Ramen 850 yen, half rice 50 yen, flavored egg 100 yen I've been craving home-style ramen for a while, so when it comes to Shibuya, there are many places I want to go, but I decided to visit "Samurai" for their home-style ramen. It wasn't a shop I had been paying much attention to, but when I gathered information after deciding to go, it seems that SUSURU-kun highly recommends it. This raised my expectations, so I arrived 30 minutes before opening and worked at a nearby bakery's eat-in space until it was time to go to Samurai! 4 people in line 2 minutes before opening! As soon as it opened, the staff guided us into the shop. I ordered the default option. I was debating whether to get the regular size rice or the small size, but the previous customer ordered the small size, so I followed suit. I had a 1,000 yen bill, so I had 100 yen left, and somehow I also ordered the flavored egg, making it exactly 1,000 yen. It's my first time having a flavored egg with home-style ramen. There were paper aprons next to the ticket machine, so I took one and sat down. The water was from a water dispenser, so I had to go back and forth several times that day. I was served in 8 minutes, even though there were 4 batches, and I was served in 8 minutes! Now, let's see what it tastes like. The soup is... Wow! Delicious!! The soy sauce isn't too strong, and the balance with the pork bone is perfect. There are different types of home-style ramen, but this one is unique. There have been creamy types recently, but this one is a bit different, with a punchy soup that's not sharp, exceeding my expectations greatly and making me very happy. The noodles are the reliable Sakai Seimen, and this satisfying texture goes well with the soup. The shop, with about 20 seats, was full in about 10 minutes, and there was a line outside. Now, after soaking the spinach and noodles in plenty of soup, slurp! Mmm! The pork is a bit dry, so you can eat a lot of rice. I put the flavored egg on top, wrapped it with seaweed soaked in soup, and took a bite. Ahh! Delicious!! The rice disappeared in no time. I had to consider my plans for later and resisted adding garlic, but I enjoyed the noodles and soup until the end, finishing everything. I left the shop feeling very satisfied. It's a home-style ramen that you can't easily find elsewhere. I highly recommend it to those who haven't been there yet!

When I arrived, there were 3 people waiting, but I got in after about 5 minutes. I like my ramen firm, rich, and with extra toppings. The bowl arrived in 5 minutes and I was very satisfied with the generous portion typical of a house-made ramen. The rich flavor was quite salty, so I regretted not choosing a normal flavor. I will definitely go back when I'm nearby.

I visited Samurai, the number one house ramen in Shibuya. I arrived around 7:30 pm on a weekday and there were about 4 people waiting. I ordered the classic ramen (firm noodles, rich flavor, extra oil) and white rice. As soon as it was served, the rich pork bone aroma made my mouth water. The taste was one of the best I've had in house ramen. Despite being rich in flavor and oil, it had a mild touch that made it surprisingly easy to eat.

I went to Kaikesi Ramen Samurai located along Shibuya Mark City and ordered the Ramen Zenbu Nose (1100 yen) with an additional side of rice (100 yen). The restaurant has recently relocated and now has better access from the station. I arrived around 3 pm on a holiday and found the place almost full, but managed to get in without waiting in line. I chose my meal using a ticket system, specifying the firmness of the noodles, amount of oil, and intensity of soy sauce. I went for firm noodles and regular on the rest. The soup is traditional with a sharp soy sauce flavor and a delicious richness from the pork bone broth. It has just the right amount of punch to it. Personally, I found it tastier than the previous location of Samurai. The noodles are medium-thick curly noodles, a classic choice for house-style ramen. The chashu pork slices have a good balance of lean and fatty meat. Each component doesn't stand out on its own, but together they create a well-balanced and delicious meal. If you're looking for house-style ramen in Shibuya, this place is definitely a must-try. Thank you for the meal.

I visited during the company's lunch break. It was past 3 pm and surprisingly the place was full. This must be a good sign. Lately, I've been feeling like I've only been eating ramen from the Machida Shouten chain, and I couldn't get the taste of Atsugi-ke out of my mind from my student days. As I was thinking about this, my order arrived. Of course, I also ordered extra rice, but I forgot to add extra seaweed. As expected, I couldn't finish the seaweed roll, so I ended up finishing it with a combination of soup and rice. I don't eat ramen often, so I'm not sure if this is the authentic style, but it was really delicious. Thank you for the meal. I will visit again!

I entered the restaurant without having to wait in line around 3:30 p.m. There were quite a few customers even though it was not lunchtime. I ordered ramen, seaweed, and half rice. I also added cucumber Kyu-chan to the half rice. It took about 10 minutes for the food to be served. The taste was delicious as always, but I felt like the depth of the soup was slightly lacking compared to the Ikejiri branch. It seemed like the taste had dropped a bit compared to when it was at the new Minami exit in Shibuya. Maybe it's because I've gotten older... Personally, I think if Samurai Ramen were to start offering smoked chashu, it would attract even more fans of house-style ramen. Thank you for the meal.

Near Shibuya Station on the Keio Line, there is a famous ramen shop loved by fans of tonkotsu ramen. I tried their "ramen all toppings" dish, which uses noodles from Sakai Seimen. The chashu is flavorful with just the right amount of fat, not too greasy or smoky like some others. The spinach has a nice texture that complements the soup perfectly. The soy sauce broth is gentle with a slight kick, leaning towards a soy sauce tonkotsu style rather than creamy. The soup is so addictive that I could drink it all day. I didn't order it this time, but I bet it would go great with rice. Next time, I'll have to try it with rice.

I found a delicious ramen restaurant in Tokyo and it was so good! It had been a while since I had authentic ramen and I was impressed. I went around 4 pm on a Saturday and was able to get in without waiting. I ordered a soy sauce ramen for 850 yen, added a flavored egg for 100 yen, and half rice for 50 yen, totaling 1000 yen. Most people there ordered their noodles firm. The soup had a perfect balance, and after the first bite, I knew this was a delicious ramen place. The noodles were about 20 centimeters long and easy to slurp. The soy sauce flavor packed a punch, combined with a subtle chicken oil and a rich pork bone taste. Of course, I also enjoyed the rice wrapped in seaweed soaked in chicken oil and soup. The weird-colored cucumber on the table had a tatami smell, so I might skip it next time. I don't like mixing garlic into the whole bowl, so I dipped it in the soup and alternated between garlic soup, default soup, rice, in a loop until I finished quickly. I usually like old-school ramen places like Rokkaku-ya and Rasta in Hiyoshi, but this place definitely ranks in my top three favorite ramen spots. I was getting tired of the lazy ramen made by unmotivated staff just reheating the soup, or ramen made by foreigners with limited Japanese skills, so this place was a refreshing change with lively staff making the soup on-site. I will definitely be coming here monthly from now on. The only downside is that the counter seats are very uncomfortable, especially for shorter women or children. There are tables available, but they are more suitable for two people. Well, I guess they are not targeting women anyway.

I heard it was quite popular, so I went to check it out since it's near Shibuya. It's conveniently located near the station and not too crowded, just a little bit of a wait. The taste is like your typical classic tonkotsu ramen, which I love. The highlight is the delicious pork fat. Towards the end, it felt like it lost a bit of its momentum. It was a bit too heavy on the garlic. Overall, I was satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

When it comes to Samurai, I used to visit the shop in Komaba Todai on Tanjima Street a lot when I was younger. My son and I had the chance to come to Shibuya, and when I asked him, "What do you want to eat?" he replied, "I want to eat ramen from Samurai." So, we visited the shop together. It had been a long time since I had Samurai's ramen. The soup has a strong seasoning with soy sauce, and combined with chemical seasonings, I felt a lot of saltiness. The ramen that I used to think was so delicious now felt a bit too salty. The fact that the shop is filled with young people means that the taste is popular. Sadly, it was a bowl that made me feel my age.

I went to the restaurant for lunch on a regular day. Luckily, I was able to get in without waiting in line and was seated at a table even though I was dining alone. Since I'm on a diet, I ordered a small ramen and a seasoned egg, but I regret not getting rice. The taste was decent, but on the salty side. I couldn't help but quietly say "delicious." Next time, I want to try it with rice.

I visited in the early evening on a weekday. When I arrived, the restaurant was 90% full. There was a ticket machine near the entrance, so I bought a ramen ticket for 850 yen. I was seated at the counter and my ramen arrived in less than 5 minutes. I took a sip of the soup first. It had a strong and delicious flavor typical of a classic family-style ramen. It was really tasty. The noodles were medium-thick and curly, which paired well with the soup. The nori topping was also nice, and I didn't stop eating until the bowl was empty. It felt like I was able to enjoy a classic family-style ramen after a long time. Thank you for the meal.

Before going to watch my friend's live performance at Ramaama, I decided to have a little snack. I remembered the taste of Shibuya from decades ago when house-style ramen was still rare in Tokyo, so I decided to visit this place in Shibuya, near the station, after about 15 years. The location has changed, but the taste remains the same. The place was packed, even though I went during off-peak hours. The popularity of this shop was evident. I didn't order the chashu ramen as I have a trip to Korea coming up, but skipping rice would be disrespectful in a house-style ramen shop, so I ordered the tsukemen, of course, with extra noodles. The ramen was rich in flavor, with a delicate and refined taste that surprised me. It lacked the aggressive edge that house-style ramen usually has, offering a more polished flavor profile. The medium-thick noodles absorbed the soup's flavor impressively. Eating it with rice, garlic, and toppings like seaweed and spinach enhanced the experience. The chashu was decent, but the overall ramen was truly exceptional. It was a special ramen shop that never fails to impress with its delicious offerings.

It is located about a 5-minute walk from Shibuya Station towards Mark City. I arrived around 18:30 and was able to enter without waiting. However, by the time I left, there was a line of about 10 people waiting. I ordered the special garlic ramen, made with Amagi garlic, but there is also free garlic available on the table. The ramen was rich and incredibly delicious! A ramen that you can't stop eating. It was amazing!

Visited during the Obon holiday. Entered without having to wait. I had high expectations since the Ikejiri branch was delicious, so I entered the store feeling excited. I ordered the special salt ramen with half rice, and being able to choose a salt option in an authentic style was a pleasant surprise. The broth was delicious like a potage, which I love. The chashu was plentiful, as well as the seaweed and chicken oil. It was a delicious bowl that blew away my summer fatigue.

I always have trouble deciding on lunch at Shibuya Station, so without much thought, I searched for a popular ramen shop in the direction of Inokashira Line. A Yokohama-style ramen shop had just opened in Shibuya, but there was already a long line. The staff were urging customers to register on Twitter, but I didn't have an account. The shop is small, with only two people working efficiently in the kitchen. The rich soup and classic taste of the ramen scream Yokohama-style. The surprising thing was that the noodles were delicious - slightly thick and perfectly coated in soup and oil. The cucumber side dish was also very tasty. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

Before opening here, I wonder how many customers know about the store on Awajishima Street currently and the store that used to be in Higashimatsubara. I used to be a hardcore regular customer (laughs). I knew that Shibuya was the main store, but this was my first visit. There was a line outside the store, and it seemed to be thriving. The soup was as mellow as I remembered, delicious as always. It's the taste that sets the standard for my family line. I will continue to visit Samurai.

I received a ramen rice set for 950 yen. It's great that they offer this quality ramen during lunch hours on weekdays for those who struggle to find a place to eat. I sometimes enjoy the delicious salt ramen at the Ikejiri store, so I wonder if it's just as good at the Shibuya store.

After going to the sauna, I entered the restaurant. Despite arriving right after opening, there was already a line. I didn't have to wait, but others behind me either sat inside or relaxed outside. I ordered the special ramen, opting for the regular flavor. Despite choosing the regular option, it was quite rich. Personally, I think it would have been even more refreshing if there was vinegar on the table. The taste suited my preferences very well, and the chashu was tender and very delicious. The chairs were immovable and the seating was too close to the person next to me, which was a bit of a downside, but I was satisfied with the taste. Thank you for the meal.

I suddenly wanted to eat, but since the Ikejiri shop is closed on Mondays, I decided to visit the Shibuya main store for the first time and chose the koime. The richness was just right, I think. I ate the rice and still felt like I could eat more, so I added half a portion of rice. I ended up eating too much. Personally, I feel that the Ikejiri shop tastes better.
