R.4.2.19 (Tuesday) 2nd visit <Entrance time> 17:40 <Crowdedness> I had a reservation so I was able to get in, but by the time I left, the place was full. <Atmosphere of the restaurant> <Attitude of the staff> Please refer to the first review. <Ordered items> Saloat Po Stroganovski Borscht Chai Piroshki Pechonnu Louie (Roasted sea bream) Assorted olives Shukmerli <Arrival time of the dishes> Average. Each dish took about 10 minutes. <Taste> - Roast Beef Salad: Marinated mushrooms and roast beef wrapped in vegetables with a special sauce. The taste is mellow and refreshing, with a good balance of flavors. The roast beef flavor is not overpowering. - Piroshki: The surface is crispy and the inside is fluffy, with a light meat filling. It's not packed tightly, so it has a light and fluffy texture. It's just right for those who want to try one piece. - Shukmerli: A rich white sauce with very tender and soft chicken thigh meat. It goes well with bread and is a main dish. - Borscht: A soup with no earthy taste of beets, very easy to eat. It contains slowly simmered vegetables and beef, with plenty of umami flavor. - Roasted sea bream: I tried it with orange sauce. When combined with vegetables, sea bream, and sauce, there is a unified taste that is very delicious. - Chai: Black tea with strawberry jam, black cherry jam, and rose jam to add as you like. I particularly liked the rose jam, which gives a pleasant sensation of roses blooming in your mouth when you drink it. <Overall evaluation> S rating *Rating criteria (personal arbitrary criteria, so I would be happy if you could consider it as a reference): S rating (90 points and above): A must-try deliciousness that you want to go back to multiple times and recommend to everyone. A rating (80 points and above): Delicious and passable. High priority in choosing a restaurant. B rating (60-80 points): Maybe worth a repeat visit. C rating (40-60 points): Wouldn't think of going on my own. D rating (below 40 points): Maybe no need to go again.

I had been wanting to visit the Shinjuku Nishiguchi branch for a long time, and it has finally moved here after some time. I finally got the chance to visit. It was during the year-end vacation, and my husband and I had some business to attend to in Shinjuku in the evening, so we decided to have dinner before heading back. My husband asked me what I wanted to eat, and I requested this place. Surprisingly, he agreed easily, and we made a reservation. The location is on the basement floor of a building along Yasukuni Street with a large red sign of a drugstore called Ryuseido. The menu at the table only had drinks, and we were told that we would receive the food menu after ordering drinks. I originally wanted to try Russian cuisine here, but looking at the menu, I saw they also had Siberian, Georgian, and Jewish styles. I ordered the Borscht (¥1,080) and the Grivit V Smityanye (¥1,080). The Borscht here uses beets, so we were advised to mix it well before eating. It had a refreshing sour cream flavor and was very delicious. The Grivit V Smityanye was smaller than I expected, so I had to eat it with the bread on top. My husband ordered the Khachapuri (¥1,600), which was a Georgian cheese bread with Sulguni cheese and Brynza cheese. The cheese was so stretchy and delicious. After a few bites, I felt satisfied. I decided to have dessert, and I ordered the Russian tea and Chai (¥748). It came with cherry, rose petals, and seasonal jam. I was told to eat the jam with a spoon and then drink the tea. The jams were all delicious, and I ended up enjoying them one by one without adding them to the tea.

A restaurant where you can enjoy Russian, Ukrainian, and Georgian cuisine. Located in the underground of a drugstore near the east exit of Shinjuku. The entrance is a bit dark with the name of the restaurant in Cyrillic letters, giving it a unique atmosphere. Inside, the soft light and dark wooden decor create a cozy ambiance. The table seats are semi-private with tall sofas and curtains for separation. The decor includes cute items like Matryoshka dolls. I ordered the Sungari Lunch D (Salad Lunch) for 2,480 yen. The salad, Sarat Luinok, was a vegetable and herb salad with a mild herb flavor and a slightly tangy French dressing. The Borscht soup was a vibrant red color with sour cream on top, and the cabbage, potatoes, and beets were well-cooked and tender. The Golubtsi, a Ukrainian-style cabbage roll, was juicy and flavorful with a rich tomato cream sauce. The broccoli was also delicious. The rye Russian bread served during the meal paired well with the tomato cream sauce. The portion sizes were generous with a good balance of vegetables and meat. The Russian tea at the end was particularly lovely, with three types of jam in a gorgeous container. The rose jam added a floral touch to the tea. Overall, it's a unique and quiet spot in the bustling Shinjuku area, perfect for those looking for something different from the usual pasta lunches. My friends and I were all very satisfied with the experience. It's a rare find in Shinjuku, and definitely worth a visit!

I'm interested in trying the traditional Russian cuisine...! This restaurant serves dishes from Russia, Ukraine, and Georgia. I want to visit Logoski, but first, let's try here. Russian cuisine is known for its simplicity, so I wonder if it will be too extravagant... Spring course menu: Amuse-bouche with Osetra caviar and avocado cocktail, followed by Marinated Ket and Blini (Russian-style fresh salmon marinated in blini crepe) or Crab, scallop, angel shrimp, and mango tabbouleh salad for an additional fee. Then, Mushroom and white asparagus cream stew, Borscht (beef and vegetable red cabbage soup), and a choice of three main dishes: Basturma (grilled beef fillet with Georgian "Adjika" spice), Ragu is Cabanina (Tamba Sasayama wild boar cheek meat stew with celery root puree) for an additional fee, or today's fish dish with Sleepnu vinaigrette sauce (Pan-fried horse mackerel with tomato vinaigrette sauce). Finish with Hariep bread or Piroshki and tea or coffee (with jam). Russian cuisine is a unique genre that is hard to compare, but the dishes were very delicious. Thank you for the feast! Course: 6,780 yen

A Russian and Georgian cuisine restaurant. Amidst the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku, descending underground reveals a unique and high-quality space that exudes an exotic atmosphere. The staff is top-notch, knowledgeable about Russian cuisine, wine, vodka, and various food cultures, and they are friendly and attentive. We deliberately ordered a la carte, and the flavors were bold and distinct, not tailored to Japanese tastes. This is what makes dining at a foreign restaurant worthwhile. Russian cuisine is not something we encounter often, and it may be difficult to travel to such countries for a while. That's why it's important to understand and appreciate it. With Georgian wine, herbal-infused vodka, as we drink, we lose track of time and space, forgetting that this is Shinjuku.

Had lunch with a friend at a restaurant that recently relocated (*´ч`*) I had been told by my aunt back when I was a student that there was a delicious Russian cuisine restaurant in Shinjuku, and I had visited with my parents and friends a few times before, but it had been a while since my last visit. The atmosphere was brighter and more stylish than before.˚⊹ ⁺‧( *´꒳`*)‧⁺ ⊹˚. It was my first time having lunch there, and we ordered the affordable course menu. The borscht turns into a beautiful pink color as the sour cream and beets mix together by the time you finish eating, which is heartwarming (≧▽≦) It was delicious with the umami of the vegetables! The cabbage rolls were in a tomato cream base, I think? The simple bread and sauce went really well together ♬.*゚ Enjoying the Russian tea with the jam containers, which were as cute as ever, got my friend really excited (๑ơ ₃ ơ)♥ All three jams were exquisite, especially the rose jam, which had a rich fragrance and was so delicious that I was considering buying it as a souvenir (*´ω`*) I would love to come back at night too〜(*'▽'*)♪ Thank you for the meal〜

I went for lunch on a Saturday as they only serve lunch on weekends. This was my second visit. I wanted to order from the regular menu but they only had lunch courses. I ordered the cheapest lunch course for around 2000 yen. The cost performance was still good. First, I had borscht, a gentle flavored soup with a big piece of meat. I melted sour cream into it. Next was golubtsi, a Ukrainian-style cabbage roll with tomato cream sauce. It was rich and went well with bread. It came with a small salad. For dessert, I had apple pie which was quite sweet and delicious. Lastly, I had Russian tea with rose, blueberry, and strawberry jam. I was advised by the staff to first try the jam alone, which was sweet and tasty with chunks of fruit. I could mix it with the tea as well. The volume and taste for the price of around 2000 yen were great, but it seemed high in calories so I recommend exercising before visiting. The jam came in a large quantity, so finishing it all would definitely lead to gaining weight.

I visited this restaurant for a lunch limited to holidays. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, and the staff were flexible in accommodating our seating preferences. I would definitely like to visit again. Personally, I really liked the whole wheat bread with a hint of spice. (Of course, everything was delicious!)

- The stores are "Shinjuku Higashi-guchi Main Store" and "Shinjuku Sanchome Store" along Yasukuni Street. - The weekend lunch course includes 4 kinds of Sungari lunch (approx. 2500 yen), Borscht, Golubtsi (cabbage rolls), bread (rye), dessert (peach tart), Russian tea. - Pros: Enjoyable Russian tea, cost-effective, calm atmosphere. - Cons: It seems like the course menu cannot be changed.

I visited the restaurant with three friends. We made a reservation for the lunch course through Tabelog. Every dish was delicious, and we were surprised that when you choose tea for your drink after the meal, you get three kinds of jam! The rose jam in particular was exquisite, with a lovely fragrance and taste. The staff members were all wonderful and provided excellent customer service. One of my friends was in a wheelchair, and they were very considerate in helping us. I couldn't check out the restroom!

I followed the X (Twitter) of the Georgian Ambassador to Japan and was interested in the country, so I decided to visit. I tried Georgian sparkling wine and orange wine. The blini wrapped in salmon was fresh with a strong onion flavor, almost like a salad. The shkmeruli had bone-in chicken thigh and was very filling. I had Russian tea with jam, almost like a dessert. I left the restaurant feeling satisfied.

It is a well-known Russian cuisine restaurant. Went there with a close friend for drinks. We tried the seasonal course for 7,128 yen. The atmosphere was amazing. Food with a sense of wonder and a theme always makes the meal enjoyable. Among all the branches, I think the Shinjuku Sanchome branch has the best individual spaces and is lovely. We had Marinated Herring and Blini, Creamy Mushroom and White Asparagus Pot, Borscht, Basturma, Pirozhki, and Russian Tea. The highlight was the Russian Tea with dark cherry flavor. It really captured the Russian vibe. Food with a twist like this always makes me want to come back. It's not about having tons of money and eating at fancy places, but about enjoying good food with a unique touch. It's nice to be able to impress someone by taking them to such a place.

We visited the restaurant on a weekday evening in July, two adult women. We ordered items like piroshki, water dumplings, veal sauté, and dessert. We had never experienced Russian, Ukrainian, or Georgian cuisine before, but we were very satisfied and want to try more dishes. The doorbell was in a stylish case. The interior of the restaurant is stylish and elevated our mood.

I visited a restaurant recommended by a friend from high school who I believe to be a gourmet. My friend is currently into Russian cuisine, and we decided to go eat there. They enjoy imagining being an otaku while eating food from their favorite character's hometown, even though there are no Saint Seiya goods here. I had never tried Russian food before, so I only knew about vodka from Russia. I was a bit worried that it might not suit my taste, but I trusted my friend's recommendation and ordered the Sungari course. The restaurant offers set courses, and there is a wide variety of alcohol available. I'm not a big drinker, so I was a little concerned about Russian drinks being strong, but the Russian staff kindly recommended a drink that they thought would be easy to drink. The interior of the restaurant is very stylish, and every dish looks beautiful in photos. As expected, all the dishes were delicious. Even though it's Russian cuisine, it felt familiar to Japanese winter dishes. The food was comforting and perfect for Japanese taste buds. Just a heads up, your stool may turn red the day after eating borscht. It's not blood. Finally, they serve tea at the end, and the container is cute. They recommend mixing jam into the tea, and the rose jam is highly recommended. It's beautiful to see rose petals swirling when mixed. The portions are quite generous, so it's best to go on an empty stomach. Originally, we were planning to go to a shop called Matryoshka in Mirodo, but it was closed, so we went to Sungari instead. Sungari is a bit more expensive, but I was satisfied with the food, service, and overall experience. The atmosphere is great, so it's recommended for a special occasion!

I used it for lunch. Despite being difficult to find from the road, the restaurant was constantly busy with customers. The cabbage rolls and borscht were delicious. I didn't really like the bread that came with the set. The pear tart was moist. The Russian tea with regular black tea is like eating jam while drinking tea.

I always wanted to visit this long-established restaurant serving Russian, Ukrainian, and Georgian cuisine. It was my first visit, so I consulted with the staff and decided to try the "Sungari Course" which allows you to enjoy a variety of traditional Russian dishes and add Georgian dishes a la carte. [Georgian Cuisine] - Georgian appetizer platter with 6 items: lobio (red kidney beans), pickled chili peppers, beef in sour cream, eggplant rolls with feta cheese and walnuts, ajapsandali (similar to ratatouille), and herb-marinated salmon. Each dish had a unique flavor, with the beef in sour cream being particularly delicious. - Kharcho: Georgian-style tender beef and rice soup flavored with khmeli suneli. Spicy and reminiscent of soup curry, with tender meat. - Braised beef cheek: Served with a little chili paste on the side. The cilantro did a great job, giving a refreshing touch. [Sungari Course] - Marinovnaya Keta (Russian-style fresh salmon marinated in blini crepe): The gentle sweetness of the crepe, the acidity of the salmon marinade, and the saltiness of the sauce created an addictive taste. I wanted to have seconds. - Grivy v Smitanye (Creamy baked stew of mushrooms and white asparagus): Hot and delicious. Different from what I had at another Russian restaurant, this dish was fluffy and flavorful. - Borscht (Beef and vegetable soup with beetroot flavor): A classic Russian dish with chunky pieces of meat. The borscht here was of high quality. - Golubtsi (Ukrainian-style stuffed cabbage rolls in tomato cream sauce): Absolutely delicious. The tomato cream was rich and tasty. Served with broccoli, carrots, and crispy and fluffy potato. My favorite dish of the day. - Hariep Pan (Homemade rye Russian bread) The restaurant also had a wide selection of cocktails and wines, making it hard to choose. I started with a cocktail called Verde Nikolai, followed by Georgian wine and the "Kabukicho ETHICAL GIN Ne 10" gin and soda. The gin had a herbal flavor that I enjoyed. For dessert, I ordered the Classic Russian Tea, which came with various jams that were sweet and sour, making for a delightful end to the meal. It's amazing to find such a lovely restaurant with great food in Shinjuku. I was truly impressed by the delicious dishes and would love to visit again to try more. The main branch is also located in Shinjuku, with a slightly different menu, so I would like to visit there as well. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience!

A restaurant where you can enjoy authentic Russian and Georgian cuisine. Not only the food, but also the variety of drinks makes it hard to choose. On this day, two of us shared the Sungalico course and the recommended Georgian dishes. [Georgian Cuisine] - Georgian appetizer platter (6 items) - Khachapuri (spicy soup with beef and rice) - Braised beef cheek [Sungalico Course] - Marinovnaya Keta (Russian-style fresh salmon marinated in blini crepe) - Grivy v Smitanye (creamy baked mushrooms and white asparagus) - Borscht (beef and vegetable soup with a hint of red cabbage) - Golubtsy (Ukrainian-style stuffed cabbage rolls in tomato cream sauce) - Hariep Pan (homemade rye Russian bread) - Russian tea (black tea served with rose jam and seasonal jams) Especially delicious was the "Marinovnaya Keta" from the Sungalico course. It's like a Japanese crepe with a slightly sweet dough wrapping tomatoes and salmon. The sweetness of the dough was perfect and matched well with the ingredients. And of course, the Borscht soup, a classic Russian dish, had a rich and flavorful taste. We ended the meal with Russian tea, which was not only sweet but also had a fruity jam flavor. Georgian cuisine seemed to use a lot of spices, and dishes like ratatouille had a familiar yet enjoyable spicy taste. It was my first time trying Georgian cuisine, but I think those who enjoy spices will love the flavors. We also tried Georgian sparkling wine, orange wine, and craft gin from Kabukicho. They were all unique and refreshing, especially the gin. The food, drinks, and atmosphere were all great, making it a versatile restaurant for friends, dates, or business dinners.

Reservation is recommended. The lunch course menu ranges from around 2000 to 5000 yen. I ordered a course for about 4000 yen. The Blini (similar to Russian-style crepes) that came out first had a slightly sweet and soft crepe with a salmon salad inside that was seasoned with sour cream, making for a refreshing and excellent combination. I forgot to take a photo, but the Shukmerli (a chicken cream stew-like dish) had a strong garlic flavor with tender meat that was superb. I would love to go again.

It was delicious and I would like to come back again. It was my first time dining on Russian cuisine, and it was definitely authentic Russian food. The flavors were adjusted to be easy for Japanese people to enjoy, making it appealing to a wide audience. I recommend the course with all-you-can-drink option, which includes vodka, fitting for Russian cuisine. The interior of the restaurant is also nice, suitable for entertaining guests. The photo is of the Russian tea served at the end of the course.

I heard about this place from a friend and decided to visit. I made a reservation through Tabelog and received a call informing me that the restaurant was about to close soon because I booked a time close to their closing time. The atmosphere inside was moody and suitable for a girls' night out or a casual date. My friend and I ordered drinks, borscht, piroshki, pelmeni, and cabbage rolls. We shared the pelmeni and cabbage rolls. The borscht was delicious, especially with the sour cream on top. The piroshki was hot and freshly made. The pelmeni (dumplings) were chewy and the sauce had a gentle and tasty flavor. The cabbage rolls had a great combination of tomato cream sauce and flavorful meat. Every dish was delicious, and I would definitely want to come back to this restaurant regularly.
