Accompanied children to Harajuku during summer vacation. Found a popular omurice restaurant loved by girls and kids, so decided to go in. Waited for about 2 groups inside. The atmosphere was calm with classical music playing, which was nice. Many young girls were there, but also a lot of foreigners. I ordered a classic omurice (like the ones from Western-style restaurants). It had a simple and traditional taste. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I ordered the traditional omurice. I think the old-fashioned ones taste the best compared to the trendy ones. Maybe the limited variety sets them apart from other omurice restaurants? It's consistently delicious, so it's a shame they have a small menu! If they had salads or soups, it would be even better!

We left around 12:30 pm, and there was already a line forming, so I recommend avoiding peak hours when visiting.

I continued my stroll from home to Shibuya, visiting the Ota Memorial Museum of Art located behind Laforet Harajuku. The exhibition "Darkness and Light" featured new prints by Kiyochika Kobayashi, as well as works by Yasuji Inoue and Yagumo Ogura. I particularly enjoyed Kobayashi's prints, which beautifully depicted old Tokyo scenes with varying shades of color. The atmosphere was not like the bright and flashy Tokyo of today, but rather highlighted the appreciation of shadows. After enjoying the exhibition, I decided to have lunch and planned to try beef tongue, but the line at the restaurant was too long. I ended up at a nearby restaurant specializing in omurice. I ordered the Cheese Beef Omurice with iced coffee. The restaurant had a casual and cozy atmosphere, and the dish cost 1,400 yen. The omurice was served with beef stew underneath, which I mixed together and ate. It was decent, as expected, but the coffee was disappointing. After the meal, I took a leisurely walk through Meiji Shrine and around the National Stadium before returning to my room. Despite the short outing of about 3 and a half hours, it was much better than being cooped up in my small room all day.

I decided to line up for lunch at Jukuhara even though it was in the 1 o'clock hour and there was a line. I had never tried fluffy souffle omurice before, but I opted for the usual hard omurice. I finished it in a flash, and afterwards, I wanted to order the fluffy souffle.

It was delicious and I finished it in no time. The restaurant was quite crowded, probably because it was dinner time. We were lucky to find a table right away, as it quickly filled up afterwards.

It was past 12:00, but the restaurant had about 70% of its seats filled. I recalled that the other party mentioned they would make a "cheese-filled omurice", and although I'm not particularly fond of cheese, I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Cheese-In Beef Stew Omurice for ¥980 + tax. I enjoyed the omurice in a relaxed atmosphere with classic music playing in the background. If the price was a bit more affordable, I would have been more likely to come back.

The omelette is so fluffy that it makes a swishing sound when you bite into it! It would have been better if the beef stew had a stronger flavor since the omelette itself is not very flavorful. The pancakes are yellow in color and have a strong egg taste. The texture is very fine, and the butter seeped in smoothly. Highly recommended pancakes! ♡

My second son who lives in Osaka came all the way to Tokyo just to get a haircut, so we decided to have lunch together around 12 o'clock after his haircut. He was heading to Narita Airport afterwards, so we decided to eat at this restaurant in the same building as the salon. When we entered, it felt a bit uncomfortable with the somewhat feminine-looking middle-aged man. We ordered the fluffy souffle omelette rice to try to alleviate the discomfort. It was served in less than 10 minutes and when I took a bite, the omelette was too fluffy and the demi-glace sauce had a bit of a 'commercial feel' to it. Hmm. I wonder if this is a chain restaurant. Even if it's commercial, adding a little something at the end in the restaurant would surely make it taste better. Well, maybe it's because it's in a unique location like Harajuku. But, considering the restaurant is emphasizing the eggs in its name, I hope they make some improvements. That's my old lady opinion for today.

I visited this place in Jiyugaoka because they also have a shop there and their pancakes are delicious. This time, I ordered the Omelette Lasagna for dinner. The omelette is fluffy like a souffle, with a thickness of about 3-4cm. It's nice and fluffy, but the flavor is a bit bland. I wish there was more creativity in the taste. The lasagna, probably frozen, is a bit dry and lacking in meat. The combination of the omelette and lasagna doesn't work well. I still think the classic omelette rice is the best. And the dessert pancakes are as delicious as ever.

Since eggs are their specialty, I was looking forward to what they would serve. The pancakes had a slightly firm outer layer due to the generous amount of eggs, but they were rich and chewy. While fluffy pancakes are trendy nowadays, these were also irresistible. Ah, happiness. I wanted to relax and enjoy my full stomach, but seeing the people waiting outside, I felt the urge to leave quickly. It would be nice if there were more waiting areas, but I understand that it might be difficult given the location.

Personally, I prefer a stronger tomato flavor in my ketchup, so I was a bit disappointed. Overall, this omurice is a crowd-pleaser. I visited "SALON Tamago to Watashi Harajuku Store" near Takeshita Street in Harajuku for lunch on a regular day. The restaurant has a large number of seats and is popular among young women. It was quite crowded. I ordered the "Fluffy Souffle Omelette" for 1100 yen. It took about 15 minutes for it to arrive, probably due to the crowd. The omelette overflowed from the brown plate. It was very fluffy and had a hint of buttery richness. Underneath the eggs, there was lasagna, which tasted average. The price seemed a bit high for what I got, but maybe it's because of the location. Overall, it was an okay meal.
