I visited a popular ramen shop in Ekichika at Yotsuya-sanchome, which is open until around 1 am. The location is 30 seconds walk from Yotsuya-sanchome Station on the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line, 10 minutes walk from JR Chuo Line and Sobu Line Yotsuya Station, 10 minutes walk from JR Sobu Line Shinanomachi Station, and 10 minutes walk from Toei Shinjuku Line Akebonobashi Station. The opening hours are from 11 am to 28 pm, but it is certain that they are open until 1 am. There seems to be a possibility that they are open until around 2 am. I went alone around 8 pm on a weekday. This time, I knew that there was a limited-time ramen, so I visited. There is a ticket machine at the entrance, where you can place your order. The menu includes Chicken Pork Soba (820 yen), Chicken Salt Soba (820 yen), Ichigaku Soba (1,100 yen), Chicken Fish Tsuke Soba (920 yen), Spicy Soba (920 yen), Mix Soba (920 yen), and options for extra noodles or toppings such as seasoned egg, chashu, green onion, etc. I recommend the Chicken Pork Soba and Chicken Fish Tsuke Soba, which have a creamy soup similar to a cappuccino. This time, I tried the limited-time Taiwan RED (900 yen). The seating consists of about 10 counter seats only. I sat at the counter in front of the kitchen. When handing the food ticket to the staff, I chose the mild spiciness for the Taiwan RED. The appearance of the dish was not as red as expected, more like a typical Chinese-style tantanmen. It looked appetizing with bean sprouts as a topping. The taste was delicious, with the right level of spiciness for me. The spiciness, minced meat, and miso flavor blended well with the soup and bean sprouts. The thin straight noodles were tasty and matched perfectly with the soup, bean sprouts, and minced meat, making me want to order an extra serving. The portion of noodles was quite generous. It was a delightful meal.
