However, I couldn't see inside the restaurant from outside, so I hesitated a bit before going in. The American-style interior had no other customers, and the owner greeted me with a straight look. The small restaurant had two tables and a couple of counter seats. Sometimes, small restaurants with few customers can lack in quality and atmosphere, but this place was spotlessly clean, showing the owner's meticulousness. From my experience, these kinds of places never disappoint. I wanted to try both steak and hamburger, so I ordered the Grand Canyon Steak and lunch set. The sizzling plate arrived with a delicious smell. The steak was tender and had no unpleasant smell, while the handmade hamburger was soft and perfectly cooked. I savored the hot meat while enjoying every bite. I went for lunch this time, but they also have taco and other dishes on the evening menu, so it would be nice to enjoy an American (or Mexican?) atmosphere with a beer at night. The taste, the ambiance, and the owner all made me want to come back to this restaurant.

This restaurant has several outlets in Tokyo, so for those who are familiar with it, "Billy The Kid with steak sauce" will be enough to explain. For those who are not familiar, it's a Western-style steakhouse with a menu where you can choose between 200g or 400g steaks, hamburgers that are like heavily processed patties, Mexican-style soups and salads, etc. The system is similar to other restaurants, and there seems to be some connection between them. "Texas" is another Western-style steakhouse chain in Tokyo, with a similar atmosphere. The difference lies in the choice of meat cuts and the fact that the steaks come with sauce. In Billy The Kid, the steak is usually sirloin with only a basic seasoning, while in other Western-style steakhouses, the steaks tend to have minimal seasoning. Texas offers ribeye, sirloin, and fillet to choose from, with the ribeye steak being the specialty. You can choose between 150g, 200g, or 300g portions. I ordered the Texas steak this time, and my impression is similar to Billy The Kid with pre-applied sauce. The sauce is sweet and salty, with a rich flavor that may not appeal to everyone. I ordered the Texas Steak (Rib Roast) 200g with rice, salad, and a drink set, as well as the Cheese Grand Canyon Steak (Harami with cheese hamburger) with the same set. First, a salad arrived with a soy-based dressing that was deliciously fragrant. The iced coffee came in an iron cup and was sweetened like it already had syrup in it. Finally, the steaks arrived. The Texas Steak was tender and surprisingly light despite its large appearance, with minimal fat and a main focus on lean meat. The butter and soy sauce-based sauce was flavorful and coated the meat well. The Harami in the Cheese Grand Canyon Steak was also tender with a delicious buttery soy sauce flavor. The cheese hamburger had a slightly sweet taste and was topped with cheese. It was soft and seemed like a flavor that children would enjoy. It was a hearty portion, maybe a bit too much for lunch, but perfect for when you want a filling meal. The meat itself had a low fat content, allowing the natural flavor of the meat to shine through. It was slightly tough, but within an acceptable range for me. The steak sauce seemed to be minimal, more like just salt and pepper. However, the sweetness of the onion sauté and the saltiness from the bacon balanced out the flavors nicely. You can add rice, soup, and salad for an additional cost. The soup was a light consommé soup (possibly changes daily), and the cabbage salad was served in a chilled bowl (a nice touch). You can choose from large, medium, or small rice portions, and I opted for small due to the generous meat portion. Inside, it's like a maze with stairs going up and down. Cheers with beer! For snacks, we had chorizo and beef tataki. The chorizo is spicy and makes a great pairing with drinks. The beef tataki is lightly seared and topped with garlic paste and green onions. It's flavorful and goes well with soy sauce. Side dishes are also plentiful. We ordered beef stamina stir-fry with garlic sprouts, which is rich in flavor and perfect as a drinking snack. Delicious! Now onto the main course: a 300g sirloin steak with butter on top. It's flavorful and satisfying. Next, the special 300g fillet. While it's considered higher quality than the sirloin, the difference in taste is not significant. Both steaks are cooked medium, but the hot grill makes them closer to medium rare. Medium is recommended. When you need a boost, nothing beats meat! Meat and drinks make a great combination!

Visited WOOD HOUSE TEXAS at Akabane for lunch! It is located near the north exit of Akabane Station, just straight ahead towards LALA Garden and about 100 meters on the right. I ordered the 180g cheese hamburger lunch set for 804 yen, plus an additional 250 yen for the set. First, the set came with soup and salad, which tasted average. Then, the hot cheese hamburger and rice were served, ready to eat. The cheese hamburger was delicious, just like a hamburger from a steakhouse. The rice was also tasty, seemed freshly cooked. Whenever I go to America, I always make sure to visit a steak house. There are several steak houses in the neighborhood that I haven't tried yet. Cheese is a must for hamburgers, right? I will definitely go back to Texas-san's soft cheese hamburger with plenty of hot sauce that is full of juice.
