I always have eel here at Fukinuki. I had the lunch set with bamboo, which was crispy and fluffy, making me truly happy. The eel costs 2,200 yen and the bamboo costs 3,400 yen. The tea is also delicious, with a rich flavor reminiscent of gyokuro. Thank you for the delicious meal.

It was quite crowded near the day of "Doyo Ushi". I visited a shop inside Akasaka Sacas for the first time. It took about 20 minutes from ordering to steaming. The food was delicious just like the main branch. I ordered Hitsumabushi, and since they usually serve a lot of rice, I asked for a smaller portion.

The first floor of Akasaka Biz Tower is conveniently connected to Akasaka Station on the Chiyoda Line. This time, I had the lunch menu of hitsumabushi! The eel was tender and juicy, and the sauce had just the right amount of sweetness and richness, making it delicious to eat.

We used it for a lunch meeting after a conference. They said the private room was reserved, but they kindly provided us with a discreet seat. Some of us chose hitsumabushi and others chose aino seju for lunch. It was great to be able to enjoy the taste of a famous restaurant for lunch! We would love to use it again. Thank you very much!

Lunch was ordered at Unagi Take for 2980 yen. The atmosphere is clean and new, but the interior design is a bit like a fancier Ootoya, which slightly lowers the excitement. The eel was brought out fairly quickly. It was thick and delicious, especially when topped with sansho pepper. The portion size of the eel was not very large, and it was quickly finished. I wonder how the smaller size ume eel would be like... I ordered tea for my drink, and they replaced it when it got cold, but only once. After that, they didn't replace it even when it was empty. All of this for 2980 yen. Hmm, the cost performance is average. Maybe I should have ordered the hitsumabushi instead...

I visited the restaurant Akasaka Fukinuki in Biz Tower for the first time. I arrived a little after 11 am and the place was already quite busy, possibly due to the Harry Potter effect. I had to sit at a cramped counter. I ordered the Hitsumabushi for 2500 yen. It was delicious, but nothing out of the ordinary. It left me feeling a bit unsatisfied. I probably won't actively seek to visit again.

My cousin offered to treat me to dinner, so we went to Akasaka tonight. He asked me what I wanted to eat, and then took me to this high-class eel restaurant called Fukikan Biz Tower. The place was quite fancy and not somewhere I would usually go. He asked me what I wanted to eat, so I requested beer and hitsumabushi. He ended up choosing the most expensive type of eel for us. I tried to decline and said the cheaper option was fine, but he insisted because he had received a big bonus. He also recommended craft beer, so we ended up ordering two different kinds. The hitsumabushi was amazing! It had double layers of eel, and I was so impressed that I shook hands with my cousin. We followed his instructions and first tried it plain, then added condiments, and finally poured the broth over it. We even finished what my aunt left behind. It made me realize that my aunt is getting older... We decided to see each other more often from now on and parted ways. My cousin and I are planning to go out in Akabane next time. Thank you so much for the wonderful meal.

This time, I visited Tokikura at Akasaka BIZ Tower. For lunch, I tried the regular menu Ohitsumabushi Take for 5,200 yen. The surface is covered with eel. For the first bowl, I ate it as it is. It was delicious, just like unagi-don. For the second bowl, I added condiments. The wasabi added a nice kick, and the seaweed and green onions added depth of flavor. For the third and fourth bowls, I had it as una-chazuke. Ohitsumabushi is best enjoyed as una-chazuke with dashi, and it's a perfect way to finish the meal. I was very satisfied!

There are many unpleasant things in the world, so a relaxing moment in this stressful society is much needed. By the way, the mixed eel dish here is delicious. Last time, I was in a rush and ended up gobbling down my lunch, so I decided to have a revenge lunch at the same place. This time, I had plenty of time, and the "Lunch Hitsumabushi" was three times more delicious. The refreshing taste of the sauce didn't quite match the hitsumabushi, or maybe the grilling of the eel didn't quite match... I personally prefer the eel bowl. However, it was still delicious enough!

Last time, I was in a rush and ate quickly, so I decided to have a rematch lunch. I arrived around 11:30 and didn't have to wait to be seated. This time, I had more time, so I tried the "Lunch Hitsumabushi" which was recommended on the table for beginners. I only had to wait about 10 minutes. Hmm... Personally, I prefer Hitsumabushi with a slightly burnt and sweet sauce on the eel because I think it brings out the flavor and aroma. The eel at Tomikiya didn't have that burnt flavor and was more on the lighter side, so I actually prefer the Hitsumabushi in a box. I'll go for that next time.

Accompanied by my mother, we enjoyed a performance at Akasaka Kabuki Theater (Shichinosuke was fantastic!), and had a late lunch around 3 o'clock. There are many lovely restaurants in the Biz Tower. Among them, the main branch of that high-end (for us commoners) Fukinukiya restaurant welcomed us with a bright and inviting atmosphere dominated by white. It was rare to find a spacious seating arrangement in a building in the city center. The lunch option of grilled eel over rice was available on a holiday for a reasonable price in the 2,000 yen range. I was worried if it was a smaller portion due to the price, but it turned out to be a full serving of eel. With this price, I would be willing to travel from my hometown of Urawa to dine here! Just note that this affordable lunch option of grilled eel is not available on Sundays, so be aware of that.

I casually stopped by for the first time. The food was easy to eat and delicious, not too soft or too crispy. The texture seemed to appeal to a wide range of preferences. They also had grilled white fish on the menu. I personally liked it and would like to go back again! Takeout is cheaper and recommended!

Good evening. This is lily_c. I wanted to eat hitsumabushi, so I found this restaurant in Akasaka-Mitsuke. It was crowded during lunchtime on Saturday. The hitsumabushi was elegant and reasonably priced. I recommend it.

At 18:30, without a reservation, I visited an eel restaurant and decided to try their eel bowl. They had a very large bonsai tree that caught my eye, but when I asked the staff, it turned out to be fake, which was funny. The eel bowl was delicious! The eel was fluffy and the liver was light and not overpowering. I really enjoyed it and would love to visit their main store someday since it seems like a long-established place.

I visited for lunch! Fukinuki, which had been scheduled to open for a long time. Finally, I was able to visit with a colleague. I chose the lunch eel bowl! At lunch, you get one piece of eel, but being able to enjoy a plump, melting eel for 2000 yen is very satisfying! The fluffy eel and sauce are also delicious! It feels like a great deal for 2000 yen. I would like to visit again for another special lunch. Thank you for the meal!

Blog: Hangover Meal Instagram ● Akasaka Fukikitsuran Biz Tower Store
Hello, it's Hangover Meal here. I heard that a new eel restaurant called "Fukikitsuran" has opened in the Biz Tower at Akasaka Sacas, so I decided to go and check it out. Fukikitsuran is a well-known eel restaurant located a little further down from the Biz Tower. It's great news that they have opened a branch at the Biz Tower! The restaurant is newly opened and everything looks clean and nice. There are private rooms at the back of the table seating area.
Menu:
- Eel Rice Chrysanthemum: 6200 yen
- Eel Rice Pine: 4800 yen
- Eel Rice Bamboo: 3800 yen
- Eel Rice Plum: 2800 yen
- Lunch Eel Rice: 1980 yen
- Lunch Hitsumabushi: 2500 yen
The lunch menu is reasonably priced. For this visit, I decided to go all out and ordered the Chrysanthemum eel rice.
After a short wait, the eel rice was served. It looked delicious with three generous pieces of eel! The eel is so plentiful that the bottom two pieces already cover the rice, making the top piece seem like a bonus. And the fact that the liver is included at no extra charge is a nice touch, as many places charge extra for it. When you take a bite, you can feel the fluffy texture of the eel. The slightly thin but flavorful sauce blends well with the rich eel fat, making it delicious. It's a perfect match with the rice. The eel is steamed well and not overly grilled, giving it a refreshing taste. The sauce is light, allowing the deliciousness of the eel to shine through, making it very easy to eat.
The lunch eel rice has a slightly different presentation but is also delicious. However, the Chrysanthemum eel rice was more flavorful and satisfying. The lunch eel rice is a good option if you want a quick eel meal for 1980 yen.
As I was leaving, I asked about the original Fukikitsuran restaurant, and I was told that it will continue to operate. It's great to have another restaurant where you can enjoy affordable and tasty eel dishes, as well as high-quality eel with a larger portion. Another great addition to the dining options!

It may not be the best cost performance for lunch, so it could be good for business entertaining.

I had a luxurious unagi (eel) rice bowl for lunch. I didn't have to wait long before it was served. It was delicious with a nice touch of sansho (Japanese pepper).
