It's hot! I'm thirsty! I wanted to drink a Long Island Iced Tea, so I visited this place after a long time. I sat at the counter and looked at the menu, but to my disappointment, they didn't have the Long Island Iced Tea! When I asked the staff, they said the menu had changed and they didn't have the ingredients to make it. So, I ended up ordering a Salty Dog (836 yen including tax) instead. As I sipped on my drink and looked at the menu, I realized that my favorite Bruschetta was no longer available, and there were fewer pasta options. It was quite disappointing. When I visited before, I thought this place really lived up to its name as a dark horse, but now it's not so unique anymore. To make matters worse, they charged a seating fee, and I ended up paying over 1,200 yen for just one drink. What a letdown.

Located right in the middle between Kuramae and Asakusabashi stations, this Western-style restaurant with a pasta and bar concept was a delightful find for a Saturday afternoon lunch. The atmosphere inside was reminiscent of a Western movie set, with the staff providing warm and friendly service. The menu featured two categories of pasta - classic spaghetti and new fettuccine, with around 10 options in total. I opted for the meat sauce with bacon and broccoli on thin spaghetti, which was flavorful and satisfying. The portion size was generous, and the pasta was cooked perfectly. Overall, a great dining experience with my wife on a Saturday afternoon.

Lemon sour salad, crispy cheese, mushroom meat sauce pasta. I've been here a few times in the past, but it's been a while since my last visit. The crispy cheese is a great appetizer. The pasta is cooked al dente, which I prefer. It has a rich flavor that goes well with alcohol.

I was planning to go to a restaurant for lunch, but all the places I had in mind were full or closed, so I was about to give up. Then I happened to pass by this restaurant and decided to give it a try. The entrance door was left open for ventilation, which was reassuring, but since I was seated near the entrance, it was a bit cold. I noticed they had fresh pasta on the menu, with soup pasta being a popular choice among the customers. However, I wasn't in the mood for a bowl of pasta, so I ordered the Carbonara with Spanish Ham and whole egg instead. It was served in about 3 minutes, quite fast, probably because it was fresh pasta. I didn't notice the "whole egg" on the menu, so I was surprised when the Carbonara arrived and it was different from the creamy Carbonara I had in mind. But it turned out to be unexpectedly authentic and delicious! The combination of fresh basil, salty ham, and whole egg with fettuccine was amazing. It was quite rich, so adding a salad for balance towards the end would be a good idea. I saw reviews mentioning smoking being allowed, which made me hesitant at first, but it turned out to be a great choice for a tasty pasta lunch. Thank you for the meal.

- Order: Meat sauce pasta with plenty of eggplant for 1000 yen. It was my first time visiting, so I asked for the manager's recommendation. The pasta was slightly thin, with a portion size of 270g. The sauce tasted more like Bolognese than meat sauce, with the tomatoes playing a supporting role while the flavor of the vegetables sautéed with the meat was prominent. It was delicious! I devoured it quickly. I would like to try the fettuccine next time.
- Miscellaneous: The exterior and interior have an American feel, perhaps reminiscent of the western style. The lined up bottles, ceiling fan, wooden tables, and corrugated iron walls create a nice atmosphere. It seems like a good place to enjoy some drinks. It was a shame I couldn't take any photos inside because it was crowded.

The pasta lunch includes pasta with a generous amount of sauce, pasta salad is available for an additional ¥300, and bread is available for an additional ¥50. The restaurant has an American-style interior and is known for its pasta dishes. They also have a bar, which seems promising.

After the state of emergency was lifted, the restaurant had been closed for a long time, but one day as I passed by, I saw that they had reopened. I decided to stop by and try their dish, which I believe was called something like "Salmon Peperoncino." The portion of noodles was around 200 grams, and it was so delicious that I finished it quickly. Just like the last time, it had a salty flavor, which I really liked. On another visit, I tried their rich Carbonara dish (I can't remember the exact name), but it was too rich for my taste. They have different kinds of sauces like tomato, so I would like to try other flavors in the future.

As I was strolling around Asakusabashi at night, I caught a whiff of a savory garlic scent. It seemed to be coming from a pasta restaurant. Feeling hungry, I decided to go in for dinner. The interior was dimly lit, creating a cozy atmosphere for a solo drink. I started with a highball to quench my thirst. It was a bit light for my taste, but since I was drinking alone and had to head home later, it was just right. I quickly finished it and ordered another one. Next, I tried the baked cheese, which had a deliciously crispy surface. It would go well with beer, wine, shochu, or any other drink. For my main dish, I chose the garlic oil pasta with shirasu (baby sardines) and plenty of green onions. I opted for the smaller portion of 60g, which turned out to be just enough after the highball filled me up. The flavor was as expected, with a slightly milder taste of green onions than I had hoped for. Overall, I enjoyed two Early Highball with lemon for 520 yen each, the crispy baked cheese for 530 yen, and the 60g shirasu and green onion garlic oil pasta for 630 yen, all excluding tax. The pasta menu seemed quite extensive, making it a good option for lunchtime as well.

On weekends, it's usually closed, but I happened to pass by during lunchtime on a weekday so I decided to go in. It was almost full, showing how popular it is! They allow smoking, so it felt like an oasis for smokers during lunchtime. They offer two types of pasta: fresh fettuccine and dried thin noodles. Lately, I've been having a lot of thick noodles from the Asakusa Kaikaro series, so I chose the thin dried noodles this time. I asked for the buffalo mozzarella and basil tomato sauce to be changed to arrabbiata. The flavor was strong and the portion was generous. If this place were near my workplace, I would definitely visit several times a week!

At lunchtime, I visited a restaurant with a wide variety of pasta dishes. By noon, it quickly filled up and there were even people waiting outside. Perhaps because there aren't many pasta options nearby? I ordered the carbonara lunch set with a salad on the side, and a separate drink. The noodles were thin and there was a decent amount. I don't usually eat carbonara, but this one was quite rich and flavorful, making me want to try more dishes. I think the restaurant is more focused on dinner, so I'd like to come back at night to have some beer.

After leaving the gym, I asked for lunch recommendations and was directed to this place. It had a spaghetti & bar vibe, and when I opened the door, I found myself in a semi-basement Western-style restaurant. I ordered the tomato cream pasta with rocket and tuna for 1000 yen, with an additional 100 yen for fresh fettuccine. A mini salad was promptly served, followed by the spaghetti after a 5-minute wait. The dish had a generous amount of tuna in tomato cream sauce with rocket on top. The fresh fettuccine was chewy and delicious. However, the flavor was quite intense. I initially thought about adding Parmesan cheese, but the sauce was already so strong and salty that I was glad I didn't. Perhaps the wide fettuccine noodles caused the sauce to cling too much. Overall, I found it tasty and would like to try their most popular meat sauce next time. Thank you for the meal!

I had been going to Dark Horse in Asakusabashi, but recently discovered a new fantastic restaurant in the area! Surprisingly, the variety of menu options was impressive. The chef in the small kitchen works quickly and efficiently, allowing us to enjoy our meal without unnecessary conversation. The selection of drinks was extensive, and we were completely satisfied with the quantity and taste of the food. Although smoking is allowed in all seats, it was not a problem as there were no smokers after the previous guests left, and we were able to relax comfortably. Despite being an Italian restaurant, the interior has a Western American feel, making us feel like we were in Disneyland's Adventureland. I definitely want to visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

A shop that was always nearby but never entered. Today, I saw a couple entering and decided to give it a try. The shop had a high ceiling and the staff were efficient and friendly. The menu had about 30 options of fresh pasta and regular pasta. I struggled to choose but ended up selecting the carbonara without cream. I received a small salad first, followed by the pasta in about 5 minutes. The fresh pasta was chewy and the flavor was subtle, but the combination of prosciutto and basil was just right. Overall, I found it to be a decent experience.

I found a spaghetti restaurant with an American-style exterior on a corner lot heading north from Asakusabashi towards Kuramae. It seems more casual than Italian, and I would like to revisit when I'm really hungry!
Lunch Visit in July 2018:
12:50. It was a weekday, but there was only one empty table and it was bustling! I sat at the corner of the counter near the register. The menu was quite extensive.
- Trout smoked salmon and shiitake mushroom peperoncino: 950 yen
- Lunch salad optional: 200 yen
Total: 1,150 yen
The menu indicates that the standard pasta size is 270g. I felt that was too much, so I asked for a smaller portion. I also don't like shiitake mushrooms, so I asked for half of the usual amount. The tables could seat 3-4 people, and there were 6 round tables in total. The counter seats were high chairs for 4 people. Ashtrays were available on all tables, and smoking was allowed throughout the restaurant.
The salad arrived quickly, with lettuce, sunny lettuce, tuna, corn, and tomato, dressed in a mild French dressing. It was slightly overpriced at 200 yen. The kitchen had male and female staff, with one female server. Energetic club music was playing loudly. The pasta was served in 10 minutes. Even though I asked for a smaller portion, it still looked quite large. The salmon was cooked perfectly and delicious. The seasoning was strong and oily, but I liked the pepper and herb salt flavors. The noodles were thin, probably dry noodles, and I ended up finishing the whole plate.
The customer next to me ordered clam spaghetti, but the kitchen ran out of clams and asked if they could substitute mussels. I thought that was a nice way to accommodate the customer's request. The entrance was at ground level, but the restaurant had a slightly underground feel with a step at the entrance. Overall, a good experience, and I will definitely visit again!

The pub had a cozy atmosphere and a charming vibe. I was able to secure a spot for lunchtime, but it quickly filled up. I tried the Fettuccine with Red Shrimp in Tomato Sauce (¥1,000). The pasta was delicious, with a rich and refreshing tomato sauce that complemented the fettuccine well. This seemed more like a place to enjoy with alcohol at night rather than for lunch.

I used to frequent this restaurant when I lived nearby. They have a wide variety of pasta dishes, making it difficult to choose just one. All of the pasta dishes are delicious, but I highly recommend the "Buffalo Mozzarella and Basil Meat Sauce." The waitress, a woman, always greeted us with a smile and provided excellent service, making dining there a pleasant experience.

When I was 15, I used to live in Asakusabashi and often went there for lunch by myself. At the time, I thought I was quite grown up, but looking back now, I must have stood out as a young girl on her own. The pasta was delicious and had a nice chewy texture. I would love to go back again.

I often use this restaurant near my company during lunchtime. The taste is strong and to my liking. The atmosphere inside is like a bar in rural America. It's dark at night because it's a drinking place, but I don't really like it. The service is casual, like during lunchtime. There are some staff members who come off a bit harsh, which can be confusing at times. Overall, it feels a bit rushed. I understand that they are busy, but I wish they were a bit more polite. I like the taste, so I will continue to use this restaurant in the future.
