特盛ヒロシ
On January 30th, the well-known ramen shop "Men'gyo," famous for its red snapper ramen, opened at the Ramen Gekijo in UDX in Akihabara. The location is a 2-minute walk from Akihabara Station Electric Town Exit on the JR Sobu Line, Yamanote Line, Keihin-Tohoku Line, and Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line. It is also a 7-8 minute walk from Exit 1 of Suehirocho Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line, and an 8-minute walk from Iwamotocho Station on the Toei Shinjuku Line. The operating hours are from 11:00 to 23:00 continuously. I visited alone around 7:30 PM. Orders are placed using a ticket machine, with one machine inside the food court and four machines outside. The menu includes red snapper ramen with salt (930 yen), red snapper ramen with soy sauce (930 yen), rich red snapper ramen (980 yen), rich shrimp miso ramen (1,050 yen), Men'gyo's red snapper black ramen (1,100 yen), salmon ramen (930 yen), salmon tsukemen (930 yen), and salmon abura soba (830 yen), with prices varying for special and mixed rice sets. This was my third or fourth visit to Men'gyo, and I ordered the salmon ramen this time. I purchased the ticket and waited for my number to be called. The seating area is like a food court with around 100 seats, and Men'gyo is located towards the back, so I sat at a table in the back. After a 5-6 minute wait, my number was called, and I received my salmon ramen. The appearance of the soup was beautiful, with a clear and golden orange color. In the middle was a tender-looking rare chashu. The aroma was strong, reminiscent of seafood and fish, with a hint of salmon and red snapper. The taste was delicious, with a flavorful soup that had a smoky taste from the grilled salmon. It was similar to the red snapper ramen in terms of flavor. The noodles were made of 100% whole wheat flour, a custom-made straight noodle ground with a stone mill. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit again.
