In Akihabara UDX, a new branch of the restaurant "Mantenken" from Kinshicho, known for their red sea bream ramen, opened on October 22nd. The original Kinshicho branch has multiple locations in Shibuya and Higashiyonchome. The Akihabara branch is located on the 2nd floor food court of UDX, just a 2-minute walk from Akihabara Station. The menu includes duck ramen in soy sauce or salt flavors, with options for duck chashu and duck ramen rice porridge sets. I tried the duck ramen in soy sauce and found it to be delicious, with a rich and flavorful broth made from duck and water, and a special foie gras oil. The noodles were firm and the duck chashu was smoked and cooked at a low temperature, complementing the soup perfectly. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

At the end of the three-day weekend, I decided to try a ramen shop in Akihabara that I had never been to before, so I went to the Ramen Gekijo on the 2nd floor of UDX. It was a food court style, and after some hesitation, I ordered the special salt ramen from Manteiken today. (1,400 yen) The soup was simple but had a rich flavor, and the juicy duck meat was great. The noodles were a bit too slippery and didn't seem to blend well with the soup, which was disappointing. I think next time I'll try the soy sauce ramen.

The refreshing cold noodles were delicious. However, the ramen looked more appetizing, so I regretted not ordering that instead. I think it would have been even tastier if I had eaten it during the peak of summer.

The special duck soy sauce and soup are highly praised, but the noodles are also delicious with a firm texture and a strong wheat flavor. The meat portion is generous. Although it is not cheap, the atmosphere of the food court-like interior may seem cheap, but I used to avoid it. However, now I think it's a hidden gem where you can enjoy delicious ramen without waiting in line.

This is a popular branch of a restaurant in Kinshicho that has also won awards on Tabelog. Please forgive my ignorance when ordering. You purchase a ticket at the machine by the entrance, then go to the shop to place your order. You can choose your favorite seat, sit down, and wait for your number to be called. The basic salt ramen comes with two slices of duck chashu and two chicken thigh chashu cubes. I noticed a nice aroma, which turned out to be yuzu peel grated on top for a colorful touch. The noodles are thin and straight. The soup is slightly cloudy. When you take a bite, you can feel the presence of collagen. The flavor is on the rich side. The chashu is so good that it could be the main dish in a set meal! It's a nice choice for lunch on a hot day.

I usually go to a shop in Kinshicho, but there is a popular shop where you have to wait in line even before opening time! I love the rich duck soup that is particular about duck and water, and I feel like eating it regularly, but it's tough to wait in line in the summer... I really want to eat it soon... When I was thinking about it, I suddenly found myself in UDX! Even when other restaurants are full, I can always get into Ramen Gekijo without waiting in line. I thought I had to go, so I went after 12 o'clock, but the food court was empty. What a surprise. I enjoyed the delicious food without waiting in line...! I will definitely go back.

Special cold duck soba... 1490 yen. The soup was also cold, so the oil solidified and the flavor became a bit dull. I recommend eating it normally instead of cold. The soup is made from 100% duck and water, extracting essence from 40 ducks for over 6 hours. The duck chashu is carefully cooked and smoked in the store. The noodles are medium straight noodles. The luxurious taste is enhanced with special oil extracted from foie gras. Please try the deep and rich flavor of duck ramen. June 14th, 15:58.

I had a 1 pm appointment at UDX on a weekday and arrived at Akihabara Station at 12:15. I didn't have much time, so I looked for a place to eat inside UDX. I found a ramen specialty food court where I could buy a meal ticket without waiting in line. I chose the special duck ramen (salt flavor) for 1200 yen, which was a bit expensive but worth it. The ramen had a rich chicken broth flavor and exceeded my expectations. There was a beer server on the table, making it seem like a fun place to hang out at night. I ate too much and felt sleepy in the afternoon.

Swing your arm, take the broth, one-two munchy! Don't stop and let it simmer~! Munchy, munchy!! Located in Kinshicho, the renowned restaurant "Mankokken (3.75)" opened in January 2016 as the second brand of "Madai Ramen Menyo (3.98)" which opened in Kinshicho. They specialize in duck ramen with a pure soup made of duck and water, and their chashu is also made of duck. They have been selected as one of the Top 100 Ramen Shops in 2019 and 2020. Currently, they have expanded to operate 6 stores including this one. By the way, Menyo has 7 stores. Recently, I tried the Madai Ramen at Menyo, so this time I tried the duck ramen at Mankokken! Mankokken, Menya Keiko, and Menyo all have several ticket machines in common. I chose Mankokken and ordered the duck ramen on the top left (980 yen). Once you purchase your ticket, the order is automatically sent to the kitchen, so pour yourself a glass of water and wait at your seat. When your number is called, go pick up your order. It's been a while since I had duck ramen! The clear soup with two types of duck meat and komatsuna. On top of the duck meat in the center, there is yuzu paste. The soup has square-cut white leeks floating in it. It looks like the duck ramen I had before, but with subtle differences. The soup made with only duck and water has a light flavor. The medium-thin straight noodles are slippery due to the low water content. When you bite into the pink duck meat cooked at a low temperature, the flavor of duck spreads in your mouth along with the aroma of yuzu. The crunchy komatsuna (Edo vegetables?) also tastes delicious. I finished the soup to the last drop and it was satisfying!

I'm very happy that there are two types of chashu. The ajitama, despite its color, had a delicious flavor that wasn't too strong. I ordered the shio ramen and it had a nice yuzu fragrance. The noodles were between medium and thin, easy to eat and tasty, but they were a bit lukewarm. I prefer my noodles to be hotter. Personally, I would have liked the noodles to be a bit thicker or thinner. However, Akihabara has a lot of hearty ramen options, so this place is quite unique. I'd like to try the shoyu ramen next time.

I thought the duck ramen shop in Hongo had closed, but it turns out they have opened a new branch at the UDX Ramen Food Court. When I went there, I also saw a new shop called Men Gyo serving Tai ramen. I hesitated for a moment but decided to try the duck tsukemen at Mankokken for 970 yen. I waited at my table until my ticket number was called, then picked up my order and sat down. The noodles were thicker than I expected for tsukemen, but they had a good firm texture and smoothness. The dipping broth was a duck soy sauce that paired well with the firm Chinese noodles. I still think duck noodles are best enjoyed in this style (tsukemen, duck soy sauce), but if I had to choose between Chinese noodles or soba, I would lean towards soba based on my personal preference.

I visited a ramen restaurant called "Mankokken Akihabara UDX Akihabara Ramen Theater Store" in the food court area on the 2nd floor of Akihabara UDX, just a 2-minute walk from Akihabara Station, on a holiday in February 2023 around 11 o'clock. I chose "Ginger Soy Sauce Ramen" for ¥980 at the ticket machine. I waited for about 10 minutes until my number was displayed on the monitor inside the store. I received my dish and brought it to a table to eat. It was disappointing that there were no seasonings on the table in the food court style. The Ginger Soy Sauce Ramen with green onions, ginger, and duck meat didn't look very appealing. When I tried it, the duck broth and ginger flavor matched well in the soy sauce soup. However, the temperature was not ideal. It felt a bit low due to the food court style, which made me notice the firmness of the noodles. Nevertheless, the base soup was delicious, so it was still enjoyable. The noodles had a good texture and were just the right thickness to complement the soup. The juicy duck meat was a unique and delightful addition. I could taste the quality of the ingredients in this soy sauce ramen. The generous amount of crunchy green onions was a nice touch. The moderately-sized Ginger Soy Sauce Ramen left me wanting to savor the soup even after finishing the noodles and toppings. However, I felt that the price of ¥980 was a bit high. It may be understandable due to the location in a commercial building's food court, but the lack of satisfaction in terms of seasonings and temperature made it hard to justify the price.

I visited Mankaraiken in Akihabara, which is known for its special duck ramen. The restaurant was quiet with only a few customers, but the quality of the ramen was high. The duck broth was light and flavorful, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The special toppings added a luxurious touch to the dish. Overall, despite a slight price increase, I was satisfied with the delicious duck ramen. I hope the restaurant continues to thrive in the future.

I have been to UDX near Akihabara Station several times, and this time I decided to go again because I was feeling a bit hungry. I checked out the food court on the second floor, which used to be like a bar before, but now it has turned into a ramen shop. There were three shops, two ramen shops and one Chinese restaurant I think. The shop at the back was closed. There was a ticket machine near the entrance, and it seemed to be shared by both ramen shops. I ordered the duck tsukemen from the machine. The data was automatically sent from the machine, so I didn't need to hand over the ticket. A number was displayed on the monitor, so I went to pick up my order. The soup was quite rich in color. I could taste the sweetness and the duck broth. It went well with the yuzu. The flavor was quite strong, but dipping the noodles in the soup halfway made it taste even better. The large-cut green onions added a slightly burnt flavor that complemented the duck well. It was delicious. Since the main store of Mankara is usually crowded, I thought this place was a hidden gem. I went on a weekday at 8 p.m., and since it's a food court, there were plenty of seats available, so I could eat right away. Next time, I want to try the salt ramen, but I'm also curious about the oil ramen.

I happened to have ramen at Mankitoriken in the area on the 2nd floor of UDX in Akihabara, which looks a bit like a food court. Since I had been to the main store of Mankitoriken in Kinshicho once and tried the foie gras ramen, this time I had the special duck shoyu ramen. The unique sweetness of the soup comes from the duck broth or the sweetness of the soy sauce, I couldn't tell which, but it was a rich umami flavor with a mellow sweet soy sauce taste. The duck, which seemed to be cooked at a low temperature, was really good. I enjoyed it very much! Next time, I want to try the duck ramen with salt. The main store in Kinshicho sometimes has long lines, so this shop, which is relatively quiet, is a hidden gem.

I visited the new store at Akihabara UDX called Mengeki after work, as I saw the information on Tabelog. When I arrived at the UDX 2nd floor and reached Mengeki, there were no other customers in the food court, and one of the three stores, a yakiniku restaurant, seemed to be closed. I looked at the menu on the touch panel ticket machine and decided to try the soy sauce flavor instead of the salt flavor I had tried at a branch in Hongo-sanchome before. I ordered the Chicken Ramen with the ticket machine and waited for about 7 minutes until my order number was announced. The ramen was served on a tray and I took it to a table in the food court. The bowl had a small logo on it and the soup was a transparent amber color. It had duck meat chashu, spinach, finely chopped green onions, grilled onions, and grated ginger on top. The saltiness level was 1.3, a bit on the higher side. The soup had a slightly sweet soy sauce flavor with the aroma of duck broth. The noodles were straight, medium-thin, whole wheat noodles cooked slightly firm. The duck meat chashu felt a bit cheap in terms of size and cut, but the meat itself was tender and not bad in taste. The taste of duck fat covered the soup, giving a feeling of eating duck soba. Overall, I preferred the soy sauce flavor over the salt flavor, as it felt more balanced to me. That's how my ramen experience for the day went.

On October 22, 2022, the popular TOP5000 restaurant "Mankokken" opened a new branch called "Mankokken Akihabara UDX Store" in the UDX Building just a few minutes from Akihabara Station. I visited the restaurant right away. "Mankokken" is a second brand from "Men'gyo," known for its popular red snapper ramen. The owner is a well-known figure who has appeared on TV and other media. "Mankokken" specializes in Chinese noodles with duck-based soup! The restaurant is located in a food court-style area shared by three shops, with a ticket machine outside shared by all three. At the moment, the menu offers a choice between soy sauce soup and salt soup. I tried the following dishes: - Chicken Chinese - Special salt for 1200 yen The noodles are medium-thin and straight. The soup has an elegant flavor with a clear transparency. It seems to be made from 100% pure duck soup using the same water and duck as the one in Kinshicho. It has a deep, rich broth. The noodles complement the soup well. The toppings include tender low-temperature cooked smoked duck chashu, seasoned egg, green onions, and komatsuna. The duck chashu is tender and well-seasoned, full of meaty flavor. The smoky aroma of the smoked duck adds a nice touch to the soup, and the crisp komatsuna is a nice addition. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I had Foie Gras Oil Soba. The toppings were green onions, onions, duck chashu, and foie gras, making it a luxurious oil soba. The high-quality duck meat was tender and very delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed mixing the rich foie gras with the noodles until the end. Thank you for the meal.

Soy sauce ramen + zosui for 1,200 yen. The duck broth soup is incredibly delicious. It's light but flavorful. The duck meat is plentiful, tender, and has a great taste. I want to visit this restaurant again.
