I had a quick lunch near the office. I was craving noodles, so I ordered rice noodles with minced meat, leeks, and bean sprouts. It was simmering hot, surprisingly light in flavor, and just the right amount of spiciness. It's perfect for cold weather, and I really enjoyed the taste.

This is a Yunnan cuisine restaurant located near Yotsuya Sanchome. They serve a Yunnan specialty dish called "Crossing-the-Bridge Rice Noodles." Other dishes like saliva chicken were also delicious. They offer a variety of dishes including dim sum and stir-fries. They have a selection of drinks such as Tsingtao beer and Shaoxing wine. It's a great place to enjoy delicious and unique dishes.

In the shop, 90% of the words flying around are foreign. It's amazing that there is such a shop in Yotsuya. The food and drinks are delicious and cheap!!! And everyone was ordering steamed fish dishes. I definitely want to try it next time.

I enjoyed a rare Yunnan cuisine dish, a traditional medicinal herbal steam pot chicken, limited to 15 servings. The soup is deeply nourishing and delicious. The fried eggplant with Sichuan pepper flavor was also amazing, I finished it in no time. There are many other dishes I want to try, so I have decided to become a regular at this restaurant.

The "Bang Bang Chicken" is 850 yen and you can choose between wheat noodles and rice noodles. The rice noodles are a new experience and have a chewy and smooth texture. The slightly aromatic star anise sauce is also delicious. The dish wasn't too cold, which made the flavors more pronounced. I also enjoyed the detox tea from the drink bar and the almond jelly in the lunch set. I arrived just before lunchtime and the restaurant was already busy, with all seats quickly taken.

I decided to try the Beef and Leek Set Meal at this new restaurant on a tired Friday. I was surprised that they didn't serve water, but instead had a drink bar. The detox tea was delicious, and the jasmine tea was also really good. The Beef and Leek was piping hot and I burned my mouth. It had a nice flavor, with lots of bean sprouts. The fresh leeks were sweet and tasty. However, the liver had a bit of a smell to it. Despite that, the seasoning was good, so next time I'll try the Black Vinegar Sweet and Sour Pork. The almond jelly was like a delicious Bavarian cream. It's a nice Chinese restaurant where you can relax. I'll definitely go back again!

I think this is my third time here. They have a drink bar, so it's a great place to kill time. I had today's lunch special B, steamed chicken with leek sauce and a mini mapo tofu for ¥880, which was a ¥30 price increase. They offer free extra rice, almond jelly, and pickled vegetables. This place is apparently famous for its rice noodles, as it was featured on a TV show with Matsuko. I left feeling full.

I went to this restaurant that my favorite gourmet writer recommended and made a reservation right away! I went with my close friends. It was my first time, so we decided to go for the course with the famous hot pot and all-you-can-drink included. The course included the following:
1. Assorted four appetizers
2. Traditional herbal chicken soup hot pot
3. Yunnan tofu with shrimp
4. Yunnan stir-fried vegetables
5. Kunming-style spicy chili chicken
6. White fish, tomato, bamboo shoots, and bok choy simmered in sour sauce
7. Fried eggplant with Sichuan pepper flavor
8. Xiao Long Bao
9. Special Yunnan fried rice
10. Homemade rich almond tofu
Everything from the first appetizer was delicious! Personally, I loved the dried tofu. The herbal soup, which is the restaurant's specialty, was mild and comforting. It felt like it could cure a hangover. The stir-fries and fried dishes were all tasty, with no disappointments. We all love eating and drinking, but by the time we got to the almond tofu, we were too full (laughs). All of this, with all-you-can-drink (and bottled beer!), for only 4000 yen! Unbelievable! There are also individual items like Shaoxing wine available, so I definitely want to go back to this restaurant! #YotsuyaSanchomeGourmet

I wonder if Akihabara and Yushima are part of the same chain as Kachikoshi Rice Noodle Line? Speaking of Kachikoshi Rice Noodle Line, the rice noodles are delicious of course, but this time I tried the boiled beef (Sichuan-style stewed beef) for the first time and it was delicious. I poured it over white rice and even finished all the soup. Despite being authentic Chinese cuisine, they also offer common Japanese Chinese dishes like pan-fried dumplings.

Unusual Yunnan cuisine with authentic Chinese flavors. Ordered dishes like Yunnan-style potato galette, Yunnan tofu with shrimp, and lamb spare ribs. Finished with traditional Cross-bridge rice noodles. Surprisingly, the flavors were not as bold as expected. All-you-can-drink Shaoxing wine for 800 yen per hour was a great deal.

A little bit of indigestion this morning. I have a regular check-up today, so I want to eat something nutritious but gentle on the stomach. So, I went to Yotsuya-Sanchome. I arrived before 1 pm, and the place was constantly crowded with customers. It's a very popular restaurant. They offer lunch sets and rice noodles, but I came here for the "Qiguo Chicken." I first tried it at a Chinese food court in Ikebukuro and got hooked. The reason was a TV show called "Matsuko's Unknown World." They don't use any water, just salt for seasoning. The essence from the chicken, ginger, wolfberries, and Chinese angelica root creates an incredibly delicious taste. Although it may look rich with floating oil, it's actually very light and flavorful. Today, I tried the Qiguo Chicken with mushrooms for the first time. Yunnan cuisine is famous for its mushrooms. The lunch comes with a drink bar. I chose jasmine tea and organic detox tea. The detox tea has a refreshing mint-like taste. Lunch menu items are served quickly, but the Qiguo Chicken takes a bit longer. It must be simmering deliciously right now. A large pot and a big ladle. The pot has a hole, making it hard to scoop. It's said to have matsutake mushrooms, but there are so many different kinds of mushrooms that I can't tell which is which. I liked the sponge-like mushrooms with a crunchy texture. The finely sliced carrot-like mushrooms were also flavorful and delicious. I added chili oil and a soy sauce with a hint of Sichuan pepper for some flavor variation and finished every bit. The tender chicken pieces provided a satisfying chew. Despite being full, I felt only kindness in my stomach, and the indigestion was gone. I wish this restaurant could open near my home.

There is a Yunnan cuisine restaurant in Yotsuya, Shinjuku. The owner is from Dalian, China, but the chef is said to be from Yunnan. So, is it authentic? I went to Yunnan eight years ago and only had the Crossing-the-Bridge Noodles, which felt authentic. The Chicken Hot Pot has a medicinal taste but also MSG. I wish they would use less MSG and let the ingredients' flavors shine more. Still, both dishes are delicious. The Small Pot Noodles have a soup base of tomatoes and mustard greens with scallion oil on top. It has a nice mellow acidity and aroma. The Firepot Beef has a rich flavor with plenty of beef and offal in a medicinal soup with a suitable ma la taste. Overall, this restaurant is worth a visit in this area.

It's good for killing time, so I visited for the second time. The daily lunch special is ¥850. Today's menu was chicken ramen with half a mapo don, almond jelly, and a drink bar included. The ramen is honestly not good. The thin straight noodles are rubbery, the soup is bland with no depth or richness, and you can't taste the flavor of the chicken at all. Even adding toppings from the table doesn't make it taste better. The mapo don is also nothing special, lacking in flavor. It's only good for killing time with the drink bar.

Food Saisai Unnan near Yotsuya-Sanchome Station on the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line. Long time no see~! Last time I came, I was defeated by the Mokumoku alien... but this time, there are no ashtrays on the table (*^◯^*) Food Saisai Unnan's summer menu includes "Cool Noodles". The cold noodles were delicious! The Morioka cold noodles looked appetizing! It's refreshing yet has a deep flavor. I also ordered the half-fried rice set for ¥900. It took a while for the food to arrive... Finally, after waiting for 23 minutes, the meal was served. I made a mistake by choosing rice noodles instead of wheat noodles. The cold noodles with ice and plenty of kimchi were delicious! It's refreshing yet flavorful. The half-fried rice was pretty average (*^▽^*) The set with almond jelly for ¥900 is a good deal!

A local Chinese restaurant near Yotsuya-Sanchome intersection. Lunch dishes are around 700-800 yen each. They offer a variety of dishes like shrimp chili, leek and liver, sweet and sour pork, mapo tofu, and sweet and sour pork. I had the black vinegar sweet and sour pork (780 yen). It was generous in portion size and comes with a drink bar. Money spent: 780 yen Rating: 3 stars 5 stars: Definitely want to visit again! 4 stars: Would like to revisit if given the chance! 3 stars: Willing to revisit. 2 stars: Once is enough. 1 star: No need to go.

A restaurant along Shinjuku Street serving Yunnan cuisine. Visited with family after going to the Fire Museum. Ordered the popular rice noodles, fried rice, and sweet and sour pork. Surprisingly, the restaurant was quite empty on a Saturday afternoon. The place was spacious and a bit empty, which made me slightly worried about the food. There was only one other group of customers, a group of Chinese ladies. As for the taste, it was decent. The hot pot rice noodles were piping hot and really warmed me up (the soup stayed hot until the end). I might want to visit again, but there are many other places in Yotsuya I want to try.

At Yotsuya Sanchome, I was looking for a place to have a late lunch and remembered Yunnan cuisine that I had been curious about for a while. I was interested in "mi xian" (rice noodles) and luckily I made it in time as there was only 30 minutes until last order. I was originally planning to try the rice noodles, but ended up ordering the fried rice noodles instead of the soup noodles. It was similar to stir-fried vermicelli, I think. The dark sauce was sweet Chinese soy sauce, but wait, it's spicy. I realized there was quite a bit of chili powder in it. The rice noodles were smooth and slippery compared to vermicelli, so I made sure to eat them with the toppings. The toppings included leeks, cabbage, bean sprouts, pork, and wood ear mushrooms. Yunnan cuisine is known for its mushrooms, and the crunchy texture of the wood ear mushrooms added a nice touch. Oh, the lunch came with free drinks. Additionally, the almond jelly dessert was delicious, although it's not shown in the photo. I noticed afterwards that you could add a mushroom hot pot soup as a cost-effective option. That sounds intriguing too. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

An off-meeting for Yunnan cuisine, a regional cuisine in the southwestern part of China, was held in Yunnan Province. The event was initially inspired by an article about Yunnan cuisine's "steam pot," which led to the discovery of a restaurant offering a "Yunnan course" (\4680) that included the steam pot. Despite facing challenges with late responses and prior commitments, the event managed to gather participants and proceed as planned. Yunnan cuisine has been a popular choice for gatherings, with previous events focusing on hot pot dishes and cultural learning experiences. This time, the meal consisted of Mountain Delicacy Steam Pot and Cross Bridge Rice Noodles, both served efficiently and at the perfect timing. The dishes were flavorful, with a slight spiciness that was enjoyable without being overwhelming. The group expressed interest in exploring more Asian and international cuisines in future gatherings, impressed by the quality and affordability of the restaurant. The bustling atmosphere and quick turnover of customers further highlighted the restaurant's success, earning it a recommendation for future visits.

I saw a colorful Yunnan dumpling on Twitter and thought it looked delicious, so I went to try it. The Yunnan dumplings are called "Sai Dumplings" and come in three varieties. You can order all three for just 1000 yen. The flavors are: Jade (pork and mushrooms), Crimson (beef and onions), and Orange (pork, shrimp, egg, and chives). Each dumpling has a strong and savory flavor, not the crispy type that you can eat a lot of. They are rich and flavorful dishes. There is a drink bar with unlimited oolong tea, jasmine tea, coffee, and juice, which is amazing.

I was amazed by the Yunnan cuisine course I ordered. Each dish, from homemade ham to tofu dishes to fish dishes, had a perfectly balanced flavor and seasoning. The quality of ingredients and a hint of spiciness were just like the authentic taste of Yunnan cuisine. The price was very reasonable, making it a great value for money. Yunnan province in China, known for its abundant variety of ingredients, offers fresh vegetables and mushrooms all year round. The restaurant I visited had a taste closer to Sichuan cuisine, but it still captured the essence of Yunnan cuisine. The course menu exceeded my expectations, with each dish served individually, starting with a warm soup that refreshed me and prepared me for the rest of the meal. The homemade ham was delicious, and the meat, tofu, fish, and vegetable stir-fry were all surprisingly tasty. The dishes may look ordinary, but the seasoning and cooking techniques were perfect. I initially expected only the chicken and rice noodles dish to be outstanding, but every dish turned out to be of high quality. For the price, this restaurant in Yotsuya-Sanchome, near Shinjuku and Akasaka, is definitely worth a visit. I found a great restaurant.
