During my university days, I went to a Samgyupsal restaurant with my friends and it was the most delicious one I've ever had! The restaurant is called "Kanton" which in Korean means "empty can." It has a nostalgic feel to it. There is a branch in Shin-Okubo, but the one in Ueno is less crowded. We ordered the thick-cut Samgyupsal for two people, and it was so delicious! The staff cooked and cut it for us, and we could have unlimited refills of side dishes like lettuce. It was incredibly tasty! I used to think that Samgyupsal was just grilled pork and nothing special, but this place proved me wrong. We also had a Kimchi Cheese Jeon (half portion) which was thick, crispy on the outside, and had a rich cheesy filling. Even though we only ordered two dishes for three people, we were completely full.

I visited around 7:00 p.m. on Saturday and the restaurant was almost full and very lively. I left the food order to my friend, but I love Korean food so everything was delicious! The cheese tteokbokki (?) was spicy! I like spicy food, but the lingering spiciness was a bit hard to handle and I couldn't eat much. However, the chicken was really delicious!! I had a great time! I would like to visit again!

I used this place for a drinking party at night. The price was not too high, and I think the atmosphere was good. We could enjoy hot samgyeopsal and hot pot in the air-conditioned restaurant! There was a wide variety of drinks, and since most of us were focused on drinking, we had a great time. The customers were mostly young ladies and foreigners. However, I was a bit disappointed that the hot pot I was looking forward to wasn't very delicious this time. Since there are many Korean restaurants in Ueno, I hope to try a delicious hot pot next time.

I wanted to eat Korean food in Ueno (^_^) It's a bit of a walk from Ueno Station, but very close from Okachimachi Station! I ordered Samgyeopsal, Jjim, and Yukhoe. Why can we both laugh until we cry, struggling to breathe? I love the stories about the employees I used to hire who never worked, and the talk about not evading taxes but trying to save money! It's like my own version of a funny story. The relaxed atmosphere in Ueno brings out a sense of security! There was a noisy group of kids in the front that annoyed me at first, but it was fun!

Visited on a Saturday evening for a 120-minute all-you-can-eat and drink option for 6380 yen. After enjoying the cherry blossoms at Ueno Park and the food stalls at Shinobazu Pond, we wanted to eat samgyeopsal, so we visited this restaurant located in the deep zone near Yushima. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was comfortable and spacious. Since it's a Korean restaurant, the clientele is on the younger side. We prepared our stomachs since morning for the all-you-can-eat experience and tackled it with two people. The thick and juicy samgyeopsal was very satisfying. The all-you-can-eat option even included bibimbap, which got us excited. We also ordered two side dishes, cheese seafood pancake and tteokbokki. The portions were huge. One serving of samgyeopsal was too heavy, and we had to give up after the second round. The bibimbap and pancake were like three servings in a regular restaurant. Although it was a happy dilemma, it was impossible for two people to finish it all, leaving us feeling frustrated. The flavors were rich, juicy, and very delicious. But if you're with two people, it's definitely better to order individual items. It's recommended to tackle the all-you-can-eat option with a group of four university students or the like. Overall, it was a place where you can enjoy delicious food to your heart's content. I would like to visit again.

All-you-can-drink is a good deal♪ Depending on the course, you can also drink Makgeolli (Korean rice wine) all you want, and the food is delicious. The weekends are busy during peak hours, so it's better to make a reservation before going! This time, we couldn't order the Samgyeopsal (Korean pork belly) because we were already full, so we tried the stir-fried Samgyeopsal instead. You can choose from spicy, sweet and spicy, or extremely spicy, and I chose sweet and spicy, but it was still quite spicy haha. The Chapchae (stir-fried glass noodles) has options with seafood or beef, and I ordered the beef one which was delicious!! It's recommended to mix all the Namul (seasoned vegetables) together before eating, it tastes better that way! Highly recommended!

Overall, the food was decent for the price. However, I always wonder why they call romaine lettuce "sanchu" instead of its actual name. The samgyeopsal portion was good for two people, but if you're a group of three or more (especially if there are only women), it might be difficult to order additional dishes. The miso or sauce that came with the samgyeopsal was a bit bland for my taste. I wish it had a bit more spiciness. The makgeolli was well-carbonated and delicious. The old-fashioned metal cups they served it in were interesting, but I wouldn't mind a regular glass. The chive pancake was a bit burnt, probably due to the busy crowd. It was still edible, but it felt like a bit of a letdown. The service was average, although I found it a bit off-putting when they immediately asked if we had a reservation upon entering. It would have been better if they first asked if we had a reservation and then informed us if they were fully booked. Also, there was an ashtray provided near the entrance, which was a thoughtful touch.

Craving for samgyupsal, my family visited the Ueno branch of Canton for a trip down memory lane. It was a popular spot, and the restaurant quickly filled up. The floor was extremely slippery, likely due to the oil from the food, so extra caution was needed to avoid slipping, especially when heading to the restroom. We shared and enjoyed the following dishes: Aged Premium Samgyupsal, Chapchae, Cheese Balls, Tteokbokki, Kimbap, and Stone Pot Bibimbap. The Aged Premium Samgyupsal was thick and satisfying, living up to our expectations. The Chapchae was unexpectedly delicious with a generous amount of garlic. The Kimbap without meat was a bit bland for our taste. The Tteokbokki had a traditional flavor with added oden. Overall, we found it to be a delicious samgyupsal restaurant, worth the visit due to its popularity.

She didn't specify the brand of beer, so we just chose one. We ordered chijimi with cheese topping and bossam. We shared makgeolli served in a kettle. The portions were generous and everything was delicious!! The restaurant is located next to Marui in Ueno and seems to be a hidden gem. However, it was quite popular with customers coming in one after another. I will definitely visit again.

I really wanted to have some alcohol with it... Haha. Overall, the food was delicious.

I came to a Korean restaurant and tried Samgyupsal for the first time. It was amazingly delicious. Thick slices of pork grilled on a hot plate, sandwiched between vegetables, wrapped with spring onions and a seasoning that seemed like Gochujang. Despite looking heavy, I could easily finish 1-2 servings by myself. It was so tasty that I might get addicted to it. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the Ueno store for the first time in about a year. The Korean restaurant still offers reasonably priced menus with satisfying portions, which made me happy! The restaurant was not crowded on weekdays from 7 pm to around 11 pm, but Uber delivery drivers were frequently coming in and out, so it seems like delivery is also popular. Even though I was already full, I wanted to eat Korean chicken, so I got a half & half fried chicken to go on my way home. It was a generous portion.

The salad had a light dressing, which was perfect since the Cheese Dakgalbi was rich in flavor. The Jeon was thick and resembled a fluffy omelette. The texture was chewy and delicious. We chose the Leek Jeon from the menu, which was loaded with leeks. The Cheese Dakgalbi had two types of cheese. As it sizzled, the cheese melted and coated the chicken, sweet potatoes, rice cakes, and onions beautifully. Lastly, we had the fried rice. The staff chopped the vegetables on the hot plate and mixed everything together. It was quite filling! The food was delicious, but I was a bit concerned about COVID-19 precautions during this time. There was no disinfection or temperature checks, although the staff wore masks and gloves.
