Some people may prefer the milder pepper flavor, but ultimately it comes down to whether it pairs well with beer or not. Today, I realized that the taste of the chicken wings itself is different. You know that unique smell of chicken meat? I couldn't sense that at all. And then, the miso skewers. I think this level of satisfaction is necessary. It's cheap at 240 yen, but still worth it. Furthermore, the egg over rice. At first, I thought there was too much moisture when I cracked it, but once mixed with you, it showed its ability. It brings out a rich umami flavor. In any case, I'm glad it could make a comeback. I was really prepared when it disappeared from Shinbashi, and the closure due to the coronavirus was tough, but I'm relieved now. Thank you for the meal.

I usually use it around 7:00 p.m. It is located near Shinagawa Station in a building with many corporate offices, so there were quite a few people. The restroom and smoking area are located outside the shop. It was a very delicious restaurant with great chicken wings. The service was good too. I would like to visit again.

A restaurant in Shinagawa that saves lunch refugees! They have a counter so it's easy to go alone! The turnover is good so even if there's a bit of a line, you can get in quickly! They have daily lunch specials so you won't get bored even if you go every day. I'd like to visit their izakaya at night next time.

This is a restaurant located on the 2nd floor of the Shinagawa Front Building, specializing in fried chicken and seafood. It is located in the corner of the floor! You can choose between fried chicken set or seafood options. Even if you choose seafood, you will still get one piece of fried chicken! Seafood and daily specials tend to sell out by the 1 o'clock hour, so I recommend going around noon. The food comes out quickly after ordering. It's a great place for a quick office lunch, so I go there often. There are private rooms in the back as well. You can pay with any cashless method other than PayPay, but if you split the payment, you won't get individual receipts. It's delicious, fast, so I will definitely go back again!

I visited the restaurant a little before 12 o'clock on a regular day. I was able to sit down smoothly, but the place was already quite crowded. I ordered the miso katsu set meal for 950 yen. As the title suggests, if you order by 12 o'clock, you get a drink service, so I ordered oolong tea. The food arrived in just a few minutes. I imagined the miso katsu to be a tonkatsu with a sweet miso sauce unique to Nagoya, but it actually came with regular sauce on the side, allowing for flavor variation and appealing to those who prefer regular tonkatsu. The side dishes were also nice. When I finished eating and left, there were already more than 5 people waiting in line. I recommend arriving before 12 o'clock to avoid waiting, enjoy the drink service, and have a pleasant dining experience.

Meeting with former colleagues from my previous job after several years. The restaurant, including the second-floor dining area, was bustling and lively. The chicken wings had a rich flavor that paired well with beer. The chicken wing dumplings were also satisfying and delicious. We had only planned to have a quick drink, but ended up ordering more chicken wings and enjoying highballs. It was fantastic.

Wind Lai Fang @ Shinagawa for a gathering with deep discussions - March 23, 2023 Silicon Valley-connected friends gathered for a meal with intense discussions at Wind Lai Fang in Shinagawa. The members' depth made the discussions even more intense. Being a Nagoya-style meal, the flavors were rich. The intensity of the doteyaki flavor added to the discussions. But it was delicious. It made me crave for some sake. Surprisingly, the tamagoyaki was also delicious. The kishimen and tarako pasta surprisingly paired well and were quite tasty. The ice cream we couldn't finish looked delicious too. For those working in the Shinagawa Front Building, it's conveniently located just a minute away from the second floor elevator exit, making it an easy choice for after-work gatherings. From Shinagawa Station, it's about a 5-minute walk down the street. Quite convenient. Thank you for the delicious meal!

It's been a while since I visited Furaitobo. Yes, this spiciness. It reminds me of the first time I tried tebasaki at Toriyoshi in Harajuku over 30 years ago. While many people prefer Yamachan, this type of flavor is what I grew up with, so this is the best for me. It was delicious. And there are fewer hard-to-eat parts, making it easy to eat. Furaitobo is really good. I'll definitely come back again.

Blog "Tokyu Line, Food Walking" https://asante.blog/ ---- On this day, I had a drinking party in Shinagawa. I was aware of this famous Nagoya-based restaurant, which is located on the same floor as the Shinagawa store, "Okonomiyaki Kiji Shinagawa store". When I looked it up, I remembered visiting "Furabo" in 2010, during a business trip to Nagoya. I thought I had been there more often, but it had been quite a while. This day was a course menu with all-you-can-drink, and the course dishes came out with several large plates from the beginning. I also remembered the time in 2010, but this is a casual izakaya where you shouldn't expect too much elegance. That's fine too. The famous "tebasaki" and "doteyaki" were included in the course, and the slightly sweet sauce tempted me to drink beer. Nagoya cuisine and beer go well together. Finally, the "yakisoba" was served and I was full. It was a casual izakaya where you can enjoy yourself easily. Thank you for the meal.

Shinagawa and Omiya only. There used to be one in Ginza as well. One of the two major chicken wing chains in Nagoya. While Yamachan can now be seen everywhere, Furaibo may have less recognition outside the Tokai region. It seems that many Aichi residents prefer Furaibo. After all, Furaibo was the first to start offering chicken wings. You can enjoy the same taste of chicken wings as in Nagoya. Very delicious. Goes well with alcohol. They also have miso kushikatsu, so if you want to enjoy Nagoya in Tokyo, be sure to visit.

(Prologue... Dinner gathering) - I organized a regular dinner gathering with my friends from college. Although it would have been an online drinking party, there were circumstances that required us to meet in person. So, I asked the organizer (who is from Nagoya) to make a reservation at this restaurant located on the second floor of a building called Front in Konan-guchi, Shinagawa. (Reliable choice) - First of all, I felt relieved by the spacious interior of the restaurant. We were guided to a corner table where we could relax comfortably. The seating was ample and we were pleased to find out that it was completely non-smoking. It was a nice touch. As we sat down, we ordered our drinks. Since we planned to indulge in chicken wings that day, we ordered Sapporo Red Star beer. We also ordered edamame, dotenabe (simmered dish), miso skewers, and chicken wings for five people, among other items. One of my friends wanted to order potato salad, but we were pleasantly surprised to receive macaroni salad as a complimentary dish. Lucky us. Chicken wings definitely go well with beer. Our stomachs were filled with numerous chicken wings. The taste was as recommended by my friend from Nagoya. It was piping hot and delicious. The staff, who seemed to be foreigners, were proficient in Japanese and provided stable service. The chicken wings and dotenabe were delicious as expected, but towards the end, we decided to finish with some rice. We ordered a rice ball set with three rice balls and red miso soup for 450 yen. Although we expected small rice balls, the staff informed us that they were of regular size. So, we ordered one set, along with one tempura rice ball and three red miso soups. It was satisfying. We enjoyed ourselves for two hours and the total cost was 3,500 yen per person. (Summary... A restaurant recommended by a person from Nagoya) - When it comes to chicken wings, the image of Sekai no Yamachan is strong, but according to my friend from Nagoya, this restaurant has a longer history. We could dine in a very relaxed atmosphere. It's no wonder that it comes highly recommended by someone from Nagoya.

Famous Nagoya chicken wing restaurant! The dishes we ordered this time were chicken wing dumplings, salad with eggplant and fried tofu, fried chicken wings, miso pork skewers, and grilled stingray fin. The chicken wings were crispy and fragrant, just the right size, and the four servings for two people were delicious. The seasoning was a bit milder compared to other famous chicken wing restaurants, but I personally found it satisfying. The miso pork skewers had a rich and bold flavor, which complemented the meal well. Overall, it was a satisfying dinner.

On Friday night, I was in the mood for adventure, so I visited the "Furai-bo Shinagawa" which has a dungeon-like atmosphere in Shinagawa. Inside the restaurant, there was a quiet atmosphere due to the influence of the pandemic. I sat at a table and started with a toast with beer. Drinking beer on a Friday night is the best. We ordered a variety of dishes, mainly chicken wings, as snacks. Before we knew it, the beer was disappearing quickly. I would love to visit again next time and enjoy the atmosphere of adventure like in a dungeon!

Fuurai-tei was a new experience for me, as it is quite rare in the Kanto region, with only locations in Shinagawa and Omiya in Saitama. I had never tried chicken wings before, except for when my mother used to make them marinated in garlic soy sauce a long time ago. I was seated at the counter and ordered a bottle of Ebisu beer. The appetizer included taro, green beans, and small shrimp, which was quite elegant. I later found out that there was a 300 yen charge after receiving the bill. The minimum order for chicken wings was a serving of five pieces of fried wings, coated in a unique sweet sauce with a hint of spiciness and sesame seeds. The wings were small in size but delicious, and there were instructions on how to eat them on the table. Overall, the experience was enjoyable, and the building where the restaurant is located seems to have a variety of interesting dining options.

I had Nagoya-style dishes such as fried chicken wings, miso cutlet, and grilled clams at Furaibo in Tokyo with my senior from Nagoya. The fried chicken wings were delicious, but the miso cutlet was just okay. I prefer tonkatsu sauce or demiglace with mustard for cutlets. Thank you for the meal! After that, we took a taxi to Yotsuya-Sanchome for drinks. I took a photo from the taxi on the way there!

While looking for a sushi restaurant, I stumbled upon Furaibo, which made me feel nostalgic as someone from Aichi prefecture. I was already full, so I just ordered a sour and some standard dishes. The pepper in the tebasaki wings had a nice kick to it, with the usual delicious flavor. I bit into the end and scraped off the meat in one go! This way of eating is typical of people from Aichi. The dotenabe seemed a bit lighter, maybe it's been adapted to a Kanto style. I also tried the tebasaki gyoza, which had a Miyazaki-like taste as expected. If I hadn't been so full, I would have liked to try the large clams as well.

I went to Shinagawa Konan for lunch and tried to eat at "Kiji" for some okonomiyaki, but it was full. So, I decided to go to "Furabo" (Fura-Bow) which is a Nagoya-style tebasaki (chicken wings) restaurant located in the same building. It was my first time having lunch there, as I usually visit for drinks in the evening. I arrived at 13:15 on a weekday and found that the restaurant allows smoking. I sat at the counter and checked the menu. They had hitsumabushi, miso katsu set, and other Nagoya-style dishes, but I decided to try the chicken karaage. The dish arrived in 5 minutes with five large pieces of karaage and tartar sauce on the side. It was double-fried, crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The seasoning was a bit light, so the tartar sauce was meant to be used. The tartar sauce was store-bought and a bit too sweet for my taste. The rice was a bit sticky and came in a large portion. The miso soup was red miso with seaweed, fried tofu, and small tofu. The salad had cabbage, lettuce, paprika, corn, and sesame dressing. You could have seconds of the salad, but I didn't need it. The side dishes included simmered hijiki seaweed, rolled omelet, and pickled vegetables, nothing special. Overall, the meal was decent with a good variety of side dishes, but the karaage itself didn't leave a strong impression for me. I might not come for lunch again unless they have a non-smoking area.

About a year ago, I posted a review after revisiting this place for the first time in a while... I always crave their tebasaki (chicken wings) and miso katsu skewers. This time, the sauce was a bit lacking in flavor for the initial order, but the additional order was decent. I forgot to take a picture, but when you order onigiri, you get three pieces with clam miso soup, salmon, and plum, and they are all hand-rolled and delicious, so I recommend it if you have room in your stomach. Also, it would be even better if they had a non-smoking section. Anyway, thank you for the meal today (^-^)

I went to Furai-Bo around 12:30 for lunch. There was no wait and I was seated right away. I ordered the miso katsu set meal. The taste was okay, not bad. I also ordered the chicken wings as a side dish and they were delicious. They were so good that I ended up ordering two more to take home. It was really tasty.

I went there around lunchtime today. The time was a little after 11:30. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of the Shinagawa Front Building near Shinagawa Station's Konan Exit. At this time, most restaurants were still empty. I felt like having some fried chicken, so I decided to try this place. I'm not sure if they serve Nagoya-style fried chicken, but I felt like going on a lunch expedition. During lunch hours, it's non-smoking, which is nice. Since I was alone, I was seated at the counter and ordered the "Young Chicken Karaage Set" for 900 yen, tax included. The menu mentioned that you could get extra servings of salad, rice, and miso soup, so I asked for a large portion of rice. They also offered a complimentary drink, so I chose oolong tea. It only took about 5 minutes for the food to arrive, which made me wonder if the karaage was pre-cooked. The rice portion was decent. The karaage was indeed generous in size, as rumored. It was warm when I started eating, but it felt a bit too crispy and tough, losing some juiciness. The taste was okay, but not outstanding. The rice was good though, which helped balance it out. The miso soup was made with clams. The salad was average. I ended up getting refills of salad and miso soup, and by the end of the meal, I was satisfied. The extra servings of rice, miso soup, and salad were a nice touch. The karaage was a bit disappointing, but there might be better options on the menu. I'd like to try something else next time.
