The inside of the shop is clean and there is plenty of space between tables. There were quite a few seats available. I ordered the kakiage soba with an added egg for 560 yen. The soba, broth, and kakiage were all decent for a standing soba shop. The topping of boiled green beans and seaweed sets it apart from other shops, I think.

It used to be more along Route 20, I think (too old?). When it comes to cheap and delicious soba in Shinjuku, it used to be Iwamoto Q, but it closed down. I gave up and walked to this place. I had a unique dish of chilled sesame soba and assorted tempura. It wasn't tempura dipping sauce, but soba dipping sauce? It's in Shinjuku, and I think they are working hard to offer reasonable prices and serve until 11:15 pm.

I had the kakiage tempura soba for 490 yen at "Shinshuya" in Shinjuku. It's a stand soba shop located in a side street off the Koshu Kaido. The tempura was mainly made of carrots, and I chose to have it with warm soba. The thinly sliced noodles were soft, but I prefer them with more firmness when eating them cold. The interior of the shop gave off a high-end vibe, but I wish the quality was closer to "Fuji Soba" or "Saga Tani."

Today's standing eating lunch at Soba Shinshu-ya, Shinjuku Minami-guchi store. I had the Kakiage Seiro (¥430). It's been a while since I had cold soba. The noodles are glossy and smooth. The broth is quite ordinary. The kakiage is pre-made and served cold, which doesn't really go well with the cold soba. It would be better if they served the tempura separately. They have a sign on the wall saying "fried in front of you," although it doesn't specify that it's made to order. It was a bit of a disappointment. But considering the price, it's not too bad. The taste, price, speed of service, atmosphere, and performance are all good.

On a weekday around 4:30 pm, there were only about 2 groups of customers in the store, so it was not crowded. The process was to order at the register near the kitchen and then secure a seat. I ordered a tempura rice bowl set for ¥750 and added a soft-boiled egg topping for an unknown price (I forgot). The soba noodles had a good texture and tasted delicious! However, the tempura batter, other than the shrimp tempura, was soft and disappointing. Even though it was written that it was freshly fried, it didn't taste like it was (・_・;). The shrimp tempura was crispy and delicious! The sauce was lightly flavored. Overall, I am satisfied because the soba noodles were delicious!!!

It's already September, but the heat still hasn't let up. I felt like having a beer with a slightly late lunch, so I decided to stop by this soba restaurant. The beer set with assorted tempura was 1000 yen. However, the tempura was a bit dry and crunchy, which was disappointing. The soba noodles, on the other hand, were delicious. The beer was just the right size. Thank you for the meal!

I felt like eating soba, so I casually walked into the restaurant. I ordered the "Tenmori Soba" for 590 yen with an extra large portion for 100 yen. The soba had a strong texture and was satisfying to eat. The tempura consisted of one shrimp tempura. It wasn't crispy, but it was just right. Above all, this restaurant has great value for the price.

The shop was clean and offered standing room dining with 17 seats available. The tempura bowl set was 750 yen, and you could get a large serving of soba for an extra 100 yen. The shrimp tempura, smelt tempura, and pumpkin tempura had soggy batter and weren't tasty. The mixed vegetable tempura was crispy and delicious. The soba was average, and the dipping sauce was okay.

Sunday dinner. A generous portion overflowing from the seiro for 550 yen. Located at Shinshuya near the southeast exit of Shinjuku station. When it comes to Shinshuya's Tokumori soba, this is it. The way they write "tokumori" is unique. As far as soba goes, it's of a high level for a stand-up eatery, with a good chewy texture and smooth to swallow. I polished it off completely. After finishing, I felt quite satisfied. You can also enjoy soba-yu (soba water) and crispy pickled plum with a plum flavor. I think their ambition to aim for a genuine soba restaurant in the stand-up soba world is admirable. Thank you for the meal.

This is my first visit to this restaurant located about a 3-4 minute walk from Shinjuku Station. While there are several standing eateries in Shinjuku, it seems that this one and the one in Shibuya are the only locations for this chain. There are no ticket machines for payment, so you order from the cashier and then wait in line to pick up your food. I visited around 2 pm on a weekday and the restaurant was about half full. There are standing and sitting counters available. I ordered the Squid Tempura Soba for 540 yen with a large serving for an additional 100 yen. I was called in about 3-4 minutes. The emphasis on "mori" over "zaru" is quite appealing. The soba noodles had a good thickness and chewiness, with reviews mentioning that they are ground with a stone mill. The noodles were served with green onions and wasabi on the side. The broth was sweet with a strong umami flavor, which I really enjoyed. The sweetness comes from mirin. The squid tempura was soft and of a decent size, although it was a bit lukewarm and slightly oily due to pre-cooking. The batter was crispy enough. Overall, considering the price, it's a good option in Shinjuku. They also offer a morning set for 450 yen, which includes rice, raw egg, tempura crumbs, seaweed, and snow peas, available from 7:30 am to 11 am. I would like to try their seasonal ingredients next time. Thank you for the meal.

In the afternoon, I was feeling a bit hungry because I hadn't eaten anything since morning. I was thinking of having some soba noodles, but I couldn't decide where to go. I decided to go to "Shinshu-ya" which I haven't visited in a while. It was so hot that I wanted to have some cold soba noodles. Usually, I always go for the steamed soba, but this time I ordered "Hiyashita Nuki" (cold soba without broth) for the first time. It cost 420 yen including tax. Since it was an odd time, the kitchen staff came out to take my order. The dish was ready in about 2 minutes. I mixed in some wasabi and sprinkled some shichimi pepper before tasting it. Hmm, the soba noodles were a bit lukewarm. They didn't have that crisp coldness and seemed a bit overcooked. I usually only eat the steamed soba here, and I don't recall having this experience before. The tempura here is also just okay, but the soba noodles are delicious and affordable. Maybe it was just a one-time thing, so I will visit again. I might change my order next time. I will also attach some photos I took earlier. Thank you for the meal!

I enjoyed a delicious set meal of tempura rice bowl and mixed soba at Shinshu-ya Shinjuku Minami-guchi store. The tempura rice bowl included shrimp, whiting fish, vegetable tempura, and pumpkin tempura, but the sauce was a bit lacking. The seating options were a mix of chairs and standing seats. For 750 yen, the taste and portion size were satisfactory.

After work in Shinjuku, I didn't have much time so I had lunch at a standing soba noodle shop. Today, I went to Shinshu-ya. There was a sign outside advertising a set meal with fried horse mackerel and soba noodles, and since I like fried horse mackerel, I decided on that without hesitation. I paid at the register inside. The fried horse mackerel was served with a special sauce and mayonnaise already on top. It was a bit salty... but the portion of rice was generous. The soba noodles were probably freshly made, and they were delicious for a standing soba shop. Customers were constantly coming and going, so it seems to be a popular place. Thank you for the meal.

Oh, I found a cozy soba restaurant that looked easy to enter, so I was drawn in by the brightness and atmosphere at the entrance. Since there was no ticket machine, I wondered where to place my order, but it turned out that I needed to order and pay at the counter in the back first. (It might get a bit chaotic during busy times...) This time, I ordered the Mori Soba (cold soba noodles) and Tempura Donburi (tempura rice bowl). The price was 750 yen, which is quite cheap. Afterwards, I sat at a table of my choice and waited for my order to be ready. There were standing and sitting tables, both of which were full. The dishes arrived as shown in the picture. The soba noodles were decent, but the tempura in the Tempura Donburi was not that great. The batter was too firm and chewy. The rice portion in the Tempura Donburi was generous, which would be great for those who like to eat a lot. That was the overall experience. If I have the chance to visit again, I would like to try something other than the Tempura Donburi.

Shinjuku is crowded on Sundays. It's hard to find a place to eat lunch. Even the local shops have long lines, so I decided to try the standing soba shop. However, it was packed with couples and families. Coming to a standing soba shop on a Sunday in Shinjuku? The soba here is delicious, so it might be suitable for a date. In the past, if I had taken a girl to a standing soba shop for a date, I would have surely been rejected. The soba here is served in a push-out style, but it has a distinct flavor. The broth is also well-balanced. The chilled soba I had was just right. Since I was hungry, I ordered a large portion. It's great that they are open on Sundays, but it would be better if it was a little less crowded.

A standing soba shop that I keep coming back to over and over. This standing soba shop surpasses the level of regular standing soba shops. They pay attention not only to the broth and soba, but also to the dishes they use. Everyone, if the price is the same, please try some delicious soba with a slightly better atmosphere. By the way, there is a similar shop in Shibuya, which is a related store. They also offer other food and drinks, so be sure to visit when you go to Shibuya.

I visited the restaurant at 2:30 PM on Sunday. It was crowded everywhere on the way from Shinjuku Sanchome, so I decided to come here. The restaurant was also quite busy. I was in the mood for Tanjai Samgo, so I chose the Vinegar Spicy Nira Soup Soba. It didn't have a lot of pork, but other than that, it lived up to its name. At first, I thought the soba and soup didn't quite match, but after a few bites, I forgot about it and finished the meal. I felt more of the sourness and sweetness than the spiciness while eating, but after finishing, a nice level of spiciness lingered in my mouth. I thought it would be nice if there was an option to add more meat. I felt a bit unsatisfied with the portion, but I think the amount of carbohydrates was appropriate. I want to try to imitate the Nira at home.

I randomly entered a standing soba restaurant in Shinjuku without much expectation. At first, I was confused about how to order and ended up feeling a bit flustered. You have to order at the register first before lining up, but there was no explanation so it was hard to figure out. I was feeling hungry so I ordered the tempura bowl set for 750 yen. I didn't have high hopes, but the soba was firm and better than expected, while the tempura was just average. Considering the location, I think 750 yen is reasonable for this meal.

I worked quite a bit without eating lunch during the day, so I felt hungry on my way home. I decided to stop by a standing soba noodle shop for a light meal before dinner. Even though it's a self-service place, it has a sophisticated atmosphere with jazz music playing in the background. I ordered a warm tempura soba noodle. It was my first time at a standing soba noodle shop, so I had to go with the tempura. The broth had a mild soy sauce flavor despite its dark appearance, which I liked. The noodles were slightly thick. The tempura included small pieces of vegetables like carrots, which were crunchy. There was also seaweed and green onions. I added a lot of a brand of seven spice blend. Towards the end, the tempura started to break apart and the broth became richer. It was a bit junky, but somehow elegant soba noodles with toppings. It was delicious.

"Shinshuya Shinjuku Minami-guchi store" Tempura bowl set 750 yen, draft beer 480 yen. The soba is not bad, but it's not great either. The disappointing part is the tempura, which is hard and chewy. A good soba restaurant usually has excellent tempura, so that's a downside. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and offers good value for money.
