Purpose of visit: The selection of this restaurant was good and the results were satisfactory, but a few days later there was a major setback, so I decided to revisit for revenge (bitter smile). 2. Shop information: Genre on Tabelog: Gyoza. The shop opened on August 9, 2022. It is the first Tokyo branch of "Yisailiu Xiang," a Chinese home cooking restaurant based in Takatsuki, Osaka, known as the most difficult to reserve in Japan. They make gyoza from scratch in the shop's lab, allowing customers to enjoy the taste and texture of popular gyoza from the main store in a casual setting. Business hours: Weekdays 11:30-14:00, 17:00-22:00; Saturdays 11:30-22:00; Sundays and holidays 11:30-21:00. Closed on: None. Seating capacity: 27 seats. 3. Crowdedness and atmosphere: Visited around 11:30 on a weekday, no previous customers and 4 customers arrived later. As a new shop, it is bright, clean, and has a lovely atmosphere. There are drawers at the tables where paper napkins are stored! 4. Customer service: Service was according to the manual. 5. Lunch■ -Daily Special- Today's "Wasteful Gyoza" Set for ¥1,000 (tax included) Have you heard of a Chinese home cooking restaurant in Osaka where reservations for a whole year can sometimes be fully booked in just one day? Located in Settsu Tomita, Osaka, "Yisai Liuxiang" (currently closed for relocation?). However, you can easily visit "Yisai Liuxiang Gyoza Kitchen Ebisu" opened in Ebisu, Tokyo in August 2022 without the need for reservations. "Yisai Liuxiang Gyoza Kitchen Ebisu" specializes in the popular gyoza from "Yisai Liuxiang". Just a 3-minute walk from Ebisu Station, the stylish glass-fronted appearance of the restaurant is far from what you'd expect from a Chinese restaurant. I visited during lunchtime on a weekday with only 2 groups of customers ahead. I ordered the daily special menu, "Today's Wasteful Gyoza Set", which offers gyoza at a great value that were uneven during the manufacturing process. The gyoza of the day was the signature "Crystal Gyoza". Arriving in about 10 minutes, the gyoza had a translucent skin, as the name suggests. The skin is made from wheat flour and katakuriko, giving it a crystal-like transparency. The set includes 8 easy-to-eat bite-sized crystal gyoza. The unique chewy texture of the skin is interesting, and the filling packed with the flavors of vegetables and pork is delicious. I easily finished about 12 pieces. The set also comes with 2 Chinese side dishes, and the rice is cooked with dashi, giving it a colored appearance. The rice has a strong sesame flavor. The Ebisu store seems to have plenty of availability for entry, contrary to the "reservation-difficult gyoza" in Osaka. I visited a restaurant where you can eat unique crystal dumplings! I wanted to eat a lot of dumplings and I was not disappointed! I had a lot of delicious homemade dumplings that were refreshing. Especially, the recommended crystal dumplings at the restaurant were a combination of chewy and crispy skin, allowing you to enjoy both textures. It was very delicious, like a mix of fried dumplings and steamed dumplings! Thank you for the meal!

Last week, the King's Brunch featured a special on Crystal Dumplings, 12 pieces for 1760 yen. They also introduced steamed dumplings with four different fillings for 600 yen (although the skin was a bit torn). It was mentioned that the dumplings are wrapped by a machine. I visited on Wednesday at 12:12, and the seating rate was about 80% at the counter seats and around 40% at the two table seats. Prior to this, I had eaten chilled tantan noodles at Masaz Kitchen, and decided to have dumplings here for a lunch combo. The interior of the restaurant looks new and clean, with a stylish cafe-like design. I ordered the "Mottainai" Lunch special for 1000 yen, which included Crystal Dumplings. This lunch special offers imperfect dumplings at a lower price, which explained why the dumplings from King's Brunch had torn skins. When asked if I wanted a full portion, I said yes, and it turned out to be 1.5 portions. I thought the rice portion was small, but when I saw the neighboring person's bowl, it was actually smaller, so I ordered a normal portion. After about 10 minutes, the lunch arrived, served on a wooden platter with two appetizers, soup, dashi rice, and 8 pieces of Crystal Dumplings. The presentation was more like a cafe than a dumpling shop, very stylish. The Crystal Dumplings were transparent when turned over, with a chewy skin and a flavorful filling including shrimp. It had an elegant taste, although slightly bland for my preference, so I dipped it in sauce and even tried one in the soup. The total bill was exactly 1000 yen, and I was able to pay with a card.

I had been intrigued by the reviews saying that this place in Osaka is popular and reservations fill up quickly! The restaurant was not crowded when I visited on a weekday after 7 pm, probably because it was during the Obon period. The chic interior with a wood base gives off a stylish vibe, perfect for a girls' night out. The prices mainly range from 650 yen to 750 yen. I tried the most popular crystal dumplings, as well as the pan-fried dumplings (beef and celery) and steamed dumplings (filled with shrimp). My favorite was the drooling chicken, the spicy sauce was so delicious that I wanted to eat three times as much. The shrimp mayo on hanpen was also tasty. While the dumplings didn't quite match my personal taste, and the prices seemed a bit high for the portion size, I thought it would be a nice second stop if looking for a good atmosphere.

I used it for lunch. Honestly, my opinion may be the opposite of what other people are saying, so maybe my ordered menu was not good. The atmosphere is very nice and clean, but the dumplings had very thick skin and felt like eating a small meat bun (although more chewy). It's not to my liking and I didn't find it delicious. If I have the chance to go again, I might order a different menu.

I was born in Tokyo and raised in Tengenji, and I'm a bit of a troublemaker, mostly a high school student at a cram school. In the past few years, with the remote work environment, I rarely have to go to the office, so I've been exploring lunch spots within a 1km radius of Hiroo Garden Hills on my electric bike. This is the gyoza restaurant that I have liked the most in recent years. I've heard that the main store in Takatsuki, Osaka, is always crowded and difficult to make a reservation, but the lunch at the Ebisu store is quite empty, to be honest. I highly recommend this place, especially for the active ladies in Hiroo! The lunch on this day was the famous crystal gyoza and water gyoza set, as shown in the photo. I always go for this. I am very satisfied with it. - The small side dishes are refreshingly delicious. - The soup is a tomato soup with just the right amount of acidity. - The recommended crystal gyoza is a crystal-clear, crispy and chewy dough with a filling that includes shrimp. - The water gyoza (I like the squid and pork) has a solid and satisfying texture. A serving of 8 pieces (1200 yen) is enough for a woman to feel full! I go for the large serving set of 12 pieces (1500 yen). By the way, the weekday lunch is a great deal with a set of irregularly shaped pan-fried gyoza that are wasted during production, starting from 1000 yen (-200 yen). Anyway, the highlight here is the crystal-clear, crispy and chewy dough of the crystal gyoza, and the water gyoza where you can choose from various fillings. I want to try both, so I opt for the greedy set that allows me to eat both (even though there are only these two simple menu items). The gyoza here is light and refreshing, which may be why the place is always full of female customers. The restaurant may not be well-known yet, as it is still empty, but it deserves to be more crowded! It's a truly recommended place. Also, another super popular restaurant with long lines in Kansai, "Gyoza Infantry," recently closed down after a few years... The taste is delicious, so I don't want this place to disappear, so everyone please come! But I don't want it to be too crowded either... Thank you for the meal.

Located a 3-4 minute walk from Ebisu Station towards Shibuya, on a narrow road just west of Meiji Street, is a casual Chinese restaurant. The main branch is in Takatsuki, Osaka, and is quite difficult to make a reservation at, but this is its sister restaurant. I visited around 6:30 pm on a Sunday. I didn't make a reservation, but about half of the customers were there, so I was able to easily walk in. There is a counter, small tables next to it, and a larger table for four in the back. Since I had eaten before, I ordered the famous crystal dumplings, chilled cucumber with sansho miso, and Chinese jellyfish with dashi. I also ordered a craft ginger sour, which was delicious with a strong ginger flavor. The crystal dumplings were a bit small and slightly crispy on one side. The filling consisted of minced meat, shrimp, and cabbage, each with their own distinct flavors. The cabbage was also present and the meat juice had a savory broth-like flavor, making it delicious. I would like to try other dumplings as well and I'm curious if the Osaka branch is even more delicious.

2023 6/6, I decided to explore new restaurants around Ebisu, and what better choice than gyoza, right? So I came to this place around noon, and luckily got a table right away. The place quickly filled up, and there was a line forming. I was fortunate with the timing. The restaurant had a unique style of providing chopsticks and other utensils in a drawer at each table. I decided to order the Crystal Gyoza set, which came with a variety of gyoza including pork, squid, and shrimp (I'm not a fan of cilantro, by the way). I also ordered a beer, opting for the Ebisu beer mini, which was surprisingly served in a smaller glass than expected. I was impressed by the presentation of the gyoza in the set. The round shape of the gyoza was unique and they tasted delicious on their own. I tried using the recommended condiments, but I still preferred the gyoza as it was. The shrimp gyoza didn't have a strong shrimp flavor, but the dipping sauce with sesame oil was a nice touch. The rice was perfectly seasoned and suited for nibbling. The soup, although simple, added a necessary flavor to the meal. The carrot and cucumber side dishes were a nice palate cleanser. Overall, I was satisfied with the taste, portion size, and price of the set. The restaurant was a hidden gem in a less conspicuous location in Ebisu. I might come back again in the future. The clientele is mainly female and the shop is clean and calming. The dumplings are delicious, but my favorite was the crystal dumplings on the menu. The skin is chewy with a noticeable thickness, while the boiled and steamed dumplings feel a bit heavy due to the moisture in the skin. It's a matter of personal preference. The atmosphere is elegant in a good way. I like it. Oh, and the potato salad with cream cheese was also delicious.

I visited for lunch! I ordered the greedy set, which included pan-fried and boiled dumplings. For the boiled dumplings, you can choose from four different fillings. I chose scallop and bamboo shoot. The dumplings had a very gentle and easy-to-eat flavor without any strong taste. The translucent and chewy skin was a distinctive feature. I used the Yicai Flow Fragrance Dumpling Evolution @yicai_gyozaxiaochu_ebisu in Osaka, which opened in August last year, for a cozy girls' night out with friends. The interior is sleek, stylish, and calming, reminiscent of an Italian cafe. They offer a variety of Chinese teas, including my favorite Oriental Beauty, and the teapot and teacups are so cute that we all wanted to buy the same set. It would definitely boost my tea motivation if I had them at home. For this visit, we ordered the following: ▶︎ Assorted appetizers ▶︎ Crystal dumplings (pork, shrimp, and cabbage) ▶︎ Squid and pork dumplings ▶︎ Spare rib and pickled vegetable rice. The most surprising appetizer was the potato salad, which had a stylish taste with cream cheese. The signature crystal dumplings are bite-sized and easy to pick up with delicate chopsticks, allowing you to enjoy them without disturbing the balance of the dumplings. The black-skinned water dumplings are also stylish. They also offer beef and celery, as well as shrimp and coriander versions, so you can enjoy a variety of flavors with friends. A famous Chinese home cooking restaurant in Osaka that is fully booked for a year in just one day!! [Ordered Menu] - Spare rib and vegetable broth rice - Crystal dumplings with 24 pieces - Steamed dumplings with squid and pork - Fried shrimp balls with shrimp mayo flavor - Assorted 6 appetizers - Jasmine tea creme brulee The special crystal dumplings were incredibly delicious with pork, shrimp, and cabbage inside. I initially ordered 12 pieces but they were so good that I ended up ordering 24 more! The spare rib rice dish in the first picture is a must-try! The aroma of Chinese five-spice powder and the texture of the vegetables blend perfectly, making it delicious. It's the perfect way to end a meal of dumplings. For dessert, I love creme brulee and almond tofu, but I was drawn to the jasmine tea flavor. It was different from the usual creme brulee and very tasty. The jasmine aroma was delightful. They also have natural wine, so it's a great place for those who enjoy alcohol.

This day, I was taken to Oipi Gyoza. It is located in a quiet residential area a little away from the station, giving off a cozy and peaceful vibe. We started with a toast with wine. Despite having a bad day, the wine was so delicious that I quickly forgot all about it. The South African wine was incredibly tasty, and I ended up drinking more than usual. First, we tried the signature Water Crystal Dumplings! The transparent and chewy skin with a crispy sear was amazing. The filling of pork, shrimp, and cabbage had a robust flavor, and the finely chopped shrimp provided a delightful texture. I couldn't stop eating them, they were that good! In fact, I was so impressed that I initially ordered the 12-piece set and later added another 24-piece set. The steamed dumplings with squid ink-infused black skin and real squid inside were also delicious. Another surprising dish was the fried shrimp balls in Ebi Mayo style. The crispy outer layer and the shrimp inside were outstanding. I wanted to order more, but I refrained from doing so, trying to act like a grown-up. The rib and Chinese cabbage dashi rice was served with the ribs already deboned by the staff. The slight hint of star anise was not overpowering, making it enjoyable even for those who are not fans of the spice (like me). The almond jelly was firm and rich in flavor, just the way I like it. Lastly, the Jasmine Tea Creme Brulee was also incredibly delicious. The wine, dumplings, dessert - everything was so good. It was an absolute delight. I highly recommend this place! Go and try it out!

I heard about it from a friend and decided to visit! I was attracted to the Kansai-originating jiggly crystal dumplings, but started with the classic menu first. The lunch set includes dumplings, soup, dashi rice, and 2 appetizers. The appetizers were carrot salad? and zucchini namul-style. The carrot was more like namul than salad. The dashi rice was sprinkled with plenty of sesame seeds, adding a fragrant touch. The soup had egg and diced tomatoes for acidity and freshness. The main dish, the dumplings, were filled with plump shrimp and minced meat wrapped in a jiggly skin... it felt like it was sandwiched and held together. This meant that there were no thick parts of the skin, so you could enjoy a balanced bite no matter where you bit into it. However, the filling tended to spill out when bitten, so I recommend taking one bite at a time! After the meal, although it wasn't on the lunch menu, I asked if they had almond jelly, and they did! It was smooth and rich, yet refreshing, with white fungus and wolfberries on top. I would like to go back again before the limited-time scallop and spring cabbage options are gone.
