There are many bakeries in the world. If you're not sure which bakery to go to, be sure to visit Mr. Tanjima's bakery. It's a place that is cheap, delicious, and like the origin of a bakery called Coppepan. Foreign tourists always eat outside. It must be a bread that satisfies the taste buds of foreign tourists. Today was scorching hot, so bread like Mont Blanc melted. But there is no problem with the taste. I love Mr. Tanjima's large, cheap, and delicious sugar-fried bread. I don't know of any sugar-fried bread that surpasses the fried bread at this shop. Every Coppepan is a hit.

I wish this restaurant had more locations because I love their food. I tried it in Kyoto and Asakusa and it was really good and cheap. I enjoy eating food with my hands. Today, I bought a lot of food including souvenirs. But when I stack three of them together, they still get squished. Haha.

At the specialty bakery for Coppepan, there were so many varieties that I was indecisive. The fried and sandwiched Coppepan are large, so it may not be easy for those who want to stroll around Asakusa and eat. However, the Coppepan is chewy with just the right amount of sweetness and delicious. Whether for takeout or dining in, I highly recommend trying it. The meal-type fried Coppepan is smaller, making it easy to eat casually. This time, I ordered the Tuna Mayo Isobe-age, which was a rare flavor. The taste of the ingredients was not as strong as I expected, so I was glad that the taste of the Coppepan came through. The prices are also reasonable considering the quality. If I lived nearby, I would definitely become a regular customer.

Continuing from last time. In the evening, I moved from Ueno to Asakusa. It's hot... with a high of 31°C, it feels like midsummer. The live bar I'm going to allows bringing your own food, so I stroll around Asakusa looking for something to eat. It's so hot. After wandering around for a while, I passed by this shop. It's almost time, and the coppe pan looks delicious... so I decided to go in! The cheese curry pan I wanted was sold out. I bought "Nikujaga Croquette" and "Chicken Nanban with Tartar Sauce" instead. It's almost time for the live show, so I went to the live bar. Before the live started, I ate with my friends. I had the croquette, and my friend had the chicken nanban. It felt like it had been a while since I had bread. The coppe pan was quite filling! It was fluffy with a hint of sweetness. The croquette absorbed some of the sauce and moisture, making it moist and delicious. My friend's chicken nanban looked tasty too! Maybe I should have gone for the shrimp cutlet instead? I ate a lot for lunch, so one coppe pan sandwich was enough to fill me up. It was convenient, delicious, and satisfying. [To be continued]

I wanted to eat at my favorite store "Shrimp Cutlet Egg Sandwich," but it seems they are currently not available due to the sourcing of eggs. Instead, I had a "Cheese Cutlet Sandwich" and a "Cream-filled Doughnut." The Cheese Cutlet Sandwich was hot, filling, and delicious. The Cream-filled Doughnut was packed with cream and felt heavy when held. It had a generous amount of sugar on the outside, giving a strong sweetness. Both went well with an iced cafe latte. There were many foreign customers, and the staff also provided service in English. The store had around three indoor seats and outdoor terrace seating. The atmosphere was stylish and very comfortable. Thank you for the meal.

Mr. Tajima, the baker, has also raised the prices of his bread. He was working so hard, too. But he kept the increase small. The beloved Sugar Coppe has gone up by 10 yen to 150 yen. Still cheap. I've searched for many delicious Sugar Coppe breads, but there's none that surpasses Mr. Tajima's. They don't get stale quickly either. Also, the Melon Coppe is delicious. Well, I think all of Mr. Tajima's Coppe breads are delicious.

I knew this place was here for a while, but I never had the chance to buy bread. I saw it being introduced by the Sumazu duo on YouTube, so I decided to check it out. They have a variety of sweet and savory coppe bread, and you can eat in or take out. It's quite interesting.

I had lunch in Asakusa with my friends, and on the way back, we stopped by this nostalgic bakery. I bought the "Matcha Tea Soda" for 250 yen, which was our main purpose. The "Fried Coppe Kinake" for 150 yen in the display case looked delicious, so I bought it for breakfast. The Matcha Tea Soda was lightly sweetened and refreshing because it was mixed with strong carbonated water. The Coppe bread was left in the refrigerator overnight but when reheated in the microwave, it was still fluffy and delicious in the morning.

On the way back after eating eel, I encountered this shop in Asakusa. It was night, so I bought the last kinako coppe bread without hesitation. It was quite big, yet only 200 yen with change back, which is nice these days. I'll have it for breakfast tomorrow. The next morning, I brewed coffee and carefully took a bite to avoid dropping the kinako. The kinako was not too sweet, just right. I used to be happy when this bread was served in school lunches. I reminisced while the morning passed.

Today was hot, so the cream of the strawberry cream cheese coppe melted. I ended up buying 1000 yen worth of bread because you get one free with a purchase of 1000 yen. The strawberry cream cheese coppe is delicious. The other bread is also delicious. The coppe bread from Mr. Tajima's bakery is bigger than any other store. Big. Moreover, it is rare to find a bakery that generously spreads cream or jam on their bread like this. And, the prices are cheap! It is rare to find a bakery where one piece is enough to fill you up. Anyway, the volume of all the bread is amazing. I always only buy sweet coppe bread, but there are just as many varieties of savory coppe bread. If you want to eat coppe bread, it has to be Mr. Tajima's bakery.

Mr. Pan's specialty is Coppe Pan. When you order, they generously spread the filling right there. There are dozens of varieties available. The Melon Coppe Pan is also delicious. This time, I purchased the Sugar Fried Bread, Strawberry Jam & Margarine Coppe Pan, and Red Bean Paste & Margarine Coppe Pan. The Sugar Fried Bread is incredibly delicious, no complaints there. I appreciate that they honestly label it as margarine, not butter. The jam and margarine are spread generously inside. It's a big difference from the department store bread I had yesterday in terms of jam quantity. Plus, Mr. Pan's Coppe Pan is unique and incredibly tasty. While many other bakeries are raising their prices, Mr. Pan has kept their prices the same, which is truly appreciated. However, my favorite Strawberry Jam Coppe Pan is still from Hato Bakery. I believe they use a more expensive and delicious strawberry jam.

Tanoshima Bakery is a bakery where you will find yourself coming back again and again. Their Sugar Fried Bread for only 140 yen is absolutely delicious. If you're craving the fried bread from your school days, be sure to visit Tanoshima-san. On the 10th of each month, they offer a special limited edition Coppe Pan for only 100 yen each. Be careful not to buy too many, as they are so tasty you might overeat. The Melon Coppe Pan is also a must-try. Their bread that they spread toppings on right in front of you is all delicious. Despite the low prices, the quality of their bread is exceptional. With many bakeries raising their prices, it's refreshing to see Tanoshima Bakery keeping their prices affordable. It's a popular spot for foreign tourists, who enjoy sitting outside on the terrace with Doutor Coffee (collaboration) or 100% fruit juice. You must visit and try their bread.

Today I visited Asakusa. I wandered around a bit and around 3 pm, I came to Pandajima in search of their Coppe Melon Pan. However, they were already sold out of it. It's such a popular item! I decided to try their Coppe Shu Donut instead. The fluffy donut paired perfectly with the cream filling. It was very delicious, but I still wanted to try the Coppe Melon Pan. Next time, I'll come earlier! Thank you for the meal.

[January 2022 Bread Adventure♪] I had to make a brief appearance at a weekend event, so I showed my face for a bit and then went out for drinks with friends. The next day, I had a reservation at a restaurant in Tokyo, so I stayed overnight in Tokyo. With a day to spare, I walked about 8 km from my accommodation to Asakusa for a stroll. I bought a curry bread on the way, but felt a bit lonely with just that, so on my way back to Ueno, I indulged in some fried bread. I bought the following two items for breakfast: ・Soft-boiled Egg Beef Stew Bread (220 yen) - The thin crust had plenty of filling, and the soft-boiled egg did a great job. ・Piroshki (220 yen) - The meaty minced meat filling was delicious. Total: 440 yen The next day, I had a breakfast of fried bread, and even though my wife, who usually doesn't eat lunch on holidays, didn't get hungry until the evening. Location: Right after exiting the A exit of Tsukuba Express Asakusa Station, at the intersection of Kaminarimon 1-chome, Asakusa.

The photo is of a blurred chestnut cream donut. It's from a bakery in Asakusa Rokku. The fluffy bread is the main attraction, but not very convenient for carrying around, so I opted for the pack to take home. The dough is like fried bread, with a crispy sugar coating. The chestnut cream has a generous amount of whipped cream, giving it a smooth and rich flavor. The light cream goes well with the soft bread.

Today, after a long time, I visited "Pan no Tajima Asakusa ROX store". This is my second time here, so I decided to try the Coppe Pan series instead of the sweet series. I ordered the basic Kinako Coppe Pan and the Ham Tamago Sandwich. The volume of the Ham Tamago Sandwich was the strongest I've ever seen, this shop really has great customer service. Even with just two items, there was a considerable amount of food, and I felt the cost performance was good. The staff members were also very kind and their smiles were very comforting. Thank you for the meal.

I was waiting at the reception to place an order, but the staff ignored me. I waited for about 3 minutes, but nothing happened, so I called out and was told to "please wait." The service felt very cold. I took home a Coppepan with teriyaki chicken, Mont Blanc, and Porcini cream gratin. The bread was fluffy and delicious. The Mont Blanc didn't taste like chestnut, just a sweet bread. The Porcini cream gratin had very little cream, and most of it was tasteless penne pasta.

I visited Mr. Tajima's bread shop in Asakusa for the first time. There were so many options that I couldn't decide, but I ended up choosing the corned beef potato. It was delicious, cheap, and just the right amount. It felt more affordable compared to the popular burger chain nearby that I usually go to. I wish I had noticed this place sooner (laughs).

Having lunch in Asakusa. I didn't have time to dine in, so I decided to get a takeout. I went to Mr. Shimada's bakery. It has a French bakery style, perhaps because of the connection to Buddhism in Asakusa. They specialize in "coppe pan" (a type of bread roll). They offer various fillings like strawberry jam with butter, red bean paste with butter, and other classic options for those who love Showa-era bread. This time, I chose a coppe pan with shrimp and avocado, which was light and delicious. The coppe pan was about 24-25 cm long and 10 cm wide, a typical size. It was soft and fluffy, unlike the hard coppe pan I had in elementary school. The avocado was creamy, the shrimp was firm, and the mayonnaise sauce was tasty. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also felt like trying their curry pan next time. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

This is a specialty shop in Asakusa that sells coppe pan (Japanese bread rolls). They offer a variety of coppe pan including snack coppe pan, side dish coppe pan, as well as fried bread and items like curry pan and piroshki. They also serve drinks and have a few seats inside and on the terrace for eating in. On this day, I was planning to make a pork cutlet sandwich, so I bought a "fruit mix sandwich" for dessert. I also found some regular bread rolls and purchased those as well. The fruit mix sandwich had a fluffy bread with a refreshing cream, various fruits, and jam that paired perfectly and was delicious! The bread rolls were also fluffy and made for tasty sandwiches. I enjoyed the fruit sandwich so much that I revisited a few days later. This time, I also bought some fried coppe bread which was crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, and it was delicious. I found a great shop! Thank you for the meal.
