Various genres of restaurants line up in Akasaka. Among them, one genre stands out with its impact... yes, "Korean cuisine". In Akasaka, one of the leading battlefields for Korean cuisine in Tokyo, eating Korean cuisine is almost a necessity! On this day, I visited a restaurant I had been curious about for a while, "Kangansulre". Usually, it's always full and hard to get in without a reservation, but on this day, there happened to be an available table and we were able to enter! The interior is truly a Korean restaurant! It's quite spacious with a deep depth. First, looking at the drink menu, when it comes to Korean cuisine, of course, Makgeolli is a must... but beer is also hard to resist... but today... Château Petit Corconnac Cabernet Sauvignon (3,000 yen) - Yes, the true identity of this long-named drink is red wine! Sometimes, having red wine with Korean cuisine is also good! This one is a bottle for 3,000 yen, so it's not that expensive. A fair price setting. Now, let's order some meat to go with the wine! Looking at the menu, all the dishes look delicious. And, being authentic Korean cuisine, there are also many dishes that I've never heard of before. It's a tough choice. - Namul assortment (800 yen) - This is essential, right? Namul. It's nice to have four kinds. Delicious. A lot of finger foods arrived, but now it's time for the main dishes to make an entrance! - Chadol Yaki (1,500 yen per serving) - This dish caught my attention on the menu. A mountain of rolled meat. The visual impact is strong! Chadol Yaki... I've never heard of it before. So, I had the staff grill it for us. It seems like you grill the meat while it's still rolled up! And, topping the grilled meat with green onions! Lots of green onions! These green onions are also delicious! And seasoning with sesame oil, miso, and sauce(?). As for the taste... it's incredibly delicious...! It's like yakiniku, but it has a unique deliciousness that's not yakiniku, and it's just delicious. I ordered two servings, and it's quite a lot! - Beef Ami Bulcogi (1,600 yen per serving) - Next is another meat dish. Another impactful dish. I wonder what it is... it's like a hamburger. Dip this in a sauce with plenty of onions. Yes, this is also incredibly delicious! The sauce goes well with it, and the meaty feeling is irresistible. I also ordered two servings of this. It's also quite filling and has a great satisfaction. - Nira Seafood Jeon (1,500 yen) - Of course, I know Jeon! This Jeon is filled with plenty of chives and seafood, and the flavor is well-balanced. It's easy to eat and also perfect as a main dish. The aroma is also very nice. All the dishes here are really delicious. There are many Korean restaurants in Akasaka, but this one is highly recommended. It's popular and usually quite crowded, so I think it's better to make a reservation! There are many Korean restaurants nearby, so doing a Korean cuisine crawl sounds fun.

A Korean restaurant that focuses on drinking, with a menu full of great snacks that go well with beer and makgeolli. The makgeolli served here is cost-effective and delicious. The seafood pancake has a rich flavor, and the bossam dish comes with plenty of healthy vegetables and pickles. What's even better is the quick response to drink orders. The staff, many of whom are foreigners, are well-trained and efficient, making the experience enjoyable.

I had lunch at a Korean restaurant in Akasaka, where many Korean restaurants are lined up on Saturdays. It was lunchtime but there was no waiting so we were able to get in. Since it was Saturday, there was no lunch menu, only a la carte menu. It was hot so I ordered the Bibim Naengmyeon and chicken. I couldn't finish the chicken so I took it home. There is an additional fee of +300 yen for takeout. It was delicious!

This is a shop visited by BTS. It is easily accessible from both Akasaka Station and Akasaka-Mitsuke Station. The taste is good except for the fact that they try to take away the plates quickly! Especially, I thought the Mesenai's chijimi was delicious! If you are looking for Korean food outside of Shin-Okubo, this place could be a good option.

I visited for lunch and ordered the $10 Sundubu jjigae. The side dishes with free refills were delicious and very satisfying. They also had fried chicken, so you can eat until you're full. The jjigae was also delicious. It gets really crowded during lunchtime, so it's best to go early. The staff pressured us to leave quickly as well.

I received information on Instagram that this place has great cost performance and delicious food, so I decided to visit right away. When I arrived, I was surprised by the storefront - it felt like I wasn't in Japan, with so much information and a different atmosphere. Feeling a bit uneasy, I entered. The menu was another surprise - a lunch menu with all dishes priced at 1000 yen and you can eat 7 side dishes! I couldn't believe it, kept saying "Is this for real?" I finally decided on the Bossam set meal. My colleague ordered the Half Samgyetang set meal. We were served 5 side dishes right away, including large portions of white kimchi and kakuteki in jars. The spiciness and sourness were authentic! It was fun to cut with scissors. The set meals were delicious and satisfying with generous portions. The meat was tasty, and I ended up eating too much! 80% of the customers were women, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. I will definitely visit again!

The variety of lunch options and the wide selection of dishes provided are typical of Korean cuisine. From kimchi to kakuteki, all-you-can-eat options are available, leaving you full before the main course is served. The restaurant has plenty of seating and even during peak hours, there is not much of a wait. The food was delicious.

In Akasaka, there is a Korean restaurant where you can enjoy a wide range of menu options. I wonder if it's related to the restaurant with the same name in Seoul. We started with beef rib bones and beer. Had some Makgeolli along the way, then switched to Chamisul around the time of the raw pork belly and lettuce set. Finished off with Korean fried chicken. It was a fun meal watching the WBC Korea game on Amazon Prime.

After sweating for about 2 hours playing screen golf on the 4th floor of the same building, I had a full stomach of kimchi, chijimi, chicken, oysters, abalone porridge, and cold noodles. They all tasted delicious and I couldn't stop eating. It didn't feel like they were tailored for Japanese people in a good way. Thank you for the meal.

After finishing work late at night, I decided to have a meal at Gangaru. I have been there for lunch a few times before, but this was my first time going at night. The prices are a bit higher than average for Akasaka, but the fact that they are open 24 hours provides a sense of security. The food was okay, and they provide small Korean side dishes.

I visited the restaurant alone around 1 PM on a weekday. I was happy to be seated at a large table even though I was by myself. I ordered the stone bibimbap, and the side dishes and soup arrived quickly. The flavors were rich and the portion was generous, so it might be enough for those with a small appetite. The kimchi was also very delicious. The stone bibimbap had a nice chewy texture from the crispy rice. I prefer it to be more hot and well-cooked, but I appreciated that it was served at a manageable temperature even during the limited lunch time. I was quite full after finishing the side dishes as well. I paid in cash.

We went to a Korean restaurant with a few employees for lunch, located close to both Akasaka Station and Akasaka-Mitsuke Station. Kangansulno, a popular Korean restaurant in the competitive area of Akasaka, has been open for 10 years and has a spacious interior. My recommendation is the Samgyupsal, which I always end up suggesting to first-time visitors. The pork belly, marinated in a rich sauce, is served on a bed of cabbage, allowing the flavors to seep into both the meat and the vegetable. The thinly sliced pork belly with its intense flavor is truly satisfying.

Samgyeopsal is delicious! But other dishes are so-so. The jeon is like a scrambled egg, and there's not much seafood in it, I thought it was a chive pancake. The yangnyeom chicken is too sweet and not tasty. The tteokbokki is spicy and just okay. The Korean seaweed is salty, but might be good for people drinking alcohol.

Located about a 3-minute walk from Akasaka Mitsuke, there is a Korean restaurant in Akasaka. Since there are many Korean restaurants in Akasaka, I searched on Tabelog for a highly rated restaurant that is open on Sundays for lunch and ended up going to this place. Unfortunately, they didn't have a lunch menu on Sundays, but I wanted to try a variety of dishes. After some deliberation, I ordered the Samgyupsal for 1200 yen (excluding tax). It came with two thick slices of pork and a generous amount of side dishes (lettuce, perilla leaves, kimchi, pickled cucumbers, green onion salad). It felt like a great deal. The crispy pork and side dishes were all incredibly delicious! Next time, I think I'll try a different menu item.

I arrived at the restaurant at the usual opening time of 11:30 with a friend. The two of us ordered bulgogi and bibimbap. When two people go, the amount of side dishes is amazing! And the main dishes are also very generous in portion! Perfect for those who want to eat a lot! Above all, it was delicious so we were very satisfied. There were some people dining alone, but most were in groups. Also, the kimchi is served in a self-cut style, giving you a feeling of being in Korea. It is placed on the table for all-you-can-eat. It has a moderate spiciness and tastes delicious. The restaurant, which was empty when we arrived, was full an hour later. I want to come back again!

In recent years, Akasaka has become the second largest Korean town in Tokyo, overshadowing Okubo. When you visit for lunch, you can't help but be captivated by the authentic atmosphere with Korean language all around. Various lunch menus are offered for under 1000 yen, and the best part is that you can get unlimited refills of side dishes and rice for free. The side dishes include kimchi, pickled vegetables, fried chicken, glass noodles, and tofu. Today's special was Solontang, a soup made by simmering beef bones thoroughly. The milky white soup is gentle on the stomach the next day. Slurping the soup with glass noodles is a delight. Eating the simmered beef with free kimchi is also delicious. The abundance of free menu items just like in Korea is truly impressive. It was delicious.

There were sesame leaves in the kamjatang! I was happy because I had hoped for it. On this day, we ordered kamjatang, shellfish salad, octopus stir-fry, 2 beers, 2 draft makgeolli, a pot of corn tea, 4 corn tea highballs, and ginger ale. It cost around 17,000 yen for three women. The shellfish salad and octopus stir-fry are a must-try! They are the best appetizers! We arrived around 18:30 without a reservation, two of us, and another person joined around 19:30. We stayed until closing. Alcohol is served, with last call at 21:30. The staff is efficient and the service is great. It's a really convenient place to visit!

It's been a while since I had Kangansuru. Whenever I feel like eating Korean food, I always come here. I ordered the usual Yukgaejang. I used to like Bbongkalbi, a Korean-style hamburger, but it's no longer on the menu, so I usually go for Yukgaejang or Bulgogi. Soon after ordering, a large amount of side dishes arrived. Salad, ham, fried chicken, chapchae, Korean-style hijiki, cucumber namul, and more. The kimchi and pickled vegetables in the pot on the side are self-served, where you cut them yourself. Except for the fried chicken, these are all you can eat. I'm really happy that I can eat lots of vegetables and meat. There aren't many opportunities to eat plenty of vegetables when dining out... Today, I ate a lot and am very satisfied. Thank you for the meal!

This Korean restaurant is super popular! Originally known as Yakiniku Shibaura. The interior remains the same. The food is delicious, but the drinks take a long time, so it's recommended to order bottled drinks! The service is amazing! What we ate: - Bossam - Bulgogi - Seafood Jeon - Yukhoe

-Visited around 7:00 PM on a weekday with 2 female friends without a reservation. -Ordered Kamjatang, Tsubugai Namul, Beer, Chamisul, Black Beans, Makgeolli, and Anzu Makgeolli for a total of 10,010 yen. - Kamjatang: I prefer this place over the famous Matsuya in Higashi Shinjuku for Kamjatang. The meat here is packed with meat, not just bones, and the pork bone soup is very rich. It gives me energy when I eat it! I would be even happier if sesame leaves were added. - Tsubugai Namul: The portion is huge! The taste is similar to the seasoning of Bibim noodles - sweet, sour, and spicy. I love this flavor! It has tsubugai, cucumber, onion, dried cod (which adds great flavor), carrot, cabbage, green onion, and maybe more? I would definitely order it again when there are 3-4 people. It's really the best appetizer. (When there are only 2 people, even with 2 dishes, the portion is quite large and hard to finish... It's better to have more than less, but especially with Kamjatang, I always want to have Pocunpa as a finisher, but I always end up giving up because I'm too full... (I don't know if they offer Pocunpa, haha)) - This is always a delicious and welcoming restaurant. I will visit again soon.

This is a story about a lunch in Akasaka. There are many Korean restaurants in Akasaka. This time, I went to Kangansulre, located along the street between Hitotsugi Street and Misuji Street. It has been a while since I last visited. The restaurant opened in May 2011. It mainly has table seating, and it is quite spacious with 77 seats. The place seemed to be busy as it was quite crowded. The lunch menu includes dishes like kalbi, roast, samgyeopsal, bibimbap, rice cake kalbi, bossam, yukhoe, jjigae, kuppabap, and various other dishes ranging from ¥980 to ¥1,500. The male and female staff members were serving customers, but they seemed busy and took a while to attend to us. Finally, I ordered the Sundubu Jjigae set meal for ¥980 (tax included). A minute later, a salad was served, consisting of shredded cabbage, cut lettuce, and corn with a soy sauce-based dressing. Five minutes later, four types of banchan were served for two people to share: fried chicken with sweet miso sauce, radish kimchi, japchae, and simmered potatoes. There was also napa cabbage kimchi and radish kimchi on the table, which we cut with scissors. We enjoyed the banchan and kimchi while waiting for the jjigae. After a 16-minute wait, the Sundubu Jjigae set meal was served, piping hot with a raw egg cracked on top. It was filled with tofu, vegetables, and a bit of meat, with a flavorful and slightly spicy soup. The rice, served in a stainless steel bowl, was unfortunately cold. Overall, the set meal was popular due to the variety of banchan and salad included.
