I ordered the afternoon tea that I had been curious about for a while. As shown in the picture, the bottom tier consisted of scones, quiche, and mini mini burgers. This alone was quite filling. The top tier contained sweets such as two-layered jelly, fluffy chiffon cake, chestnut choux, and a mini chestnut cream parfait, which is a lot for one person to finish in one go (individual differences may apply, haha). It's a good amount to share between two people. The set also comes with a drink, so it's good value for money. The salon is always busy, but it's a relaxing place to spend time.

The entrance was a bit hard to find. The customers around were mostly older, but the service was very polite and satisfying. The food was delicious. However, I felt like the portion of tea was a bit small.

In the midst of the scorching summer heat, I had a strong craving for soft serve ice cream after lunch, so I decided to visit the place that was closest according to a Google search. It was located on the M2 floor, which is up the stairs from the 1st floor of Odakyu HALC. Upon arrival, the outdoor sign only advertised afternoon tea sets. Feeling unsure, I checked the official website on the spot, but there was no mention of soft serve ice cream, only cakes. I decided to ask inside, but no one came to assist me, leaving me feeling anxious. It was a weekday afternoon, yet the place was almost full with customers ordering cake sets and afternoon tea sets. I considered leaving as Google might have provided incorrect information, but I mustered up the courage to proceed inside. To my surprise, there was a cake showcase at the back, but still no mention of soft serve ice cream. When I asked a staff member if they were serving soft serve ice cream for takeout, they confirmed that they were, despite the lack of information. I realized later that there were two entrances, both without any staff present. They offered Royal Milk Tea and Vanilla flavors, but there was no menu available. When I inquired about the price, they did not provide an explanation. I opted for Royal Milk Tea soft serve ice cream in a cone, which cost 450 yen. I was instructed to wait at a seat inside, but was then directed to a different seat closer to the entrance. The ice cream had a distinct tea flavor but was light on creaminess, causing it to melt quickly in the extreme heat. The cone was made of a cookie-like material, which softened easily and absorbed moisture from the ice cream, making it prone to crumbling. Despite the lack of guidance upon entry and the ordering process, I managed to enjoy the unique tea-flavored soft serve ice cream. I regretted not eating it in a cooler area initially. Overall, the ice cream was tasty, and I appreciated the cookie cone, but it could have been creamier. I would consider returning in the future for the affordable afternoon tea sets with friends.

Before the pandemic, I had visited this place a few times, but I remember it having a different name...? Then, after seeing a food blogger's post, I recalled that it was called "Colonban". During the pandemic, Odakyu HALC seemed to be half closed, so it had changed quite a bit when I visited after a long time. The golf wear shop on the first floor was completely gone, and there was now a cosmetics section in the basement, so it felt like a completely different place (laughs). Now, looking for a place in the Shinjuku area where we could have afternoon tea, my partner found this place. It seems that popular chain hotels are always fully booked, so I wonder why they are so popular... This place doesn't require reservations, so it was a gamble to just walk in, but luckily we were able to enter without waiting. Afternoon tea set for ¥2600 (excluding tax). You can choose your tea from the drink menu that comes with the cake set, and this time I chose a berry-flavored tea. The tea is served in a pot, but refills are not included. I see, that's why it's this price... On the other hand, the food is served in two tiers, with sweets on top and savory items on the bottom. Starting with the savory items: corn sandwich, quiche, scones with butter and blueberry jam. For sweets, there was lemon chiffon cake, mango eclair, lemon macaron, coconut baked goods, and mango pudding. The corn sandwich was surprisingly interesting. The sweets had lemon or mango flavors, perfect for summer and refreshing. Apart from the lack of free-flowing drinks, this place is high cost-performance due to its location, making it convenient to visit.

Today I came here for a junior colleague's wedding celebration. Congratulations to the junior colleague! Afternoon tea in Tokyo is expensive, but this place is reasonable so I made a reservation thinking I could treat them. Be careful because you can only access the 2nd floor by stairs. I got lost on the way. The interior of the restaurant had roses and deep red chairs, giving a sense of luxury. From late May, they have a summer afternoon tea set with lots of summer fruit sweets like mango. The menu changes with the seasons. The spring strawberries were good. The food wasn't that delicious, but it was nicely presented on a two-tier tray which was exciting. For the price, on a weekend afternoon, they let us stay for over 3 and a half hours so we could talk leisurely, which I think is worth it. And, when I mentioned it was a celebration for my junior colleague's wedding, they surprised us with a plate on a sharing dish. It was super cute and my junior colleague was very happy. This place is perfect for those who want to enjoy afternoon tea in Tokyo at a reasonable price. There were also many people who seemed like they were on blind dates. I wonder where I will go for my next meal. Buco buco buco~ (＾・∞・＾)

I went on a Saturday afternoon without a reservation and had a short wait at the entrance, but was quickly seated. I had the Spring Afternoon Tea Set (2,640 yen). The drink was iced Assam tea. The cucumber sandwich with caviar was delicious. The scones were quite sweet, served with only strawberry jam. The quiche was a bit different from the menu photo. The kouglof and macarons were quite sweet, but it was just right since I didn't add any simple syrup to the tea (or it didn't come with it). The petit choux was cute and tasty. I want to come back next week when they change to the summer menu.

I always end up wandering around the Hulk mall before finally finding this cafe on the second floor that I wanted to visit again. This time, I had a cake set with Assam Royal Milk Tea and Milk Crepe. The elegant flavors allowed me to spend a relaxing time. I might try their afternoon tea set next time. Look forward to it!

On a holiday around 4 pm, I arrived at the restaurant with 4 people and waited for about 15 minutes to be seated. I ordered a set of scones and tea. The scones were moist and delicious. The chairs were comfortable and the interior of the restaurant was spacious, so it was nice to relax and stay with friends.

Shinjuku☆Delicious Black Tea(⁠^⁠^⁠) On this day, I went to Shinjuku with my sister, which we rarely do (laughs). We made a reservation and went to this shop♪ Excited for the afternoon tea! The price of ¥2640 was reasonable for today. I chose Assam tea as my drink♪ The afternoon tea was... as expected (laughs). The Assam tea was rich and delicious (⁠^⁠‿⁠^⁠). I ordered a coffee as well since the tea had cooled down. By the time we left, the shop was full of women! Despite the crowd, the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. If I have the chance, I would like to try their cakes next time (⁠^⁠^⁠). Thank you for the meal (⁠◕⁠ᴗ⁠◕⁠).

The seating area is spacious, the tea is delicious, it's a favorite place of mine. You can relax quietly here. It's hard to find a place in Shinjuku where you can leisurely enjoy tea, so it's a valuable spot. On this day, I had the half cake set. They also serve lunch, but I always end up visiting for tea time only. I hope to try their afternoon tea set someday.

One of the things that I suddenly crave is the "Chestnut and Mont Blanc" cake from Le Salon de Nina's Odakyu Department Store (formerly Odakyu HALC) in front of Shinjuku Station West Exit, priced at 682 yen. This time, driven by my desire to eat it, I also added a Classic Chocolate cake to the set that already had the Mont Blanc. The cake set allows you to choose a soft drink specified by the shop and your favorite cake, with prices varying based on the individual cakes. This time, the Mont Blanc and "Today's Black Tea" set cost 1409 yen, and adding the Classic Chocolate priced at 715 yen brought the total to 2124 yen. The Mont Blanc cake is voluminous and allows you to enjoy the mix of Japanese and Western chestnuts while indulging in a sweet moment. The Classic Chocolate cake is rich and bitter, with plenty of chocolate complemented perfectly by the lightly whipped cream. The black tea of the day, flavored with apricot and vanilla, is exceptional, with each sip bringing a hint of apricot first followed by a subtle vanilla aftertaste. The tea is served in a large cup. Additionally, the restaurant also serves delicious lunch dishes.

Recently, I have been using this place a lot, especially when I went to Shinjuku alone on a Saturday or most recently with a friend. After watching a movie that ended at 3 o'clock, we tried a couple of other places but they were fully booked or had long lines, so we ended up here. There were a few groups waiting, but we were able to find seats. I always end up ordering the same thing every time, but I love the Half & Half Cake Set for 1,630 yen including tax. You can choose two types of cakes, but I have chosen the same ones all three times recently - Rose and Raspberry chiffon & mille-feuille. I love the fluffy chiffon cake with the scent of roses, it makes me feel elegant. The soft cream that comes with it is great to put on the cake or eat in between bites. The taste and service are always reliable here, and the atmosphere is nice. I feel like you can't go wrong coming here. Next time, I might have brunch here and then have some sweets at Afternoon Tea Room. Oh, and separate billing is possible here.

This is a point up. This time, I was guided smoothly without any waiting time. I used it for a meeting, and it's easy to enter even if you're alone. When I asked to move to the next corner seat, they kindly agreed. I ordered apple pie and today's flavor tea. The cup size is generous, which is nice. Both the cake and the tea are delicious. I would like to use it for a meeting again. Thank you for the meal!

I was looking for a place to have tea with a friend and decided to visit Hulk based on the floor map. It was a bit confusing that you can only enter Hulk from the outside, but we managed to find seats easily even though it looked full from the outside. It was about 90% crowded during weekday tea time, with both female customers and business men. The pink interior was inviting, and I could see tea enthusiasts enjoying their tea without hesitation. I ordered the Shortcake Set for ¥1,463, which included cake and a drink. The cake was delicious, but I felt that there were limited options for warm tea considering it's a specialty tea shop – they only had the daily flavor and Assam. They served the tea in large cups instead of a pot. As I enjoyed my cake and Assam, I ended up ordering a refill of the daily flavor tea (+¥330), which turned out to be a very elegant vanilla flavor that paired well with any cake. I didn't know beforehand, but it seems that Hulk specializes in flavored teas. Despite some minor issues, having a cafe near Shinjuku station where you don't have to wait in line is a rare find. I would like to come back next time to try their scone set.

Nina's in Shinjuku Odakyu 2nd floor is conveniently located near the station, making it easy to access during a transfer from Seibu Shinjuku to Shinjuku. The view from the window overlooks a mixture of buildings, which is understandable. It's a rare find with only three locations in Japan. The French tea shop is decorated in pink with cute rose decorations. The clientele includes ladies, gentlemen, and older men. The teacups are still oversized, which is amusing. The atmosphere and clientele at this Nina's are different from the one in Murayama, making it more appealing to me personally.

I had some free time and received a gift certificate, so I decided to treat myself to a luxurious break. It was snack time, so I had to wait for about two groups ahead of me. I chose a rose Versailles tea, and for scones, I had plain and Earl Grey flavors. It was a bit unusual to have powdered sugar on top. The jam was a bit jelly-like.

I was able to visit Nina's in Hulk, which I hadn't been to in a while since it reopened in October! I love their afternoon tea, it's great value for money. Especially the seasonal afternoon tea they have now is so cute in pink, just looking at it gets me excited. The shop and displays are lovely, being in that space alone makes me feel happy ❤️
