Revisited. It's really hard to find open restaurants by the 30th of the month. So, ended up coming here since other places were closed. Well, you can't go wrong here. I ordered a set with water dumplings and oil-splashed chicken for 1100 yen. One person in my group got a set with pan-fried dumplings only, and another got a set with oil-splashed chicken only. My dish looked more luxurious, as expected! Oil-splashed chicken is often sliced vertically, but here it's more like fried chicken with sauce poured over it. The sesame sauce for the water dumplings was a bit different than I imagined. I thought it would be a vinegar soy sauce base, but it was slightly red in color. Not sure what it was. I was expecting the dumplings to come in a soup form, but they were just boiled in the normal dumpling shape. I think this has a more satisfying texture. Again, I debated about the amount of rice, but ended up not reducing it. Delicious side dishes make the rice go down so easily. The soup with shiitake mushrooms was also tasty, and I still think this place and Konro are the best lunch spots around here. Today, I'm full again. The afternoon work will be a battle against drowsiness. I ate out a lot in 2022. I'll cook for New Year's Eve after a long time. In 2023, I'll explore Kanda.

Today is the day of the Ebisu Bon Odori. An event that hasn't been held for several years due to the coronavirus is back after a long time. The station area is crowded with many people enjoying the Bon Odori, some dancing and some drinking while having a good time. It feels like daily life is back. After watching the Bon Odori, we went to this restaurant for a meal. Beer and gyoza are the best combination. We ordered the classic Ebisu gyoza, seafood gyoza, and beef gyoza, all of which were delicious. They are large and filled with plenty of ingredients. We also had Chorogi salad, mapo tofu, and mixed seafood fried rice, which were more than enough for two people. It's a restaurant that is convenient for everyday use. Thank you for the meal! :)

I went to "Daitoyuki," known for its large and juicy dumplings! Their specialty is the pan-fried dumplings, which come in four varieties to choose from. There's the classic "Ebisu Dumplings," the "Seafood Delight Dumplings" with large succulent shrimp, the "Domestic Beef Dumplings" packed with juicy beef flavor, and the "Tuna Avocado Dumplings" for a healthy twist with wasabi. Each dumpling is generously sized, providing a satisfying eating experience. Located just a few minutes walk from Ebisu Station, this restaurant offers quick and casual Chinese cuisine. They also offer reasonably priced highballs and other drinks, making it a convenient spot for a casual drink or two!

A Chinese restaurant famous for its dumplings is located a short walk from Ebisu Station, under the elevated train tracks. The dumplings are large and can be adjusted for the number of people. We also ordered mapo tofu and bang bang chicken. The spiciness was mild, maybe because we are used to eating spicy food.笑

I casually dropped by for some drinks and food in the evening. I didn't have a reservation, but luckily managed to get a table at the right time. I ordered the following items: Asahi draft beer, which had a bit of foam as it was crowded. The Shredded Pork with Green Peppers was a bit oily and salty, but the peppers were crunchy and delicious. The original Ebisu Gyoza was filled with minced meat and vegetables, and the skin was crispy. The Tuna Avocado Gyoza came with wasabi on the side, and dipping it in soy vinegar with wasabi was a popular choice among women. The Hot and Sour Noodle soup had a strong spicy oil flavor with a hint of vinegar, and plenty of ingredients including mushrooms. It seems like it's easier to get in on weekdays, but it's better to make a reservation for Friday and Saturday evenings. Thank you for the meal.

I enjoyed a meal at this restaurant the other day. The dumplings were large and had a taste similar to shumai, but they were very delicious. They were very satisfying to eat. Also, the five-flavor fried rice was a very delicious dish. Especially, the crunchy texture of the onions was good, and the taste was well-balanced. Finally, the Bang Bang Bungee Salad was excellent, with a perfect seasoning. However, the restaurant had many customers enjoying alcohol, creating a lively and noisy atmosphere, so it might be a bit difficult for those looking for a quiet meal. Nevertheless, I recommend it to those who can overlook that in exchange for delicious food.

I watched a musical at Theater Alpha Tokyo on this day. After it ended, three of us decided to have a drink on the way back to the station. It was almost 9 pm, but the restaurant was still bustling. We were seated at a table at the back of the long and narrow restaurant. We started with a draft beer (540 yen) and cheers! It was a slim Asahi Super Dry glass. We tried four types of Ebisu Gyoza, with two pieces each: Original Ebisu Gyoza (400 yen), Seafood Gyoza (460 yen), Domestic Beef Gyoza (420 yen), and Tuna Avocado Gyoza (540 yen). The gyoza were plump and juicy with plenty of filling. For drink refills, we had a Square Highball (490 yen), Rich Highball (490 yen), Green Gin Soda (490 yen), Umeshu Sour (480 yen), and then I tried the Furukoshi Ryuzan Ginryu (490 yen). It seems like I was the only one drinking it. We also had 3 Xiao Long Bao (660 yen) and Five-Ingredient Black Fried Rice (890 yen). Despite being near the station, it was a wholesome gyoza and sake bar with last order at 10 pm. It is a business format of Soko Corporation, which operates various establishments in Ebisu such as Mon, Fujimon, JAPANESE GELATERIA & CAFE ASANOHA, and Hichinai Chicken Specialty Ebisu Hichinitei.

I recommend trying the five different types of delicious dumplings at this Chinese restaurant. They offer a variety of drinks like Mega Highball and Lemon Sour. The interior of the restaurant is quite small with limited seating, so expect to be seated close to other customers.

Lunch■ Green pepper pork strips set meal ¥1,000 (tax included) "Ebisu Gyoza Daifukuki" is a Chinese restaurant chain centered around Ebisu Station. The main branch, Ebisu Honkan, is just a few minutes' walk from the west exit of Ebisu Station. I visited during the weekend lunchtime. Although the restaurant mainly focuses on dumplings, they also offer a variety of Chinese dishes for lunch. I ordered the green pepper pork strips set meal. It arrived in a few minutes. At first glance, it doesn't look like green pepper pork strips at all. It's more like a stir-fry with bean sprouts. This dish is a unique version of green pepper pork strips, with bean sprouts as the main ingredient instead of green peppers. In addition to bean sprouts, it also includes onions, bamboo shoots, and pork. While the seasoning is indeed for green pepper pork strips, the lack of green peppers makes it feel different. The set meal also comes with egg soup, glass noodle appetizer, and one shumai dumpling. It's a bit strange to have shumai when the restaurant is known for its dumplings. They should consider including a dumpling to promote their specialty. The white rice served with the meal is generously portioned and free for seconds. The rice itself is not particularly delicious as it is kept warm. This place might be better suited for enjoying some dumplings with drinks in the evening.

After leaving the first stop at "Tsubushitate Yakitori Omicchan," we headed to the second stop for today's farewell party. The retiring colleague chose the restaurant, and we visited "Ebisu Gyoza Daifukuki." I knew there was a store on the main street, but I didn't know there was a main branch here! We arrived at 7:00 PM. The small restaurant had tables for about four people each. At this time, there were only two groups of about four people each, with a few more customers coming and going. We looked at the menu and ordered the following: [Menu] - Highball (whiskey soda) x3 - 490 yen each - Sanzashi sake - 500 yen - Original Ebisu Gyoza (2 pieces) - 400 yen - Beef Gyoza (2 pieces) - 420 yen - Water Gyoza (4 pieces) - 590 yen - Daikon Mochi (2 pieces) - 590 yen - Fried Gyoza (2 pieces) - 540 yen For drinks at the second stop, my colleague chose Sanzashi sake, and I had a highball. We both ended up having two highballs each. [Original Ebisu Gyoza] The gyoza was large, with the filling not mixed but rather large pieces of ingredients combined. It felt different from regular gyoza, and it was delicious. [Beef Gyoza] The beef was lean, making it difficult for the broth to come out. The taste was mild, with the skin overpowering the filling. [Water Gyoza] These gyoza had a cohesive filling, chewy and smooth skin, and a sauce made with ground sesame and chili oil, giving it a unique taste resembling tantanmen. [Daikon Mochi] Personally, I love this dish and always order it when available. It seemed to be made by combining grated daikon radish and potato starch, steaming, and then grilling it. It was chewy, light, and had an indescribable deliciousness. [Fried Gyoza] The skin of these gyoza was wrapped in the same skin used for sesame dumplings in dim sum, giving it a chewy texture. It was a fantastic twist on the traditional fried gyoza. [Recommended Dish] - Original Ebisu Gyoza! It's the restaurant's signature dish and definitely a step above regular gyoza. [Editor's Note] - Visit Time Eatery Score: 3.38 - Simple ideas can elevate the taste of dim sum dishes. - Despite the small size of the restaurant, there is plenty of creativity in the dishes. [Ratings] Overall: 3.6 Taste: 4.5 Service: 3.5 Atmosphere: 3.5 Value: 3 Drinks: 3 Thank you for the delicious gyoza. Itadakimasu. Looking forward to trying the noodles next time!

I personally liked the tuna avocado dumplings more than the original Ebisu dumplings. I learned that putting wasabi on dumplings is also delicious. The stir-fried green pepper and pork we had together had a thick sauce and was consistently tasty. The restaurant is long and should have a good view, but it was hard to get the attention of the staff since they didn't come out of the kitchen often.

I stumbled upon this Chinese restaurant while drinking in Ebisu. I thought it was a gyoza izakaya at first, but it turned out to be a Chinese restaurant! I ended up ordering Hoikoro, and although the gyoza was a bit pricey, when it arrived at my table, I was satisfied. The gyoza was packed with filling and had a satisfying bite to it! The tuna avocado gyoza was delicious, with a juicy filling that didn't feel much different from the meat filling. The restaurant was lively and had a clean atmosphere. It was my third stop of the night, so I couldn't eat much, but I definitely want to come back again. Thank you for the meal!

A few minutes' walk from Ebisu Station, this place is probably the main building as it is named "Honkan". I visited on a Sunday around 9 pm. The restaurant is long and narrow, with tables lined up towards the back. There are sofa seats along the walls. It doesn't feel too cramped for an izakaya. It seems slightly smaller than the 2nd branch located near the east exit. The menu is mostly the same as the 2nd branch, offering gyoza, other appetizers, fried foods, and Chinese dishes like "青椒肉絲". Since it was my third stop of the night, I didn't need much food, so I ordered the standard pan-fried gyoza, spicy sesame sauce water dumplings, and salted cucumber with sesame sauce. The pan-fried gyoza was just average, not very juicy. It felt a bit lacking for a signature dish. The water dumplings had a chewy skin and the spicy sesame sauce was good. I usually only eat gyoza, so I have no idea how their other dishes are like. If I come back next time, I'd like to try something else.

I visited the main branch of a restaurant near my home that I had been curious about. The dumpling skins were chewy and delicious. I tried the original, seafood, and beef dumplings, but personally, I think the original ones are the best. The boiled dumplings were also tasty. As someone who loves Sichuan peppercorns, I found the mapo tofu to be lacking in flavor.

I searched on Tabelog for a restaurant to have lunch in Ebisu and visited. The tamago and shrimp were attractive. I was also interested in the gyoza. Since there was no lunch set with fried rice and gyoza, I ordered them separately. It was 11:50 for lunch and I was the only customer. The gyoza arrived first. I tried a bite without adding anything. It was delicious, with shrimp inside. Next, I tried dipping it in vinegar soy sauce. Oh, it's better without the sauce. The fried rice arrived next. The fluffy egg and shrimp were delicious. The fried rice was abnormally hot. Oh, this is not to my liking!! At 12:15, a couple entered. It was a good meal.

I went to lunch with people from the company. It was around 1 pm on a weekday, past the peak lunch hour, but there were still about three groups of customers. There were many options for lunch, but I decided to try the Five-Ingredient Fried Rice set (tax included 1000 yen). We also ordered Ebisu dumplings to share. *Two dumplings per plate. The Five-Ingredient Fried Rice had fluffy rice that was easy to eat. It had not only meat but also seafood, making it luxurious. The set also came with fried chicken, pickles, shumai, and egg soup, so I was full! The Ebisu dumplings had a cute, plump shape with plenty of filling inside. The shrimp flavor was strong, and I could have eaten many more! The staff was a bit cold, but the food was excellent!

Shrimp with mayonnaise sauce ¥980 Colorful bell pepper Chinjao rosu ¥980 Domestic beef dumplings 2 pieces ¥420 These dumplings are big and satisfying, packed with plenty of meat and strong flavor. Seafood dumplings 2 pieces ¥460 Dumplings filled with shrimp, squid, and scallops. Original Ebisu dumplings 2 pieces ¥400 These dumplings have a well-seasoned taste and are delicious on their own. Although not seafood dumplings, they also contain succulent shrimp, which seafood lovers will appreciate. I liked the basic one the most. All dumplings do not contain garlic. They may seem a bit pricy at over 200 yen per piece, but they are quite satisfying.

I used it for dinner. The distance between the seats was a bit close to the next one. However, I chose the course menu with all-you-can-drink, and the cost performance was very good. The alcohol was a bit weak by chance, but the food was delicious. All the dishes were tasty and had a good volume, so they were satisfying. It might be a bit too much for women. I forgot to take a picture of the appetizers, which were saliva chicken and jellyfish. There were two types of dumplings, both with plenty of filling. I could taste the shrimp well. There were also soup dumplings, spring rolls, and fried shrimp. The shrimp chili was surprisingly large. The fried rice was delicious, but I could hardly finish it. I was amazed by the price of 3800 yen for this volume of food. The food was delicious, so I would like to visit again.

Visited the original Ebisu Gyoza for lunch around 2 pm. There was only one customer before me. I ordered the signature Ebisu Gyoza lunch set, which was prominently displayed on the signboard outside the store. The menu stated that it would take about 15 minutes. After a while, the set arrived. The gyoza was huge and tightly packed. The thickness when viewed from the side was impressive. Following the advice of the staff to eat the first one without any condiments, I took a bite. The ginger flavor was strong, and the filling was surprisingly light. The texture of the meat was chunky, and the umami of the small shrimp added to the overall taste. Although the gyoza was large, it was easy to eat quickly. There wasn't a lot of meat juice. I regretted getting the large portion as it didn't pair well with rice. The overall appearance was a bit lackluster, and the rice was disappointingly dry. I am unsure if I would revisit the restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

The dumplings had several different flavors, were big, juicy, and filling. We also ordered a salad, which was delicious! While the cost performance may not be the best, the taste was undeniable. The restaurant was cozy and had just the right amount of liveliness.
