[GAPAO Journey] This is a branch of the Champasubnaad store located inside the Isetan Shinjuku store. It is mostly used for dinner as lunchtime is extremely crowded. I felt like having Thai food early in the new year, so I decided to visit! Around 5 pm on Sunday, a few customers started to arrive. Even though it's not the peak time for Thai cuisine, there are still many people who want to eat it! The customer base includes groups such as girls' gatherings, couples, and families. Since there are always Japanese staff members in commercial facilities, you can feel safe dining at this Thai restaurant!
I ordered the Thai hot pot set, which costs 2,000 yen per person and can be ordered for a minimum of 2 people. The set includes Thai hot pot (Tom Yum soup/egg soup), fresh spring rolls, glass noodle salad, shrimp cake, noodles for finishing, and two types of dessert soups. I highly recommend the Tom Yum Kung soup, which is my favorite at Champasub! There are plenty of vegetables and meat in the pot! You can enjoy various flavors by dipping the ingredients in the sauce and eating them. Another favorite in this set is the shrimp cake. I always order this! You can get full with this set! With an additional 1,500 yen, you can have all-you-can-drink, making it a satisfying meal for 3,500 yen!
I wanted to eat the chicken basil stir-fry (Gapao) but was already full, so I ordered it separately. It's made with chicken thigh meat and is delicious! However, the way the oyster sauce is used is slightly different from Gapao! Gapao is still the best! I also ordered 2 drinks for myself, totaling a little over 3,000 yen. Some Thai restaurants can be expensive, but Champasub offers a reasonable dining experience, so I recommend it! I really want you to try the Gapao and Tom Yum Kung here!! If you're interested in Thai cuisine, definitely check it out! Thank you for the meal! I will definitely visit here a lot this year!
