Jazz Bird is a place located a little off Aoyama Street where you can listen to live music. I visited for the first time in about 10 years, and it hasn't changed at all since then. They don't have much food options, just pizza and fried rice, along with cheese, nuts, and sausages, with drinks being the main focus. It's a place where you can enjoy live performances, with today's lineup consisting of a vocalist, guitarist, pianist, bassist, and saxophonist. It's a cozy spot to listen to some great music.

I previously mentioned that I drank at a bar near the Nezu Museum, inspired by Haruki Murakami's novel "Drive My Car." After leaving the bar and walking towards the station, I noticed a sign that caught my eye. It is well-known that Murakami used to run a jazz bar before becoming a novelist, so I felt a connection and decided to stop by. They were in the middle of their second set, but I was ushered to a seat in front of the piano. I asked for a whiskey soda, and as I listened to the interesting lineup of twin altos and a flute, with a trombone joining in at times, I couldn't help but appreciate the live music experience. I even ordered the same drink again during the performance of Lee Morgan's "Candy." After the third set ended, I left the bar. It was a great experience. Items ordered: - Whiskey soda x 2 - Music charge: 1,780 yen Total (including tax): 4,620 yen - Credit cards accepted - 3-minute walk from Omotesando Station

I visited this place for the first time because my friend, who is a vertical bass player, was performing. It's a stylish area in Aoyama as expected. There were about 6 seats at each table, and we shared the appetizers that were served on large plates. I was alone, but the gentlemen at the same table were very wealthy and invited me to enjoy a cruise in Yokohama a few days later. It seems that the people who come to listen to jazz live performances are affluent. I used to be a big fan of jazz in my 20s and often went to concerts by Sonny Rollins and live shows at Blue Note Tokyo. After all, I used to work part-time at the Tower Records warehouse during my student days. I ended up feeling great after being poured a lot of red wine by everyone, and I definitely want to go back.

I learned about a Jazz Bar called "Jazz Bird" from a gentleman I met at a certain izakaya. On this day, his favorite female vocalist was performing, so I decided to check it out. Located in a small alley off Aoyama Street, you can spot it by the orange sleeve sign. Inside, there is a floor with a bar counter where you can drink and eat without a music charge. However, I headed downstairs to the stage floor to watch the live performance. I was seated at a table near the stage, which was actually one step down and had a board placed on top of the grand piano for seating. I ordered an IW Harper and tried the Duck Pate and Mix Pizza from the menu, both of which were delicious. The band consisted of a piano, drums, wood bass, and vocals, which was a traditional setup and a good experience for my first time at a Jazz Bar. It was my first time seeing a drummer play with brushes up close, and it inspired me to want to play music again. I am grateful to the gentleman who introduced me to the Jazz Bar experience.

The appetizer was a cheese assortment. The portion was generous, so I was satisfied. I had bourbon on the rocks as my drink. It had been a while since I last listened to live jazz music, so I had a great evening. I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal.

I found this place by chance and decided to check it out as I had been curious about it for a while. There is a music charge of 1500 yen per person, plus you need to order a drink separately. The charge may vary depending on the day, so it's recommended to check in advance. The bar has a semi-basement feel, and you enter by going down some stairs. It's a long and narrow place, with a band playing at the back. On the day I visited, a female singer was performing and she was really good. The atmosphere seemed to have a lot of regular customers, which is common for jazz bars. The drink menu was extensive, covering whiskies, brandies, liquors, and wines. They even had some high-quality whiskies, perfect for savoring while listening to jazz. They also offer food and party menus, but I only had some olives and nuts as I went after dinner. It's a casual place, so I'd like to go back again. I didn't make a reservation and could enter, but it might be better to make one next time.

Last night, I went to a live jazz performance at Jazz Bird in Aoyama. The Fujiyama Sisters led by Toko Asakura were playing. The place was crowded, so when I ordered pizza, it took an hour to arrive. The pizza had a lot of prosciutto on top, making it a bit too salty for my taste, so I could only eat about half of it. Well, I wasn't expecting much from the food since the main attraction was the live music. Since it was getting late, they kindly gave us cheese sticks as a complimentary snack, which was a nice touch. I had a few glasses of white wine mixed with Perrier and was in a good mood. The lady running the place was quite pleasant... ironically.

I added 61 photos for June 2015. Today, I went to listen to a live performance by a trio of beautiful female friends (from the past). I enjoyed three glasses of Maker's Mark highball while being enchanted by their beautiful singing voices. In August 2014, I visited a jazz bar to see a performance by a group of four friends who sing together. The bar is located on a side street off Aoyama-dori towards Akasaka Mitsuke from Omotesando. As soon as you go downstairs, you can hear the beautiful singing voices. The place was already crowded, but I had made a reservation so I was shown to my seat. I had already eaten, so I only had some sausage platter, prosciutto, cheese platter, and various other snacks available, as well as some pizzas and pastas. I enjoyed drinks like Gin Rickey, Jack Daniel's highball, and Boston Cooler while listening to my friends sing solos, duets, trios, and quartets. I didn't try the food myself, but seeing some people enjoying it, it seemed to be quite delicious. I had two drinks of three different cocktails, all of which were delicious. The atmosphere in the jazz bar was quite nice, so I think it would be a good idea to go there occasionally with your spouse or partner.

JAZZBIRD is quietly nestled just off the main street of Aoyama. The dimly lit interior features counter seats, table seating, and a stage for live music on the lower level. The drink menu is extensive, giving off a sophisticated urban vibe. I ordered a Glenlivet & Tennessee Whiskey while enjoying the jazz music. It's a perfect spot for a date, meeting friends, or unwinding after work. The lovely and charming owner is a highlight of the place. Highly recommended for a memorable experience.

It is located in a prime location in front of Omotesando Station. Various performers take the stage, ranging from amateurs to professionals depending on the day. There is a grand piano and a combo stage. They offer a wide selection of drinks and snacks.

A friend gave me a jazz CD as a gift, and I was drawn to visit this restaurant where the bassist from the CD performs regularly. It has been about two years since my first visit, and I was surprised by the open and warm atmosphere that made it easy for even someone like me, who is not very knowledgeable about jazz (or music in general), to feel comfortable. I have since visited the restaurant frequently, sometimes with friends, and have been impressed by the diverse clientele ranging from individuals to groups of four or five, and spanning ages from twenties to sixties. It was a revelation to discover that there are so many jazz enthusiasts in Japan. Although I hesitated to post on Tabelog, I couldn't resist sharing my experience of the wonderful evenings spent at this place. The menu includes salads, pizzas, pastas, as well as appetizers like sausages, marinated vegetables, cured ham, cheese, olives, dried fruits, and mixed nuts. However, the main attraction of this restaurant is the live jazz performances. The musicians, both professional and amateur, all display a high level of skill and a genuine love for jazz. Each visit leaves me feeling happy and content. It's a joy to know that there is a place where you can enjoy such a lovely evening. Whether listening during a meal or sipping drinks afterwards, whether staying for a few songs or for the entire performance, everyone can enjoy the music in their own way. Jazz may seem intimidating, but the welcoming atmosphere of this restaurant makes it accessible to all.

A friend was going to be late due to overtime, so I decided to kill time and randomly entered JAZZ BIRD. I wasn't expecting much from the music or drinks since my purpose was just to pass the time, but the music was surprisingly good! (The drinks were just okay). The music charge of 1300 yen is cheap in my opinion. The dishes I ordered were: Sausage platter, Tomato salad, Gorgonzola pasta, and white wine x 3. The total came to around 9000 yen. (I sat at the counter and noticed that one of the female staff was tapping her fists on the table along with the music to keep the rhythm, which was a bit distracting but bearable. There is no non-smoking section, so non-smokers will have to endure it.)

After dinner, I wanted to have a drink with my wife and we strolled around Omotesando. We were drawn to a jazz bar we happened to see and decided to go in. That day, there was a female vocalist performing, and since it was the Christmas season, there were many Christmas-themed songs which created a nice atmosphere. However, listening to jazz performed live is always enjoyable no matter the song. They had a good selection of drinks and snacks available. It's a nice place to experience a slightly different atmosphere. I think it's a good jazz bar where you can easily enjoy yourself, and I would like to visit again.

I found this shop while walking around with my friend and decided to stop by. We visited around 7:30 pm on a Friday. The place was not very crowded, with only about half of the area where you can listen to jazz music being filled up when the performance started. The music charge of 1300 yen is quite cheap, which is great. We had some pizza and pickles for food, and they were made nicely. The cocktails they offer are pretty standard, but they tasted good. It's a nice place to enjoy jazz at a reasonable price and have some drinks. However, on this day, we were unlucky to have a young couple who talked loudly during the performance, which was quite disappointing.

I visited a shop in Omotesando for a friend's birthday party where you can enjoy live music and drinks. It's located in a small alley near Omotesando Station, and the atmosphere with the lighting and live music on two different levels was stylish. The overall vibe, comfort, and the staff were great. It's a place where both couples and groups can have a good time.
