I was surprised to find a cozy restaurant near Ueno Station with such a calm atmosphere. I enjoyed a delicious meal and tasty drinks in a semi-private room, and I left feeling satisfied.

I was taken out for lunch on Sunday and they reserved a course for us. It was brought in a bento box, which got me excited. In addition to what's shown in the picture, we also had shirasu (whitebait) and chestnut mixed rice. It took quite some time for the food to be served, but considering the quality and the number of customers, it was acceptable. The restroom was clean, and the restaurant is child-friendly.

Before corona, I used to come to Ueno often... The atmosphere in front of the park from the JR station was a bit different. First, for lunch. A small bowl with salmon roe and crab on top! And the Inaniwa udon was cooked perfectly. The variety may not be large, but I was satisfied because I could eat what I wanted and it was delicious. I was also happy that the lunch came with a drink♪

I ordered the salmon and ikura set meal and a kids' lunch. The restaurant had semi-private tatami seating, which was perfect for dining with my 1.5-year-old. It was located near the station, making it easily accessible even with a stroller. After the meal, we took the elevator to the rooftop of the same building and smoothly moved to the museum!

Before entering the restaurant, they kindly accepted our luggage (including storing souvenirs in the refrigerator) which was very helpful. They quickly adjusted the air conditioning when it was too cold upon entering. As we were with a child, we reserved a sunken kotatsu-style table, which was like a semi-private room with a blocked view from other seats, making it comfortable for us. There were many foreign staff members, so communication was a bit difficult, but the food was delicious overall. Especially, the recommended tofu was like cheese and very tasty. Other highlights were the olive and dried fish rice cooked in a clay pot and the yakitori.

The bright and clean interior of the restaurant was made of glass, with counter seats making it easy for solo diners. I have visited other branches of this restaurant before, but this was my first time at the Ueno branch. It is conveniently located near the station and easy to find. It seems like many of the staff members are from overseas, so sometimes there were communication issues with details.

I had lunch before going to the art museum near Ueno Station at the Sound Bamboo Garden restaurant next to the parking lot. I had the set meal with Inaniwa udon and crab and salmon roe rice bowl. It was a hot day, so the udon was delicious. The meal also came with iced coffee afterwards.

Individual private room lunch with traditional Japanese cuisine in Ueno! Located in Bamboo Garden, easy to find. I had the salmon ikura bowl, it was delicious. The price range is between 1000 yen to 2000 yen, and being able to reserve a private room for lunch feels special. I will definitely come back again.

Located on the second floor of Bamboo Garden near Ueno Station's Yamashita exit. It was a late lunch, but there were a few people waiting outside. I had made a reservation, so when I entered, there were plenty of seats available. It seems like they are short-staffed. They offer various lunch options, and I ordered the Daimyo Gozen, which comes with a variety of small dishes. It comes in a large bowl, which I found a bit exaggerated - a tray would have been better, I think. If you are a Clione member, you can get a discount on the Daimyo Gozen. I showed the app and got the discount without any issues.

I had the Salmon Ikura Don for 1580 yen. The ikura was in a small bowl and the salmon was on top of the rice bowl. It was a delicious dish. They offered free brown rice, but unfortunately they had run out that day. There were over 100 reservations that day, mostly female students, so the restaurant was bustling.

The restaurant is a chain run mostly by Asian staff. The course menu for 5500 yen with all-you-can-drink was quite delicious compared to 20 years ago. It used to be that you could find places for 4000 yen with all-you-can-drink that had decent content. The clean private room was perfect for conversation over drinks. The menu included seasonal appetizers, soup, sashimi, vegetable sushi, simmered dish, grilled dishes, seasonal rice dish, pickles, red miso soup, and seasonal dessert.

Colorful Daimyo Panda Princess Meal - Arrived at the opening time on Saturday at 11 a.m. - Before opening, there were about 7-8 groups waiting in line, mainly with children, but the restaurant is spacious so everyone was able to enter. There were still plenty of seats available. - The Daimyo Panda Princess dish came in a huge bowl, making a powerful impression. However, the portion size was normal, so there was no need to worry about it being too much.

On this day, I had lunch at the Otooto Ueno Bamboo Garden restaurant located in Ueno Sakura Terrace. The restaurant offers a variety of Japanese dishes, and it was bustling with customers during lunchtime. I ordered the tonkatsu set, which was delicious. The sauce, made by grinding sesame seeds and mixing it into the sauce, was exceptional and satisfying. The meal came with rice, side dishes, and miso soup, all of which were delicious.

The interior of the restaurant, the spaciousness, and the service were all excellent. The food, drinks, Daimyo Gozen set meal, and dessert were delicious. It seemed very popular, as there was a sign at the entrance stating that only those with reservations from the previous day were allowed in. During lunchtime, it was quite busy, and there was a slight wait between receiving the cheers drink and the food. I was a bit surprised when the dessert was brought out relatively early in the meal, but it was a pleasant surprise that it wasn't just a simple sorbet. The staff provided coat hangers and the seating and food were all enjoyable. I would like to visit again if given the chance.

It's been a while since my last visit!! The tofu dessert was delicious, and the motsunabe was also very tasty!! The food was very satisfying, but the customer service was very disappointing. In Japan, it seems that hospitality and consideration are important. I understand that you are busy, but it would have been better if you had taken our entire order at once and then left us alone. It's a shame because the food is so delicious.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice, especially the interior. As for the food, the presentation of the Daimyo Gozen was impressive, but the taste was just okay and felt a bit expensive. The crab and salmon roe rice bowl had more salmon roe than crab, but it tasted delicious. The hojicha pudding served after the meal was surprisingly too sweet because of the caramel. I like sweet things, but this was too much.

Visited a large traditional Japanese restaurant called "Otone" in Ueno Bamboo Garden at around 12pm on a holiday in February 2023. Made a reservation and was guided to a semi-private tatami room on the second floor. Sat at a sunken kotatsu table with two other people. Ordered the "Colorful Daimyo Gozen" for ¥2,500, which came with a choice of white or brown rice - we chose brown rice. Also requested a draft beer, which turned out to be a good deal at ¥380 instead of the usual ¥580 during lunchtime. The Ebisu beer was a nice surprise. The food arrived after a 10-minute wait - the Colorful Daimyo Gozen consisted of 8 dishes, including tempura shrimp, tempura eggplant, tuna and sea bream sashimi, and more. Enjoyed the meal with beer, rice, and miso soup. The variety of dishes like rolled omelette, sesame tofu, and simmered beef and burdock were all delicious. The flavors were decent, and the combination of beer and traditional Japanese cuisine was enjoyable. Although the portions were small, the overall experience was satisfying considering the price. Ended the meal with a delightful hojicha pudding dessert and a cup of coffee. Enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the tatami room and had a pleasant time chatting over coffee. "Otone" provided a calm and enjoyable dining experience even during the busy lunch hour. The ambiance was great, and it was a nice place without too much noise. Would recommend for both lunch and dinner visits.

We used a private room for a family birthday party. The raised seating area had a sunken kotatsu table, but this time we were seated at a regular table. There were 17 of us, but the room was spacious and the food and drinks were served smoothly, so we were very satisfied. They offer a birthday plate for a fee. The drinks menu focuses on Made in Japan items, with many appealing choices. I would like to use it for dinner next time.

I visited this restaurant for the first time after seeing a special exhibition at the National Museum of Nature and Science. It has a calm and traditional Japanese atmosphere. I arrived around 3:30 pm and was happy to find out that I could still order from the lunch menu. I ordered the "Chura Island Agu Pork with Shio Koji Grilled Dish and Mountain Yam Set Meal" along with a glass of wine. The set meal arrived in about 10 minutes, complete with a side dish. I enjoyed pouring the shio koji sauce over the pork and savoring the light and easy-to-eat meat. The natural yam was also delicious, and the seasoning of the side dish of hijiki was well done. The set meal was well put together and very tasty. I heard that there are several branches of the restaurant "Oto Oto," so I look forward to visiting them as well. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

The first visit to this restaurant was shortly after I joined my current company, where we used it for entertaining clients. The impression was very good, and the clients seemed to really like it as well, as they continued to use it every time they came to Tokyo. I also used it again for entertaining the same clients. Recently, on a Friday night, I had a ladies' night out scheduled. When I tried to make a reservation for a private room, I was told that I had to order a course meal along with the reservation. So, I ended up reserving a semi-private room. When I arrived, the restaurant was quite crowded, and the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. Even after being seated, no one came to take our order. I tried to use a coupon or add the restaurant on LINE, but I couldn't figure it out. When I asked a staff member, they didn't know either and had to call a manager. I asked a few questions, and the response was to call them after we had decided on our order. We finally ordered: 1. Yuba and dried fish green salad (served before the appetizer and drinks) 2. Soft bamboo mochi tofu (we were advised to try one first as it was very rich) 3. Homemade crab cream croquette 4. Harami skewers 5. Wagyu beef steak with black angus sauce (smaller than expected) 6. Kyoto Kujo green onion rolled omelette with plenty of natural dashi broth 7. Brulee with Oku-Kuji egg and Japanese sugar All the dishes, including those not mentioned, were delicious. However, the staff seemed understaffed that day, as everything took a long time to come out, and we ended up feeling a bit unsatisfied with the amount of food. Overall, it was a bit disappointing, but I think on a different day, the experience would have been much better.

I made a reservation because I wanted to eat Japanese food. The room I was guided to was a semi-private room, so I could eat slowly without worrying about my surroundings. The access from the station was good, the restaurant was clean, and the atmosphere was nice. Depending on the seating area, it seems like a good place for families with children too. ^ ^
