I arrived at a restaurant during my food tour in Tsukiji. The staff were polite and the service was quick! However, the tables were sticky and had a damp smell. The raw oysters were smelly. The scallops in butter soy sauce were quite sweet, personally I found it too sweet. But the spicy cod roe and sake porridge!!! This was incredibly delicious. A must-order dish!

I wandered around Tsukiji Outer Market and felt like having some fresh oysters, so I randomly walked into this place. They confirmed that they don't serve sashimi or sushi, but that was fine with me. The oysters were large and creamy, very delicious. The grilled platter with oysters, scallops, clams, and shrimp was prepared in the kitchen due to the hot weather, but maybe slightly overcooked. The drinks were reasonably priced.

I have enjoyed delicious meals outside Tsukiji Market many times, but for some reason I had never visited Tsukiji Shokudo before. However, after seeing it on TV, I decided to give it a try. I tried the fresh oysters, three kinds of grilled fish, scallops with butter, and fried oysters, all served with rice and miso soup. It was incredibly delicious! I will definitely visit again next time I come to Tsukiji!

At 12 o'clock on a public holiday, the restaurant was empty with available seats. I ordered a set of 6 oysters, 2 scallops, and 2 prawns for 3000 yen. I also added crab miso grilled dish and sake. Customers were enjoying oysters and drinks in the outdoor seating area. This was the perfect place to start day drinking before my sushi lunch reservation at another restaurant.

I was doing a cafe-hopping around Ginza and had been eating a lot of sweet treats, so I felt like having something savory. I decided to stroll around Tsukiji and stumbled upon Kaki Koya Tsukiji Shokudo. It has a diner-like setup that seems fitting for a port area. Each table has a stove where you can grill your food. Since it was past lunchtime on a weekday, it wasn't crowded and I could relax. I ordered the Three Variety Set for ¥3278, which includes 6 oysters, 2 scallops, and 4 white clams. We thought it was convenient to have everything together. I was surprised to see that we grill the whole tin can with the ingredients inside for the "Gan Gan Yaki" dish. It's a steaming method used by fishermen to cook food in a tin can. The freshly grilled shellfish was delicious, whether eaten plain to savor the ocean flavor or with a splash of soy sauce. Initially, I thought the shellfish alone wouldn't be enough, but they turned out to be a perfect sake accompaniment. The perfectly seasoned shellfish filled me up nicely.

I visited a restaurant in Tsukiji where you can enjoy fresh fish in ways other than sushi, such as fried or grilled. It was a fun experience being able to cook the fish myself. I realized that fresh fish tastes delicious even when fried or grilled. Although all the dishes were tasty, the set of fried oysters and scallops was particularly delicious. Personally, I think oysters taste the best when fried. The grilled salmon was also soft and flavorful. Although the cost performance was slightly poor, I was satisfied with the taste.

After visiting the intended shop, I wandered around a bit more as it was my first time at Tsukiji. It was already past lunchtime so many shops were closed. I came across this restaurant. I can't eat oysters, but I wanted to eat shellfish, so I chose this place. Looking at the menu, I saw they had grilled shellfish, which seemed very Tsukiji-like! I ordered it and it was delicious! I ate scallops and clams to my heart's content. My friend was already full, so I pretty much finished it all by myself. People who love shellfish will have a blissful time here. It was more delicious than the typical restaurant by the sea, perhaps because it was in Tsukiji. Although it is a restaurant mainly focused on oysters, it is a place where even people who are not fond of them can enjoy. Thank you for the meal.

At the Kaki Koya Tsukiji Shokudo, I tried the Kaki Donburi. I had been curious about this place for a while. I thought it was more of an izakaya-style restaurant, but they also have lunch menus. The Kaki Donburi had large oysters cooked with scrambled eggs. It was much lighter than a typical oyakodon. The eggs were soft, giving it a taste similar to the rice porridge you have at the end of a hot pot meal.

I visited the restaurant to have a light seafood meal and a drink. I arrived before 2 pm on a weekday and there were no other customers. I had the place to myself the whole time and enjoyed it. Three kinds of set: $32.78 A set where you can enjoy three types of shells - scallops, oysters, and white clams - cooked in the restaurant's specialty "gan-gan yaki" style. The shells come in cans and you cook them over a fire for a while. They even provide gloves so you can touch them right after they're done cooking. The freshly cooked shells are hot and full of flavor. Although they're not very big, the taste of freshly cooked shells is exceptional. It might be fun to enjoy the barbecue-like experience of cooking and eating them yourself. Highball This is a recommended place to go with a few friends and have a fun time. It was enjoyable to be able to drink from lunchtime.

A must-visit restaurant for shellfish lovers. Tsukiji Kaki Koya specializes in shellfish dishes and does not offer sashimi or seafood bowls. We ordered live scallops, scallop rice cooked in a pot, and grilled scallops. The grilled scallops were served in a closed can, placed on a burner at the table, and heated until steam came out. When the can was opened, the dish was ready to eat! It was a unique and hearty experience to remove the shells with gloves and enjoy the meal. The restaurant offers a satisfying dining experience with soy sauce, ponzu, and other condiments that complement the dishes well. I would love to visit again.

I visited to eat "Gangan Yaki" and added some oysters and white hamaguri (surf clam) on top. It was delicious and I could eat a lot of it. The cost performance of "Gangan Yaki" here is good, with oysters priced at around 200 yen each. I used to order raw oysters in the past, but once I realized the cost performance, I couldn't order them anymore (laughs). The restaurant and menu haven't changed at all from the past, but I was told that the management has changed.

I'm glad I met this place... the food was so delicious that it made me feel deeply moved. "Kaki Koya" is located outside Tsukiji Market and specializes in shellfish dishes. There are some outdoor seating options available, where you can enjoy a quick meal (with a limited menu). However, this time we decided to dine inside the restaurant. The interior was spacious, allowing for plenty of social distancing between customers. The staff recommended their specialty dish, the "Kaki no Gangang Yaki," which is a dish made by steaming oysters with sake. They also warned that the kettle rice takes time to prepare, so customers should be mindful when ordering. When we looked at the menu, we were surprised by the variety of shellfish dishes (mostly oysters) available. Some customers were already enjoying beer in mugs during lunchtime, but we opted for drinks, fried oysters, and butter-grilled scallops. The size of the fried oysters made us gasp in surprise. They were much larger than what we had previously eaten at regular diners. We had to use scissors to cut them into pieces. Not only were they visually impressive, but they were also incredibly delicious. The flesh was packed tightly, and each bite released a burst of flavor. Although Worcestershire sauce was provided, it wasn't really necessary. The butter-grilled scallops had a slightly crunchy texture at times, but the aroma of butter and the firm flesh made up for it. This unique combination of flavors cannot be compared to anything else. I can't express it well, but the experience was beyond my expectations. Perhaps it was fate that led us to Tsukiji, where we encountered these amazing shellfish. I am grateful for this encounter.

I visited during a slightly chilly season. The inside of the restaurant seemed full of reservations, so I was seated at the drum can table outside. It had a nice atmosphere. I was planning to order individual items, but the recommended set of three was suggested - oysters, scallops, and clams, all steamed. Of course, I also had a beer. I took a bite of the steaming hot seafood as it was. Wow, it was delicious! Drizzling some soy sauce on top made it even better! It goes really well with beer. It felt like having a barbecue in the city. It was fantastic. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit again.

When it comes to eating seafood in Tokyo, Tsukiji is the place to go. Despite loving seafood, I had never been to Tsukiji before, so this was my first visit to the market. There are many seafood restaurants lined up, and the one I visited this time was "Kaki Koya Tsukiji Shokudo". They serve oysters and scallops directly delivered from Tsukiji Market, where you can casually enjoy them in a barbecue-style setting. I ordered a draft beer first. The menu looked delicious, but what caught my eye was their specialty "Gan Gan Yaki" set with three kinds of seafood. It arrived with a can on a stove right in front of me. Gan Gan Yaki is a cooking method where seafood is steamed in a can, often done by fishermen. I used gloves to peel the hot oysters, which were plump and delicious. I also ordered the Crab Miso Shell Bake, which was tasty. The atmosphere was casual and lively, making it a great place to enjoy seafood. If you're exploring Tsukiji for food, this place is definitely worth a visit. Next time, I might go for a seafood bowl!

Let's go eat oysters with friends, so we took a taxi to Tsukiji. At the oyster shack Tsukiji Shokudo, we started with a toast of draft beer! We had grilled oysters, tuna belly, seared mackerel, oyster curry bread, fresh oysters in a bucket, and raw scallops. I forgot the rest (lol). Due to the impact of the coronavirus, there were no foreigners and few Japanese people that day, which was a bit lonely. But we had a fun time chatting and enjoying sake. Thank you to my friends (^-^)/ It was delicious, thank you for the feast.

I strolled around Tsukiji market and was drawn to the bright sign that said "Happy Hour"! From 5pm to 7pm, alcohol was only 300 yen! Happy Hour has such a lovely ring to it. This place seemed to specialize in oysters, and the staff recommended the grilled oysters. However, I had plans to eat sushi afterwards, so I decided to go easy. I ordered fresh oysters and white fish milt with ponzu sauce! The oysters were big and juicy, and at 500 yen each, it was a good deal. But oysters disappear so quickly! Then I enjoyed the white fish milt with ponzu sauce little by little. The taste, service, and prices were all good, but the only issue was the restroom. You have to go up an outside staircase to the second floor office area in the back. It's dark, scary, and the stairs are steep. It could be dangerous if you're drunk! Other than that, everything was fine, so I would recommend it to those who don't mind a bit of a trek to the restroom.

Every year, on New Year's Eve, it is a tradition to go shopping outside Tsukiji Market. This year, I have to work until New Year's Eve again. However, I will finish work at a certain location in Tokyo at 10:00, take the subway, and arrive at Tsukiji's outdoor market by 10:30. This year, the weather has been unusually mild for winter, but my heart remains cold. Due to this, I will keep my shopping to a minimum. On the way, I pass by a shack selling oysters and see many foreigners enjoying standing and drinking. It seems that scallops are more popular than oysters among foreigners. This "street food" experience is casual and enjoyable, unlike junk food, the "seafood street food" served at Tsukiji is a few steps above the Japanese and sushi restaurants abroad. It is natural for foreigners visiting Japan to enjoy eating. Witnessing this, I also feel the urge. I decide to go to the oyster shack and order raw oysters with a draft beer, the classic style. I receive a paper cup of draft beer and a large raw oyster, and join the foreigners at the makeshift table. We don't exchange words, but their expression when they see my raw oyster is one of wonder. The beer is Sapporo, my favorite. It is delicious. And the raw oyster, a large one in a single bite... "Slurp slurp" (by Shofukutei Tsurumaru). Ah, this must be what they mean by "blissful moment." Enjoying the raw oyster, we are moving towards the end of the first year of Reiwa.

I was walking around Tsukiji and had a beer with me, and surprisingly they allowed me to bring it inside. Normally, bringing your own drinks is not allowed! When I mentioned that I couldn't eat too much, they said they could serve me a half portion. I got a set of 6 oysters, with 3 for each person. They were steamed in a can with the lid on over high heat for 7 minutes. Then we peeled the oysters and ate them. First, we tried them as they were. The flavor of the oysters spread in my mouth and it was pure happiness! Next, we tried them with lemon and ponzu sauce. But eating them plain was the most delicious! They also have scallops and clams, so I would like to try them next time.

The second stop for food hopping at Tsukiji Outer Market was at "Kaki Koya Tsukiji Shokudo." Here, besides enjoying oysters, you can also savor various grilled seafood dishes and have drinks standing by a drum can. This time, I enjoyed the Scallop Butter Yaki for 500 yen with a Highball for 400 yen. Just look at the picture, the deliciousness should be evident, but the thick scallops grilled with soy sauce butter... the aroma of the sea, the savory charred flavor, all stimulating the appetite center, it was an explosion of deliciousness. Even the soup left in the shell was enjoyed gulp by gulp. It was so delicious! Next time, I want to try sitting inside and leisurely savoring oysters and more. I'd like to stay longer next time instead of just standing and drinking.
