Wow! I had an amazing tempura meal in Yushima! I was craving tempura for lunch on Saturday and after searching and searching, I found this place! It seems like it opened last April and the restaurant is clean and perfect for a date. I made a reservation the day before and ordered the lunch A course for 3000 yen, but ended up changing to the B course for 5000 yen after hearing about the ingredients and their dedication. Cheers with a Mustard Dream! The shrimp tempura was delicious, starting with a "saimaki" shrimp, which is known as a "career shrimp" in the fish market. Did you know that shrimp weighing less than 30g are called "maki," and within that, smaller ones are called "komaki" and "saimaki"? As they grow, their names change. The shrimp legs are flavorful and the shrimp itself is amazing! The eggplant was from Kumamoto, large and juicy, a tempura eggplant like I've never had before. Delicious! The Japanese whiting and conger eel were both transparent and you could taste the dedication to the ingredients. The ginkgo nuts were famous and had a unique flavor I've never experienced before. The tempura here is best enjoyed with three kinds of gentle salt, or dipped in the tempura sauce made from dried bonito flakes. It was a blissful moment! The wine was flowing and the tempura was fried perfectly, light and flavorful. The tempura fried in sesame oil was so good, I could eat as much as I wanted! Sesame oil is good for blood pressure, which is important for someone like me who lives a thrilling life and doesn't always know how high their blood pressure is. The service and attention to detail were amazing, a rare find. I would recommend this place over any famous restaurant in the city, I think it's Michelin-level. The dinner course may be pricey, but for the amount and quality you get at lunch for this price, it's fantastic. This time, with drinks and additional dishes, it came to about 14,000 yen for one person, but even at around 5,000 yen, you'll be satisfied. I am confident that this is a top-notch restaurant that will leave you completely satisfied. Remember this place, "Muramatsu," for tempura!
