Edo Street stretches from Asakusabashi to Kuramae and Asakusa. Along the small road on the east side parallel to this street, there are many good shops. One of them is Kuramae Cannelé, a canelé specialty store that opened in January 2023. You order at the counter facing the street, and the baking time is clearly indicated, so it's best to go buy it at the right timing if you want to eat it freshly baked. They offer a variety of drinks, but there is only one type of canelé available. It costs 290 yen for one, 840 yen for three, and 1,680 yen for six. They also have a set with canelé and soft serve ice cream for 650 yen. The canelé itself is relatively small in size and easy to eat. The outside is crispy, while the inside is moist, striking a perfect balance. In short, it was a canelé that suited my taste. If you have the same preference, it might be perfect for you. Highly recommended.

The schedule was tight so I couldn't dine in on the second floor and opted for takeout instead. Even though the prices were listed as 1, 3, 6 pieces, you could purchase any number, so I bought 5. They were ready at 3:00 and I bought them around 3:30, but they were still warm. The first floor is a free space, with some people waiting for the second floor and others like me enjoying their canelés on the spot. It's quite spacious so you can relax. There's free Wi-Fi too, which is convenient. The canelés are small but crispy on the outside. The caramel is sweet and the freshly baked taste is satisfying. The Grand Canelé, only available on the second floor, costs 700 yen. It's slightly larger but quite expensive. The prices for sets and individual items are the same, so it's better to order only what you want.

There is a Cannele specialty store in Kuramae that is known for its freshly baked Canneles. Recently, it has been featured in various places so I was curious to try it out. The first floor is for takeout, while the second floor is a cafe. There was a bit of a line for the takeout, but luckily we were able to walk right into the cafe. I ordered the Grand Cannele and Fresh Cheese Cake. The Cannele was slightly larger so I had to use a knife and fork to eat it. The outside was crispy while the inside was soft and chewy. Unfortunately, it wasn't freshly baked. I wonder if only the takeout section sells freshly baked ones. The sizes were different too, but it was still delicious. The Fresh Cheese Cake paired well with the tangy sauce and was very tasty. I couldn't help but worry about the calories though. The menu has a lot of items with alcohol, so it's best to check before ordering. The items I ordered this time didn't have any alcohol, so it's safe for children too.

While exploring the cafes in Kuramae, I happened to come across this shop. There was a long line, with about 30 people waiting, so I decided to enjoy some canelés and soft serve ice cream in the spacious first-floor waiting area. It seemed like they renovated what used to be a parking space into this waiting area. The place was clean and comfortable, with nice restrooms. I usually don't like canelés, but these were delicious, so I would like to visit the cafe next time.

I wanted to go to a different restaurant, but ended up finding this one nearby and decided to give it a try! There was a wait of 8 groups, but it only took about 30 minutes. The interior of the restaurant was very cute and had a nice atmosphere. Even though it was full, the food was served in about 15 minutes, which was surprisingly quick considering how busy it was. I'm not a fan of sweet things and had never tried canelé before, but it was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, and delicious. I ordered the chestnut fruit tea, which was pleasantly sweet and tasty. I ended up staying longer than planned because the place was so cozy. It was my first time visiting this area, but I'm glad I found such a nice restaurant!

I stopped by KURAMAE CANNELE CAFÉ in Kuramae for my lunch break. I ordered the Grand Canele & Peach Parfait set. The canele had a crispy exterior and a slightly moist and sweet interior, which I found delicious. The peach parfait was made with fresh peaches from Yamanashi Prefecture, with large chunks of fruit and a variety of peach sweets inside, including compote and granita. The rose and apricot tea jelly added a fragrant and flavorful touch to the parfait. The tea that came with the set was an original blend called "Canele de Tea," which paired well with the canele, enhancing the vanilla flavor. The café is located a few minutes' walk from Kuramae Station on the Asakusa Line. The second-floor seating area was spacious, with a relaxed atmosphere and comfortable sofa seating that made me feel like I was having an upscale afternoon tea experience. The café's attention to detail, such as bell-shaped canele holders and unique sugar containers, added to its charm. They also offer takeout options for freshly baked canele. I would recommend stopping by for a delicious treat, and I look forward to returning for the parfait and canele set in a different season. It was a delightful experience, thank you!

A traditional French Bordeaux confection called "canelé" is baked in a canelé mold, which has a distinctive groove. The outer layer is crispy and fragrant, while the inside is moist and chewy, creating a unique texture. Canelé specialty shops have started to appear in Japan, including one in Kuramae. The first floor offers takeout and simple eat-in options, while the second floor has a café where you can enjoy other sweets in addition to canelés. The canelés, baked in-store using specialty eggs, are carefully crafted. Customers start lining up around 10 minutes before opening on weekdays, eager to purchase freshly baked canelés. Please note that cash is not accepted. Each canelé costs 290 yen and is wrapped in cute wax paper. I haven't had canelés often, so I can't make a simple comparison, but the crispy surface and soft, chewy interior create a wonderful contrast. The aroma of the fragrant oil and the richness of the eggs cling to the tongue, bringing happiness from the first bite. Many customers were buying in bulk, but the cute packaging makes it a great souvenir option.

The crispy, chewy, and sweet canelés make you feel happy. Next to the store, there is a free space on the first floor of the building where you can sit down and enjoy your takeout canelés and drinks. I tried the "Kimino Yuzu" yuzu squash, but it didn't really match well with the sweet canelés. It's better to go for unsweetened tea or coffee here. There are small tables where you can relax. Plus, there is a hook for dog leashes, so it's okay to bring your furry friend along. I thought it was wonderful that you can enjoy canelés as a pit stop during a dog walk (I don't have a dog). In the café on the second floor, they didn't have plain canelés, only canelé variations. I saw a man in a suit buying them in bulk, probably as souvenirs. I thought anyone bringing back Zomachi Canelé as souvenirs for their workplace had great taste.

In the first-floor store, only take-out menu items are pet-friendly. The seating area is not very spacious, but the aisle is wide, making it easy for strollers and carts to enter. The service is good, and they have pet-friendly features like leash hooks. I think it's the most delicious canelé I've ever had! The outside is not too hard, even when not freshly baked, it's still crispy, while the inside is soft like pudding, creating a variety of textures that I love. It has a nice aroma as well. It's not expensive, delicious, pet-friendly inside, right next to the station, and popular but no lines! It was really the best. However, even though it's indoors, I got bitten by about five mosquitoes.

There is a popular canelé specialty shop in Kuramae. The shop is located on the second floor of a building, with takeout services on the first floor and a salon-like setting on the second floor, complete with elegant pink sofas. Customers take a numbered ticket and wait to be called. If there is space available, they are seated within a few minutes. I ordered a set plate of tiramisu and canelés, along with the recommended tea that pairs well with the plate. The presentation of the dishes, brought in on a wagon, is beautiful and photogenic.

Cannele... it's so chic. I'm a bit of a country bumpkin thinking it looks like karinto, but I really wanted to try it so I went. Later on, I headed from here to Asakusa and there are lots of trendy shops along the way. Among them, this shop is the most stylish. Next to it is a record store, so maybe it's a cool place to chill? It was so stylish that I got it to go. The packaging was also so chic... I keep saying chic the whole time, but it's just the epitome. The taste was also chic. Not too sweet, chewy and crispy. I kind of wanted to try the soft serve one. I don't really understand the effort that goes into making cannele... honestly, it's expensive.

I visited the cafe of Kuramae Canule, where peaches are now available. I ordered the Mon Grand Canule & Peach Parfait (1800 yen). For takeout Canules, there is a window on the roadside, and the cafe is on the 1st floor, where you get a ticket and wait for your turn to be called on the 2nd floor by elevator. When I entered the shop around 11 am on a weekday, there were no other customers. I was seated at a window-side sofa. When I ordered the dessert plate, I was informed that I could also order a drink set with an iced tea for an additional 480 yen. You order and pay at your seat. Now, about the peach parfait I came for. The parfait consists of Yamanashi peach fresh compote, granita (sherbety ice confection), jelly, yogurt ice cream, black tea jelly, creme d'ange (rare cheesecake), and salt crunch. The fresh peaches with skin and the compote inside were large and delicious! The jelly and the cheesecake's sweet and sour taste, as well as the salt crunch, provided various textures and flavors that were very satisfying. The Canule served on the 2nd floor cafe is different from the takeout version, slightly larger in size, made with Canule-specific eggs, with a hint of rum, and a crispy texture on the surface from beeswax. Enjoying cold dessert and luxurious Canules in the calm atmosphere of the 2nd floor cafe was perfect for treating myself on a hot summer day. I had never been to this local shop before, but I am glad I visited during peach season. I enjoyed my meal that day as well. Thank you for the delicious experience.

I visited during the daytime on a holiday. The cafe looked full, but the takeout area was calm even during the holiday. The canelé was moist inside and crispy outside, very delicious. The price felt a bit high, but considering it's in Tokyo, it's understandable.

A must-visit Canele specialty store that is perfect for Instagram. Located in the competitive cafe district of Kuramae, this shop sells freshly baked Caneles. You can take them to go, but there is also a cafe on the second floor for dining in. The interior of the cafe is a treasure trove of Instagrammable spots, with many female Instagrammers taking photos. Not only is it Instagrammable, but the Caneles are delicious, and if you dine in, you can enjoy them with cakes or parfaits. They offer a variety of teas that pair well with Caneles, such as flavored tea, herbal tea, and milk tea. The clientele is mostly female, and it may be difficult to visit again due to its location, but it was a great experience.【Reviewer's Instagram】@summer_foodlog

On Sunday, after finishing up my errands around 11 o'clock, I was about to board at Kuramae Station when I heard there was a canelé shop nearby. I decided to stop by and take some to go. I took some photos while waiting. The shop had a sales area on the first floor, a space for eating takeout next to it, and it seemed like there was a café on the second floor as well. The takeout was ready quickly, and I enjoyed it at home. The size was a bit small, but the taste was great with a nice crunch and no overpowering flavors. It paired well with the dry white wine I was drinking. It's not an area I visit often, but if I come back, I would definitely stop by again. Thank you for the meal!

Started from June 28th, the Cannele & Peach Parfait set is amazing. I initially thought the Cannele was just a bonus, but the Parfait itself is of high quality. They use a whole peach in it. Every component, such as yogurt ice cream and black tea jelly, is carefully made and impressive. The crunchy salted crunch at the bottom is both salty and sweet, and it's fantastic. The Cannele here has a crispy exterior and a moist interior. It's rich but not heavy, which is surprising. Ever since trying the Cannele here, I've become a Cannele enthusiast and have been trying them at various places. Delicious!

I got a 3-pack to go. I had been curious about this place since it opened, but hadn't felt like having canelé until now. They were really delicious. The outside was crispy and the inside had a rich custard-like texture. I will definitely come back for more. It's a bit pricey, but would make a great gift to bring. Thank you for the delicious treat!

I tried the Kozue Cannele, 6 pieces for 1680 yen. I had high expectations after seeing it on TV, but it didn't really impress me. As a specialty cannele shop, I expected something different from the canneles I occasionally eat at bakeries. The cannele had a crispy exterior and a moist interior with a refined sweetness. However, there was a greasiness that left a sticky feeling on my upper palate, which bothered me a lot. Maybe it was because I had it the next day instead of on the same day? It was disappointing as I had high hopes...
