Appearance The shop is located a 2-minute walk from Ueno Station's Asakusa exit, making it a very convenient location near the station. The store is on the 8th floor of a building with various restaurants, so you need to take the elevator to get there. Inside, the shop mainly consists of private rooms, which creates a calm and quiet atmosphere. Depending on where you sit, you can enjoy a view of Ueno Station, providing a beautiful night view. Menu There was a daily recommended menu featuring a variety of Kyushu ingredients such as meat and sashimi, which was exciting. The regular menu also offers a wide selection of dishes at reasonable prices, making it easy to order. With fresh ingredients directly delivered from Kyushu and Fukuoka, you can expect good quality and freshness. Food and Drinks The table charge is not specified, and a pot for the table charge was prepared at the table. We ordered Maguro Shabu-Shabu, which seems to be a popular choice at izakayas recently. For drinks, we had a draft beer (Asahi Super Dry) and a Frozen Lemon Sour, which is a popular drink at the shop. The "Nakami Kawaritama" option allows you to order just the drink without the frozen lemon. We also enjoyed dishes such as Kyushu vegetable pickles, Corn Tempura, Drooling Motsu, Grilled Beef Tongue with Scallion and Salt, and a sashimi platter with 5 types of fish. The highlight was the Grilled Miso Motsu Nabe, which was delicious with a rich miso flavor. Review I visited this restaurant for dinner with a friend who enjoys food adventures. My friend had been here before and highly recommended it. The restaurant is part of a group with over 10 locations in Kyushu. Overall, the food was decent for a chain izakaya, and the prices were reasonable, making it a place I would consider visiting frequently. I will definitely come back again!

[3.5 rating] Visited a restaurant located about a 5-minute walk from Ueno Station. I went there for lunch. There were several dividers between tables, making it a bit confusing. The interior of the restaurant felt like it mainly consisted of private rooms. Even dining alone, I was seated in a private room. Music was playing. While the main focus seemed to be on drinking, they also served lunch on weekends. It appeared to be a chain restaurant. I ordered the sashimi set for 1180 yen (tax included). The positives were that the service was attentive and polite. There was a bell to call the staff when needed. The private room setting made it very relaxing. The prices were reasonable. The miso soup was light and easy to drink. The sashimi selection wasn't extensive, but the pieces were large, thick, and had a good amount of fat. There were varieties like sea bream, salmon, head-on shrimp, yellowtail, and a mix of seasoned salmon and white fish. The seasoned dish had a slightly sesame-flavored taste. There were two types of soy sauce provided, the regular Tokyo-style and a sweeter Kyushu-style soy sauce. It was interesting to have different soy sauce options. The side dishes included grilled corn and broccoli soaked in a flavorful sauce. Despite the affordable prices, the sashimi was thick, the seasoned dish was good, and the side dishes were well-prepared. The cozy private room setting made it a very enjoyable lunch experience. The only downsides I felt were that the rice was slightly too firm and I would have liked one more variety of sashimi. Overall, it was a great meal. Thank you.

Motsunabe with mentaiko (spicy cod roe) in miso flavor, served with rice. It was a lunch set with a single serving of the hot pot already prepared. The mentaiko came with a side salad, and it had a mild flavor that was not too overpowering. The miso broth of the motsunabe was rich and savory with a nice garlic kick. Mixing in the sweet and spicy sauce added a bit of heat, making it perfect with rice or even as a zosui (rice soup). The portion of motsu (offal) was generous and satisfying. The dish was packed with ingredients like leeks, burdock, cabbage, and tofu. It was quite filling, but towards the end, it got a bit monotonous. The flavors made me crave for some alcohol. The restaurant serves miso-based motsunabe on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and soy sauce-based motsunabe on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Lunch sets allow you to choose between rice and champon noodles, with free refills for rice. I visited around 1 PM on a Saturday and didn't have to wait. The restaurant has private dining rooms, so it didn't feel crowded.

I was guided to a private room overlooking Ueno Station. I ordered the Motsunabe set with mentaiko (soy sauce) for 1480 yen, and the children's lunch set for 1000 yen. The portion of motsunabe was quite generous, and the motsu was quite fatty. The mentaiko was very delicious, so I should have chosen rice instead of noodles. (Rice refills are free.)

We used a private tatami room for a company banquet and ordered the 6000 yen course with motsunabe. The quality of the food, the speed of service, the atmosphere of the restaurant, and the seating were all top-notch, and we had a great time. The specially made robatayaki was particularly delicious! The smell, seasoning, and texture were all excellent! The fact that individual servings were provided in addition to the motsunabe was also a wonderful touch! Personally, since it was a large group banquet, the fast drink service was also a plus! We will definitely use this place again at the end of the year.

The only Tokyo branch of a restaurant chain based in Hakata. Ueno Issho. I came here today to satisfy my craving for authentic motsunabe, which I still remember the deliciousness of from my time in Hakata. The quality of the motsu itself is likely very good, and they don't skimp on the amount of ingredients in the pot. I couldn't resist adding more motsu and tofu as I enjoyed the flavors. Even after that, I wanted to savor all the broth, so I had three rounds of noodles as the finishing touch. The pot was left clean with no broth remaining. I also tried the Thai carpaccio, which had a refreshing texture that indicated it was made with very fresh ingredients, but today it was all about the motsunabe. They have private rooms and the atmosphere is clean and nice. Highly recommended for various occasions like parties. #motsunabe #motsunabelovers #cravingmotsunabe #UenoIsshoTokyo #UenoIzakaya #UenoGourmet

I visited this restaurant for a company drinking party and found the motsunabe (tripe hot pot) to be incredibly delicious. I was surprised to find such a tasty motsunabe in Tokyo. We ordered a course meal, and the seafood was also delicious. The drinks were served quickly, so I'm thinking of using this place again for our next drinking party!

I felt like eating motsunabe so I visited this restaurant! It's an izakaya where you can enjoy Kyushu cuisine and Hakata specialties, and all the dishes that came out were delicious! After enjoying the sea bream carpaccio, gyoza, and tebasaki, a large pot of Hakata motsunabe was served on the table! This time I chose the soy sauce flavor and it was a hit. With all-you-can-drink option, it was a very satisfying night. I would like to revisit this restaurant when I crave motsunabe again!

We used this restaurant for a company launch party. We chose the 6000 yen plan with motsunabe, and we were very satisfied with the quality and quantity! The appetizers and salads were delicious from the start, and I thought, "This is a hit." But the motsunabe main dish was a "big hit." The variety of drinks for the all-you-can-drink option was also abundant, and the staff's hospitality was wonderful. I will definitely come back next time for a date!

On this day, I had a meal for work at Hakata Maekado Onejo. I used a course meal and had the following: - Sea bream carpaccio - Grilled corn and cucumber tofu salad - Assorted sashimi - Gyoza and chicken wings - Grilled Spanish mackerel and bamboo shoot - Beef harami and spicy grilled chicken - Hakata motsunabe (offal hot pot) with soy sauce or miso - Champon noodles as the finishing dish - Dessert: pudding The course cost 6,000 yen, and a private room was provided. The food was quite good. A convenient restaurant for work-related purposes. Thank you for the meal.

The other day, I went to Hakata Maen Robata Issho in Ueno, Tokyo with a friend. I had heard that their motsunabe (tripe hot pot) was highly recommended, and it truly was delicious. The freshness and richness of the motsu, combined with the special broth, created a wonderful umami flavor that I won't forget. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was pleasant and inviting, making me want to stay longer. The staff were friendly and kind. I plan to visit again when I want to indulge a little or have a special meal with loved ones. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious motsunabe in Ueno.

I don't usually go to Ueno, but this time I was recommended by someone so I visited for the first time. There are plenty of restaurants on the 8th floor right in front of Ueno Station. Unfortunately, I didn't have a window seat, but I had a private room. The food was well explained and I am satisfied.

Daytime drinking on a holiday. Despite feeling a little guilty, the food was top quality this year. The location is just a 1-minute walk from Ueno Station. If you think of Ueno as a place for cheap drinks and snacks, you should definitely give it a try. I was very satisfied. However, it seems to be a popular spot with a two-hour time limit. The second stop was at Da Tocho.

Hakata izakaya located in a building right outside Ueno Station, near the Iriya entrance. Almost all seats are private rooms, allowing for a relaxed dining experience. Despite appearing to be a casual izakaya, each dish is well-prepared, allowing guests to fully enjoy the atmosphere of Hakata. Although there are no photos, the most surprising aspect was that the complimentary dish was shabu-shabu.

I went back to my high school for a visit and had a party with my classmates at a restaurant called Isshou, which I think is operated by a local chain called Tsumamina, based in Kyushu. The menu included all-you-can-drink for 7500 yen. Here is what we had: - Appetizers: seared and raw mentaiko (spicy cod roe) - Salad: shrimp and avocado salad - Sashimi: sesame mackerel - Sashimi: live striped jack - Palate cleanser: deep-fried tofu and eggplant with pumpkin - Sashimi: Kumamoto horse meat sashimi - Specialty: domestic beef charcoal grill with 2 types of vegetables - Hot pot: motsu nabe (offal hot pot) - Hot pot finale: noodles - Dessert The sashimi was quite good and they had both regular soy sauce and sweet Kyushu soy sauce which paired well with the horse meat sashimi. The motsu nabe was decent, although we preferred the soy sauce version. I'm not a big fan of the champon noodles that come with hot pot, which seems to be a common thing at motsu nabe restaurants. It seems that people in Kyushu prefer soft noodles like udon. Overall, the restaurant seemed to be making an effort for a chain restaurant, although there were some dishes that didn't quite match my taste. The course menu for the party was good, but I think the a la carte options would be more appealing. They also offer eel sashimi, which I didn't try today.

The motsunabe (offal hot pot) was delicious and famous for a reason. We ordered enough for two people, but it could easily feed three. We finished the meal with udon noodles and left feeling very full. We chose the agodashi (jaw stock) motsunabe, which was a great choice. We also added some amberjack, which made the meal even more delicious. The appetizer was similar to pork shabu-shabu and also tasty. It was a shame that the thinly sliced conger eel was sold out, but all the dishes were delicious. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. It was a great restaurant experience. Thank you for the meal.

The motsu hot pot was as delicious as they claim to be famous for. Although the photo showed a serving for two, it was actually enough for three people. We ordered udon as a finishing touch (also for two people, but we got plenty of it, haha) and we were full by the end of the meal. We chose the grilled motsu hot pot with jaw broth this time, and it was a great choice! We also added some yellowtail which made the meal even more delicious. The appetizer, which was similar to pork shabu-shabu, was a pleasant surprise. The only disappointment was that the thinly sliced conger eel was sold out and we couldn't try it. Overall, everything was delicious, the staff was very friendly, and it left a great impression as a fantastic restaurant.

I made a reservation for Saturday lunch and used it! The parent and child bowl has amazing cost performance ✨ It has a large portion, so women might end up leaving some rice! The sauce on the corn had a mysterious taste to it. The completely private room is a bit small, but as long as you can tolerate that, it's not a problem. The staff's service was also very good.

I made a reservation in advance on the official website, but I didn't receive a confirmation phone call. So, I was worried if I would be able to get a seat when I arrived around the time of opening, but they seated me normally. The private room was separated by sliding doors, so you can hear the voices from the next room, but the distance was decent. What stood out to me was that they had limited stock of sesame mackerel, so if you order a half size, they will add half of a yellowtail instead. I was surprised that they were out of stock at this time, but since I made a reservation for this dish, I had to settle for the yellowtail version. The harami (skirt steak) was sweet in flavor and the meat was a bit tough, while the chicken was a bit dry. Overall, the flavors were not as outstanding as I had expected after seeing rave reviews. However, I didn't try the tripe, but those who did said it was delicious, so I'll give it half a star. The frozen lemon in the lemon sour didn't seem to chill well after refills. The espresso ice cream and matcha gateau chocolat dessert were the most delicious. I thought it would be nice to have a menu just for espresso ice cream.

It was a restaurant that I felt would be greatly appreciated for its Halal compatibility and would be perfect for welcoming foreign guests in the future. The front private rooms were relaxing, and the fish was delivered directly from Kyushu, ensuring top freshness. Every dish I tried was outstanding, with no disappointments. It's just a 2-minute walk from Ueno Station, straight ahead from the central ticket gate at the Asakusa exit on the left, so you won't get lost. I recommend the motsunabe (offal hot pot), as it is delicious and comes in a variety of options. Thank you for the delicious meal.

When I searched for a hot pot restaurant in Ueno, the top result was our shop with a promotion, so I titled it that way haha. Before an emergency situation arose, I decided to meet up with a friend who lives in Saitama at a restaurant with private rooms in front of Ueno Station, and made a reservation at this Ichisho restaurant. It seems to be the first branch in Tokyo of an izakaya chain expanding from Fukuoka, located on the 8th floor of FUNDES Ueno. Chain izakayas in front of stations often have a mediocre atmosphere and food quality, but this one was different. The private rooms were not awkward box seats, but sunken kotatsu-style seats that were completely partitioned off, making it safe to use even during the pandemic. First, we toasted with beer - so delicious! I'd like to hear the opinion of politicians who think that drinking this at night leads to infection haha. As the name suggests, Hakata cuisine is the main focus, with specialties such as iron gyoza and chicken sashimi lined up. The timing of the dishes was efficient, and there was no sluggishness typical of part-time workers, which was a plus. However, the dishes... I accidentally forgot to take photos, but I tried ordering 5 types of grilled skewers of beef, pork, and chicken, all priced over 200 yen, and they were at a level where you shouldn't expect too much haha. But I was satisfied with the hot pot on a cold day. The style of searing and serving the meat right in front of you with a burner seems to exceed the level of a chain restaurant. Above all, I am grateful for the space where my friend and I could relax and talk in front of the station. It was quite far from Yokohama to Ueno, but it was worth it.

I couldn't eat out much in Fukuoka, where I visited for the year-end and New Year holidays, so I decided to have a rematch in Tokyo. I went to Hakata Zenroku, located a 2-minute walk from Ueno Station, for a lunchtime drink. The restaurant mainly has private rooms, so the distancing is reassuring. Adults can enjoy a drink at lunchtime, while children can have lunch. We ordered two Agodashi aburi motsu nabe for 1,680 yen each, along with two Chanpon noodles for 380 yen each. The dishes were made in the kitchen during the lunchtime a la carte menu. Honestly, the portions were quite large and overwhelming. The Agodashi and seafood soup with sesame flavor were delicious, and the aburi motsu was cooked to perfection. Next time, I'll adjust the amount of food. The children's lunch for 780 yen included grilled chicken and a substantial portion. The Hakata sesame mackerel for 1,780 yen had a sweet soy sauce dressing with plenty of sesame seeds on fresh mackerel topped with egg yolk. It was a different style from the sesame mackerel in Fukuoka, but it made me crave rice. It's irresistible when paired with alcohol. The sashimi platter for 1,780 yen included thick slices of red shrimp, salmon, scallops, yellowtail, and red snapper, satisfying my sashimi cravings. I also enjoyed a lunch beer for 480 yen and a Tanaka Rokugo for 1,520 yen. Just like my previous visit, the dishes at this restaurant are generous, so adjusting the number of dishes is necessary. Overall, we had a delicious meal today.
