Maybe it was early, that's why. Sushi is not on a conveyor belt, you have to order everything, which is nice. The yellowtail and amberjack were delicious. The best was the marinated squid, it was flavorful and tasty. You can choose from 3 types of miso soup, this time we had shrimp miso soup with 2 shrimp heads in it, giving it a rich flavor. They also made a thin roll (plum and shiso) for us, even though it wasn't on the menu. Thank you!

The name of the restaurant, "Wakaki," is a play on words, as it sounds similar to "wakizushi" (sushi that is passed around on a conveyor belt), which I found amusing.

It was listed as a bargain menu item on the conveyor belt, but I thought it was just a snack until I realized it was actually a piece of nigiri. The minced horse mackerel had a lingering texture. I enjoy both the pounded and the textured versions of this dish. The total cost was less than 600 yen. Very affordable. While there are many conveyor belt sushi restaurants offering high-end or region-specific sushi, I think it's nice to visit these old-school places once in a while.
