I had a reservation at a Japanese restaurant called "Miyasaka," which is about a 5-minute walk from this bar. I had about 1 hour and 30 minutes to spare, so I decided to visit this restaurant that I had heard about before. It was around 5:30 pm on a Saturday. I walked from Route 246 to the antique street, taking about 7-8 minutes. I took the elevator down to the basement of a building, and as soon as the door opened, I was inside the restaurant. As I walked towards the back of the restaurant, I saw a "k"-shaped counter. The owner and bartender started this restaurant 33 years ago at the age of 25, and has been running it all by himself ever since. He had a very gentle demeanor and engaged in pleasant conversation. He seemed to have a high level of professionalism and a positive sense of "attention to detail." I apologized for killing time before my meal at "Miyasaka" and for not being able to drink strong alcohol, and ordered a Campari soda first. Then I asked for a whiskey highball, but he recommended a Ben Nevis Scotch highball instead, considering my upcoming meal. It was a brand that I was not familiar with, but he said it was readily available from major distributors. Lastly, I requested a cocktail. I mentioned that I wanted to avoid strong alcohol like a Martini, so he recommended a Bamboo cocktail. It is made with dry sherry and dry vermouth. It is a cocktail with a long history, but I had never heard of it before as I am not familiar with cocktails. The cocktail had a dry taste with a higher proportion of sherry, but it was not as sharp as a Martini, and the alcohol content was not as high either. It was indeed a good choice for a pre-dinner drink. Additionally, smoking cigars or cigarettes was allowed in the restaurant. I was very pleased to have found such a great restaurant.

The cocktails weren't particularly delicious, there were few options, and I didn't feel much attention to detail.

It's an adult space! It's good that they are open until 2 am around there, so it's great for having one last drink! You can leisurely look back on your day!

Continuation of Tsukiji treatment on April 30, 2018. To "BAR*JADA". "Barjada" is a basement bar located along the antique bone street. It opened on December 13, 1989, and is an authentic bar. When the elevator opens, you are already inside the shop. It's dimly lit and has a nice atmosphere. If you go to the left, you will find the counter. The scent of cigars is nice!! The fresh flowers in the back are also beautiful. It seems to be open all year round, but the master is the only one running the place!!! It feels calming for some reason. Gimlet☆Delicious~ Charm☆Pistachios and rice crackers~ Yes, please. The companion is having a non-alcoholic drink. I took a picture of the half-drunk one. The master is very friendly and lovely♪ Please recommend a Scotch! By the way, I like Islay malts. Kilchoman Machir Bay☆Established in 2005, this distillery was born on Islay Island for the first time in 124 years. The conversation is lively... I'm drinking without holding back. Manhattan☆Delicious~ Got a refill! It's out of focus but (laughs) Pistachios and... something like giant corn here! It's like a delicious version of that snack corn potage! (laughs) The taste is corn potage, but the texture is firm! What is this, it's delicious. Fresh fruit non-alcoholic cocktail☆I took a sip, and it was delicious!! I'll have a fresh fruit cocktail too! With alcohol included (laughs) There seems to be strawberry or passion fruit... Both are tempting, but this one! Fresh passion fruit cocktail☆Wow! Delicious~ You can feel the alcohol, but it goes down smoothly! Thank you for the meal.

This is a bar located across the street from the Blue Note. It has a rating of 3.53 on Tabelog, so it seems to be a well-known bar. The master has been running this place for 28 years. It has a nice atmosphere and seems easy to use. We had three cocktails recommended by the master and my friend had 3-4 drinks, and the total bill for two people was around 10,000 yen. Considering the location, it was reasonable. Jazz music was playing, but when we asked for Latin music, they played Bossa Nova for us. We will definitely visit again!

After enjoying a delicious chestnut pork gire at Roubriu, I visited this nearby restaurant. It's a place that my Italian foodie friends have been going to since their celebrity days (and still do). This was my second visit. Located in the basement of a building on the corner heading towards Nezu Museum from Kotto-dori, we ordered a watered-down Usquaebach whiskey and were pleasantly surprised by the special price for this slightly older blend. Usquaebach means "water of life" in Gaelic. The seasonal cocktail (maybe pomegranate) was delicious. The gin and tonic were also great. The owner, a veteran bartender of over twenty years on Kotto-dori, was very friendly and not at all stiff. Thanks to his personality, wonderful regular customers help create a great atmosphere at the restaurant. Unfortunately, we were a bit tipsy from opening two bottles of wine at the previous restaurant (a common occurrence), so sorry about that.

I had delicious sushi at "Masuda" and it's still too early for the 2nd show at "Blue Note Tokyo". I've always wanted to visit this place. After leaving "Masuda", I walked towards Takagi-cho on Kotto-dori, then turned left on the street of Nezu Museum and found a building right away. Inside the building was a cozy bar with about 8-9 seats at the counter. I had a Sidecar, a Daiquiri, and an Aberlour 10 years Highball, while my wife had a Boston Cooler and a Jack Rose. They were all so good. I was told that the bar has been open for 25 years, so it's a well-established place. That's probably why the cocktails are so delicious. I only knew "Bar Ho" and "Kuroi Tsuki" around here, so I'm glad I found this great bar. I will definitely visit again when I come to this area for a meal, because this bar stands out among the authentic bars in the area. I really found a great bar. Oh! It's time for the 2nd show to start, let's go to Blue Note now.

After having dinner with a female friend, she took me to this bar she knew. The place is located almost directly across from Blue Note Tokyo, on the basement floor. As you step off the elevator, you enter the bar. It's a very small bar with just a single L-shaped counter, probably not fitting more than 10 people. The Vodka Tonic and Gin Tonic I had were both sweeter than I prefer. I should have asked for them to be less sweet. Well, it might be a convenient place to know around here.

A cool bar located underground across from the Blue Note Tokyo in Minami Aoyama. Despite its cool vibe, there is a sign so it's not intimidating to enter. As soon as you go down the elevator, you'll find the bar. It's a small space with only seating for around 10 people at the counter, where a Casablanca Lily is displayed. The bartender runs the place alone in a traditional style. Even if you just drop by, you'll be welcomed. The customers are mostly men, and mostly regulars, but it doesn't feel exclusive. The customers are sophisticated. I like this kind of atmosphere at orveau. The bottles lined up behind the counter show good taste. From there, I tried a soda highball with Trois Rivières 5-year-old rum from Martinique and a straight chaser of Kilchoman single malt from Islay. Trois Rivières is a rum that you don't see often these days, with a solid and nostalgic taste. The Kilchoman is a type with a low alcohol content, which was the first release. It's easy to drink and delicious. They are also good at fruit cocktails, but there were no people drinking them this time. I was curious to see their cocktail skills. The ice is all cut from ice suppliers, and it's cut round so it doesn't get watery even at a low temperature. It's a lot of effort. All this for just over 3,000 yen. It's wallet-friendly.

A few years ago, a friend introduced me to this restaurant. By chance, I remembered it when passing by the sign after having a meal nearby. I went down to the basement in the elevator. The dimly lit interior was just the same as a few years ago. The master had a kind yet cool demeanor. The quiet atmosphere, the sound of ice being shaved. I was still naïve back then, and I thought to myself that this is where adults enjoy their drinks. I ordered a Mojito. It was my first time knowing that this is a long-established bar. Even with my partner, who is not good with alcohol, we could enjoy the bar thanks to the master's hospitality. I had forgotten about it for a few years, but now that I remembered, I feel like I will visit more frequently in the future.

There is a bar in Aoyama that has been around for 20 years, called Bar Jada. It might be the oldest bar in Aoyama, and the owner has been running it all by himself, open every day without a break. The cocktails at this bar are surely delicious, as the owner's service makes you feel like you're really drinking in Aoyama. As a bar lover, it was a great experience for me.

Taking the elevator down to the underground, a professional bartender greets you with "welcome". You sit on a high stool and let out a sigh. A Macallan soda is smoothly placed in front of you. No words are exchanged, and the bartender doesn't ask any questions. As your alcohol level rises slightly, the next customer enters. You nod slightly in acknowledgment. This bar in Aoyama is just like this. Seasonal flowers are displayed in the back, and regulars have their designated seats at the counter. The bartender Ozawa seems to enjoy American sports and music from the 80s. The few female customers present are they the "boss" or friends of regulars? It seems like love doesn't bloom in this bar. Are there any exceptions? The culture of enjoying bars seems to be fading. Those who have enjoyed a good bar experience at Jada are truly fortunate. I believe Jada isn't aiming for a perfect score.

I visited this place after seeing it on the website, and it was indeed very stylish inside, as they often film TV shows there. The owner, who has been running the place alone for years, was very nice, and I had a wonderful time. It's a great place where you can enjoy just talking to the owner when you visit alone.

I used to go to this amazing bar a long time ago. In my early twenties, when I could only drink sours, they introduced me to delicious cocktails. It was my boyfriend at the time's favorite place, so we would often go there to drink. Even when I was exhausted from work, going there to drink would make all my fatigue disappear. It was a sophisticated adult establishment. I was able to go there as a young girl thanks to my boyfriend. I am grateful. The atmosphere inside the bar was great, and I remember the owner being a lovely and honest person. The cocktails were delicious. I apologize for using a review from over 10 years ago.
