I revisited the barber shop "Hiro Ginza" in Ginza on September 18, 2023, and had my hair cut into a fade style. Instead of just heading home afterwards, I decided to enjoy an apéritif. An apéritif is a drink enjoyed after work to help you relax and leave work behind before heading home. In Japan, there is a tradition of standing bars, but many people tend to stay for a long time, so it's questionable whether it truly qualifies as an apéritif. I recommend watching the reel video on Instagram to get a sense of the atmosphere. They offer champagne, white wine, and Camembert cheese for a total of 2,700 yen. The drinks are of good quality, so the price is reasonable. The shop is conveniently located near Yurakucho Station, and they have a wide selection of wine and sake. It's a stylish place where you can enjoy a drink before heading home. Since I visit the barber shop once a month, I plan to continue enjoying apéritifs regularly in the future.

After watching a movie, I wanted to savor the afterglow a little, so I decided to walk from Yurakucho to Tokyo Station. The cafes were all crowded on my day off, so I opted for a standing bar by myself. The lingering summer heat was still intense, and although I thought champagne would be nice, I decided to go with Kuro Ryu's autumn sake instead, paired with miso-pickled cheese. I gazed outside through the glass, reflecting on the departing summer. The standing bar, tucked away in the back of a retail store, is a great place to casually drop by and learn about different types of alcohol.

After picking up my son's custom suit in Ginza, we decided to stop by for a drink. My son had a glass of white wine while I enjoyed some chilled sake. The white wine was just right on a hot summer day. It made me happy to see my son, now over 20 years old, enjoying alcohol and being able to eat pickled fuki no tou and miso cheese. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Thank you for the delicious meal.

At the liquor store/standing bar "Kimijimaya" in Ginza, I tried the "Okuyoshikawa Namamizu Junmai Daiginjo" and "Juyondai Tatsunootokoko Junmai Ginjo". These are high-quality sake made by polishing Yamada Nishiki rice, which is rich in minerals and is harvested in the Okuyoshikawa area, up to 35%. The refined taste was irresistible. Although these Japanese sake are quite expensive if bought by the bottle (720ml for ¥16,500 or 1800ml for ¥33,000), you can enjoy them by the glass for ¥1,300 at the bar. This is a unique offering of a liquor store.
The variety called "Tatsunootokoko" is the brand name of the rice that Takagi Shuzo, the brewery that produces Juyondai, spent 18 years developing for sake brewing. Perhaps because of this, it was personally the most delicious sake I have ever tasted. If someone asks me what my favorite sake is from now on, I would answer with Juyondai's Tatsunootokoko. If you were to buy a bottle, it would cost ¥48,800 for 1800ml (as of May 5, 2023 on Amazon). Despite being such an expensive Japanese sake, you could enjoy it by the glass for ¥1,300 as a limited offer for Children's Day. It was worth coming just to drink this Juyondai.
Kimijimaya is a historic liquor store founded in 1892 in Yokohama, where you can not only buy sake but also try tasting while standing. They have branches in Ebisu as well, not just in Yokohama and Ginza, and I highly recommend it. Located right below GOLD'S GYM, the access is excellent.

<April 2023 revisit> Tokyo Metro Ginza-itchome Station or JR Yurakucho Station is the nearest, about a 4-minute walk away. This liquor store is located under the influence of the expressway. This shop is popular not only for its selection of Japanese sake and wine but also for being a place where you can enjoy so-called "standing bar" in the Ginza area. On the eve of Golden Week... I decided to take advantage of the vacation I forcibly snatched and used, enjoying soba and sushi at Tsukiji Station, then wandering around the Ginza area. Feeling a bit thirsty, I decided to stop by here after a long time. Looking at the date of the review, it's been about 5 years since my last visit. I entered the store around 1 pm on a certain weekday... There were a few shoppers, but no one was using the standing bar space. I secured a seat facing the street side where I could see the street scene well and decided to enjoy the standing bar experience. [Order details] ・Rydeen Pilsner (550 yen) I walked from Tsukiji under the scorching sun, so I decided to quench my thirst with a beer first. I will have a Pilsner-style beer made by the super famous sake brewery Hakkaisan in Niigata Prefecture. It has a refined malt aroma and a refreshing bitterness. I think it's made in the style of a Japanese sake maker. ・Junmai Ginjo tasting set (600 yen) *Suumonoe Yataganeshi, Emojisou Sensation Kuro (draft) After quenching my thirst, I switched to Japanese sake and chose a cost-effective tasting set. As usual, I would like you to refer to the photo for details, but first, I tried Sumonoe, which is said to be a spring staple. It has a refreshing aroma reminiscent of spring, with a clean and refreshing umami spreading. The balance of refreshing aroma and taste, and the clean acidity in the aftertaste, make it very easy to drink. The other one is a standard product in the Emojisou lineup, a slightly dry and acidic type. It has a very good balance and is a sake that I would like to enjoy with snacks (laughs). After already visiting two other places, I enjoyed a beer and two types of Japanese sake in about an hour and felt very fulfilled. I revisited after a long time, and once again felt that this is a valuable place where you can enjoy good sake at a reasonable price. Despite the high-end products in the Ginza area, the basic idea is to enjoy standing bar. It is very enjoyable to drink delicious sake with a good cost performance while looking at the hustle and bustle of Ginza. I would like to seize the opportunity and visit again in the future. Thank you for the meal.

The outside of the shop was filled with empty bottles of rare sake, which got me excited. Although I couldn't find the sake I was looking for, I ended up buying a bottle of Nabeshima. There were also special items listed on a blackboard by the cashier, which were stored in the back of the shop and could be purchased upon request. The shop offered a point card system where you could accumulate points by spending money, and once you reached a certain amount, you could purchase rare sake like Juyondai. However, popular rare sakes like Juyondai did not earn you any points. Despite the slight confusion, the helpful staff suggested getting the point card for future purchases. Overall, I had a good impression of the shop and would like to visit again, especially for the sake tasting they offer.

This shop is a place that I have been curious about for a long time while strolling from Ginza to Tokyo Station. I was able to achieve my goal of visiting it after several years. The staff were very friendly and even told me about a PayPay coupon, giving me a 5% discount which made me feel like I got a good deal. They specialize in sales and standing bar service. They have a wide variety of products available for sale and tasting. The tastings are served in wine glasses, which adds a stylish touch. I would definitely like to drop by this shop again in the future!

To commemorate a special occasion, there was a special tasting event. Unfortunately, it's only available tomorrow. However, I tried the Junmai Daiginjo from Tatenokawa today. It's not the Junmai Daiginjo Juyondai, so I had to resist the temptation. Located between Ginza and Kyobashi, it's a place you shouldn't pass by without visiting. I couldn't help but be drawn in. While wine tends to be heavier, Japanese sake is refreshing. Looking at the sake menu is also enjoyable. My thoughts and heart wander. Having lived overseas for a long time, I want to learn more about Japan. Sake is a local treasure and heritage. It's the crystallization of people's thoughts and the pride of the Japanese. Through sake, you can see Japan's beautiful nature, water, and heart. ○ Tatenokawa Junmai Daiginjo, Tokubetsu (special bottle) 1200 yen ● Ezo deer salami ● Smelt tempura

Visited in December 2022. Ordered a 90ml glass of freshly squeezed Junmai Daiginjo sake "Fuyubiyori Shiboritate" for 700 yen and a 300 yen cheese miso pickle at 3.49 Suigei. Paid with PayPay. Went to ZAGIN at night. Tried to stop by the other day for a drink but the bar was closed. Managed to arrive 30 minutes earlier today and it was open. There were 2 customers before me and 1 after me. The bar has a small standing area beyond the counter, which is quite stylish. They offer a variety of drinks including sake, shochu, liqueur, wine, beer, and hard liquor, along with some light snacks. I had just visited the Kochi Antenna Shop earlier, so I ordered the Suigei sake and cheese miso pickle. Started drinking with my bag hanging under the counter. The view through the glass was of office buildings with lights still on, indicating people were still working. The Suigei Junmai Daiginjo had a rich flavor that went down smoothly. At 700 yen for 0.5 go, it's definitely a Ginza price! The cheese miso pickle, made with processed cheese and miso, was a perfect match for the sake. I might try making it with Nara miso at home. A nice spot in Ginza to take a breather before heading home. Gotta be careful not to drink too much.

A small liquor store in Ginza, located under the highway. The main store is in Yokohama and there is also a store in Ebisu, each with a different atmosphere. The unique feature of the Ginza store is that you can stand and drink at the counter. You can encounter rare drinks and limited edition menus on that day. The selection of wines, sparkling wines, and sake is also enjoyable.

The appearance of the BAR can be seen from the outside. Since there were no customers in the not-so-large interior, I decided to visit for the first time. The BAR allows alcohol orders until 40 minutes, and there are plenty of alcohol menu options. I ordered a tasting set of Miyama Nishiki sake in a wine glass, as I couldn't drink much in 40 minutes. For snacks, I ordered dried foods. The sake tasting set was recommended and it was easy to drink and delicious. After that, more and more customers came in, indicating its popularity.

Today was a silver curry day. Ate curry, and even after that, more curry, but with some time to spare, my wife and I went window shopping. Feeling tired, we decided to skip the cafe and instead, we visited Kimijimaya. We ordered a Kamikaminari Junmai Natsu Namagenshu and a Yuzu Soda at the standing bar. Both had a citrusy flavor and acidity. It was surprising that even the Kamikaminari had a citrusy taste. Taking a break from the scorching heat of over 30 degrees in May. Thank you for the meal.

Visited 'Ginza Kimijimaya' in January 2022. They had a special menu for the New Year, making it an exceptional lineup!
- Tasa Junmai Daiginjo 45% Yamadanishiki: A charming and fruity sake with flavors reminiscent of peaches and apples. The aftertaste lingers on the palate, truly wonderful!
- Hiroki Daiginjo: A sake with a nice aura, smooth texture with a crisp taste. I usually like Hiroki, but this one was particularly delicious!
- Yuhou Junmai Shubo Namazake: Slightly sparkling with a refreshing umami flavor and a good balance of acidity. Would be exceptional when paired with food.
- Egri Csillag Brut Les Premices: A mature and mellow sparkling wine with a rich depth of flavor and wonderful fruitiness and aroma.
- Ezo Deer Salami: Perfect for nibbling while enjoying the drinks. The lineup was special that day, but as always, it was amazing. Will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal!

I stopped by to buy some alcohol and found out that there was a standing bar area in the back where you could have a drink, so I decided to have a glass before heading home. I tried the Tonbo Sparkling that I had been curious about! The bottle looked cute from the outside. It was easy to drink as a sparkling wine, but it had a rich flavor of rice more than I had expected. For snacks, I chose smoked mackerel. It was incredibly delicious. Although the bottle was small, drinking it alone got me quite tipsy! (laughs) There was a time limit (I think it was 30 minutes), so I hurried to finish my drink, but to be honest, I wish I could have enjoyed it more slowly.

**Go here!** A stopover in Ginza to satisfy the desire for a little drink! This shop is part of the Kimijimaya group, which runs a liquor store in Yokohama. They have a wide range of Japanese sake, shochu, and wine. You can drink and buy delicious sake from all over the country. They also have seasonal limited editions and tasting menus, so it's a wonderful place to indulge in drinking too much.
**Pickup Menu:** Check out the posted images and additional comments for reference.
☑ Raiden Beer (330ml 600 yen)
☑ Murao and Manazuru sake (each 60ml 1,000 yen)
☑ Smoked mackerel (500 yen)
**Closing Remark:** Stop by for a quick drink in just 40 minutes. Started with beer to quench my thirst, then enjoyed the Murao sake slowly. Next, I'll try wine and more sake. This place is like heaven for a drinker. Drinking standing up is truly the best!

At the back of the liquor store "Kimijimaya" is a standing bar space. Can you enter the corner store? There were also dried snacks available. They have a variety of drinks including wine, sake, and shochu (*´ω`*). When I wandered around the store, I found many good drinks ( ̄ー ̄)ニヤリ The wine I purchased can be enjoyed in the standing bar space if you pay 2000 yen for a glass fee...nice~ (๑´ڡ`๑) On this day, there was only one type of red and white wine, but it seems like they have a different wine selection every month on weekends.

In November 2021, I visited "Ginza Kimijimaya", a liquor store where you can drink on the premises. They have a great selection of wines, shochu, and especially an impressive lineup of Japanese sake. The store is located near Ginza-itchome Station, along Sotobori Street.
- Etsugaijin Junmai Sake Yamahai Seo Rice Muroka Nama 600 yen
A fragrant sake with a rich flavor and a crisp finish. It has a nice balance with a moderate Yamahai flavor.
- Gikyou Junmai Genshu 500 yen
A sake with a short aftertaste that is refreshing and easy to drink.
- Shinomine Doburoku Nama 500 yen
A fruity sake with hints of pear and peach, not too sweet with a crisp finish. This one is really delicious.
- Miso-pickled cheese 300 yen
A perfect accompaniment to sake, enhances the taste of the sake. It was a great day enjoying delicious sake. I also bought Gikyou Junmai Genshu, a special contract sake made from specially cultivated rice, for 1595 yen on my way home. It is easy to pair with dishes and I enjoyed delicious sake at home. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

On a Saturday afternoon in Ginza, Tokyo, I came here to find a gift of alcohol. I have used this place before for purchasing sake. They have a variety of wines, sake, shochu, and interesting brands, which is why I find this place very convenient. This time, I bought gin, but since I was here, I decided to have a standing drink as well. They offer standing drinks for sake, wine, and other types of alcohol, although the selection is not extensive. They also have some light snacks, but I only had one drink on this day. I ordered Mizuo, a sake I had never seen before. It is from Nagano prefecture and the store owner once confused it with a similar-sounding sake. According to their website, Mizuo sake is made using 100% Nagano-grown sake rice, with 95% of it cultivated within 5km of the brewery. They also use spring water from Mizuo Mountain in Nozawa Onsen Village, located about 15km north of the brewery. The sake turned out to be more refined and of a higher quality than I had expected. It is not widely available in liquor stores nationwide, making it a rare and unique sake to enjoy.

I enjoyed a refreshing Jurawine with a tangy taste. It came with Mimolette cheese for 1000 yen. The wine was poured in a modest amount, making it a good first glass for a Sunday afternoon. I like being able to casually stop by and enjoy a delicious wine in a glass.

You can enjoy standing and drinking next to a liquor shop that sells wine and sake. The shelves are filled with various types of alcohol, while people can be seen sampling different drinks. It's fun to watch. There are also interesting menu items like miso-marinated cheese, potato salad, and even takoyaki. The recommended wines are displayed on a sign, making it easy to choose while enjoying a drink. Passersby seem intrigued by the shop, but it's hard not to feel a sense of superiority.
