Located just a 1-minute walk from Iwamotocho Station, this steak shop offers reasonably priced steaks and hamburgers. It was a bit crowded due to an event in Akihabara, but I was able to find a seat easily. They only serve steak, so I ordered the "Hearty Steak 600g for 2200 yen," "Salad S for 198 yen," and a "Highball for 418 yen." The steak was served rare, lightly seared on the outside, and you can cook it further on the hot plate to your liking. The meat had a protein-rich taste. You can choose from 6 sauces (wasabi soy sauce, grated shiso and yuzu pepper, yakiniku, creamy garlic, terimayo). I chose wasabi soy sauce and creamy garlic, but personally, I found them lacking in flavor. It might be better in small amounts, but with 600g, the taste became a bit monotonous. However, for 2200 yen, I think it's a good deal to have a hearty steak. Overall, it's a good option if you want to eat a lot of steak at a low price. Thank you for the meal! ✨

In August, I used to go to the nearby...Ikinari Steak, but the best cost performance for steak is still Steak MAX from the Steak Miyabi Group (^o^)v. The shoulder loin steak of the same quality as Ikinari Steak or Pepper Lunch's Wild Steak is only 1100 yen for 300g, which is cheap, right?! I am always grateful. It's 2200 yen for 600g and 3300 yen for 900g!! I tried the 900g Hero's steak before, but it was too much for me (^^ゞ. At Ikinari Steak, the Wild Steak (Pepper Food Service) is priced at 150g 1,090 yen, 200g 1,390 yen, 300g 1,890 yen, 450g 2,490 yen, and 1 pound steak. At Hero's, the Hero's Steak is priced at 150g 1,100 yen, 200g 1,408 yen, 300g 2,288 yen, 450g 2,728 yen, and 1 pound steak. The Chuck Steak is priced at 900g 4,378 yen, and the 3 pound Chuck Steak is priced at 1200g 6,138 yen. Steak MAX (Steak Miyabi Group) offers the Gutsuri Steak at 150g 858 yen, 300g 1,100 yen, 450g 1,650 yen, and 1 pound steak. It's 840 yen cheaper than Ikinari and 1,078 yen cheaper than Hero's! Steakhouse located on the second floor of a mixed-use building. I didn't know they had four stores in Tokyo. On this day, I visited around 7:00 PM on a Monday. It wasn't crowded, with only three customers at that time. I ordered the "Good Combo" which includes a hearty 300g steak, a 350g hamburger, and 2 pieces of fried chicken. It also comes with rice, soup, salad, and a drink. The steak is cooked rare and served on a hot plate for you to adjust the doneness to your liking. It was a bit difficult to cut at first, but became easier once it cooked a bit more. The hamburger was soft and tender, but not to my taste. The portion size was overwhelming, but I managed to finish it. Overall, a great value for meat lovers. Cash only payment.

I met up with a good friend in Akihabara for the first time in a while and we decided to have lunch together. We remembered Steak Max, located on the second floor of a building along Showa Street, known for being affordable, so we decided to give it a try. It was the first day of a three-day weekend, and as soon as it hit noon, the restaurant quickly filled up and became almost completely full. They offered two types of steaks - a hearty steak and a rib steak. I hesitated but ended up ordering the 300g rib steak. The rice was free and could be upgraded to a large portion, and I was happy to find that it came with free fried chicken as well. The rib steak turned out to be quite tough, requiring some effort to cut even with a knife. I wondered if I should have gone with the hearty steak instead. While it wasn't a mistake to choose a better quality meat, I couldn't help but think that opting for the cheaper option might have been better. My friend's hamburger looked the most delicious out of everything.

The sign is not very noticeable, so you might miss it if you don't know about it. The interior of the restaurant mainly consists of counter seats for solo diners, with a few table seats available. While they offer dishes like hamburgers, curry, and combo meals, the highlight here is definitely the steak. Most customers order the 300g steak for 1100 yen, with a choice of four sauces: yakiniku sauce, garlic, wasabi soy sauce, or yuzu pepper. The steak is served rare, and you can cook it to your liking using the solid fuel provided. This system allows for quick service and ensures that the steak remains hot until the end. Despite some parts being a bit tough or sinewy, the fact that you get to enjoy 300g of steak for this price is a great deal. By showing a coupon from the "Akikaru" website when ordering, you can get a lunch drink for only 110 yen. This steak lunch offers great value for money and is popular among office workers in the area. If this restaurant were near my workplace, I would definitely be a regular customer.

This month is my annual self-reward month, so I came to Akihabara. My goal was to have a hearty 600g steak for 2200 yen at "Steak Miya". This restaurant is well known for their steak sauce. I learned from reviews of Steak Max that you can change the fried chicken to vegetables, so I wanted to make sure the vegetables had flavor. Today, I decided to have the fried chicken replaced with vegetables for my steak lunch. When I entered the restaurant, I saw a flyer on the counter that mentioned a promotion on the AkiCul website. If you access the website and search for Steak Max, you can get a free soft drink for each group, limited to one per meal, until June 30th. Unfortunately, I found out about this after I had already ordered, so I missed out on the offer. If you are planning to visit before the end of next month, I recommend taking advantage of this promotion. The vegetable portion was surprisingly small, so I wonder if ordering 300g twice would increase the amount of vegetables. I will try that next time. As usual, the restaurant suddenly became busy when I arrived, even though it was empty at first. The vegetable platter had no seasoning, so I could season it myself. I enjoyed my meal today. Thank you. I will definitely come back. After the meal, I happened to see that there was a family sale going on in the wholesale district of Higashi-Kanda. I will check out the shops before heading home.

Today, I was in the mood for a hearty steak, so I visited "Steak Max". I arrived around 2:30 pm and the restaurant was about half full. I was seated at the counter and ordered the 450g Steak for 1650 yen, with an extra large serving of rice for 88 yen (I used a coupon this time, so it was free). Rice refills are 110 yen. The steak was served rare, and I could cook it to my liking. It came with 2 pieces of fried chicken, soup, and rice. The soup was just okay, a bit bland. The rice seemed a bit small for a large serving (maybe I've been going to places with huge portions lately, so my perception is off). The fried chicken was okay, but a bit bland. Next time, I might switch it for a salad. I started eating the steak as soon as it was served. It was a bit tough in some parts, but for the price and amount, I was satisfied. The sauce was a typical garlic-flavored steak sauce, or you could use the salt and pepper on the table. If you alternate between the steak and rice, you might run out of rice, so be careful if you don't want a refill. Despite my complaints, I think it's amazing to be able to eat this much steak at this price in Tokyo! From other reviews, it seems the quality of the meat is good. If you time it right, it could be even better value, so I'm looking forward to my next visit. Personally, I prefer hamburgers, so I hope they have more options for that next time I come!

The other day, I went to Steak Gusto, where a 200g steak was around 2000 yen, but recently I've been going to Niku Charge in Akihabara. I used to work part-time at a security company behind Steak Max a long time ago, so Kanda Sudacho always brings back memories. Places like Sudacho and Kaji-cho in East Kanda used to have textile wholesalers where I bought ties and belts. I also did security for the Sanja Matsuri at Kanda Shrine. Oh! Sorry for going off-topic (bitter smile), but the prices for a hearty steak set are: - 330g for 1100 yen - 450g for 1650 yen (about 1 pound) - 600g for 2200 yen - 900g for 3300 yen (about 2 pounds) Even with the round trip transportation costs and some time spent, Akihabara has great cost performance. I've had a 2-pound steak at HERO'S Steak before, but the second half was really tough for me (T_T) (Oh! HERO'S has a nice atmosphere and I like it. Also, I can eat a lot at Juke Steak too). Now, I usually eat around 600g of steak once or twice a month. People like Gal Sone might be able to handle 3 pounds or more, but that's totally impossible for me. With 600g, the steak is already overflowing on the plate, so I can't imagine how 900g would be like (bitter smile). Steak may not be as good as oysters, but it's rich in iron, so I enjoy it as a supplement. I'm not a fan of steak sauce, so I just eat it with lots of black pepper. Occasionally, I sprinkle a little salt to avoid consuming too much salt. I recently found out that you can change fried chicken to vegetables! Since I don't like the oil from fried chicken, I'll go for vegetables next time. Thank you for the delicious meal. I'll be back.

Steak lunch 300g for 1100 yen. While shopping in Akihabara, I decided to have lunch. I climbed the stairs to the second floor, and I think this was the place where they used to serve Fujyama Dragon Curry. That curry was delicious too. This place is quite popular during lunchtime. I have been to the Shinjuku branch before, and I remember it was underground, but here on the second floor, the place feels spacious and well-lit. I was seated promptly. I ordered the 300g steak. The dish that arrived had a chunk of meat with no vegetables, topped with fried chicken. It also came with soup and rice. The food stays hot until the end due to solid fuel. The meat was slightly tough but had a good chewy texture. I prefer this kind of meat over melt-in-your-mouth meat. The 300g chunk was a challenge to chew, but it was satisfying. The sauce was a bit strong, so a little goes a long way. I wished there was wasabi on the table. It was very delicious.

Today is April 2nd, but after being seated, I was given a menu for a Meat Day event limited to 3 days until March 31st. I chose the hefty 600g steak (2200 yen) from the regular menu. The steak was similar to Ikinari Steak or Pepper Lunch's Wild Steak, or Heroes' Chuck Steak maybe? Probably with a lot of marbling but also some lean meat, maybe shoulder loin? It was delicious when I took a bite ⤴ They offer steak prices as follows: 330g for 1100 yen, 450g for 1650 yen (about 1 pound), 600g for 2200 yen, and 900g for 3300 yen (about 2 pounds). I noticed there was an ice pitcher on the counter but no glasses. Eventually, I asked a female staff member, "Where are the glasses?" and she hurriedly brought a glass of water without saying anything. With my one question, water-filled glasses were distributed to everyone in the store (bitter smile). But if they had just left a few glasses on the tables from the beginning, it would have been easier (^_-)-☆ However, the air and floor in the store seemed greasy, so it might be troublesome to leave glasses there. On a regular weekday afternoon around 1 PM, the restaurant is quite crowded. I ordered the 300g The MAX Rib Steak for 2,288 yen, made with US Angus beef. The steak is served sizzling on a hot iron plate, with a solid fuel stove underneath. It comes out extremely rare, almost raw and slightly cold. It takes a while to cook to your preferred doneness when you flip it over. This DIY style of cooking is a bit of a hassle and unnecessary performance. Be careful, as the oil may splatter, especially if you're wearing a white shirt. I feel like the steak should be cooked in the kitchen and then served, as it would definitely taste better that way.

The price is cheap! Extremely cheap! However, that doesn't necessarily mean it's a good value. You get a 300g steak that you cook to your liking right in front of you! The low prices attract a lot of customers, but maybe because of the small staff, they struggle to keep up with cleaning. I realized that you shouldn't compromise just because you want to eat meat. This place is a 5-star! The lunch steak is only 1000 yen for 300g! You can choose fried chicken as a side with vegetables. I arrived at the restaurant at 2:00 PM on a regular day and found three customers inside. I was drawn in by the sign advertising a hearty steak, so I decided to order the 300-gram steak. To my surprise, the meat was taken out of the fridge, quickly fried in a fryer, then immediately transferred to a hot plate for serving. The cooking process only took 3 minutes, which amazed me. The meat was lean with little fat, and most parts were tender, although there were some parts with tough sinew that I couldn't eat. However, considering the price, I was satisfied. The sauce provided was a sweet, barbecue-like sauce, which was the only option available. The side of fried chicken was large and piping hot, which I enjoyed. I would like to see a larger size option for the hamburger next time. Overall, the cost performance was excellent, and I felt that the quality of the meat also depended on luck. This was my third visit to Steak Max. The previous times, I was greeted by cheerful and bright female staff, but this time it was all male staff with a lack of energy in their welcome. You can change the side dish of fried chicken to boiled vegetables, but I kept it as it was since I had a good impression of it last time. Interestingly, all the other customers around me opted for the vegetables. After about 12 minutes, a sizzling iron plate arrived. The Hawaiian-style hamburger was covered in a tomato sauce with plenty of melting cheese, giving it a luxurious feel and a sense of value for the price. Even before tasting it, I had already formed an impression. The hamburger was so tender that it could be cut easily with a fork without needing a knife.
