I had work in Shinagawa, so on my way back I decided to check out a hot pot restaurant I was curious about! It's located in the building in front of Microsoft! On this day, I ordered the 3,980yen course which included appetizers, xiaolongbao, vegetables, mushrooms, meat (lamb, chicken), and a choice of noodles or rice. For dessert, we had almond tofu. You can choose two types of soup and also the level of spiciness. I chose Sichuan spicy and white soup, with medium spiciness. The meat and vegetables were not all-you-can-eat, you had to order additional portions. I'm not a fan of lamb, but the thinly sliced meat here didn't have a strong smell and I could eat it. The soup was flavorful with lots of herbs and spices. I'm not great with spicy food, but I like it, so I enjoyed it while sweating a bit. For those who are good with spicy food, the medium level might be a bit mild, so ordering a spicier level might be better. The restaurant was smoke-free and clean, with a nice view of the Shinagawa buildings from the window. The clientele was diverse, including couples on dates, groups of colleagues, and male friends. I made a reservation for a weekday evening, but you might be able to walk in without a reservation on a non-Friday. Overall, the value for money wasn't great when adding extra food and drinks to the course, so I'm not sure about revisiting, but I recommend it for hot pot lovers.
