I was looking forward to visiting Imoyasu-san, a sweet potato specialty store with its headquarters in Ibaraki Prefecture. They offer limited edition shaved ice during the summer. In Asakusa, you can enjoy various food items for snacking or souvenirs. This time, I tried the Sweet Potato Sandwich for 600 yen and bought a large roasted sweet potato for around 400 yen. The roasted sweet potato was deliciously sweet and had a generous portion. The sweet potato sandwich had chilled sweet potato that was very sweet and filling. The cream was generously spread all the way to the edges, and although the bread was slightly dry, it all harmonized well and tasted great. The roasted sweet potato was served warm and was dripping with syrup, evident just from looking at it! I fell in love with the moist and sticky texture when I cut it open. Ibaraki Prefecture is the top producer of sweet potatoes in Japan, and the quality is truly exceptional. The taste was absolutely fantastic. I'm happy to see another great sweet potato shop in Asakusa where you can enjoy a sweet potato food tour!

At 518 yen, sweet potato chips (plain) from the sweet potato shop in front of Asakusa Hanayashiki. There was a long line, so I had high expectations, but unfortunately, they lacked flavor and were greasy, not to my liking. I would rate it a 3 this time.

I went to the store right when it opened on Saturday and was the first customer! I originally planned to only order the sweet potato dessert, but they had a limited edition sandwich-like item, so I ended up buying both. Both were incredibly delicious! They were very filling and well worth the price. Whenever I go to Asakusa, I will definitely go back. Personally, out of the 8 dessert places I tried in Asakusa this time, this was the best! They also happily took the trash after we finished eating, which was great!

I tried the sweet potato (450 yen) and the sweet potato caramel (10 pieces for 750 yen). First, the sweet potato was not delicious at all. It did not exceed my expectations. Although it looks small, it actually tastes heavy with a strong sweet potato flavor. It doesn't have any sponge or cream like a Mont Blanc. The taste is quite ordinary, just the taste of sweet potato. Next, the sweet potato caramel was delicious. Although it is not cheap, it is worth buying. It becomes quite soft when it is warm, so it is better to chill it to some extent. When you first eat it, you taste the caramel flavor, but gradually the sweet potato flavor and aroma come out, and it disappears in the end. It is not just in name that it is called "sweet potato caramel" without actually tasting like sweet potato.

I purchased two sweet potatoes. It was a hot day when I visited, but they also had chilled sweet potatoes available, which was irresistible for sweet potato lovers. The Asahi Amajuro (medium sweet) had a perfect sweetness and a smooth texture. The Red Haruka (chilled) was very sticky and sweet, leaning more towards a dessert-like taste due to being chilled.

Head to this place for a food tour in Asakusa. I was drawn to the sweet potato chips but they were sold out while I was in line. Disappointing, but I chose to go with the baked sweet potato instead. There were three types available: sticky, fluffy, and in between. This time, I chose two from the in-between type. They were delicious even considering how hungry I was! It was my first time trying the in-between type, and I think I might get addicted to it. But next time, I want to try the sold-out sweet potato chips and the chilled baked sweet potato.

I bought sweet potato chips. The kids I was with wanted chocolate sauce on them, but I think they're better without it. Even as a fan of dried sweet potatoes, I enjoyed them. I tried some taro chips. They were priced at less than 500 yen, making them quite affordable. I bought them because they looked good for Instagram, but looking back, I regret not getting some simple baked taro for less than 200 yen, which would have been much tastier. The natural sweetness of the ingredients was delicious.

Asakusa has many sweet potato dessert shops. There were customers lining up here as well. I love sweet potatoes, so I lined up without hesitation. I had been trying various foods, so I got some sweet potato chips to go. They tasted just like sweet potatoes. I should have added some sauce for an extra charge. While walking down the street, I noticed everyone holding sweet potato chips that looked delicious, so with my family's approval, I got in line. (There were about 4-5 groups in line). As I waited in line, I also felt like having some roasted sweet potato, so I ended up buying both. The sweet potato chips cost 360 yen, and you could choose from 3 types of sauce for an additional 60 yen: salted butter, chocolate sauce, and caramel sauce. I chose the chocolate sauce (*ˊᵕˋ*). The chips were thinly sliced and crispy, with a satisfying crunch. They were larger than the package and had a good amount to eat. The roasted sweet potato was moist and made from Kanagawa-grown Beniharuka sweet potatoes. It cost 190 yen per 100g, and when asked how big I wanted it, I opted for a medium size for 349 yen Σ('◉⌓◉'). Wow, this is incredibly delicious (°~°)ｳﾏｯ I've always thought supermarket roasted sweet potatoes were tasty, but this is on a whole other level ♡ This might be the first time I've been so impressed by a roasted sweet potato (●︎´▽︎`●︎). It was moist, smooth, and creamy, with a refined sweetness that spreads in your mouth from the moment you taste it ♡ I noticed it was written underneath the product: "High-quality Beniharuka sweet potatoes sourced directly from a reputable farmer who also produces a certain famous brand." Truly a specialty roasted sweet potato shop. I wonder if other places are of this high quality as well (๑°ㅁ°๑)‼ It has a sweetness that far surpasses Annou sweet potatoes and Silk Sweet potatoes. The Beniharuka sweet potatoes were named as such because they are "far" more delicious than other sweet potatoes.
