Arrived at 12:30! As usual, there was a line! Bought a meal ticket at the machine and joined the queue! There were about 10 people waiting. This time I got the large portion of Chinese noodles for 930 yen! Was it good timing? I was seated in about 10 minutes! The taste was familiar, but it seemed a bit light. Still, it was delicious!

I visited the restaurant around 10:30 in the morning on a regular day. I had some work at Sunshine City earlier that day, so I decided to grab a meal before heading back to the office. When I arrived, the restaurant was just opening and there were a few customers already inside. I ordered the special dipping noodles with extra noodles for 1250 yen. The thin and curly noodles had a nice texture and were enjoyable to eat. The dipping sauce was delicious, with a good balance of sweetness, saltiness, and acidity. The large serving of noodles filled up the bowl, but there was a draining board at the bottom so the amount was just right. The seasoned egg and chashu were also tasty. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. I finished off with a soup refill.

I went to Aoba for the first time in a while. I often go to the Nakano, Omiya, and Shinjuku stores, but this store was my first time. Tsukemen for 850 yen. It tasted like youth or nostalgia. The first time I had tsukemen was at this shop. For me, I prefer this kind of broth over thick and heavy ones. The noodles had a nice texture as always. It was delicious after a long time.

I had some business at Ikebukuro Sunshine City, and even though it was past lunchtime, I decided to have lunch somewhere in the Sunshine City Alpa underground restaurant area. After looking around a few places, I decided to have the classic Aoba ramen at "Chuka Soba Aoba Ikebukuro Sunshine City" for the first time in a while. I bought a ticket for the "Special Chuka Soba" for 1,080 yen from the ticket machine outside since there was no line at 14:40, and went inside the restaurant. Inside, it was quite crowded with other customers. I sat at the counter seat guided by the staff, handed over my ticket, and waited. At 14:45, the Special Chuka Soba arrived. It came with seasoned egg, three slices of pork shoulder chashu, menma, seaweed, naruto, chopped green onions, and more. I started by tasting the soup, which was nostalgic with a double soup base and piping hot. It had been a while since I last had it, and it was delicious. The noodles were medium thick and paired well with the soup. The pork shoulder chashu was tender, juicy, and seasoned with black pepper, which was nice. I liked the thick menma, and the seasoned egg was perfectly half-cooked and tasty. I enjoyed Aoba ramen a lot. Before I knew it, I had finished it all. Another delicious meal, thank you.

There was something I needed to do at Sunshine City. Around here, it would usually be spicy miso ramen, but Ikebukuro is really crowded~ Maybe I should skip it today. I happened to see Aoba-san, and it was not busy. I wonder when was the last time I went there... The ramen here has a soft overall feel. Not in a bad way. I'm not a fan of hard-boiled or thick noodles, so I don't dislike the noodles here. It lacks a punch or depth, but it feels gentle. A gentle bowl that is easy on the stomach. It might be good for when you're feeling unwell. Thank you for the meal. This store in Sunshine City is very clean and well-maintained! It was very comfortable to be there.

I often go to Aoba because the food is simple and delicious. I personally like that it includes nori, and the prices are a bit high but worth it. I always choose the boiled egg. I love Aoba so much that I often suggest to my friends to hang out in Ikebukuro just so we can go there.

It's been about 10 years since I went to the main store in Nakano. I still love the noodles. I think I prefer the noodles over the soup. So, I decided that when I go to Aoba, I will order ramen. This is just my personal opinion.

I was able to choose between tsukemen and ramen, but since it was my first time, I chose the ramen that was also featured in the photos at the restaurant. The soup had a thick, white-like consistency with a strong bonito flavor. The chashu was also delicious. It was definitely tasty, but I felt like it could have had a bit more distinctive flavor to make it even more addictive. The service was good and the food was served promptly. It tends to get quite busy during lunchtime on weekends, but the restaurant is spacious so the wait time was shorter than expected. I visited on a Sunday just before 12 pm and waited for about 10 minutes, but when I left, the line had grown longer.

I went to Ramen Tengoku in Ikebukuro after a long time. I couldn't decide which shop to go to, but ended up choosing Aoba. Usually, I go for tsukemen at ramen shops, but both options here are delicious so I struggled before finally choosing tsukemen. It was a delicious and reliable tsukemen as always. I used to not like the slightly sour soup, but somehow I've become addicted to it. I haven't been to the main shop yet, but I would like to go there someday. Thank you for the meal.

When it comes to the double soup of fish and pork bone, Aoba is the best in SC in terms of ramen quality. The noodles are medium thickness and curly. Toppings include tender chashu, naruto, seaweed, and menma. It may be simple, but considering the cost performance, it is sufficient. Towards the end, adding yuzu pepper for flavor variation gives a moderate kick that enhances the dish even more. A revisit is definitely recommended.

I visited around 12:30 on a regular day. It was pouring rain outside, so all the underground eateries seemed crowded. We waited in line for about 15 minutes and were seated. I ordered the Chinese soba while my friend ordered the tsukemen. The ramen arrived in about 10 minutes. The atmosphere and service at the restaurant were excellent and efficient. The ramen had a clear yet flavorful soup made from a combination of pork bone and soy sauce, with thin curly noodles that soaked up the soup well. The tsukemen had thick noodles dipped in a soup with a spicy kick and a hint of acidity. It was also delicious. Overall, it's a great place to have a quick meal underground. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I visited the Chukasoba Aoba Ikebukuro Sunshine location in Toshima-ku, Tokyo. There was no line at the time, but they had barriers set up for a queue. There is a ticket machine outside where you can purchase your meal ticket before entering. I ordered the Chukasoba for 780 yen. The counter is spacious with an L-shape, and there are also several table seats available. My noodles arrived in about 6 minutes. The presentation was exactly what you would expect from Aoba. The noodles were medium-thick and curly, with a smooth and chewy texture. The soup was a blend of animal and seafood broth, with a strong seafood flavor. It was delicious and not too heavy on the stomach. I didn't finish the soup, but it was very tasty. The creator of the double soup concept is often attributed to Aoba, and it's easy to see why. The regular portion is 270 grams, and the large portion is 360 grams. The broth nicely coats the noodles, and the yuzu chili pepper provided for flavor enhancement was excellent. The toppings included chashu, sinachiku, naruto, and seaweed, keeping it simple yet satisfying. The chashu was tender with a good balance of meatiness and chewiness. Aoba's attention to balance is truly impressive. I will definitely be back. Thank you for the great meal.

Since my youngest child was sound asleep in the stroller, we decided on a ramen shop with a lot of counter seats, which is not usually our first choice. We thought it was a bit early at 5 pm, so we were surprised to see it almost full. Luckily, we were able to sit at the table furthest back without having to wait. I ordered the Chinese noodles, and my daughter ordered the dipping noodles. Both were delicious, but as a fan of the house style, I preferred the dipping noodles because the flavor was more robust. The base is similar after all. It seems that the owner of Machida Noodles used to be a manager at Aoba and then opened his own shop. Slurping the thick noodles in a seafood-based soup, with crunchy bamboo shoots. It makes me crave a beer. Located inside Sunshine City, it might be nice to have a meal here after shopping.

The special dipping noodles cost 1030 yen, just barely exceeding 1000 yen. The seafood-based dipping noodles are authentic and consistent at Daishoken Honten, which is my personal preference. However, this place is also very delicious. Be careful as there can be long lines if you go at the wrong time. Even on holidays, it seems relatively empty at night. It gets crowded in the spring. The ramen has chewy noodles with a high water content that cling well to the soup. Take your time to enjoy it, as dipping noodles can get cold quickly. Delicious and reliable!

Although there is also a shop in Funabashi near my home, I visited the branch in the underground Alpa Amioji at Sunshine in Ikebukuro for a specific reason. After waiting inside, I sat at the counter and soon the hot tsukemen arrived. The curly noodles were glossy in the dipping sauce, with a simple yet flawless visual. I took a bite of the noodles, which had a good texture with a wheaty feel. The slightly spicy dipping sauce, a mix of animal and seafood flavors, matched well with the noodles, creating a delicious combination. Come to think of it, it was mentioned that there were thick noodles, but was it based on preference?

The soup, made in a traditional pot, has a timeless deliciousness. The medium-thick noodles are also deliciously chewy. The chashu, menma, and naruto are also well-prepared. Despite being a chain store with 20 locations mainly in Tokyo, I was hesitant at first, but the taste is consistently good. I should try visiting the main store in Nakano.
