The Crème Brûlée was around 600 yen, I think. It had a slightly bitter taste which I found delicious, at least for the first two or three bites. It was quite sweet and heavy, though. I recommend having it with black coffee or unsweetened tea. The seating area in front of the shop has sofa-like chairs, so it's a good spot if you want to relax.

Whipped cream only. 400 yen. A few years ago, a friend mentioned that the crepes at Momitoy's were delicious, so I decided to try it. Hmm. I thought the batter would be delicious, but it slightly fell below my expectations. I wonder if it's the same at all their stores?

I took a compensatory day off on a certain weekday, so the weather was nice, and I decided to go shopping at Ariake Garden. I couldn't stay long, so I quickly looked at what I wanted to see and finished shopping. But before going back, I thought I should at least have a coffee, so I wandered around the food court. There was a striking light-up menu sign - Chocolate Mint Crepe! I couldn't resist trying it, so I decided to skip the coffee for now. I bought a ticket from the vending machine and placed it on the counter. Today, due to the ongoing pandemic and it being a weekday, the food court was almost empty. The staff at the counter, however, seemed unfriendly... I wanted to say, "A smile goes a long way," but I didn't really care about their attitude. It turned out she was a senior employee teaching a new staff member how to make this item. Her teaching skills were not great, so the process was slow... My expectations were gradually decreasing even before tasting it. Finally, it was ready, and I received it. It was just chocolate mint cream topped with some crushed cookies, so it was really all about the chocolate mint cream. Personally, I would have preferred it with ice cream or some fruit to make it more satisfying. If the chocolate mint cream was exceptionally delicious, it might have made up for the lack of other ingredients. But considering the customer service when I bought it... my taste buds may have been a bit off. Overall, it was just okay... that's how the meal went.

I found a stylish crepe shop in the fashionable food court inside the Ariake Garden. I decided to buy a delicious-looking crepe called "Melting Crepe" to treat myself after shopping. The "Melting Crepe" has a fluffy and crispy texture made with luxurious almond flour. I purchased the crepe with strawberry and cheesecake. The crispy and chewy texture of the crepe paired well with the cheesecake, and it was delicious!

I tried ordering a sandwich called "Ham and Cheese Salad" - it's like a crepe, but not sweet, which is strange! It's like a chewy sandwich, but really tasty. It's satisfying and great for a quick snack when you're feeling a bit hungry. The service was fast too.

I had matcha tiramisu crepe. It had a subtle and elegant taste, not too sweet. I shared it with my family of three, and we all enjoyed it. The crepe was from a food court, so you can take it to any seat you like to eat. On a sunny day, I recommend eating it on the terrace.

Here is a review of a shop in Ariake. While the kids enjoyed a luxurious parfait at "Hobson's Ice Cream Parlor Ariake Garden Store," I opted for a crepe at a nearby shop, which was about one-third of the price. I ordered a chocolate banana crepe. It was worth the price and delicious. Thank you for the meal.

After eating tantanmen at "Torisobamen Kageyama" in the same food court, I bought some wine snacks from "MOMI&TOY'S," a popular spot in Tokyo. I decided to try the limited edition "Plate Menu," which had six options to choose from. I ordered the "Chorizo Margherita Style" for 700 yen, which was served hot and fresh. The dish looked like a galette and tasted as expected. Although it was a bit pricey, the portion size was larger than a regular crepe, making it worth the cost. I might order it again in the future, as the overall value seemed reasonable compared to other options in the food court.

Blog ⇒ 【Riding on the Flowing Clouds♪】What is happening now? What should we do now? Is it the impact of "global warming"... The weather conditions are deteriorating. At this age, I can't keep up physically and mentally. But we can't just end it with "the past was better". It's time to think about various things and look forward to the future. However, in the midst of the threat of the new coronavirus, opportunities for stress relief such as travel and dining out are not easily available. In such a situation, records in the history of meteorological observations, records of new coronavirus cases are being updated... I am not a prophet or a psychic, but I could foresee this. How about the government officials with high academic backgrounds, and the so-called experts? The delayed declaration of a state of emergency, the de facto lifting of the state of emergency. The huge mistake of investing a large amount of tax money in distributing masks before the special fixed-amount benefit payment. These should be taken seriously and reworked from scratch. As the number of new coronavirus cases increases daily, anxiety also increases. To be honest, the anxiety piles up high, and the future is completely unclear. I think I won't be able to bear it mentally if this situation continues. Even so, the people who have plunged the world into the depths of suffering are now... shamelessly ignoring the rules and doing as they please! Every time I see such news, I grit my teeth and try to look forward somehow. However, I am not the only one suffering. Inn and restaurant owners must be suffering even more. You have to eat if you're hungry. If you're going to spend money anyway, why not help those people a little... While thinking that, I find and purchase local specialty products from various places. Also, if I'm going out, I try to eat out for lunch at least! In this way, little by little every day, while being conscious of returning to my original life... In the midst of this, I visited "Ariake Garden," which opened in the midst of the coronavirus crisis. It is a huge complex commercial facility with over 200 tenants. As a hot spring lover, I wanted to visit "Sontenku no Yu" by all means, but... due to the impact of the new coronavirus, the council necessary to start the hot spring supply has been postponed (;_;) Therefore, they are currently operating by boiling tap water. I really hate the new coronavirus and its country of origin. Someday, when the hot spring supply starts, I plan to visit. It's an incredibly huge complex commercial facility in Tokyo. It's amazing to build such a large facility in a reclaimed land. Just window shopping is quite tiring. So, I decided to take breaks and shop. And I came to "MOMI & TOY'S." It's a crepe shop in the food court on the 5th floor. However, instead of crepes, I got shaved ice... (^^;) The reason is that this shaved ice is different... It's called "Snow Ice." It looks thin and light... (Are you underestimating me?!) Well, it's like tissue paper (laughs). It's like shaved ice with a moist texture, not crunchy. This is not normal ice, right? It's like tissue paper (Are you kidding me?!). This "Strawberry Milk" for 650 yen is cheap. So, if you're interested, give it a try. Service: Excellent Cuisine: Excellent Value for Money: Excellent.

There is a crepe shop in the food court of a shopping center in Akira. It seems to be a franchise that is expanding nationwide and even overseas, but for elderly people like me who have no connection, it was my first visit. I'm not interested in crepes, so I used it as a cafe, but I decided to try tapioca. There were about 25 choices, and I got confused, but the main categories seemed to be milk, milk tea, tea, soda, and cream. I chose mango tea from the tea category and was told it would be S380 yen at the register. However, at the register, I was asked if M460 yen was okay, and being a timid person, I couldn't refuse. I waited at the pick-up counter and received my order. The receipt showed that it included a 10% consumption tax, which I couldn't understand, but I left the shopping center, took off my mask, and enjoyed the tapioca mango tea outdoors. The tapioca was chewy and enjoyable, not too sweet.

After Avril Lavigne's live performance, I felt like having something sweet, so I went to the food court on the 5th floor of the commercial building. I had the Uji matcha crepe (600 yen). It's been a while since I last had a crepe, and it was delicious! (∩´∀`∩)
