On the 8th floor of a small mixed-use building, there is a hidden traditional Japanese restaurant that can only be accessed by taking the elevator. They only offer an omakase course, which is decided by the chef. The chef is a female culinary expert with published works. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with a small private room for 3 people, a counter seat, and only one private dining room. It gets filled with 3 to 4 groups. It's a perfect hideaway for adults to enjoy delicious creative Japanese cuisine. They also offer a selection of sake to pair with the meal. The prices are not listed, which can be a bit nerve-wracking at first, but it turns out to be reasonable and worth it. It's a truly appreciated dining spot.

#Mametaru #Akasaka-mitsuke Lunch Due to the impact of Omicron, there are restrictions on dining and lunch among employees, so I have been exploring new restaurants alone lately. The charming exterior makes you look forward to it. #Tuna Chuutoro Set Meal 1500 yen The menu says Chuutoro, but it is a part that is extremely close to Otoro. Excellent! In addition to the Tuna Akami and Tuna Tataki, the miso soup with plenty of ingredients in the set meal is delicious. *At night, it is a restaurant with kaiseki cuisine costing over 10,000 yen, but for lunch, you can enjoy high-quality tuna at a reasonable price. It is great that silent eating is recommended. ------------------------------------------- Mametaru Tokyo, Minato-ku, Akasaka 3-6-10 Masuyoshi Building 4 minutes walk from Akasaka-mitsuke Station, 4 minutes walk from Akasaka Station ------------------------------------------- #Akasaka-mitsuke Gourmet #Akasaka-mitsuke Lunch #Akasaka Gourmet #Akasaka Lunch #Lunch #Lunch Menu #Lunch Exploration #Gourmet of Solitude

I used it for lunch. Tuna medium-fatty tuna set meal for 1500 yen. It was a decent amount, so I decided to try it. The portion might be small for young people, but it was just right for me who is on a diet. The tuna was fresh sashimi. The side dishes were also carefully prepared. It was a very satisfying lunch.

Located on the 7th floor of a building near the intersection of Sanno, this small Japanese restaurant is the origin of the Akasaka Mitsuke area's "Mameda 3715" (formerly known as Negi) that I have introduced in my blog a few times. The large plate dishes at 3715 are also prepared daily by the proprietress of Mameda. I arrived around 8 pm and was able to enter alone after calling ahead. I sat at the counter and started my evening drink with a beer. Cheers! The beer goes down smoothly. The first dish was potato salad, which was mashed to a smooth texture and seasoned perfectly to complement the beer. It had garlic chips sprinkled on top and pickled radish inside, with a spicy kick from chili oil. Next, I enjoyed some edamame and peanuts as a snack, followed by a salad made with turnips and persimmons. The combination may seem unusual, but it was surprisingly delicious. This was followed by a plate with four items, including grated yam with soy sauce-marinated egg yolk, boiled taro with sesame salt, and a liver pate made from soy sauce-cooked chicken liver. The dishes were flavorful and paired well with beer. I also tried some grilled scallops, sashimi of Pacific saury, and a foil-steamed dish with oysters, mushrooms, and chicken breast. The liver pate was particularly tasty and had a smooth texture. Lastly, I had a matsutake mushroom chawanmushi, which was fragrant and delicious. Overall, the food was excellent, and the speedy service was impressive.

Today's lunch was at a small traditional Japanese restaurant called "Kowappo Kan Mameda" located along Esplanade Street. I used to pass by without noticing it, but I was in the mood for some comforting Japanese food, so I decided to visit. The restaurant has a total of 15 seats, with counter seats in the front and table seats in the back. For lunch, you can choose from various types of fish, but this time I ordered the red salmon. The pork miso soup was full of ingredients and you can even get a large serving for an additional 100 yen. The grilling was done perfectly, but I felt the seasoning was a bit lacking, wishing for more grated daikon radish to go with it. This time might have been a bit of a miss, so I definitely want to come back for a revenge meal at "Gindara" next time.

On the 7th floor of a warehouse building in Akasaka, a slightly intimidating storefront that might make you hesitate if you didn't know better. But once you push open the door, you're pleasantly surprised by the cozy interior. To the right, there are private rooms, and to the left, a counter. As you look at the menu and the side dishes displayed on the counter, you suddenly realize – this place is actually affiliated with the popular Akasaka restaurant "Negi"! The menu even includes grilled mackerel, just like at "Negi". I couldn't resist ordering it. The difference from "Negi" is that here, they serve a salad and small dishes first. The salad and small dishes were gently seasoned, with u-no-hana, boiled komatsuna, flavored bamboo shoots, and a hearty miso soup. It was a very healthy meal. And just like at "Negi", the rice was delicious! The way it was cooked was just perfect. Of course, I had seconds!

Visited a small Japanese restaurant called "Mameta" in Akasaka for dinner. The dishes were not extravagant, but rather comforting and gentle. It is said to be a sister restaurant of "Ofukuro no Aji Negi," another homestyle eatery in Akasaka, known for its dishes made with love by the proprietress. The proprietress has even published a recipe book, so you can enjoy her gentle cooking at home as well. A symbol of her cooking is the purple potato salad topped with garlic chips, which increases your appetite irresistibly. The meal continued with seasonal seafood such as small snow crabs, cod milt, and smelt, perfect for pairing with sake. Finally, the meal ended with miso soup and rice, and we were even given a gift of rice to take home. It was a heartwarming dining experience that made you feel like saying "I'm home!"

This is a review of a lunch at a Japanese restaurant in Akasaka called "Akasaka Lunch." It is located on the 7th floor of the Masuyoshi Building on Esplanade Street, near Akasaka Mitsuke. Recently, there was a TV show featuring a Colombian TV crew exploring Japan, and they tried various dishes including raw egg and natto served by the friendly female owner. The Colombian guest particularly enjoyed the meat and potato stew. The female owner has even published a recipe book and appeared on TV shows. I decided to visit for lunch in October. The Masuyoshi Building also houses Takazawa Bar on the 1st/2nd floor, Tribeca Dining on the 3rd floor, and a less impressive restaurant called Chacha on the 4th floor. The entrance is on a side street off Sotobori Street. The lunch menu includes dishes like salmon, salted mackerel, grilled saury, marinated cod, medicinal curry, colorful natto, and eel rice bowl. I ordered the salmon for 1,300 yen and was served a salad, side dishes, miso soup, and rice. The salmon was perfectly cooked with a crispy skin and moist flesh. The salad was refreshing with a light mayo dressing, and the side dishes were well-seasoned. The miso soup was hearty, and the rice was cooked perfectly. Overall, the meal was homely and delicious, and I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant.

The pork miso soup and side dishes were delicious, worth the price starting from 1300 yen. The red salmon was a bit too salty, maybe just a one-time thing. The miso soup was just right, not too thick or too thin, a rare find. I would like to have seconds. I will visit again, thank you for the meal! #MameTaku #AkasakaLunch

The dishes come out in small bowls one after another, and you can choose from about 40 items in total, so it's very healthy! The taste is delicious and gentle on the body. The staff are also very kind, making for a relaxing atmosphere.

A meticulously prepared Japanese meal. The rice is shiny and delicious, and although 1300 yen is not uncommon in Akasaka, the quality is definitely worth it. The fish bones are also cleanly removed, which is impressive.

Had lunch at Mameda, a hidden gem Japanese restaurant in Akasaka. It can be a bit tricky to know when they are open or if they are open today. I was brought here by a colleague who is a regular. The place has a homey feel, run by an elderly lady. The menu has a lot of fish dishes, but they also offer a unique herbal curry. I ordered the grilled mackerel for 1300 yen. The salad had a nice touch with some prosciutto. The daily side dishes were comforting and had a variety of vegetables. The miso soup also had a lot of vegetables in it, which was a pleasant surprise. The grilled mackerel was cooked right in front of me and smelled great. Even though the fish smell lingered on me when I got back to the office, the taste was worth it. The dessert was blueberries. Overall, I was very satisfied with the vegetable-rich homemade Japanese meal, although I wish the prices were a bit more budget-friendly.

Three of us visited the restaurant and were seated in the back tatami room. The interior had a charming atmosphere, with a sunken kotatsu table covered in a fluffy mat (with floor heating for cold days) and dishes being served through small ninja-like windows, which foreign visitors seemed to enjoy. The appetizers included a potato salad with pickled radish and wasabi, adult-flavored bamboo shoots and shiitake mushrooms, simmered eggplant, chicken meatballs, and stir-fried konjac, all with a slightly rich seasoning but not overpowering, with a deliciously fresh batch of rice that glistened. The miso soup was rich with daikon, enoki mushrooms, and fried tofu. The main dish, Saikyo-grilled mackerel, had a strong flavor and a crispy sear. I wished for more rice but found it hard to ask for seconds in the separate room, so I thought having an extra serving in a rice container would be nice. Although I forgot to take a photo, the dessert was a refreshing slice of watermelon. The only downside was that the hostess, who handled everything alone, was slow with refilling our tea, but considering the quality of the meal we had for 1300 yen during lunchtime in the office district, it was understandable. It may vary by personal taste, but I personally enjoy this kind of restaurant.

Visited on June 12, 2018 at 1:01 PM, this traditional Japanese restaurant is located on the 7th floor of the Masuyoshi Building, just off the main road in Akasaka. Established 33 years ago in Akasaka Rokuchome, it relocated to its current location in Akasaka Sanchome 9 years ago in 2009. The restaurant specializes in traditional Japanese cuisine that incorporates the flavors of home-cooked meals. The interior is decorated in a dark brown color scheme with a calming atmosphere. Upon entering, you will find a total of 15 seats, with counter seating at the front and table seating towards the back. During my visit, there were no other customers present initially, with only one couple entering later on. The customer base is evenly split between men and women. The menu offers a variety of dishes such as red salmon, salted mackerel, grilled saury, mackerel marinated in miso, Chinese herbal curry, five-colored natto, and eel rice bowl, all ranging from 1300 to 1500 yen. I ordered the grilled mackerel marinated in miso for 1300 yen, which included chicken, meatballs, simmered hijiki seaweed, sunny lettuce, meat dumplings, miso soup, rice, and a small dessert. The service was prompt, with the grilled mackerel being served in about 22 minutes after ordering. The meal started with a pre-appetizer of chicken, meatballs, simmered hijiki seaweed, and sunny lettuce, presented beautifully on an oval plate. The meat dumplings were moist and flavorful, while the miso soup was rich and hearty. The grilled mackerel was tender and had a subtle sweetness from the miso marinade. The meal ended with a small dessert of three sweet treats. Overall, the restaurant provided a comfortable and inviting atmosphere, with high-quality traditional Japanese cuisine that was delicious.

"Fumihata Sumiko, who has published 'The Landlady's Appetizer Recipes for All Seasons,' runs this small izakaya. It has been about 30 years since it opened in a different building in Akasaka, and I have visited a few times since then. Although I have been out of touch for many years due to work and changes in my workplace, I recently visited after a 10-year hiatus. The location has changed, but the atmosphere remains the same. The landlady seemed to remember me as well. It is a perfect place to enjoy a drink at the counter. The dishes that come out are all carefully prepared and delicious. With three beers, three drinks, and dishes, the total cost exceeds 10,000 yen, but personally, I am very satisfied with the quality. I would like to visit again soon, without being forgotten by the landlady."

I visited the traditional Japanese restaurant Mameda in Akasaka on a regular day. It is located on the 7th floor of the Masuyoshi Building, but it can be a bit hard to find. I arrived at 12:20 and all private rooms seemed to be full, so I sat at the counter where there was one available seat. The proprietress was managing everything on her own. It took about 15 minutes for the food to be served. I ordered the red salmon for 1,300 yen, which was delicately sweet and delicious. Overall, the dishes were elegant and tasty. If you go for lunch, I recommend aiming for right after they open. In the evening, the prices range from 10,000 yen and up. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal. <(_ _)>
