It's a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, but the chef prepares the sushi right in front of you and the quality of the fish is on par with high-end sushi restaurants! The prices are slightly higher than typical conveyor belt sushi places, but the satisfaction you get is worth it. If you want to enjoy delicious sushi at a reasonable price, this place comes highly recommended.

I visited this sushi restaurant for lunch alone. It's commonly known as "The conveyor belt sushi". It's easy to enter even if you're alone, and the rotation of dishes is fast, making it a great option when you want to quickly eat sushi in Shinjuku. Compared to other conveyor belt sushi restaurants, the prices here are a bit higher, but the attraction lies in being able to eat sushi without waiting in line.

Delicious conveyor belt sushi. I have been using it since my student days, when friends from overseas come to visit, etc. This time, I visited alone for lunch on a weekday. I wanted to eat sushi because it's been a while since I've been in Japan, but I was alone...! This place was recommended for such occasions. Each piece was solid and the taste was just as I had imagined - delicious. The prices are a bit high, but the taste is reliable, so I would definitely consider coming back next time I return to Japan and have some alone time.

I had some errands in Shinjuku and returned to Tokyo. I was wearing a tracksuit, so I decided to go to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. It was Monday afternoon, and about 80% of the customers were tourists, while 20% were Japanese. The sushi chefs were an older Japanese man and two foreigners. The service was provided by a Japanese man and a young foreign woman. The menu was written in Japanese, Chinese, and English. They even served seared gizzard shad where they had seared the rice as well. It was surprisingly delicious, so I took a photo. lol

I entered the restaurant around 4:30 PM on Saturday and it was empty. I had the amazing tuna simmered dish for 300 yen (1st picture) which I loved last time. I had 4 highballs and about 6-7 dishes, totaling 5000 yen for one person. The highballs here are delicious, so I recommend trying them. I also tried the miso soup with fish balls for the first time and it was tasty.

When you want to eat sushi in the Shinjuku Higashi-guchi area but don't want to go to the conveyor belt sushi chain or the high-end sushi place, this is the go-to spot. They have a wide variety of sushi options and the fish is fresh. It's a bit pricier for conveyor belt sushi, but you'll be satisfied. If they have fresh shirasu available, be sure to give it a try!

Overall, for this quality, around 5000 yen is quite good value.

I have some doubts about the value for money and the hype surrounding this place that has been featured on TV. I ordered six items including "tuna red meat nigiri," "seared blackthroat seaperch," "tekka maki," "kappa maki," "matsubu shellfish," and "seared sardine" for a total of 2,070 yen. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is also a bit unsettling, maybe because there is no background music and the staff take orders in a hushed manner.

For more details, please visit the blog https://tokyo-tabearuki.com/numazuko-shinjuku 1. What is Numazu Port? Numazu Port Shinjuku Main Store opened in 2002 and relocated to its current location in 2015. As of August 20, 2023, it has a rating of 3.47 on Tabelog and 3.7 on Google Maps. The author had seen the Ginza store featured in the media for its "Mount Fuji Sushi" in the past. This day, the author decided to visit the restaurant in Shinjuku, assuming it was a popular spot. 2. Directions, Exterior, and Business Hours of Numazu Port Shinjuku Main Store Address: 1F Ikeda Plaza Building, 3-34-16 Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo 160-0022 A few minutes' walk from Shinjuku Station, located along a less crowded street in Shinjuku East Exit. Business Hours: 11:30-23:00 (Last Order 22:30), Closed irregularly 3. Menu and Atmosphere of Numazu Port Shinjuku Main Store Upon entering, the author found the menu prices relatively high, with nothing appealing in the 1,100 yen range. The menu items in the 2,380 yen range seemed more interesting but still pricey for items like sardines priced at around 200 yen. 4. What the Author Ordered at Numazu Port Shinjuku Main Store The author ordered the restaurant's specialty, the Mount Fuji Sushi. The restaurant did not have a conveyor belt for sushi, and orders were taken directly from the staff. The author found the interior of the restaurant simple and not matching the price range. 5. Food Experience at Numazu Port Shinjuku Main Store The author ordered a beer, sardines, amberjack, and octopus as recommended items. The amberjack had a firm texture with a slight chewiness and less fatty. The octopus had a soft texture and a mild flavor. The sardines were of decent quality with good fat content. The author then ordered the Mount Fuji Sushi with sea urchin and whitebait, but found the sea urchin to be slightly dry and lacking sweetness. The whitebait was extremely bitter, indicating it was not fresh. The author decided to leave the restaurant, feeling uneasy, and the total bill came to 3,860 yen, exceeding expectations.

I visited during a relatively quiet time in the early evening on a weekday. The taste is nothing special, and the prices are not cheap either. I don't understand why this restaurant has such high ratings. Why does the chef at the counter always have his back turned to the customers? Well, I guess they don't need to make an effort since foreign customers keep flocking in.

I arrived at around 13:30 and was able to get in easily. I ordered chawanmushi, squid, sardines, red shrimp, fatty tuna, and amberjack, which cost around 2,000-2,500 yen. It's convenient to visit alone. I didn't order fatty tuna last time, but it was delicious.

I visited in the late afternoon around 3 o'clock on a regular day. As expected, there were hardly any customers at this time. A non-conveyor belt sushi restaurant is desirable in this day and age. It would have been nice if they had all-you-can-eat pickled ginger, but it can't be helped. The price is higher than a famous chain, but the taste and portion are good. However, I made a mistake by ordering too many appetizers like fresh raw shirasu and horse mackerel sashimi (which were also fresh and generous!), so I couldn't eat much of the sushi itself, which was a shame. Next time, I want to enjoy the sushi when I'm really hungry.

I visited a sushi restaurant that I love and realized that it had been a while since I last had sushi. So, I decided to go for it. Even though I wasn't very hungry, I chose a conveyor belt sushi restaurant where I could easily control my portions. However, as soon as I entered, my appetite started to grow rapidly. I ended up eating about 7 plates of sushi, and it cost around 3000 yen. The quality of the fish was great, so it was worth the price. This sushi restaurant is special because they put green onions on top of the sushi, and I remember all of the dishes I had. I will definitely be coming back here again!

I often use the revolving sushi restaurant in Shinjuku. The atmosphere inside is quiet, and I enjoy eating sushi in peace. It is a relatively high-end revolving sushi restaurant, but every sushi is delicious without fail, making it my favorite. On this day, I also ordered a sashimi assortment.

I visited around 3 pm on a weekday and it was empty. I was expecting to wait in line, but it was surprisingly quiet. I had plans for another meal afterwards, so I only ate a little. I ordered seared nodoguro, medium fatty toro kanpachi, and aji kanpyo maki, which cost around 1800 yen.

This is the perfect restaurant for when you're craving something more than your usual conveyor belt sushi but don't want to splurge on high-end sushi. The fish is always fresh and satisfying, but the standout dish is the "Toro Tekkamaki". When you take a bite, the toro melts in your mouth, spreading its rich sweetness and the aroma of shiso leaves. It's so good that you'll feel like you can eat it forever! If you're a wasabi lover, don't miss the "Tears Tekkamaki" - it's packed with so much wasabi that it might bring tears to your eyes, but the addictive taste is worth it.

I wasn't expecting much from the conveyor belt sushi restaurant in the middle of Shinjuku, with all the chain restaurants around, but hey, this place is actually pretty good! It's not cheap, but not too expensive either, and the sushi is delicious. It's a good place to stop by for a quick bite. The plates are mostly priced between 300 to 380 yen. #Numazu Port #Shinjuku Gourmet #Conveyor Belt Sushi #Sushi Lunch

At a sushi restaurant called Numazu Port, I was surprised to find fresh shirasu and live sakura shrimp on the menu. It's not easy to find fresh shirasu in the Kanto region, so I was grateful. The horse mackerel sashimi was delicious and had a nice texture. Today, I had a light meal before meeting up with someone. Next time, I want to try their sushi. There were a lot of foreign customers as well.

The Otoro and Chutoro are well-prepared, and the sardines are oily and delicious without any bones. The rolls and inari are also delicious, made by skilled chefs. The seaweed is crispy and tasty. The rice is not made by a machine, so it's proper sushi. The cost-performance ratio is not the best, but the satisfaction level is high.

Overall, I enjoyed the food, but I was quite disappointed with the "Uni Fujiyama Moriawase (1,300 yen)." It looked very different from the menu photo, almost like it was freezer burnt. It was quite dark and lacked the sweetness shown in the picture. It was a shame because everything else was delicious.

I arrived at 15:30 and was able to enter without waiting in line. There were many foreign customers. I ordered squid legs, grilled fin, extra large sardines, horse mackerel, mackerel, steamed egg custard, marinated mackerel, red shrimp, amberjack, sea bream, minced tuna with green onions, and yellowtail. The extra large sardines were the most delicious. The total cost for two people was 4700 yen.
