I searched for a restaurant near Izuruyama Temple Station and found one where you have to buy a meal ticket before ordering. I had the A set lunch for 1,000 yen, which had a good variety of options. It was convenient to eat quickly and move on.

This is a restaurant located on the first floor of a building right in front of the 3rd exit of Izumi-gaoka Station. It's a convenient location, and I visited for lunch today. The interior is spacious, and even though it was just before 12 o'clock on a weekday, there were still empty seats available. The lunch menu offers two daily specials (1,000 yen each) as well as about six fixed menu options. You purchase a meal ticket at the entrance before entering. Today, I chose the marinated seafood bowl and cheese minced cutlet set. As shown in the photos, the portions were generous, and the flavors of both the bowl and cutlet were as expected. While there were no surprises, it's important for a daily lunch to have flavors that meet expectations. Even after 12 o'clock, customers continued to come in to order lunch. Considering the convenient location and reliable food, I thought this was a helpful restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

Visited for a second party. There are few restaurants around the Izumigataji intersection, so I came near the Mita exit of Izumigataji station. As the last train time approached, there were more people leaving than entering. A person who seemed to be the manager led us to our seats in a business-like manner. Although a bit unfriendly, their response to orders was efficient, so if you accept that this is the kind of service they provide, it's not a big deal. The young part-time staff seemed a bit tired. The interior has a Japanese style and seems to be designed for both lunch and drinking in the evening. It's not the kind of place where you can relax, but if you don't mind that, it's fine. Since I didn't eat the fried chicken under the red curtain, I ordered it here. I wasn't in the mood for seafood, so I also had ham cutlets and spent about 30-40 minutes there. When I ordered Hoppy, shochu came in a pot. It seemed to be about one cup, which is more than you would get at other places. This might feel like a good deal. Everyone was conscious of catching the last train and hurried, so we disbanded around 11 p.m. The payment process was also business-like and unfriendly. Once you get used to it, it might make you feel more comfortable. This time, it was a farewell party at "Aka Noren" in front of Izumigataji, so we stopped by here, but I'm not sure if I will come back again.

I have enjoyed the limited-time menu of braised pork dish at this restaurant before and made it my first review as a food log reviewer. I always find the place crowded around 12:00, so I decided to visit early. The restaurant has a spacious interior and offers lunch options mainly focused on fried dishes, sashimi set meals, and curry. The curry served here is a rich and dark version. Even though I should avoid fried food for my diet, I couldn't resist ordering the Pork Cutlet Set Meal for 680 yen (tax included) today. I thought it wouldn't be a large portion since it was the cheapest option, but I was pleasantly surprised when the set meal arrived. The pork cutlet was thin and crispy, making it easy to eat with the sauce invented by a genius. I enjoyed it a lot!

I was looking for a hearty lunch spot and came across a new izakaya near Izumigatakeji Station called "Teraken Honke." It's located on a side street next to the soba restaurant "Isekazu," with an inconspicuous entrance set back from the street. This used to be the location of "Sakura Suisan" a couple of years ago, and I remember it being mediocre back then. However, the new place seems to have shifted from fish to meat dishes, with prices starting at 500 yen and going up in quality. They offer dishes like tonkatsu and ginger pork, so I decided to try the "Sangen Tonkatsu Set" for 680 yen. I purchased my meal ticket at the ticket machine near the entrance and opted for the free large portion. The interior of the restaurant is quite spacious, with only a few customers at the time. The atmosphere is lively, with Japanese pop music playing in the background. The staff are attentive and bring water and a wet towel to each guest. After a short wait, my meal was served, consisting of pork cutlet, rice, and miso soup. The pork was decent, but the batter was a bit soggy, and the cabbage was roughly shredded. The portion of rice was too much for me. I later discovered the ginger slices on the table, which added a nice flavor when dipped in the soy-based sauce. Overall, the price of 680 yen seemed reasonable considering the quality of the food and the chain-like service. The atmosphere was pleasant, and it was better than Sakura Suisan. After paying, I was bid farewell by the staff. I later found out that "Teraken Honke" is operated by the same company behind Sakura Suisan, with a focus on meat dishes. It's interesting that they chose this location for their first store. I wonder how long they will last. [Visited on 4/20/2017]

I didn't go to this restaurant because I thought they mainly served fried food, but I was impressed by their sashimi set meal. It's not too crowded after 1 pm, so I will come back for the sashimi set meal!

The basic menu is all 350 yen including tax, which is very cost-effective. There are hidden gems in the daily recommended menu, and the staff are all friendly, making it a place you'll want to visit again.

The miso soup I had for lunch one day was made with clams. I was happy to have ornithine. You can get a large serving of rice.

I had the sashimi set for lunch. It's a shame that they no longer offer unlimited rice.

Second stop at a restaurant with chicken wings, tsukune, and deep-fried eggplant in broth. Also had natto omelette. Surprisingly, the shochu was yellow, even though it was black mist.

Order mistakes are sometimes seen, but the cost performance is excellent. There are plenty of seats, so you can sit without feeling crowded, which is good.
