野良パンダム
First visit. A steak bowl... no, a steak rice specialty store that has several locations in Tokyo and Yokohama. They use only non-frozen, rare Natural Beef from carefully selected female cows, excluding growth promoters and hormones. The meat is vacuum-packed and aged to enhance the flavor, then served as a simple steak bowl. Operated by Ringbell Co., Ltd. A certain "Myrevi" visited this place and it caught my attention. The shop is located in Kan'nai, so I had been thinking of going there someday, but when I looked it up, I found out that they also have stores in Shinjuku and Shibuya. Shibuya is easy to reach, so I went there quickly for a meal. The Shibuya store is a street-level store near Shibuya Station. I felt like I had been here before, it used to be Conconburu's place. Are they aiming to turn a French restaurant known for roast beef into a steak rice specialty store?! I was able to enter smoothly as soon as the evening business started, but when I was leaving, there was a line of about 10 people in front of the store. It seems to be a very popular place. Since the store has a small number of seats, it seems like you might have to wait quite a bit during peak times. Being near Shibuya Station, the customers are all young people. And the ratio of girls is extremely high!!! Why is that?! Even though steak rice sounds like a typical meal for boys... A certain meat hittsumabushi store in Shibuya also had a high ratio of girls, but I really don't understand the taste of Shibuya girls. The interior of the store is arranged with counter seats surrounding the open kitchen in a horseshoe shape. There is no place to put your belongings, but there are hooks under the counter for bags. There are no hangers to hang your coat, so it might be tough in winter. The staff at the store are all young people. But the energetic brotherly staff explained the menu in detail, which was nice. Having such energetic people makes the open kitchen look bright and nice. The menu consists only of steak rice!... or so I thought, but they also have curry, etc. Well, since it's my first visit, I'll start with the steak rice that is also the name of the store. In other words, a steak bowl. Just like at Yoshinoya, customers can customize the size and various toppings as they like. I ordered the L size steak bowl. The steak bowl has a minimum size of S with 90g of meat. After that, the meat amount increases by 40g for each size up: M -> L -> XL. So, the L size has 170g of meat. Here, you can also choose from four types of rice, but I chose white rice. And I added vegetables as a topping. Steak Rice L size with white rice (1590 yen) Small salad (150 yen) Total: 1740 yen Since the inside of the store was full, I had to wait quite a bit until the food was served. But while waiting, I saw the steak rice being taken to other customers, and it looked really delicious with all the toppings. Especially the half-cooked egg and mashed potatoes looked so envy-inducing. Oh no ( ・ั﹏・ั) Adding only vegetables as toppings might have been a mistake. The steak rice was served on a warm plate, which is great!! This is a very important point, but it is often overlooked, so it's nice to see it being done properly. The meat is lean meat without any fat content. It is cooked rare, with only the surface lightly grilled. It is seasoned with the special steak sauce of the store and served with whipped butter and fried garlic. Although there are knives and spoons on the table, the meat is cut into bite-sized pieces for easy eating, so you can just use the spoon to eat it. This ease of eating is also a high point. The meat is very lean, but it is tender and flavorful. It is clever to complement the lack of fat with whipped butter. For this price, the quality of the meat is certainly a good deal. It would have been better if the surface was a bit crispy, but it seems that this place is particular about serving tender meat. The sauce is quite sweet, which might be a matter of personal preference. Personally, I think a junky sauce like "Tepppei" would go well with this kind of lean meat, but it seems that the sweet sauce is popular with Shibuya girls. The meat hittsumabushi store on the opposite side of the station also has a sweet sauce that is like a dessert.
