I ordered the Large Shrimp Spring Roll Set for 1,980 yen. The set included:
- A light and mild Daikon Soup with glass noodles
- Shrimp and steamed tofu with a light soy sauce
- Stir-fried pork mince and eggplant in soy sauce
- Large shrimp spring rolls filled with vegetables, glass noodles, and plenty of shrimp. The shrimp was firm and the taste was delicious, with a crispy and lightly salty flavor. It was a generous portion and well worth the price.
- The side dish was a radish similar to sashimi accompaniments, along with a seriously spicy sauce. Be careful, it's quite spicy!
- The dessert was a Panna Cotta, which was delicious.
Overall, the dishes were light and mildly flavored, making them easy to eat even without rice. The only downside was the long wait due to understaffing, with one waitress handling everything from seating to payment.

Asagaya has many delicious authentic Chinese restaurants, but the one I had for lunch was amazing! The shrimp spring rolls were crispy on the outside and had a juicy shrimp filling. Then I had seafood yakisoba with a thick savory sauce, fried noodles, and lots of seafood. It was so hot that I almost burned myself on the squid (lol), but it was delicious. It's a bit pricey, but it's worth it to feel happy from lunchtime onwards.

About a 3-minute walk from Asagaya Station, this Chinese restaurant had caught my attention for a while. I visited for lunch on this day. The lunch set menu was quite extensive, making it hard to decide. There were 6 daily lunch specials in the 1000 yen range, set menus, course meals, and a la carte options. I chose the Special Lunch for 2400 yen, which is for 2 people. The meal included: - Today's appetizer - Boiled chicken (served quite cold) - Stir-fried vegetables - Dim sum - Crunchy shrimp spring rolls with bean paste sauce - Seafood and meat dumplings in soup - Pork shumai - Xiao long bao - Daikon radish cake - Chicken simmered noodles - Dessert: Coconut Bavarois with mountain ash sauce The dishes were all delicious, even though there wasn't much explanation provided. The daikon radish cake was especially tasty. It's nice when simple things are so delicious. Just a note, the presentation wasn't very careful, so I arranged the dishes before taking photos.

Hmm... The exterior of the restaurant and the prices didn't match up with the taste. As you can see in the photos, the presentation was a bit lacking... The noodles were spilling out. It wasn't necessarily bad, but I felt like frozen tantanmen noodles from a certain brand were tastier. The cost performance is not good, right? The other dish that my companion ordered was also disappointing in taste.

Sun Chinese restaurant has three locations in Tokyo, with one in Asagaya. It is located right in between JR Asagaya Station and Marunouchi Line Minami-Asagaya Station on Nakasugi Street. The entrance is not very wide, but the restaurant has a deep interior that can accommodate nearly 40 people at tables. The lunch menu is popular among housewives, with a variety of options available. Today, I felt like having noodles, so I ordered the Beijing-style hot and sour soup noodles. The flavor is slightly strong, but the combination of shrimp, squid, wood ear mushrooms, cilantro, and tangy soup with thin noodles is excellent. During lunchtime, even a single item comes with a dessert. The service is decent, and Sun in Asagaya is considered the best authentic Chinese restaurant in the area. It would be a top choice for a Chinese dining experience in this neighborhood.

This is a Chinese restaurant located in Minami-Asagaya. It is run by a top-class chef, Mr. Sun, and has three branches in Tokyo. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very relaxed, and the customers are mostly older. I couldn't decide on the daily special menu, so I opted for the clay pot cooked soba from the a la carte menu.
- Chicken and vegetable clay pot cooked soba: The vegetables, dried shiitake mushrooms, and chicken are finely sliced. The soup is salt-based with a hint of pepper. The overall taste is light, with a slightly strong saltiness. The dish remained piping hot until the end due to being served in a clay pot. I broke into a sweat by the time I finished eating. This is a dish you'd want to have on a cold day. A mango pudding dessert was included, which was a pleasant surprise. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this restaurant in Asagaya for lunch during work. The atmosphere inside was very calm, and it seemed like a place suitable for both locals and business people. I ordered the lunch set, which included braised pork in black vinegar and shrimp and tomato stew. It came with soup and appetizers before the main dish, and the total cost was around 2000 yen. The dishes were overall subtly flavored, but it actually enhanced the natural taste of the ingredients.

Tantanmen, 1150 yen. The noodles were firm, thin, and had a unique twist, very delicious. The numbing sensation was refreshing and pleasant. The soup had a good umami flavor and just the right amount of spiciness. A tantanmen that I really enjoyed.

I had lunch there. I ordered noodles but they lacked flavor and were not worth the price.

I heard that the Chinese restaurant I used to frequent in Akasaka had moved to Asagaya, and I finally got a chance to visit the new location. The appetizer assortment was average, shark fin and yam soup was okay, crab meat and egg white stir-fry was recommended, the fried chicken was really good, the ankake yakisoba was okay, the ankake-style yakisoba was average, the dessert assortment was average. It was nice to have the fried chicken from this restaurant again after a long time - it was delicious.

I didn't know this, but the owner's grandson is actually a pretty famous chef. I tried the 3,500 yen course with all-you-can-drink option and ended up paying just over 5,000 yen in total. The sauce in dishes like the shrimp chili had a rich flavor which was really nice. The chicken soba served at the end was just the right amount to finish the meal. While the portion size was a bit small, the overall high-quality feel for the price left me satisfied.
