I visited this restaurant after watching a baseball game at Jingu Stadium. As the name suggests, it is a place run by a baseball enthusiast for baseball enthusiasts. Although I am not very knowledgeable about baseball, my colleagues who came with me were, so we had a great time.

For fans who love professional baseball, the luxury of being able to drink here is an unforgettable experience. The hormone (offal) is delicious, and the udon is also tasty. The great value of the extra-large jugs is the best. Please make a reservation and come here. Also, please note that only cash is accepted for payment!

Yakisoba for 790 yen, Spam onigiri (2 pieces) for 830 yen, Miso stir-fried eggplant for 530 yen, Chikuwa tempura for 430 yen, Seafood okonomiyaki for 790 yen. Located underground a little towards Shinjuku from Yotsuya-Sanchome Station on Shinjuku Street, this famous restaurant is a gathering place for baseball fans. The name of the restaurant is inspired by the popular baseball manga by Shuichi Shigeno, "Abu-san". The interior is filled with photos and goods of various professional baseball players, making it enjoyable just to look around. The dishes cover a wide range of genres, all of which are generously portioned and go well with drinks. The miso stir-fried eggplant was especially to my liking. The manager is from Okinawa, and the famous actor Makoto Ashikawa, known for his work with Takeshi Kitano, also works here, making for very entertaining conversations.

I had a high fever from WBC, so I went to the restaurant with a baseball-loving acquaintance. The entire restaurant was baseball-themed and very interesting! The food was also delicious, and we had a fun time in no time. When it was time to pay, the staff asked us which team we supported. I didn't have a favorite team, so I thought I should choose a team to support by next time.

I have been going to the izakaya Abusan since 2004. Many professional baseball people visit the restaurant! I used to be a pro wrestler until 15 years ago, so the master introduced me to various baseball people. I got to do the first pitch at the Seibu Lions game on July 11, 2007, thanks to my connections with the Seibu Lions staff I met at Izakaya Abusan! The recommended dish is Okinawan mozuku tempura because the master's wife is from Okinawa. They also serve awamori and Orion beer.

During a business trip to Tokyo, I went out drinking with a classmate who is currently on a solo assignment in Tokyo. I left the choice of the restaurant to him, and he decided on "Izakaya Abusan". I played baseball from elementary school to high school, and I absolutely love the manga by Shuichi Shigeno! I had all the volumes of Dokaben, Dai Koshien, and Ohayo K Jiro. So, I was looking forward to going to the restaurant. From the entrance of the restaurant, it was like stepping into Shuichi Shigeno's world. There were photos of famous people who had visited the restaurant, as well as baseball player uniforms displayed everywhere. Even our classmate Ichiro from our younger days had visited the restaurant. Since we didn't have a reservation, we were seated at a table by the home plate. We ordered dishes that were shown in the photos. The owner was very friendly, and we had a great conversation about baseball. Overall, if you're a baseball fan and a Shuichi Shigeno fan, this restaurant is a must-visit place to get your spirits up!

It was raining on 7/26 when I was heading home after drinking in Shinjuku Sanchome. I realized I hadn't eaten anything since the morning's bread crumbs. I ended up walking all the way to Yotsuya Sanchome. I found a place that was still open before closing time. I made it just in time as last order was soon. I ordered a shochu highball and the "Abu-san Salad" which was recommended. The jock was quite big. The salad turned out to be mainly lettuce with imitation crab sticks, dressed in sesame oil. The zosui (rice porridge) had eggs, shimeji mushrooms, and more imitation crab sticks. It seems like they really like using imitation crab sticks here.

Abu-san, long time no see! The owner and staff always treat me well. It's been about 4 years since I last brought my beautiful wife here before the pandemic. The Friday night after the state of emergency was lifted was lively, with the place fully booked at 9 PM. Tonight, there were many baseball fans gathered here! My favorite player is Katsuya Nomura. The owner's favorite player is Shigeo Nagashima.

The other day, when I was feeling hungry and wandering around Yotsuya-Sanchome, I remembered a restaurant that I had been curious about for a while and decided to stop by! This place has been in business for over 30 years and was almost full even on a weekday night! It's clear that it's a very popular place! The drinks and food were both plentiful and delicious! And the staff were friendly and fun, making me very satisfied! I will definitely visit again!

A shop where baseball fans gather! I would like to visit it once and I asked about it. There are baseball-related photos and autographs all over the store, which made me very excited. I think more people will gather during the season. I want to go again after the season starts. The owner is very friendly and easy to talk to, so I think the atmosphere of the shop is very enjoyable for baseball fans.

If you are looking to debut in Yotsuya at night, this is the place to start. A baseball-themed bar where baseball enthusiasts gather without bias towards a specific team. On the night of my visit, there was an important game where the Giants' magic number was on the line, and the monitor was showing the game. The interior of the bar is divided into table seats, tatami mats, and round tables, and walk-in customers without reservations are seated at the round tables. When I arrived around 6:30, there were already two groups of customers, and as the game heated up, the customers who were sitting separately started to naturally engage in conversation. I noticed that the staff were asking customers which game they wanted to watch on the monitor. I also saw shelves with hand-labeled videos and DVDs of recorded games, so they may be able to play more than just live broadcasts. This place seems enjoyable even if you come alone. The food and drinks are reasonably priced at this ordinary izakaya. Baseball enthusiasts will enjoy it, but even those who have never watched a game will feel excited surrounded by helmets hanging from the ceiling, posters and photos covering the walls, and player autographs written directly on the pillars. It's like taking a trip to a different world enveloped in the history of Japanese baseball and the history of this place that has been loved by fans for over 20 years. With a slightly tipsy feeling, I set off to the second bar on my journey.

I went to a shop called Abusan, where baseball fans gather! The customers inside the shop were all baseball fans! The walls were filled with lots of photos and autographs of professional baseball players. Even in the restroom. Haha, when I was there, a certain female singer was also visiting. It seems she likes baseball too. Just looking at the walls was interesting.

"A visit to the famous 'Abu-san' in Yotsuya, with the conclusion of the series nearing. Due to its location, this is a well-known spot frequented by Ohta Pro and the Takeshi Army. A place where the leader of Downtown and Ichiro once crossed paths. A favorite haunt for baseball enthusiasts. Apart from that, the food here is nothing special, just your average izakaya. The staff were playing DVDs (randomly) while I was there. That day, they were showing a heated Koshien game from the 90s (Kawaguchi vs. Fujikawa). I struck up a conversation with a customer next to me, who passionately talked about the Hanshin Tigers (and other Kansai teams) from the 80s, especially about Yano Minoru. We even exchanged business cards and I received a greeting card from them a couple of days later. Despite being in the stove league, the passion was burning hot."

A shop on the basement floor on the left side as you head towards Shinjuku from Yotsuya-Sanchome. Inside the shop is a world of Mitsuru Adachi, with signed baseball player uniforms on display. It's like a holy place for baseball fans. I've been here many times, and once again, with a big Sapporo beer in hand, I'm having lively baseball conversations, not really paying attention to what I'm eating, and quickly becoming friends with the customer next to me, which is a characteristic of this shop. I hardly remember the food, just the memories of drinking. It's also somewhat reassuring that the owner always shows me photos of my senior colleagues from university days.

After about 20 years, I entered the restaurant with an acquaintance and we first toasted with a glass of draft beer and oolong tea! We enjoyed delicious food while looking at the uniforms, photos, and goods inside the restaurant, reminiscing about the good old days and having a really fun time.

This time, we had a drinking party at a izakaya right in front of Yotsuya-Sanchome Station. We went to Abusan, a well-known place for baseball fans! It was quite crowded inside as it was dinner time. We started with some Orion beer, which is handled by the shop because the manager's wife is from Okinawa. Looking around, baseball conversations were happening everywhere, creating a great atmosphere. After toasting with the beer that arrived shortly, we ordered some dishes. In addition to Orion beer, they also offer a variety of Okinawan dishes, which were delicious. The food was tasty, the conversation was lively, and we had a great time throughout. Thank you for the meal!

At the izakaya "Motsu-ni" where baseball fans gather, the spicy hot pot dish goes well with alcohol, the hot and steamy meat tofu dish is perfect with drinks, and the sour cocktails are ordered in large quantities before you know it. In the end, you'll become good friends with the owner.
