Shinagawa Konan Exit is a ramen restaurant located on the basement floor of an office building. I visited around 6 pm on a weekday and there were no other customers. Upon entering, you buy a meal ticket. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen for 900 yen. They also offer a lunch set with a daily ramen and weekly rice bowl for 1100 yen, which is a good deal. The ramen arrived in about 5 minutes, with smooth straight noodles topped with spinach, bean sprouts, and chashu. The soup, despite being tonkotsu, was thin and light, with a strong garlic flavor. They have a variety of noodle options, but the tonkotsu may have been a disappointment. Looking forward to trying the others.

The clean and bright interior of the restaurant makes it easy for women to enter. I was torn between my favorite tsukemen and one of the standout menu items, the beef belly tantan men. The beef belly meat, which I thought would be tender, was a bit tough and I struggled to chew it. The noodles were to my liking, firm, and the soup had a surprising refreshing taste with a hint of spiciness, unlike the sweet miso-based flavor I had imagined. It was a different taste from what I usually have, but I enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly.

I tried the limited-time cold sesame tantan noodles for lunch. The refreshing scent of Sichuan pepper, the flavor of ground sesame, the crunch of nuts, and the perfect level of spiciness all combined to create a high-quality dish. I will continue to use this for everyday meals!

I revisited Menya Kukai in Shinagawa, Tokyo. This ramen shop offers a wide variety of options including tonkotsu, shoyu, miso, and tsukemen. I am a fan of their rich black sesame tantanmen, so I ordered it again after a few years. It was delicious, and I ended up finishing the soup completely.

Everyone, this is a restaurant where tantanmen is the only choice! To be honest, the other ramen options are not that great, but when it comes to tantanmen, I believe this place serves the best. This time, I had the white tantan. The black tantan is also delicious with a strong pepper flavor, but it makes me sweat too much...

Thursday's set meal was the Ajitama ramen (1050 yen). I chose my favorite Tan Tan rice as a side dish, with soy sauce. The Ajitama ramen came with all the toppings, which made me happy. I also enjoyed adding vinegar halfway through for a different taste. It was my first time dining with this group of people. Let's try the Tan Tan noodles set next time.

I am a fan of the shio ramen and tsukemen at the Sankaibashi location, but this time I tried the shio ramen for 850 yen at the Shinagawa location. Unfortunately, the taste was completely different. Even taking that into consideration, it just didn't suit my palate. The noodles were thin and for some reason the bamboo shoots had a sour taste. However, if you like a refreshing ramen, I would recommend it. If I have the chance to go again, I think I'll order the tsukemen.

I visited a ramen restaurant near Shinagawa Station at Shinagawa Grand Passage in Tokyo for lunch. I tried the Special Beef Belly Noodles for ¥1,400. It was a bit pricey, but the soup was rich and the beef belly was deliciously tender. I wish the side menu was a bit more varied.

Today's Monday special, the Tan Tan set (1050 yen), featured a rare white sesame Tan Tan noodles. Normally it's made with black sesame, but today I was in the mood for white sesame. It looked so delicious and I was really happy. My girlfriend, who was enjoying the Tan Tan with me, is moving on to a new path. It's been a while since I had tantanmen on a Monday. I went to the restaurant with two friends for the tantan trio set. I had kept my breakfast light because I had decided to have tantanmen today. I got excited while taking photos. We enjoyed our meal saying how happy we were to be having it after a long time. I chose chashu as the topping using my JAF card, it looked great with the seasoned egg. The almond jelly dessert was delicious as always.

I went around 1 pm on a weekday. After buying my meal ticket, I was seated right away. While I was buying the ticket, a glass of water was already prepared at my table. I ordered the Special Beef Belly Ramen for 1,400 yen. The meat was tender and juicy, and the wontons were smooth. The soup was rich and very delicious. I thought the noodles could have been a bit thicker.

Around 12:30, there were a few people lining up, but the turnover was fast and we were able to enter quickly. I had the daily special lunch set (Thursday) with Ajitama ramen and chicken soboro bowl. The soy sauce ramen was simple and delicious, with tasty bamboo shoots. The chicken soboro bowl was sweet and salty, and very tasty.

Today is the last Monday of the year. It's the final day for our "Team Monday Tantan" tradition this year. All three team members had the black sesame tantan noodles set. We wanted to try putting rice in the soup at the end, so we turned it into a chicken rice bowl. Even the new male member tried the black sesame tantan noodles today. Thank you for this year. As the year comes to a close, we decided to have a special lunch to celebrate the end of the year. We chose the Monday special tantan-men set, which includes toppings. One of us had a JAF card, so we all got an extra topping of seasoned egg. It was a nice change from eating at home and we were all satisfied with our meal.

The tantanmen here has a spicy flavor with a strong pepper taste, making you want to finish every drop of the soup. The lunch bonus donburi can be hit or miss. I have also tried the tonkotsu ramen here, but it was mediocre.

The noodles and soup go well together. The chicken meat topping may vary depending on the day, but recently it has been soft and well-cooked.

There were four of us, three girls who love tantanmen and one guy who had never been before. I told him that we plan to eat until we're satisfied. He seemed satisfied with the delicious black sesame tantanmen. Unfortunately, they had run out of special discount coupons. But it's okay because on Mondays, you can still get a delicious almond tofu set. We also found out that they offer extra toppings if you show your JAF card.

Today, I had the white sesame tantan noodles and almond jelly with a special discount coupon. Although I usually go for the black sesame tantan noodles, the white sesame tantan noodles with extra vinegar and chili oil were incredibly delicious! It's tasty on its own, but the flavor variation was also amazing. The almond jelly is always delicious. It's great that you can enjoy this special tantan noodles and almond jelly for only 930 yen. I chose the black sesame tantan noodles with a mini bowl. I was seated and my food was served promptly. First, I tried the black sesame tantan noodles. It was black in color and quite spicy. The taste of black sesame was strong, which might appeal to younger people. Next, I had the mini pork bowl, which was made with chicken. It had a sweet and savory flavor that went well with the rice. I will try something different next time.
