It's Gurumanii! Lately, if the result is good, that's what matters, right? I'm thinking more about how to achieve good results! I used to know about this place but never went! I kept putting it off! I don't usually go out for a drink alone! I had those thoughts back then, but I want to give myself a pep talk now haha. Suddenly having some free time, I thought, "Yes! Let's go there," and visited alone after work! It's easier to get in a little earlier, right? I always imagine this place being crowded every day! And since you can't make reservations online or by phone, the feeling of not wanting to make a mistake creeps in, right? Well, once you're inside, it's paradise! The menu had so many interesting items, and you can even order and see photos on your phone by scanning the QR code. This time, there were only items I hadn't seen before, so I ordered those ▶︎▶︎▶︎▶︎▶︎Let's eat◀︎◀︎◀︎◀︎◀︎Sansho SourSansho Sour is available in many places recently, but it's amazing!Island Pickled Shallot FritterFor someone who loves pickled shallots, this is divine! I've never seen anything like this! It's crispy and crunchy! And inside the coating, there are crunchy pickled shallots. And the sauce! It's amazing! It's a mixture of salted fish roe and mayonnaise (probably). This alone can be a great snack with drinks!Squid Cream CroquetteAnd the overwhelming visual of the Squid Cream Croquette! Haven't heard of it before, right? Haven't tried it before? Isn't the visual stunning? From the crispy outer layer, you get a chewy black cream, and the squid is bouncy, which is amazing! The taste of charcoal and the sea is irresistible!Sardine Nori RollThe visual appearance is amazing! And the combination of green onions, sardines, and pickled ginger is just perfect! You must try it! I thought it was time to pay the bill, but for a perfect total of 3,000 yen, why not order something else?Beef Tendon StewThis volume at this price is unfair! The burdock and konjac add a nice flavor, and I finished it in no time!▶︎▶︎▶︎▶︎▶︎Thank you for the meal◀︎◀︎◀︎◀︎◀︎This restaurant combines playfulness, beauty, and deliciousness, making it a place that makes you want to try more dishes! Expecting too much? A long-established popular izakaya in Tokyo! I don't know about the old branches, but the current one is stylish and full of young people. But it's also a friendly place for old men. Ordered Akahoshi (small bottle) and spaghetti salad, and the fried horse mackerel in the photo. It's great that you can order spaghetti salad as a single item. Pouring the nostalgic spaghetti salad down with beer. The best! Now, onto the fried horse mackerel! Plenty of tartar sauce! Looks delicious! However, it was tough, smelly, and greasy. I hastily left. Got heartburn on the train. What a shame!

The legendary standing bar "Fujiya Honten" that used to be in Shibuya was founded in 1971 and quickly became known as the "holy land for drinkers." Going down to the basement of the building, you would find a lively and spacious interior. The standing bar counter surrounding the kitchen was truly impressive. I remember being warned by a friend when I first went there, saying, "That area is for regulars, so it's better not to go." I've had a similar experience at "Kamiya Bar" in Asakusa, but I wonder if such places or seats really existed. Fujiya Honten closed its doors in 2018 for redevelopment, ending its 47-year history. I remember it like it was yesterday. Last year, "Tachinomi Fujiya Honten" reopened in a different location, but since I rarely visit Shibuya, it remained as it was. Then, the other day, I was told, "Let's go to Fujiya Honten for the pre-drinks." Excited, I climbed up Sakura-zaka in Shibuya...■ Tachinomi Fujiya Honten The image of the old Fujiya Honten is completely different, but the renovated store in a traditional Japanese house is stylish and has a nice atmosphere. Opening the sliding door and entering the store, there were standing bar counters and seats. The standing bar seats on the terrace also had a great atmosphere. Cheers with Akahoshi beer♪ After work, the beer tastes so good. ◆ Ham Kyabe Separately ¥400 The popular menu from the past is still there♪ I'm so happy to be able to eat this again. Under the piled-up roast ham, there is a bed of cabbage. Looking around while savoring the nostalgic taste, I saw young couples, middle-aged and elderly people, and salarymen returning from work, a wide range of generations drinking. The atmosphere is completely different from the time when the air was filled with the "ossan carbon" at the old Fujiya Honten. ◆ Maguro Hoho Steak ¥700 Topped with kaiware and garlic chips on sliced tuna steak. The tender tuna cheek meat with a garlic-flavored soy sauce dressing is a blissful taste. Let's switch to Hoppy next. You can order a bottle of Takara shochu 360ml...¥750, 220ml...¥500 and choose your favorite mixer, just like in the old days. The background music is Showa kayo, and the cozy atmosphere makes it easy to relax and drink. But then, "Oh no! The time for the first round is approaching!" I hurriedly paid the bill and walked quickly back to the bar, but once again, I was late and scolded. Being scolded even in my 60s... *For more details, check out the immersive blog...【Warai Buta 2】http://waraibuta2.blog.fc2.com/ A man in his 60s who knows the bars inside out, a blog about drinking and having fun【Goto Omocha no Mori】https://folktoys.blog.fc2.com/ A nostalgic and heartwarming blog about regional toys.

I found the menu for Fujiiya Honten Shibuya while wandering around and feeling like having a casual drink. I had heard about the wine bar, but didn't realize they also had standing drink options. The terrace seating was nice, and the interior was surprisingly spacious. The menu was stylish and not intimidating, making it easy to enjoy. It was great to see many solo customers like me. The menu prices were reasonable, making it a perfect spot for a solo visit. I will definitely go back.

Before the drinking party, I remembered that Fujiya Honten had been renovated, so I decided to check it out. There were seats outside and it was bustling. I wasn't sure if I could get in, but there was a standing counter inside that was available, so I went in. You can order through mobile or by speaking to the staff. I started with a small bottle of Akahoshi beer for 500 yen. While I was drinking beer, my friend said they would be arriving soon, so we met up at the standing counter inside. We ordered the special water dumplings for 500 yen with 2 pieces. They were boiled in a large pot right in front of us. When they arrived, they were quite large! The chewy skin with plenty of meat and cilantro on top was delicious! As expected, it was a recommended dish. I also had a lemon sour for either 500 yen or 550 yen, with plenty of lemon making it refreshing. Before we knew it, an hour had passed. We paid using PayPay at the end. There were other menu items that looked really delicious, so I would like to visit again.

Zero usage! On holidays, the seats were almost full. Ordered dishes: sardine seaweed roll, pasta salad, rare skipjack fry, their famous menchi. Drinks: beer, adult melon soda from Houou Bida. Started with a toast with beer! There were many attractive dishes and I couldn't decide. The sardine seaweed roll had a beautiful pattern with sardines wrapped in seaweed. The pasta salad was easy to eat. The rare skipjack fry was almost raw, with a crispy outer layer. The famous menchi had a fried egg on top and was as soft as a hamburger! It was the most delicious menchi I've ever had! The melon soda from Houou Bida had real melon in it! It was practically a dessert. There are many other menu items I'm curious about. I want to go back again!

"Fujiya Honten, a standing bar that has been loved for over 50 years in Shibuya Sakuragaoka, was sadly closed due to a large-scale redevelopment of the area. However, it reopened on Sakura Street in 22-11, delighting customers with nostalgic photos displayed inside the restaurant. In addition to classic dishes like the famous 'Ham Cya-betsu,' the menu has been expanded with new and creative options that are simply delicious. The food is so good that you'll find yourself ordering more drinks just to enjoy it. It may take about 5 more visits to try everything on the menu, but it's worth it. The firm caramel-flavored pudding served as dessert is addictive and alone makes the visit worthwhile."

I used it for the second time. It is a bar where Yoshida Rui and Fujiwara Ryuya were drinking together in a special episode of "Sakaba Horoki". The space is quite large. Orders are placed through a QR code scanning system on a smartphone. Cheers with a shared Akaboshi. The second drink is a sudachi sour. I enjoyed the mentaiko potato salad and shirasu grated daikon tofu as snacks. I didn't have much appetite after eating too much yakiniku. I couldn't order more. As the restaurant is known for its cuisine, I definitely need to come back for another visit. The clientele is diverse. Due to the extreme heat, there were no customers drinking outside.

After visiting the planetarium, I stopped by for a casual drink. They had a wide variety of drinks and dishes, and if I hadn't had dinner reservations, I would have ordered more. The only thing I ordered, the "morokyu," was a perfect snack for a hot day. The cucumber was refreshing, and the miso paste was delicious. I'll definitely come back for a full meal next time.

A standing bar near Shibuya Station. They have outdoor seating as well. There are many foreigners here! Although it's a standing bar, the prices are high and the quality of the food is also high. It's nice that they serve food early, and many people just come for a quick drink so the turnover at the counter is fast.

An acquaintance opened a shop in Shibuya, so I decided to visit after work. I don't usually come to Shibuya, and especially not to this area near Sakuragaoka. Just looking at the stairs of the pedestrian bridge makes me feel exhausted. As I was heading towards the intended shop, I stumbled upon this place. I had heard that it had reopened, but I didn't realize it was here. I had about 15 minutes until my meeting, so I decided to take a chance here. The inside was surprisingly spacious. A man who seemed to be the manager was directing the cute female staff. I ordered a draft Sapporo beer, which was smooth and easy to drink but lacked a satisfying bitterness. I also tried the signature "Ham Cabbage" and boiled dumplings. The menu had a variety of dishes from Japanese, Western, Chinese, and ethnic cuisines. The seasonal ingredients were also incorporated. The "Ham Cabbage" was a simple dish of ham and cabbage topped with mayonnaise. The boiled dumplings had homemade skins but were slightly overcooked, reducing their flavor. The portion size was just right for a solo diner, with a delicious spicy and tangy sauce with plenty of aromatic vegetables. I left after 13 minutes.

I was curious about the revival of a famous store in Shibuya, but it was always crowded and I couldn't visit easily. However, on a holiday, I finally got a chance to visit because there was a vacant seat. The quality of the well thought-out appetizers and creative dishes that pair well with wine has evolved while maintaining the essence of the famous store. It's a user-friendly restaurant that I definitely want to visit again!

It's a shop I happened to stop by while wandering around Sakuragaoka. I was already quite full from the previous place, so I couldn't eat much here, but I definitely want to come back next time! The variety of dishes and drinks was extensive and very enjoyable. I ordered fig and sesame salad, eggplant fritters, and sardine seaweed rolls, all of which were delicious and gone in no time. They also allow outdoor drinking, so while standing can be a bit tough, it's perfect for summer.

I revisited the standing bar Fujiya Honten, which made a comeback at the end of last year. Once again, I visited during a spare time before drinking. I started with Hoppy and Takara Shochu. You order a small bottle of shochu and mix it with Hoppy, and I had about four drinks. - Bonito rare fry: Recommended dish of the day. The bonito is rare inside and crispy on the outside. It is served with tartar sauce, which is delicious. - Spasara: A traditional specialty dish. Still delicious. It seems like the mustard isn't as strong as when I had it last time. The amount of ingredients may have increased a bit, but it's still light and crispy, which is very good. Thank you for the meal.

I met up with my senior colleague at the workplace and entered the restaurant. The counter seats are narrow, but the back area is spacious and well-maintained, giving a clean feeling. The menu changes according to the season, so it's always exciting to visit this restaurant. The staff are all very friendly, so I would love to visit again.

I had some time before my reservation at a restaurant, so I decided to stop by the standing bar Fujiya Honten for a quick drink. It was past 7 PM on a Tuesday, but the place was bustling with almost all tables occupied. I only had one drink and one dish as I had plans for dinner later. I enjoyed my time there, sipping on my drink and trying out some tasty dishes like the mentaiko potato salad and a chicken dish with herbs. I stayed for about 30 minutes before heading out.

It used to be a place with a tense atmosphere that rejected curious women and trendy students. It was a unique place where only the righteous standing drinkers gathered, but now the atmosphere has completely changed. It has become a new type of bar that anyone can easily enter. The aluminum ashtrays that used to be placed as a matter of course are no longer there, perhaps a sign of the times. The Ham Cutlet, which was priced at 350 yen before the relocation, is now 400 yen with a larger portion of ham. The Fried Horse Mackerel, priced at 500 yen before the relocation, is now 450 yen! What? A price reduction? And the tartar sauce is delicious. I think before the relocation, there were only soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce available. It's great, the new era standing drinking establishment Fujiya. I want to try more dishes with a large group.

On this day, I attended a craft beer event at the Danish Embassy in Daikanyama. Since I had come to Daikanyama, Shibuya was also nearby, so I decided to visit this restaurant (*´∀`)♪ I arrived at the restaurant around 4 pm. The restaurant is about a 5-minute walk from Shibuya Station West Exit, just past the Shuto Expressway. During this season, there were a few customers sitting outside. The restaurant has a counter on the front floor and another counter and tables for 2-3 people on the back floor. I was guided to the same back floor counter seat as last time and checked the menu. Once again, there were so many things that caught my eye (((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))♡ I ordered various items without holding back, and before I knew it, 3 hours had passed Σ(゚д゚lll) The bill ended up being over 10,000 yen for two people due to excessive drinking and eating (^◇^;) I was shocked that there was no gout pasta available at this time of year... Nevertheless, I enjoyed myself once again (*´∀`)♪ Thank you for the meal. <Food> Prices include tax ◎Water Eggplant and Island Radish with Bonito Flakes (650 yen) - Both water eggplant and island radish are my favorite! I couldn't resist ordering this (*≧∀≦*) It had a light taste with a nice saltiness, and it was delicious (*´∀`)♪ ◎Mackerel Rare Fry (700 yen) - I also love mackerel! And it's a rare fry! The mackerel was moist and delicious, and the tartar sauce was nice! ◎Shime Saba Sashimi (800 yen) - My favorite type of lightly pickled mackerel (*´Д`*) It's nice to eat it with mustard instead of wasabi. ◎Trippa Arrabbiata (900 yen) - I was curious about this dish since my last visit. It's a dish with tripe and white kidney beans stewed in a spicy tomato sauce. ◎Firefly Squid Tempura (600 yen) - Firefly squid from Toyama prefecture in tempura form (*´Д`*) I got really angry once when firefly squid was served with its guts still intact, but heating the guts added a nice flavor. ◎Octopus and Karasumi Peperoncino (850 yen) - I ordered this as a replacement for the gout pasta. The salty taste of the karasumi was quite strong, making me drink more alcohol (*≧艸≦) ◎Nasu Miso (300 yen) - A menu item that has been around since the previous restaurant. Sweet and savory eggplant miso. It seems like it would go well with rice. <Drinks> Prices include tax - Special Salt Lemon Sour (550 yen) - Special Pineapple Sour (600 yen) - Kakaku 180ml (1,100 yen) - Whiskey is served in small bottles. You order a mixer separately and mix it yourself. - Carbonated Water (150 yen x 5) - Odawara Yagishita Farm Special Orange Sour (600 yen)

Finally, I was able to visit the bar that I was most curious about. The crowded feeling leading to the underground before redevelopment is very nostalgic for bar lovers and drinkers. Despite the relocation and the new retro-style building, the fashionable staff working there are not like the ones in the commercials, and I can't help but want to say "Don't group them all as young people like Ano-chan..." However, there are many stylish Shibuya-type fresh staff working there, making it a complete 180-degree transformation from the old Fujiya. When I ordered the ham cutlet from the menu, it still had a hint of the past. As a fan of sake, I was happy to see a wide selection of local sake that was not available in the past. I regret that I could not order much as I arrived just before the last order, and my level of intoxication was at its limit. I realize that I need to be more aware of the charm of the new Fujiya next time I visit, maybe as a second stop.

The shrimp mayo, two types of shumai, and mentaiko potato salad were delicious. After work, I went to drink with my colleagues. The restaurant was small but cozy, with good ventilation.
