I went shopping at Daimaru and bought a dorayaki from "Kyoto Azuki" in the basement and brought it home. Dorayaki is Doraemon's favorite food, but I love it too. Dorayaki is delicious no matter where it is made, whether at a supermarket or convenience store. I particularly like the dorayaki here because the red bean paste is not too sweet and I like the texture and size. I feel happy that I can eat such a delicious dorayaki for around 200 yen.

I love dorayaki. The dorayaki at this shop is delicious all the way to the bread part, and of course, the red bean paste is also amazingly delicious. It's the best Japanese sweet that I want to eat one every day. It's best enjoyed with a cup of bitter green tea. Thank you for the meal.

Marutake Ebisu is a popular snack that consists of wavy cookies filled with vanilla cream. The cookies are thick but can be easily broken by hand, making it easy to eat elegantly. The slightly sweet vanilla cream balances well with the cookie, providing a satisfying treat. It may be a bit too sweet and heavy for some, but it's a great snack for a mid-afternoon treat. Overall, it's a popular choice for those who enjoy traditional Japanese confectionery with a modern twist.

A trendy pocket-sized sweet red bean soup. It's like a dumpling on a stick, slowly melting in hot water to reveal red bean soup and rice crackers inside. The chewy dumpling dough melts and becomes a comforting Japanese sweet. Delicious!

I received a gift from my uncle♪ This time, I received a set of plum jelly and water yokan. The set includes 3 of each, which is perfect for our family. I enjoyed them chilled. The plum jelly made with plum wine was refreshing and exciting to eat, but a bit strong with alcohol. The water yokan was smooth and light, easy to eat even in the hot weather. Overall, I was caught off guard by the strong alcohol taste, but if you enjoy alcohol, the texture and flavor are great. The jelly and water yokan are a nice summer treat.

There are plenty of sweets in Kyoto that use matcha, and it seems like there are very few disappointments. This time, I tried matcha rusk that I bought at Daimaru Kyoto store. It uses Kyoto Sangasa's bread as the base for the rusk, so the base is solid! It's delicious even when eaten on its own. Plus, the matcha flavor is strong, and it's coated with matcha chocolate (white chocolate base). It's crispy and firm. It was so tasty that I couldn't stop eating them one after another. Highly recommended for souvenirs from Kyoto or for home use!
