I enjoyed a glass of sparkling wine with a free drink voucher during cocktail time. It was served in a plastic cup, which was a bit plain, but understandable given the location. The foot bath was nice and warm, and the gentle breeze felt pleasant. In the evening, I had a mimosa, which had a different view and put me in a good mood. However, it tasted more like orange juice with little alcohol.

The purpose of this trip was to stay at the Bettei Kamogawa on the banks of the Kamo River and enjoy the hot springs. Staying at this hotel allows you to soak in a foot bath on the open-air terrace while enjoying unlimited drinks. It was a beautiful day, perfect for enjoying the view of Gion's Minamiza theater and the Kamo River while relaxing in the hot springs. I never imagined that I could relax in a hot spring while enjoying such a magnificent view. The scenery was amazing, and the hot springs were fantastic, with open-air baths in the room as well.

I made a reservation through Hot Pepper Gourmet. Since it was February, the inside of the restaurant was a bit cold! It was great that the all-you-can-eat and drink option was only 5000 yen for two people. Each person could have 3 drinks and we had 6 food items, which was just right. The food took a bit long to come out, but it wasn't too bothersome. The view was nothing special, but the atmosphere was nice and easy to have a conversation.

When staying at the villa in Kamogawa, there was a rooftop bar above with foot baths under the counter seats. The drinks were all-you-can-drink for guests, the view was great, and it was close to Kyoto's downtown area. The service was also good. I would like to use it again.

During my stay in Kyoto, I stayed at a hotel where I received a kaiseki bento box breakfast called "Koto no Tamatebako." I picked it up around 7 in the morning and also got miso soup and tea. The hotel had a rooftop terrace, which was a nice feature. In the hot August mornings of Kyoto, I took the bento box, miso soup, and tea to the rooftop to enjoy breakfast while admiring the Kyoto scenery. Opening the bento box, I couldn't help but exclaim, "What a treasure trove of a breakfast!" It was a classy and delicious morning meal with a view.
