Ramen 850 yen, half rice 50 yen, flavored egg 100 yen
I've been craving home-style ramen for a while, so when it comes to Shibuya, there are many places I want to go, but I decided to visit "Samurai" for their home-style ramen. It wasn't a shop I had been paying much attention to, but when I gathered information after deciding to go, it seems that SUSURU-kun highly recommends it. This raised my expectations, so I arrived 30 minutes before opening and worked at a nearby bakery's eat-in space until it was time to go to Samurai!
4 people in line 2 minutes before opening!
As soon as it opened, the staff guided us into the shop. I ordered the default option. I was debating whether to get the regular size rice or the small size, but the previous customer ordered the small size, so I followed suit. I had a 1,000 yen bill, so I had 100 yen left, and somehow I also ordered the flavored egg, making it exactly 1,000 yen. It's my first time having a flavored egg with home-style ramen. There were paper aprons next to the ticket machine, so I took one and sat down. The water was from a water dispenser, so I had to go back and forth several times that day. I was served in 8 minutes, even though there were 4 batches, and I was served in 8 minutes! Now, let's see what it tastes like. The soup is... Wow! Delicious!! The soy sauce isn't too strong, and the balance with the pork bone is perfect. There are different types of home-style ramen, but this one is unique. There have been creamy types recently, but this one is a bit different, with a punchy soup that's not sharp, exceeding my expectations greatly and making me very happy. The noodles are the reliable Sakai Seimen, and this satisfying texture goes well with the soup. The shop, with about 20 seats, was full in about 10 minutes, and there was a line outside. Now, after soaking the spinach and noodles in plenty of soup, slurp! Mmm! The pork is a bit dry, so you can eat a lot of rice. I put the flavored egg on top, wrapped it with seaweed soaked in soup, and took a bite. Ahh! Delicious!! The rice disappeared in no time. I had to consider my plans for later and resisted adding garlic, but I enjoyed the noodles and soup until the end, finishing everything. I left the shop feeling very satisfied. It's a home-style ramen that you can't easily find elsewhere. I highly recommend it to those who haven't been there yet!
