Concept cafes are trending these days. This time, I made my first visit to this stationery cafe. I went on a Sunday evening before it got too late. Mostly women were there, with a few couples here and there, but no groups of men. There was a line forming along the stairs. First, I gave my name and waited to be called, which took about 40 minutes. There were no chairs to sit and wait, and the aisles were narrow, so I ended up standing the whole time, which was a bit tough. Finally, I was called to my seat. There were various stationery items like scissors, crayons, markers, pens, etc., and all the customers in the cafe were drawing something. So, I decided to join in and draw as well. It was a strange space where you could immerse yourself in drawing or just looking at the notes left by others. Despite the atmosphere, the menu included not only typical cafe items but also original items from the cafe. One of the original drinks was the "Colored Pencil Squash" (excluding tax, 700 yen). It consisted of a lemon squash base with two types of syrup in a bottle. You could customize it to your liking by adding the syrup to the lemon squash. The staff warned me that the syrup was quite sweet, so I added it gradually, but the acidity of the lemon squash was strong, so just a little syrup wasn't enough. However, the strong acidity of the lemon squash was stimulating and flavorful, so I thought it was pretty good. After all, it's a concept cafe. Just a reminder, the rating on Tabelog doesn't necessarily reflect the quality of the food.
