During the intermission of watching a new Kabuki performance at the Shimbashi Enbujou, I visited a cafe right in front of the theater. I ordered a delicious and easy-to-eat sandwich, along with self-serve coffee, which was perfect for the 30-minute break between acts. This cafe is run by the father of Amon Miyamoto, and the pudding in the showcase looked tempting as well. If I have the chance to visit the Shimbashi Enbujou again, I would definitely want to try it.

It is located right in front of the Shimbashi Enbujou, so you can easily stop by to kill time before or during a performance. Many customers come in before the show or during intermission. The pudding is delicious, so I always order it. It is a triangular shape like a cake with plenty of watery caramel on top. The finished puddings are displayed at the entrance, so they come out quickly when you order. This time, I ordered ☑ Pudding ☑ Iced Tea. I chose iced tea because you can choose either coffee or tea. I chose lemon tea because I could choose lemon tea. I had curry before, and it came on a flat plate. The lunch pasta seems to be quite filling.

I visited during my free time. The spacious interior was cozy, and the pudding was delicious! You can have free refills on coffee, and the atmosphere created by the female staff was great. It was a shame that they told me they were closing at 5:30 pm as I was planning to stay a bit longer, but I would like to visit again knowing that.

Just before lunchtime at around 11 o'clock, I spontaneously walked into this shop. It's located right in front of the Shimbashi Enbujo theater. Since it was before the lunch rush on a weekday, I was the only customer there, making it feel like a private reservation. I ordered...
- Iced coffee set for 880 yen
- Custard pudding
The custard pudding was firm and paired nicely with the iced coffee. It was not too sweet, allowing the cream to stand out. The atmosphere inside the shop was pleasant, and it felt like I had stumbled upon a lovely café. If this café was in my neighborhood, I would definitely become a regular customer. It was a delightful way to pass the time. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

I saw a pudding at the storefront and couldn't resist going in to eat it. It was the old-fashioned kind, firm and delicious. Topped with caramel sauce, it was the best. And it even came with cream - so happy. There were already a lot of lunch customers coming in before 11 am. You could have refills of not just coffee and tea, but also iced coffee. So delightful. The atmosphere was comfortable.

Finally, I was able to visit "Erika" for the third time! It is located right in front of the Shimbashi Enbujou, next to the steak restaurant "Hirayama." It seems they are closed on days when Shimbashi Enbujou is not performing, so be careful as they may be closed often. This place is also famous for being the family home of Mr. Miyamoto Amon. The shop has a traditional old-fashioned coffee shop style interior, but it is spacious. Of course, the main attraction is the pudding! It comes as a set with tea for 880 yen! The pudding was served quickly and is the type that is cut and served. It's quite firm, but the texture is smooth. Not too sweet, with a nostalgic old-fashioned taste and a gentle caramel flavor. It's comforting. The coffee is apparently free refills, but this time I opted for lemon tea. It comes in a pot, so you get a generous amount. It's a cozy place where you can relax. The sandwiches also looked delicious. It seems like a good place to visit before or after watching Kabuki performances!

I have visited this restaurant for lunch several times. While there were mostly male office workers, it was easy for a woman to dine alone as well. The staff, all the young ladies, seemed close and friendly. They kindly explained the drink bar and recommended the pasta of the week. It was a very comfortable atmosphere. Everything I tried was delicious, but the Japanese-style hamburger steak was my favorite! It was light and easy to eat, a satisfying dish. I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal! ^^

It seems to be the family home of Amon Miyamoto. It's a retro-style café with a cozy atmosphere. They offer a variety of drinks like blend coffee, American coffee, iced coffee, iced lemon tea, iced milk tea, and straight tea, with free refills for drinks above 650 yen. The must-try is their homemade custard pudding for 520 yen. You can also get a dessert set for 880 yen. I had the iced lemon tea and pudding set, which was delicious. The pudding is shaped like a large circle cut like a cake, with a dollop of whipped cream on top. The sweetness, firmness, and caramel bitterness are all well-balanced, explaining why it has its fans. It gets very crowded when there are performances at the Shinbashi Enbujyo theater right in front of it.

In front of Shimbashi Enbujou, there is a charming café that turns out to be the childhood home of Miya Moto Amon. During lunch breaks with performances, the café gets crowded. I've always been curious about their famous pudding, and finally tried it. The pudding is firm but not too sweet, and absolutely delicious! The lunch sets start from 1050 yen, and adding the pudding still keeps it under 1500 yen. Iced coffee (650 yen) A retro cafe located in front of Shimbashi Enbujo. The owner is very friendly and offers free refills on coffee, which is quite generous. Surprisingly, it turns out that this cafe is owned by Miyamoto Amon's family, which explains the posters inside. The curry rice, pilaf, and the pudding in the showcase are popular choices. They also offer dessert sets, so I'll definitely come back next time to try the pudding.

I stopped by before going to see a play at the Shimbashi Enbujou. I didn't have much time, so I chose a set that included dessert and coffee/tea. The dessert options were custard pudding and rare cheesecake. The custard pudding was firm, in a traditional Showa style. The rare cheesecake came with blueberry sauce and both were delicious with a subtle sweetness. I had 3 refills of iced coffee and my companion had 2 refills of coffee, which was a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it a great place to relax. I heard that the cafe was founded by the father of the director, Amon Miyamoto, in 1956. It exudes a gentle and welcoming vibe that reflects the owner's personality. I look forward to visiting again.

Seafood pilaf lunch. Right in front of Shimbashi Enbujou. Next to it is the super high-class restaurant favored by politicians, Kanetanaka. The restaurant has a nostalgic coffee shop feel. There are posters from the family of Amon Miyamoto (^-^). The seafood pilaf is very delicious, and they even refill your coffee. Lunchtime is popular with local office workers. If there's a play at Shimbashi Enbujou, I'll definitely come back.

There is a rumor that the café in front of Shimbashi Enbujou is run by the family of Amon Miyamoto, with posters of him inside. The coffee with free refills is quite a good deal. Instagram: kuidaore.8.

I haven't been to a kabuki theater for a long time since I got tired of the long farewell performances when Kabukiza Theater was being rebuilt. It's been a while since I last visited a kabuki theater, so this was a nice change. I also haven't been to Shinbashi Enbujyo Theater in a long time. I found this cafe on Tabelog and decided to visit. It was my first time visiting a traditional coffee shop like this one. The information on Tabelog mentioned that it was smoking and non-smoking, with only e-cigarettes allowed, but it will be completely non-smoking from April onwards. The atmosphere inside was very comfortable. However, it was almost full as it was an hour before the show started. I was seated at the counter seat facing the window. I ordered the dessert set for 880 yen, which included homemade pudding, cheesecake, and coffee or tea. Coffee, iced coffee, and iced tea were free refills, while tea came in a pot and refills were not available. I asked for lemon tea. The tea was served by pushing down the cafeteria bar, but I prefer it if they wait for the tea leaves to open before serving. The first cup was light in color and slightly weak. After raising the bar, the second cup had a beautiful color. The pudding was firm, almost like it had agar in it, with a touch of animal cream on the side, giving it a delicate touch. The staff were attentive and polite, even in a bustling location. The restroom was shared with the building and required leaving the cafe. There were two women's restrooms nearby. Given the many chain stores in the area, I think this cafe is a rare find.

Having a coffee break while watching a play in Higashi-Ginza. The location is a 3-minute walk from Higashi-Ginza Station, right in front of Shimbashi Enbujo. I used it for a break between performances. This shop seems to be the family home of Amon Miyamoto, with posters and such inside. The shop is quite lively with people taking a break from watching plays or locals. It was a bit chilly, so I ordered a hot coffee. It costs ¥840, but refills are free (^ ^) It was a refreshing coffee with a slight acidity. It was delicious ❣️ Thank you for the meal (^。^)

I'm currently head over heels for pudding. Whenever I see pudding on a café menu, I can't help but order it. This time, I tried the pudding from a long-standing café. I got it as part of a dessert set. It was firm with a 7:3 ratio (sweet:soft). The sweetness level was a 5 out of 10. I adjusted the taste by adding some whipped cream as I ate. It was a somewhat unique pudding. Maybe this is the characteristic of puddings from old cafes. Since I don't have much experience with puddings yet, I'll leave my evaluation at that based on personal preference. By the way, the hot coffee was surprisingly bitter.

A wonderful café located in front of the Shimbashi Enbujou. I had a large serving of Japanese-style carbonara for lunch. It was not only generous in portion but also absolutely delicious! Despite working in Ginza for a long time, I never knew about this place. The self-service drinks with unlimited refills were also fantastic.

I went to have tea with my friend, and they took me to a place that is the family home of Mr. Miyamoto Amon, so there are posters of Amon-san hanging. The restaurant has many seats and was full of elegant ladies. The blended coffee (600 yen) was easy to drink with little acidity. The Royal Milk Tea (700 yen) is recommended to let the tea leaves steep well before drinking, as it has plenty of milk. The container hangs the tea leaves, so it can be difficult to redo it quickly. The lunch set comes with a drink that seems to be all-you-can-drink, which might be a good deal.

When there is a performance at the Shimbashi Enbujou, a lot of people gather around the entrance. At such times, customers flow into this cafe, which is right in front of the theater. The cafe is well known for being run by the parents of the director Amon Miyamoto. The great thing about this cafe is that it is open all day, so even if you miss lunch, you can still find something to eat. On this day, it was already 3:30 pm before I could finally have a meal, but the only chain store open was one that I didn't really want. Then I remembered that there was a cafe in front of the theater! I hurried there like remembering an oasis in the desert. The theater didn't have a performance that day, so the cafe was empty. I sat at a non-smoking table and ordered a set of mixed sandwich and iced coffee for 1200 yen. I took a break while enjoying a sandwich with egg, tuna, vegetables, and ham, along with a refreshing iced coffee. Finally, I could relax, and when I looked towards the theater, I saw a poster promoting Kagawa Prefecture featuring Amon Miyamoto. It made me smile.

I was looking for some ginger pork (or pork ginger, as some might call it). I wanted something that felt like it could be on a cafe menu. I ended up here because I didn't want thick-cut pork loin. My coworker ordered the spaghetti Napolitan and was really satisfied with it. It was a Napolitan with thick noodles cooked al dente.
