I visited a Thai restaurant located in a quiet underground area between Ueno and Okachimachi. There is a signboard, so it's easy to find! I went alone around 12 pm on a weekday and the place was empty. The lunch menu was mostly around 750 yen with salad and dessert included, which I think is very cheap! After some hesitation, I ordered the Tom Yum Noodles. They also offered free rice, so I asked for that as well. The taste was not exactly to my liking. I was expecting a red soup, but it was brown and not very sour, more on the rich side. I managed to finish all the rice, but the noodles alone might have been a bit small. Considering the price, it was okay. I would like to try other dishes on the menu. Since I was full, I was satisfied with the meal.

Yesterday's lunch was at Thai Village in Ueno, Tokyo. It was hot in Tokyo again, so I decided to try Thai cuisine. I had the combo lunch with Gapao and Pad Thai, and it was delicious! The soup, Gapao, and Pad Thai were all tasty. The mother's cooking skills were impressive as she prepared the dishes. The restaurant is run by a mother and daughter duo, so the service may be a bit slow, but the delicious food and the daughter's cheerful smile made up for it. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal! #UenoLunch #UenoLunchClub #ThaiVillage

First time visiting! The shop is located underground in a slightly shady corner of the floor. When I entered, I was greeted by a friendly woman. I tried to order a Singha beer, but they were out of stock, so I ordered another Thai beer instead. From the second drink onwards, there was an all-you-can-drink option, which was nice. I found that overall, the prices were cheap. The portions for each dish were a bit small, more like for two people to share. You can order a variety of dishes, which is good. We started with fresh spring rolls and then ordered various items like spicy squid, salad, yakisoba-style noodles, green curry (which only came with the sauce, so if you want rice or noodles, you need to order those separately), and tom yum goong fried rice (which I really liked!). Everything was delicious! I used to pass by this place but never went in because it seemed intimidating, but I had a good experience. They also offer lunch, which seems even more affordable, so I will visit for lunch next time! Thank you for the meal!

A place where you can enjoy authentic Thai cuisine at reasonable prices. Although the cell signal is weak underground, the staff quickly recommended WiFi and made the experience comfortable. There is also a variety of drinks available, so I was satisfied. It was a restaurant that made me want to visit again.

I wanted to try some ethnic food, so I went to a Thai restaurant in a basement of a building. The place wasn't very big, but it smelled great with ethnic spices. I started with a Yam Wun Sen and a draft beer (Asahi). They also had Thai beer available. The dish was full of ingredients and really delicious. I love cilantro, but they used just the right amount. It was so tasty that I finished it quickly. I wanted to order another one, but I decided to try a seafood stir-fry dish instead. I also ordered a Gapao with meat, rice, and egg. Both dishes were very delicious. I ended the meal with a Tom Yum Kung soup, which wasn't too spicy or sour. The shrimp was big and tasty. Overall, it was a great meal.

Today, I visited Thai Village in Okachimachi, a place I had been wanting to visit for a while. It was around 8 PM on a weekday and the restaurant was almost full. Luckily, a customer was leaving and I was able to get a table. I started with a Jasmine High cocktail. The drinks and dishes were small in size but very reasonably priced. It's a great place for solo diners or those who want to try a variety of dishes. For food, I had the following: a coriander salad with seafood which was very tasty, and a som tam salad which I asked to be extra spicy (+100 yen). I love spicy food but didn't find it very spicy, so it might not be too hot for most people. I also had edamame and kung chee nam pla, among other dishes. They offer all-you-can-eat and drink options starting from the 3000 yen range, which is quite attractive. Being able to enjoy a variety of dishes in small portions is definitely a big draw. Thank you for the delicious meal! I will definitely visit again.

There is a restaurant located between Naka-Okachimachi and Ueno Station, closer to Naka-Okachimachi. It is on the basement floor. I ordered Tom Yum Kung Ramen and Mini Gapao Rice Set, as well as Gapao Rice and Butter Chicken Set, both priced at 1100 yen. The restaurant is not very spacious, and it quickly filled up with customers. It was my first time trying Butter Chicken, and it was incredibly delicious, like a Thai-style yakisoba.

I had seafood curry. It was my first Thai dish and curry of the year. The lunch set was 850 yen, which included salad, soup, and dessert, making it very reasonable. The best part is that you can adjust the spiciness of the dish. I was very satisfied with the delicious meal at this price.

The curveball of changing my mood for meat turned into a home run ⚾️ I was in the mood for meat today, but the restaurants I wanted to go to were all closed. I wandered around as a lunch refugee, but then I remembered this place and decided to visit. I ordered the special lunch set of Tom Yum Kung Wonton soup for 750 yen (so cheap!). It came with rice, salad, and dessert. At first, I was feeling a bit down because I wanted meat, but once I tasted it, I was extremely satisfied. It tasted just like the food I had in Bangkok. The dishes are all cheap but delicious. I wonder if the chef is from Thailand? I couldn't help but be curious about the neighboring dishes like Gapaorice, Kaomangai, and Pad Thai. I'll have to try them next time. I'm also interested in the dinner menu. There are a lot of women dining here. It's about a 5-minute walk from Ueno Station, located in the basement of a building, so be sure not to miss the sign (shown in the third photo)! It was delicious! I'll definitely be back. Thank you for the meal!

Ueno Station Central Exit is a 7-8 minute walk away, while Okachimachi Station is about a 3-minute walk, making it relatively easy to access from either station. On Monday, October 17th, just after the rain had stopped, my friend and I arrived at the restaurant around 1 pm with the desire to try Thai cuisine. We had heard that it was a popular place, but luckily, when we entered, there was only one other group there, so we were fortunate to get in at the right time. Looking at the menu, despite the current circumstances, the lunch set (choose one main dish from 10 options) was only 750 yen! That's incredibly cheap! It also came with soup, salad, and a mini dessert. The special set (choose 2 main dishes from 4 options) was also available for 980 yen. It was really appreciated. Feeling hungry, I ordered the Green Curry & Gapao Special Set, while my friend ordered the Kaomangai & Pad Thai Special Set. When we asked about the spiciness level, I opted for 1 out of 4 levels (normal spiciness) for my Green Curry & Gapao, and since Kaomangai & Pad Thai were originally not spicy dishes, the spiciness meter didn't apply to them. Dishes with a chili mark on the menu indicated the spiciness level. According to the staff, levels 2 and above are quite spicy, even for Thai people. We started with a toast with Chang beer. It had a smooth taste and was easy to drink. Soon, our dishes arrived. The Green Curry & Gapao Rice had a mini portion of green curry with chunks of chicken and vegetables in a light sauce. Despite being at level 1 spiciness, it was quite spicy, which complemented the Gapao rice well. The Gapao Rice was easy to eat from the first bite, and the combination of minced meat and fried egg was undeniably delicious. The salad, soup, and mini dessert were also served. The salad, mainly consisting of leafy vegetables, had a refreshing Japanese-style dressing. The soup was a simple consomme with fish sauce, and the mini dessert was made with coconut milk. My friend's Kaomangai and Pad Thai were also shared. The tender chicken breast of Kaomangai with a ginger-flavored sauce was delicious, and the Pad Thai was filled with nuts and dried shrimp, giving it a fragrant aroma and perfectly balanced flavor. My friend was pleasantly surprised by how delicious Thai cuisine could be and was delighted by this unexpected discovery. Each restaurant has its own unique characteristics, but personally, I have decided to revisit this Thai restaurant. I would like to try the Pad Thai next time. Thank you for the delicious meal!

The restaurant is located in the basement of a building not far from Ueno. It's not a very big place, so if you miss the timing, you may end up waiting for quite a while. On weekends, they only offer lunch sets with alcohol included, no regular lunch menu. Otherwise, you can order small dishes. The Thai food is quite authentic. The service may seem a bit inexperienced, but they are trying their best. The price per dish is cheap, but if you order a variety of dishes, it can add up quickly.

I accidentally entered a restaurant in Ueno, and since it was a different time, there were only two other customers. I ordered the Khao Man Gai for 750 yen, which came with soup, salad, and dessert. The salad was average, and the soup was a chicken and vegetable soup commonly found in Thai restaurants, with a gentle flavor. There was only one type of sauce for the Khao Man Gai, which I tried right away. The chicken was tender and delicious, without any strong flavors. I quickly finished by placing the chicken on top of the rice and pouring the sauce over it. I wish there was a bit more rice.

Set Ga Pao Rice (medium spicy) + Green Curry. 980 yen. The Ga Pao Rice has a good level of spiciness and tastes delicious. The Green Curry has a nice texture with bamboo shoots and a tasty flavor with umami and sweetness. It would be nice if there were condiments like fish sauce on the table for adjusting the spiciness. Thai music playing in the background would enhance the atmosphere. Overall, it's a good restaurant and I would like to visit again.

I used it for a weekday lunch. The restaurant is located in the basement of a building, which may be a bit hard to find, but it's a recommended place where you can enjoy reasonably priced Thai lunch. I ordered Pad Thai for around 800 yen. It seemed like it was already made, so it was served quickly. It came with cabbage salad, soup, Pad Thai, and tapioca dessert for this price, which is cheap. I usually spend around 700-800 yen at a convenience store, so this is good. The shrimp in the Pad Thai was firm and the taste was delicious. I'm interested in other lunch menu items, so I'd like to visit again.

I went to Thai Village, a Thai restaurant near JR Okachimachi Station. It is located in the basement of a building about a 2-minute walk from the north exit of the station towards Ueno. I had the lunch special A set for 980 yen (tax included), which includes both Gapao and Green Curry. Both dishes were more generous than I expected. The set also comes with soup, salad, and dessert. The spiciness was just right for me (although it might be quite spicy for others). It was a satisfying meal. There is also an Indian restaurant on the same floor. If I have the chance to visit Okachimachi again, I would like to try that one too.

Located near the intersection of Kasuga Street and Showa Street, this Thai restaurant caught my attention with the Thai flag outside. Initially, I thought it was a Thai massage parlor, but upon closer inspection, I realized it was a restaurant. Surprisingly, it was situated in a mixed building with various shops! I had no idea there was an Asian world here. The restaurant had a vibrant ethnic atmosphere with red plastic chairs reminiscent of a Thai street stall. The owner's attention to detail and hospitality were evident. The lunch set "Khao Man Gai" came with a main dish, salad, soup, and dessert! Although the portion of chicken was small, the jasmine rice with chicken was delicious. The salad, soup, and dessert were also well-prepared. The charming waiter resembled a protagonist from a Thai BL drama and was incredibly kind. The food and service were filled with love. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

The restaurant "Thai Village" located a 2-3 minute walk from the always crowded "Kamo to Negi" offers a variety of delicious dishes. We ordered the flavorful "Nam Tok Moo" with pork and Thai herbs, and the spicy "Gapao Gai" with minced chicken and plenty of holy basil. The dishes were full of authentic Thai flavors and we enjoyed them with a refreshing beer. We also tried the "Gapao Rice" with a fried egg on top, which was a satisfying meal. Overall, it was a delicious dining experience at "Thai Village" in Ueno.

Located away from the main street, this restaurant offers a quiet place to enjoy a meal. The portion size of each dish is small, but you can try a variety of dishes with small plates, making it a good choice for izakaya-style dining. They also have unique dishes not commonly found in other Thai restaurants. The shrimp with nam pla (fish sauce) sashimi is sour, spicy, and delicious. Taste: ★★★★☆, Portion size: ★★★☆☆, Value for money: ★★★☆☆

I had a lunch drink at "Thai Village" near Ueno and Okachimachi Station in Taito-ku, Tokyo. The Thai cuisine here is authentic and very delicious. I enjoyed the Beer Chang and Singha beer after a long time. I would like to visit this restaurant again.

I was planning to order Gapaow, but I was drawn to the shrimp and ended up ordering Tom Yum Kung Fried Rice for 850 yen. It was served in about 10 minutes after ordering. The freshness of the raw vegetables and herbs is a bit lacking, but the fried rice was surprisingly delicious. Many times I've had issues with the rice quality at other places, but here it was not a problem. I would like to try the Tom Yum Kung Noodles next time. The restaurant is small and was about 70% full. They accept electronic money and PayPay. Thank you for the meal.
