東京旨いもの食べ歩き
I visited "Smoke Barbecue Sakura" located between Kanda Station and Shin-Nihonbashi Station on this day. It's a bit hidden in an alley, but it's a nice-looking restaurant with an old folk house style atmosphere. I had made a reservation in advance because there was a sign saying reservation only when I passed by the front of the store before. When I entered, I was guided to the second floor. Be careful as there is no handrail on the stairs. The stairs have a wooden scent and feel calming. When I arrived at the table, there was a menu for all-you-can-drink. I had only booked the course, but decided to go for the all-you-can-drink option. I had a draft beer, and my wife had a lemon sour for a toast.
- Cheese and Smoked Potato Salad
The smoked cheese was slightly warm and delicious. The potato salad was also smoky, with smoked pickled radish chopped in it, giving it a good texture. I switched to highball from here, as it goes well with smoky flavors. The highball on the all-you-can-drink menu was "Kaku" brand.
- Smoked Salad
Fresh vegetables topped with meat similar to char siu. It goes well with sesame dressing.
- Seafood Smoke Platter
Assortment of smoked salmon, flounder, octopus, and scallops. The scallops, in particular, were full of umami and paired well with the smoky aroma of the highball.
- Smoked Meat Platter with Pickled Radish Mochi
An assortment of pickled radish mochi, bacon, chicken ham, and pickled radish. The mochi should be eaten while warm as it will become tough. The texture is good, and the bacon, chicken ham, and pickled radish go well with the highball.
- Smoked Pasta of the Day
It was Neapolitan pasta on that day. The pasta was perfectly al dente and had a generous amount of smoked bacon, making it delicious.
- Dessert
Smoked ice cream. The smoked vanilla ice cream aroma, combined with the smoky nuances of nuts and chocolate, was a good match.
Including the all-you-can-drink, it was only 5,500 yen per person, which is quite affordable. Thank you for the meal.
