I visited "TOKYO Tonkotsu BASE MADE by Hakata Ippudo Ikebukuro Store" in Ikebukuro. It's a new brand of the famous "Hakata Ippudo" in Tokyo. It's really hot outside, and the sun is scorching. I decided to visit this ramen shop to escape the heat. The stylish red and black sign caught my eye. I bought a meal ticket, which I could pay for with my Suica card. I handed it to the staff and soon received my order of the Special Tonkotsu Ramen (1060 yen tax included). The creamy tonkotsu soup had that signature "Ippudo" taste, and the black burnt soy sauce added a nice touch. The noodles were initially "normal" and had a soft texture that was easy to eat. The thin noodles paired well with the soup. The chashu had a good amount of fatty texture and wasn't too heavy. The wood ear mushrooms and seasoned egg also added to the dish. I added an extra serving of noodles (150 yen tax included) and this time requested them to be "firm". They arrived quickly and had a slightly firmer texture, which also complemented the tonkotsu ramen well. I enjoyed adding pickled ginger, garlic, and spicy mustard greens to enhance the flavors. Despite the heat, this type of food felt good for my body as I sweated. The rich and salty tonkotsu ramen was delicious and had a comforting taste. I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal.

I was hungry so I had a slightly late lunch. I sometimes come here when transferring trains. I tried the limited-time tsukemen at Tokyo Tonkotsu Base. It was rich but refreshing, perfect for a hot day! It was hot in Aichi too, but it's hot here as well. My stomach is full so I should head home soon. I've been on a business trip and my nerves are shot, so when I get home, I need to recharge. My youngest daughter will help me relax.

Ikefukurou Ramen is a ramen shop located in front of Ikebukuro Station, known as a popular meeting spot. The shop has only counter seating. On the counter, you can find a pitcher of water, pickled ginger, soy vinegar, pepper, and sesame within easy reach. I tried the Tonkotsu Ajitama Ramen for 940 yen. I added pickled ginger to the ramen and it was delicious. When I was in my 20s, about 20 years ago, people used to add so much pickled ginger to Tonkotsu ramen that the soup turned pink. I wish they also provided garlic.

While checking in on my subordinates' well-being, I continued to enjoy Gin Daikon Highball at the restaurant. Since they didn't have Lemon Sour, I opted for the Highball. I had planned to continue our one-on-one meeting, but we ended up sitting side by side at the counter, enjoying delicious ramen, and that was how we wrapped up the day!

The location is great. It feels like it's almost inside the station even though it's outside the ticket gates. It costs 1140 yen for a bowl of ramen, which is a bit pricey considering how many ramen places are now charging over 1000 yen. The quality of the taste is solid, reminiscent of Ippudo. The price of 1300 yen for a bowl with an extra serving of noodles seems a bit high.

I visited this place that is like an evolved version of Ippudo with a quick meal concept. Of course, I ordered the full-topping with gyoza. The taste was just like Ippudo. It was simply delicious. It's even better when you add plenty of pickled ginger and spicy mustard greens. Thank you for the meal.

Special Pork Bone Ramen for 1060 yen. I visited today for a quick meal before the deadline! This place seems to be affiliated with Ippudo. The soup is easy to drink with no off-flavors, and the pork bone soup is slightly emulsified with added pork fat, which is nice. It's impressive that they serve this taste at a station. It tastes even better with lots of spicy mustard greens. I ordered the noodles firm. Chewing them well brings out a nice wheat flavor, but the portion size is a bit small. The spicy mustard greens are amazingly delicious. I already like spicy mustard greens, and they taste great when mixed with the noodles. It seems like it would also go well with rice. Overall, it's delicious but not very cost-effective. Considering the convenience of being at a station, it's recommended for when you're short on time.

I had a sudden craving for tonkotsu ramen at night, and coincidentally found a tonkotsu ramen shop nearby, so I rushed in! It is located near the east exit of Ikebukuro Station. It seems to be affiliated with Ippudo. I bought a ticket at the ticket machine and sat at the counter. I was able to choose the firmness of the noodles when I handed over the ticket. The ramen arrived without much wait! Delicious!! It was consistently delicious, maybe because it's affiliated with Ippudo. I would love to visit again if I have the chance!

Ikebukuro Station JR North Exit gate is right there. It's an area with many ramen shops, but the convenience of being able to eat right in the station is appealing. I had the tonkotsu ramen and it was really delicious. I didn't realize it was a shop produced by Ippudo. Now that I think about it, the bowls are similar. I also like that they have sesame seeds available. I was very satisfied.

Producer's ramen shop. Second visit. More than a year ago, I visited without any information, and only realized it on the way back after the meal. As a tonkotsu ramen lover, I decided to visit again after a long time! I went for the basic barikata. The presentation is stylish! With tonkotsu ramen, I expected a more masculine touch... but as expected from IPPUDO... The soup is incredibly light and delicious. It's still rich as a tonkotsu soup, but IPPUDO has managed to create a taste that is easy for women and children to enjoy, while emphasizing the pork bone flavor without the strong smell. Perhaps due to the influence of the pandemic, when I asked, they provided me with takana and pickled ginger. I tried a small amount of takana at first, but it wasn't too spicy... so I added more! The strongest level of spiciness is usually too much for me, but as expected from the original producer! It's tough to finish it all, but I managed to finish it. Thank you for the meal.

After a regular visit to the hospital, I got off at Ikebukuro Station and went to a bicycle specialty store called Y'sRoad to buy some equipment. I was trying to decide where to have lunch as I walked around, but couldn't find a restaurant that caught my eye. I didn't feel like going to the food courts at Seibu Department Store or Parco, so I wasn't sure what to do next. As I headed towards the west exit of Ikebukuro Station, I stumbled upon "TOKYO Tonkotsu BASE MADE by Hakata Ippudo". They had various ramen options listed on a sign outside the shop, and after careful consideration, I decided to challenge myself with the "Tonkotsu Red - Spicy" ramen priced at 880 yen. I bought the ticket at the machine inside the shop and took a seat at the counter near the entrance. The counter had clear plastic sheets for COVID-19 prevention. The staff handed me a cup of water, and I handed over my ticket. When asked if I wanted it spicy or very spicy, I chose very spicy. The staff seemed concerned, but I reassured them that I could handle it. I requested the noodles to be cooked firm. The staff cheerfully announced the arrival of my "Red Spicy" ramen. I struggled a bit with tying the paper apron around my neck, but eventually managed to secure it properly. With my battle gear in place, I declared "Let's eat" and started savoring the red, spicy broth filled with green onions, pork belly, and spicy minced pork. The noodles were yellow and straight, soaking up the spicy broth. Despite the intense spiciness, the rich tonkotsu flavor still shone through. The pork belly slices were not too abundant, but still added a nice touch. I didn't opt for extra noodles this time. After finishing the meal, I felt a pleasant tingling sensation on my lips as I walked through the passageway. Despite eating the very spicy ramen, I didn't feel like my mouth was on fire. I look forward to trying the white or black ramen next time.

I stopped by on my way home because I was feeling hungry and wanted to eat something at the station. There were so many menu options that I had a hard time deciding, but I ended up ordering the pork bone black soup. The soup had a rich and thick flavor, and it was really delicious! I thought that medium or thick noodles would go well with the rich soup, but since it's Ippudo, it can't be helped. I'm not a big eater, but with thin noodles, I felt slightly unsatisfied with a regular serving. I might try ordering an extra serving of noodles next time!

I went to a shop that I had been curious about every time I passed by Ikebukuro. I arrived at 13:00, bought a meal ticket, and luckily there was a seat available. I ordered the Tonkotsu Shiro ramen. I requested garlic and ginger to the staff. A big garlic clove soaked in water and a garlic crusher appeared! It was very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Limited time offer: Rich Miso Tonkotsu Ramen for 950 yen. Located outside the north ticket gate of Ikebukuro Station JR East Exit. A prime location that anyone can easily access anytime. MADE by Ippudo. As indicated by these words, the menu is based on Hakata tonkotsu ramen. Miso ramen suits well in the cold season. Intrigued by the limited time offer mentioned on the storefront sign, I tried the rich miso tonkotsu ramen. The interior has only counter seats, designed for staff to work efficiently. The entrance ticket machine accepts transportation IC cards. You hand over the food ticket to the staff. They will ask about the firmness of the noodles, I chose normal. Condiments like spicy pickled vegetables, red pickled ginger, and garlic are available at the counter for you to request from the staff. They are not placed on the table due to COVID-19 measures. The presentation of the rich miso tonkotsu ramen is beautiful. Toppings include spicy green onions, one slice of chashu, bean sprouts, a small amount of cabbage, and finely chopped onions. The noodles are thin, with a slightly firm texture that leaves a pleasant chewiness. Personally, I feel that curly thick noodles would have been a better match for miso ramen. Extra noodles are available for 100 yen for a regular serving and 70 yen for a small serving. The soup, as expected from its appearance, is rich and bold. Actually, it turned out to be even richer than anticipated. It hits you with a strong flavor right from the start. Perhaps due to adding miso to the tonkotsu broth, or maybe it's just a large amount of miso used? The saltiness is quite pronounced, so finishing the entire bowl might be challenging. The spiciness of the green onions helps balance the saltiness, and overall, it was a satisfying bowl that warms you up. Enjoy!

Here is the Tokyo Tonkotsu. Here is the Hakata Tonkotsu. The Hakata Tonkotsu is white and has a rich, mellow, and flavorful taste. The soup is incredibly delicious. However, the noodles are a bit thin. I prefer medium-thick noodles like in the Kika Ramen.

Ippudo is a convenient restaurant near the station with quick service even during busy times. The taste is consistent, the staff is efficient and friendly, making it a pleasant experience. I recommend trying the Tonkotsu Plain with extra sesame and plenty of red ginger.

I finally went to this local place that I hadn't had a chance to visit before. I was put off by the high prices, assuming they were set high because it's in Ikebukuro. But not everyone here is wealthy. The staff were friendly, but the portion sizes did not seem worth the price. The flavor of the soy sauce ramen was lacking in richness. I also ordered gyoza as an extra, but they were half the size I expected for the price. The cost performance is terrible. And of course, this place is not suitable for families with children. I don't think I'll be going back for a second visit.

Akadama (850) Hitokuchi Gyoza at Ippudo is definitely the spicy bean sprouts that hit the spot! Just the fact that it's all-you-can-eat makes it perfect for enjoying with drinksヽ(=´▽`=)ノ♡ It's a struggle now that I can't drink, but the soup is delicious too (*^^*)
