This time, I visited a popular yakiniku restaurant in Kanda that has been around for over 10 years! "Kanayama Shoten" is located a 3.4-minute walk from Kanda Station on the JR Chuo Line, Keihin-Tohoku Line, Yamanote Line, and Tokyo Metro Ginza Line. The restaurant is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 5:00 pm to midnight (last order at 11:30 pm) and on Sundays from 5:00 pm to 11:30 pm (last order at 11:00 pm), closed on Mondays. I had heard from a friend in Kanda that this restaurant was delicious, so I finally had the chance to visit. I made a reservation a week in advance and went with a friend. We arrived at 6:00 pm on a Saturday. The exterior and interior of the restaurant have a clean and welcoming feel. The seating consists of small tables, with some slightly larger tables for two people. We were seated at a slightly larger table in the middle. The atmosphere inside was lively, with about half the tables filled at 6:00 pm and completely full by 7:00 pm. It seemed like many customers had reservations as they were asked for their names upon entering. The restaurant brings the charcoal grill to your table after you order, allowing you to grill the meat yourself, similar to a yakiniku place. The menu includes various cuts of meat such as kalbi, loin, tongue, harami, and horumon. They also have signature dishes like Rib Curtain (2 pieces for 2,200 yen tax included) and others. We ordered White Kimchi, Rib Curtain, Salt Kalbi, Enpitsu, Marbled Shimacho, Thickly Sliced Tongue with Salt, and Cold Noodles. For drinks, we ordered handmade Ramune soda and Pineapple Sour. The food was delicious, especially the Rib Curtain, Kalbi, Enpitsu, Shimacho, and Tongue. The way they season and present the meat was excellent. The side dishes like White Kimchi and Cold Noodles were also tasty. The service at the restaurant was exceptional, with the owner, hostess, and staff being very welcoming and friendly. The warm atmosphere and great food made it a wonderful dining experience. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I visited this restaurant for a company gathering, and I have never experienced such delicious food at this price before. The meat was all juicy, and although it was a bit oily, it wasn't spicy at all. What surprised me the most was the way they cooked the white rice - it was just the way I like it, perfect! The drinks were reasonably priced, and the Showa pudding was also delicious. I really feel like I found an amazing restaurant!

A stable and delicious yakiniku restaurant♪︎ This is about my 5th time visiting, as it's in the neighborhood and offers tasty meat at a reasonable price♪︎ I especially love the thick-sliced tongue with their special plum sauce. The premium kalbi is also great, with just the right amount of fat and not too heavy, so I can eat as many pieces as I want. The rare cuts of meat are also delicious and very reasonably priced. This time, I tried the shiitake mushrooms and ginkgo nuts for the first time, and they were also delicious. The cold noodles and bibimbap for finishing were also very good. I often end up eating more rice than usual, but the rice here is also delicious. If I have the chance, I'd like to try the white rice too! The salad and kimchi are average, but the quality of the grilled dishes, rice, and soup is high.

I made a reservation for 6:30 pm on a weekday. The restaurant was almost full, maybe because the situation with COVID has improved. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I tried some recommended dishes and also sampled a variety of others. I really enjoyed the thick-cut salted tongue, rib eye curtain, grilled thigh meat, and sirloin steak. Even though it was a reservation, there was no time limit, so I could relax and enjoy my meal. I definitely want to come back again. Rated 3.42 on Tabelog with 86 reviews as of June 2023.

"Yakiniku Kanayama Shoten Kanda Honten" is just a short walk from Kanda Station. On this day, we chose the popular No.1 course at the restaurant. The vibrant tomato namul and kimchi assortment catch the eye first. The vegetable salad that follows is incredibly fresh. The scallop and quail tempura delights with a deep sea aroma dancing on the palate. And then, the centerpiece is the visually stunning rib eye curtain, aptly named "meat curtain." The other menu items, such as kalbi, tongue salt, yakiniku, and hormone, are all part of a luxurious lineup that is hard to believe considering the price in the 5000 yen range. Despite the spacious interior, the consistently full house is understandable once you experience the quality. If you're looking for yakiniku in Kanda, this restaurant is a must-visit. We had a company dinner with members, just a few minutes' walk away. It was a nice surprise to find such a restaurant in this area. I checked the website later, and it looked impressive. The meat was delicious! Each piece was tender and flavorful. The seasoning was specified for each, but they all tasted great. There was a tube in the middle that absorbed the smoke and fire. This kind of meat goes well with alcohol. We had beer, sake, highball, more beer, and added some harami. The grilled egg with cheese was especially delicious. We chatted for 2 hours, and it felt like no time had passed. For some reason, we all had ice cream at the end. I had salted red bean flavor. Thank you for the meal! While it may not offer brand-name beef, the quality of all cuts is exceptional for the price. The rib core curtain is a must for Instagram, lightly seared on each side for 4 seconds before tasting the rich flavor. The thick and tender tongue salt is a standout dish. The beef tartare is also delicious with a rich flavor. The price for just the meat is under 5000 yen, with branches in Yaesu as well as Kanda.

Kanda's yakiniku restaurant. Located about a 5-minute walk from Kanda Station. There is also a branch in Nihonbashi, but this is the main store. This restaurant serves A5 grade Japanese beef with high marbling, cooked over Tosa Binchotan charcoal. We went around 8 pm on a Saturday and there were 2 groups of customers already there. We rushed in just before closing at 9 pm. Here is what we had: - Safe and Secure Yukke (1500 yen): Low-temperature cooked beef yukke. This was fresh and incredibly delicious! Mix the sauce, egg yolk, and yukke together, then wrap it in seaweed for a different way to enjoy it. - Namuru Nira Tama (430 yen): A simple dish of chives topped with egg yolk, but it looks amazing and tastes great as a snack. - Toro Toro no Jo (1600 yen): A recreation of Oma's otoro using beef. Quickly sear it for 2 seconds and dip it in Tosa soy sauce. This tastes like no other...truly otoro (*゚▽゚*)♪ - Rib Core Curtain (850 yen x 2 pieces): A signature dish of Kanayama Shoten. A large piece of rib core. Sear one side for 4 seconds and dip it in black broth. The black broth is excellent, removing excess fat and making it surprisingly refreshing. - Fresh Salt Liver (750 yen): The liver is also delicious. Seasoned with salt and sesame oil, this style is the best. Slightly rare, with a good texture. - Thick-cut Upper Tongue Salt (1320 yen): We also ordered the thick-cut upper tongue salt. This is served with plum sauce, a unique style. It's quite good as well (°▽°) - Cold Noodles (850 yen): Cold noodles to finish off the meal. BEST3 3800 yen (excluding tax) Salad, finely chopped green onions, cabbage, kimchi, tomato, tongue salt, sagari, lean stone, shinshin, 4 types of hormone each, 2 slices of middle loin per person. All the meat is delicious! They provided different sauces for each, making it surprisingly stylish for a place in Kanda. We also ordered soup and comtan kupa separately to share at the end. Surprisingly, we ended up feeling quite full. Since I can't drink alcohol, I had Ramune, which I haven't had in a while, but it was surprisingly delicious too.

The specialty rib core curtain is not only served hanging, but also has performances like this. It is grilled on both sides for 4 seconds each and dipped in a refreshing homemade sauce! Even with a small group, you can try various types in small quantities. During the state of emergency declaration, alcohol was not served when I visited, but there were box seats and the seating was spacious, so it's a great place to enjoy yakiniku with a large group, chatting and drinking together.

I made a reservation because I was intrigued by the different plating and variety of side dishes on Instagram. The restaurant had a traditional yakiniku atmosphere with sparkling wine glasses, which excited wine lovers. It was a charcoal grill. The yukhoe was delicious as usual. The meat was high-quality A5 wagyu with rich marbling yet surprisingly refreshing. The ribeye curtain meat also seemed to have good marbling but was not too heavy. All the horumon (offal) dishes were delicious. The spicy and sweet yukhoejang soup for the finale was flavorful and delicious. The classic homemade pudding was as delicious as it looked. The meat was all delicious with a good amount of fat. It cost 13,000 yen for two people, but I think it's relatively cheap for this quality in Tokyo. The pudding was not tasty, it seemed like a chemical pudding. It's a shame. The service from the staff was not very good.

I visited the restaurant recommended by an acquaintance who is a business owner. It is located about a 3-minute walk from Kanda Station on the Ginza Line. I called on the same day at 5:00 pm and was able to make a reservation for 6:30 pm. Premium Yukke ☆☆☆ - Enjoy the change in taste by dipping it in egg yolk and balsamic vinegar. With egg yolk, you can feel the rich fat and a mellow taste. Balsamic vinegar has a refreshing flavor. It was delicious. Toro Toro no Jo ☆☆ - Replicating the fatty part of Oma tuna with beef. Quickly sear both sides for 2 seconds. Despite adding plenty of wasabi, it did not affect the taste at all. The fatty part melted in the mouth. Ribeye Curtain ☆☆☆ - The presentation is wonderful. The owner of the restaurant is from Seitaien and I had been curious about this place for a while but hadn't had the chance to visit in Kanda. Overall, it was excellent. It felt like a more refined version of my beloved Seitaien. The standout feature was the high quality of the marbling, which was sweet and delicious. - Rib loin curtains: Thinly sliced large pieces of meat that melt in your mouth and are sweet. The quality is top-notch. - Toro Toro Joe: Cook for about 2 seconds on the grill. It aims to recreate the taste of Oma's fatty tuna with meat, and it really does. People started calling me "old man" at some point... I had a takeout of minced meat bowl (1000 yen excluding tax). Sweet and savory minced meat with a Korean-style (?) seasoning on top of rice. Half a portion with namul as a side dish. The slightly rich flavor makes the rice go down smoothly. I finished it in no time. Thank you for the meal.

Last review of the first year of Reiwa! Today, I met with my senior colleagues who I only see once a year, and we had yakiniku! We change the restaurant we go to every year. There are many yakiniku restaurants in the Kanda area! I decided based on cost performance, meat quality, and reviews. The interior of the restaurant is very clean. There is space under the chairs to store outerwear. I came prepared tonight! We ordered a variety of items because it's the end of the year. - Rib core curtain: Meat that looks like a curtain. Cooked on one side for 4 seconds at high speed. Very tender and not too rich. - Shinshin thick-cut steak: A thick piece of meat cooked and cut by a handsome chef. Served with high-quality wasabi and salt. Juicy and delicious! - Garlic chive namul: Delicious with sesame oil. The namul melts in your mouth. Absolutely delicious. - Tomato namul: The namul is irresistible. Smooth tomatoes marinated in sauce. Goes well with alcohol. - Lean stone: Despite being lean, it has marbling. Very tender and juicy. The meat's flavor is concentrated. - Premium tongue with salt: Tender and incredibly delicious. - Premium salted kalbi: Soft and melts in your mouth. - Others: Kimchi assortment, Yukgaejang soup, Cold noodles with a great texture and delicious noodles. Tastes great with plenty of vinegar. The meat quality is good, and the young staff are friendly and efficient. They bring out different sauces for each type of meat, tailored to enhance its flavor. Despite being in Kanda, most customers were young and attractive. It's a lovely restaurant with great food and service, attracting a high-quality clientele.
