東京コロボックル
Last year, an interesting organic concept store opened in Tsukiji. What makes it interesting is that... On the first floor, there is a select shop that offers everything from natural wines to frozen foods, with a café attached. The second floor features three ambitious concepts: "Yin Yang Medicinal Hot Pot" produced by a Chinese medicine pharmacist, "Yakiniku + Natural Wine," and an "Organic Restaurant." A mysterious combination of Chinese medicine, yakiniku, and organic... When you look at their online page, you'll see that there are a wide variety of themes for the medicinal hot pot. You can even enjoy it from lunchtime if you make a reservation. The natural wine is a collaboration with the popular wine bar "Sakubidoba" in Tsukiji. When I called to confirm the last order for lunch that day, I found out they have continuous service. Well, of course, because the first floor has both a shop and a café. I didn't know there was a shop there... During the idle time, a sharply dressed male staff member was handling everything on the first floor alone. He was also managing sales in the shop, so it seemed a bit tough. I had actually done some research and was looking forward to trying the curry on the café menu, so I ordered the Sichuan medicinal curry and the medicinal green curry for sharing. They also offer medicinal ramen and organic salad bowls. I sat at the counter by the wall. What arrived was a visually healthy dish of curry with brown rice like mixed grain rice sandwiched in between. Several types of deep-fried vegetables were on top. The vegetables must be organic. The green curry was a straightforward Thai curry with the usual green curry flavor. The Sichuan medicinal curry had a delicious scent of Sichuan pepper. The spiciness was mild. Just when I thought that was it, three side dishes appeared. They included a glass noodle salad, potatoes, and purple onions, a small amount but a nice addition. Just when I thought that was it, they also served a non-caffeine medicinal tea. All of this for 1,100 yen is quite reasonable. After eating, I was shown the second floor, which had a surprisingly calm atmosphere. There were customers having a lively medicinal hot pot in a semi-private room, probably for a lunchtime girls' gathering. On the first floor, there were Basque cheesecakes and additive-free sweets available, and upon closer inspection, there was a 2,200 yen option for a 2-hour all-you-can-drink wine and tea. The store was unexpectedly spacious, and as I explored further, I found a select shop offering everything from frozen foods to natural wines, sweets, seasonings, and even T-shirts. An organic complex that can cater to the needs of those who are greedy for variety. That's why this store is so interesting.
